Pogledao 1883

3762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 07, 2022, 10:43:09 AM
To refine what I meant, I was trying to say I think Dune is more of a technical win candidate then an overall winner on the acting or story side of the Oscars.  Sometimes they win both but this time I think we could see more of a split
Yeah I don't expect Dune to win may Oscars (of any) outside tehnical ones. Unfortunately that's how it goes when it comes to sci-fi movies.

We have come a long way in budgets, I remember Titanic was gigantically expensive at 200m.
Titanic was the most expensive movie for something like 10 years and it really stood out back in those days. It paid off though as it was the highest grossing movie until Avatar came.

I always look at the ratio of the rough return they got, this doesn't exclude extra such as franchise rights for models/toys possibly etc. which can be massive.
Of course, there is a lot of money to be made from dvds, blurays, streaming rights, toys etc. One thing to keep in mind is that when we see that some movie grossed let's say $500 million, that doesn't mean that all that money goes to them as you have to deduct percentage that cinemas take and others in that chain so realistically what's left is maybe 50% of the box office, at best.
3763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 07, 2022, 10:08:53 AM
You can simply have binance card or other alt project based CC to make the payments. I don’t know what difference it would make after they launch their own acceptance criteria.
Well, there is a difference: in case of using Binance card, you have to have funds on Binance meaning you are not in the real control of your crypto, no matter how reliable/reputable Binance is. Don't get me wrong, I like their card and I am using it on the regular basis, but I would prefer if there is some better way to sepend my crypto without keeping my crypto in other man's hands.

How does this gonna work? You're still required to have some FIAT in case of returns, defects and etc.
Yeah that's a good question. People like eBay as they have good customer support & they feel safe buying there so would be interesting it to see how would they solve that issue. Honestly, I don't accept eBay accepting BTC directly peer to peer anytime soon. If/when it happens, first it will be through some 3rd party payment processor.
3764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and yield farming on: March 07, 2022, 08:17:11 AM
Currently, BTC has 719% APY (https://wowswap.io/earn) which makes it a very attractive proposition to lend especially in the current volatile markets.

You might have created wowswap thread in the altcoin section instead as point of this thread is obviously to promote than altcoin project and not to look for the best place earn BTC passively. But let's say that you really want to give someone else your BTC and earn passive income from it, probably the safest option (more precisely least risky) is Celsius with ~5% APY on BTC. I know couple of people that are using it and are quite satisfied with it but I personally wouldn't trust them with my BTC.

Anyway, expect your thread to be moved to altcoin section where it belongs.
3765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Attacks and Criticism on: March 07, 2022, 08:02:59 AM
Someone will write article with his own experience but another person will say it is not true.. That means you are calling him a lier..
But what's the point of sharing your experience via  forum if people wont share their opinion on it? You might as well share that on a blog.

And those people that condemn work are getting more merits than the OP himself from his own experience.
Based on description, I guess that you are referring to A Disadvantage of Bitcoin Talk Forum and Crypto with the Cost of Smart Phone thread of yours in which I don't see people attacking you. Disagreeing yes, but that;';s how it goes on the forums. If you can't handle comments like in that thread you will have a very hard time here. My advice: grow thicker skin.
3766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 06, 2022, 09:52:52 PM
i can say Dune has been done good as i watched this movie also. the producers of this movie are not stingy to create a good film
Dune's budget has been 165 million dollars which sound a lot at first, but in reality it's not even among top 100 most expensive movies of all time so kudos to Denis Villeneuve for making a movie that looks way more expensive than it was. So far Dune grossed approximately 400 million dollars which is a decent number. If there as no covid, I am sure that number would be at least 50% higher, but even this is enough to get a sequel which is already in production and should be released next year.

Dune could win the production oscars for professionalism but I think Belfast will have the better chance of best film, direction which are considered the bigger categories overall.   Im not sure we have one film which sweeps the board as sometimes happens, I see more fragmentation this time around.
There is no  "production oscars for professionalism". When it comes to producers, they get Best Picture Oscar.
3767  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kucoin claiming kyc now mandatory demanding ID documents to withdraw on: March 06, 2022, 09:40:48 PM
No kidding--that's way too much money to be leaving it on any crypto exchange, even if it's one with an excellent reputation.
Yep. Binance, Coinbase, FTX, you name it. Not a single centralized exchange I would entrust six digit number of dollars.

Cryptsy had a similar reputation right before they absconded with all of their customers' funds, and I'm sure there are at least a dozen other exchanges that have pulled the same crap over the years that I'm just not recalling at the moment.
Tbh, I am not so much afraid that Coinbase or Binance will suddenly disappear with everyone's money, but that they will choose to lock my funds for whatever bullshit reason they come up with. And then what to do, go to the legal battle against them? Good luck with that.

The KYC requirement probably has to do with the amounts in question, because smaller traders don't usually have problems with Kucoin or have to submit their ID documentation for any reason.
Yeah Kucoin has a decent exchange and in almost 5 years never had any issues or was asked for KYC, but I also never had more than low 4 digit number worth of crypto there, and it was only for a couple of days max.
3768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 05, 2022, 10:10:18 PM
I did not like Licorice Pizza so much, however, it quickly made me think of the best original screenplay category when I was watching it. I searched the odds and it confirmed the speculation.
Hah really? I honestly didn't have that though about any of the movies I saw so far.

I also recommend everyone to watch Drive my car. It might be the underdog of 2022 hehehe.
I haven't seen that one yet as I have issues finding 3 hours of spare time to watch it one go, even though by the looks of it looks like something I might like.

I watched " the power of the dog" I couldn't digest the thought that it is in Oscar nomination. I could hardly watch half the movies and turned off the TV, thinking what made jury bring this movie to the Oscar nomination. I think they have all the things planned and they see their interest and decide what they want people to watch.
Slow burn drama movies like that are certainly not everyone's cup of tea so I can understand someone not liking it. You probably didn't like last year winners as well, Nomadland?

Doesn't mean all the top ones do neither, Endgame was the top grossing and got zero. But if you check every single winner of Oscars best movie award, you will realize that most of the time they are boring movies. They pick boring movies, last year it was nomadland, like do you really think that it was the BEST movie of last year? Really? Nobody thinks that at all, hence Oscars are 100% DEFINITELY not the indicator of any movies quality.
Just because some movie earns a lot of money doesn't mean its quality but only that is popular and Oscars isn't popularity contest. Of course, Academy has its agenda that they push, but its still better than giving Oscars based on popularity/box office results as that it would be much worse.

Boring to you maybe, Nomadland was pretty good movie. You know what's boring for me? Mindless superhero movies like Avengers, Spidermans and all similar crap. I honestly  can' stand that shit.
3769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kucoin claiming kyc now mandatory demanding ID documents to withdraw on: March 05, 2022, 04:49:49 PM
Huh, had no idea KuCoin has ANN thread here and what's even better, their account is still active so hopefully OP gets some kind of answer. I've been sing KuCoin since 2017 and never had any issues whatsoever. Then again, I never had that amount of money there like OP, and never would, on any centralized exchange.

To be honest I'm not surprised why they ask you KYC, because you leave huge funds on there and almost any platform will process big funds withdrawal manually.
True, when you are moving that kind of money you can expect exchange asking for KYC. It sucks, but that's one of the many risks of dealing with centralized exchange as they can do pretty much anything they want with your money. That old saying "not your keys not your coins" is for a reason.

Wait... you have been creating topic on 5 months ago, why you comeback after 5 months? KuCoin is freezing my funds and not providing adequate customer supporr
I see some people even told him to ask in KuCoin thread, which he never did...

3771  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kucoin claiming kyc now mandatory demanding ID documents to withdraw on: March 05, 2022, 10:16:47 AM
Please help.
This issue has been lingering too long...
Unfortunately, nothing we can do about it here on bitcointalk as KuCoin doesn't have an official thread here so we can't even try t press them via negative feedback. All this time I thought of KuCoin as a pretty reliable exchange, but it proves once again how dangerous is to keep so much money on centralized exchange, even if it has solid reputation.

By the way, have you tried getting some attention by posting this stuff under one of their tweets as  I know some cases where people managed to get an response. Even  it was another exchange, not KuCoin but at this point doesn't hurt trying that as well since you oney has been stucked for so long and honestly it doesn't look good.
3772  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for real estate for investment (Does this service exist?) on: March 05, 2022, 08:31:55 AM
As I mentioned in original post, I'm currently not interested in partial ownership.
Yeah we understand that but AFAIK RealT is the closest thing to what you are looking for, while being completely legit. Anyway, good luck with your search as you will definitely need it to find something that meets all of your requirements.

Thank you for your feedback. But seriously, 10% ROI means you have to wait for 10 years to get even. I'm not sure if Ethereum infrastructure (which realt relies on) can continue to exist next 10 years...
In case something happens to Ethereum (whichs always a possibility in altcoin world) they can always do a swap to some other blockchain so I don't see that as some sort of a problem.
3773  Economy / Reputation / Re: V3rtigo deleted our posts, he made it self-moderated on: March 04, 2022, 09:24:33 PM
m. If it was mods, you wouldn't see this count.

On top of that he even announced prior to deleting that all posts expect his will be removed so no questions who did that.

I think he deserves a negative trust because he should not be trusted as he is newbie that created a self-moderated topic to manipulate to scam. This could probably lead to scam.
Nothing wrong with creating self-moderated thread but deleting all comments is definitely suspicious. Someone who plans to do job as advertised shouldn't be afraid of the comments and questions. Anyway, left him negative feedback.

3774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 04, 2022, 01:48:16 PM
I am not certain if the best adapted and original screenplay categories is a minor or a major category, however, after I watched The Licorice Pizza I knew it would be my bet for best screenplay. The odds confirmed it when the sportsbooks began listing it.
You liked Licorice Pizza so much? For me it's one of the weakest movies in the "Best Picture" category and a big disappointment, probably because I usually like Paul Thomas Anderson movies but this one simply didn't sit well with me. My personal favorite among "best original screenplay" (I think its an important category) movies is probably Don't Look Up, even though I think it won't win the award. Overall this year's best original screenplay category is kinda weak.

On Chadwick Boseman, we should also know in what political storyline the academy voters are in the mood for hehehe. The academy members might have wanted to forget the memory of black lives matter and voted for the actor with priest role hehehehe.
Hah yeah, he was favorite purely because of his death and all the "Black Lives Matter" stuff, but it was perfectly clear to everyone that Anthony Hopkins performance was superior. Then again, being the best actor of the year doesn't mean that you will get the Oscar and same thing goes for every other category.

Last night I watched another "Best Picture" nominee, Spielberg's West Side Story. Another big disappointment, no chemistry between main characters at all.  I have no idea how that ended up being nominated in that category, maybe because Steven Spielberg reputation. It's one of those movies that shouldn't have been made at all, since the original West Side Story from 1961 still works. After all, that movie won 10 Oscars back in the day.
3775  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: March 04, 2022, 12:54:54 PM
Uh...
3776  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: March 04, 2022, 12:27:11 PM
Ahh, how happy I am to learn that it wasn't just me that think they're a bit off. I've been curious and suspecting that they're part of a group, unfortunately I didn't have enough evidence to proof that they're indeed connected --other than the aforementioned same thread ann style and each of them commenting each other's thread.
I've been asking details about their project for a while and each of them, one by one, started to "didn't see" my questions
Yeah I saw that you have been active in a couple of their threads, asking questions and that's what they usually do; they ignore legit and often tough questions and focus on the redundant ones done by shillers.

Wirh that said and my suspicion shown to be quite justified, i took a slightly deeper search and found these other threads with similar thread title style, similar post pattern [see quoted below], and within these thread are username with bumping services that's already tagged by lovesmayfamilis, so I think they who rikafip listef above is a part of the same bumping service

[ANN] ✨✨✨ Shuna Inuverse ✨✨✨ Next-gen gaming NFT utility initiative
[ANN] ✨✨✨ SAWA ✨✨✨ Crypto Fund Syndicate Protocol
[ANN] ✨✨✨ Fomo Chronicles ✨✨✨ Where NFTs Meet Art
[ANN] ✨✨✨ LaCucina ✨✨✨ New and exciting ways to succeed in DeFi with NFTs
Good find! Yes, those 4 threads are definitely part of the same group, done by the same people and will be tagged as well. This has to be one of the laziest bumping groups I've seen so far. I guess they thought that it will look better of Copper members are active there instead Newbie accounts but they didn't count that someone will connect them which wasn't hard at all as they used the identical name format for all of their threads.
3777  Other / Meta / Re: Extended Ranks Proposal on: March 04, 2022, 11:39:13 AM
Even altcointalks has more ranks
That's just another proof that bitcointalk doesn't need more ranks in order to be successful.

Looking now at their ranks and on top of totally overdoing it, some of their rank don't even make much sense. Take for example "Padawan" rank which is the 2nd highest rank on altcointalk. That word comes from Star Wars universe and generally means apprentice, begginer, someone who just started learning while for them that's one of the highest possible ranks. If anything, that should be one of the lowest ranks.

3778  Other / Meta / Re: Extended Ranks Proposal on: March 04, 2022, 11:00:15 AM
Instead of introducing new ranks, I would recommend more merit requirement per rank. Well it's not to make the process harder to rank up but to make it more precise. I mean 100 merit for Full Member really sounds too low and so does the above ranks.
Another bad suggestion that was shared many times before in the pas as its not like we have bunch of quality new users that are ranking up very fast. On the contrary, situation is completely different and it's not an easy task for an average member to reach Full Member, let alone Legendary.

Keep in mind that one of the main purposes of merit system is to simply prevent spammers and shitposters ever reaching higher ranks and not to make it very hard for decent members to rank up.

3779  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: March 04, 2022, 09:51:31 AM

I took a look over all these topics but I could find only 8 posts deserving to be reported (and, of course, I reported them Smiley). Perhaps someone else already reported others and they were already deleted? Anyway, I'll keep them under observation. Great finding, Rikafip!
From what I could see they are taking more cautious approach and not spamming with bunch of newbie accounts, but still their tactic is pretty stupid as its even more suspicious to see another project's account being active in another thread and asking all those redundant question.

With that being said, they are promoting these shitcoin projects in other threads as well. Just take a look at the post below, Z1_FINANCIAL shilling NEXUM , with the help of Yacht_X_Coin, and if someone thinks that all this is just a coincidence, 3rd account involved in this is nikita2020 who is already tagged for being part of shilling group.

After a fall will be a rise. It is necessary just to wait.
In the long term, cryptocurrency continues to rise.
But a lot depends on how useful is a project.
For example, appear projects that offer benefits for the shipping industry like this https://twitter.com/CoinNexum/status/1492571253336588292

A lot depends on how useful is cryptocurrency. Now more and more people use cryptocurrency because they do not trust fiat.
In many countries the inflation now is very big. So I think that demand in cryptocurrency will continue to rise.

Cryptocurrency market continue to restore.
Now there are so many economical and political problems in the world that many people prefer to use cryptocurrencies.
Inflation in many countries is so big that people prefer to use cryptocurrency for investment purposes.

Please, keep doing that! Smiley I bet you never thought about what I'll say now: my dear Rikafip, during my long campaigns of cleaning topics, many times I was unsure if a post deserves or not to be deleted. But in most of these cases I was helped in taking the decision of making the report by seeing a "-1" at the Trust score of the respective user (or a higher negative score). In many cases it was because you added a negative feedback explaining the respective one is a spammer. These feedbacks helped me a lot and, probably, help other reporters as well. So please, don't stop tagging these users. Your actions are very helpful, and probably way more helpful than you ever thought!
Yeah, haven't though of that, that tagging shillers might help the others identifying spam posts as I never really did it that way. The main reason I stopped is because these "marketing agencies" (in most cases Vitor Services) just ditch those tagged accounts as start using the new ones so in the end i got frustrated and stopped with that. Imho, probably the best way to deal with them is to report them so they get nuked and all of their posts deleted in the process. With these six accounts I will definitely make an exception and tag them as they invested some money into these, buying Copper membership.
3780  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: March 03, 2022, 10:38:05 PM
After reporting 57 posts from Flag Network topic, all made during the first day it was launched, mods locked it. Probably, the spam inside that topic was too aggressive. I saw Newbies spamming about it even in other topics.
Hm, are you sure that mods locked that thread? I mean, it would be great if they started locking threads that hired bumping service, but for me its more likely that OP simply decided to lock the thread as he was just hired to post the ANN.

And yeah, keep it up buddy!

I just stumbled upon an interesting way to bump the threads. By "interesting" I mean one of the stupidest ways I've seen so far. So, as you can see in the screenshot below, there are several ANN threads that look very similar with all those tacky icons, immediately drawing suspicion that it's the same person (or group of people) behind all those threads.

Like that is not enough, they decided to raise the suspicion further by being active in each other's thread, asking classic stupid shill questions. So, YachtX Coin acc goes into CLIME Finance, then CLIME Finance goes into GOGE, GOGE goes into Nexum etc. One happy little circlejerk and an incredibly stupid way to bum the threads.

I kinda stopped tagging shillers as it's nothing but a whack-a-mole game but in this case I think I will make an exception as they are creators of the threads as well. If I get some free time on my hands might as well check those projects because I think that something might be found if i dig deep enough.
