I'm still surprised what has really happened to Manchester City not to win against Southampton , well that's football for you, winning can not always be on your side. They still did their best in the game.
Seeing Man City 1 goal behind Southampton most of the game was disturbing. They managed to score at the second half and I was expecting another goal honestly but this doesn't happen and 1 point is better than nothing. Their good record was stopped by Southampton today, and they are 6 goals in front of Liverpool assuming they will win their 2 missed games. |

the downhill slide of borussia mönchengladbach continues - the club lost 1-2 at home to union berlin today.
Just have seen the results now of the saturday games , and i guess its getting close now for the Coach of Gladbach after the lost match about Union Berlin. Also i am glad that Dortmund managed a win against Hoffenheim so that they can catch up on Bayern Munich , sad to hear that Haaland is injured again. A big respect to Greuther Fürth for another win today as i was expecting that they losing this match. The outcome of the first 3 matches were quite unexpected.. Frankfurt lost vs Bielefeld, Mainz lost vs Fürth! Now I wouldn't say that M'Gladbach defeat is really unexpected but whenever you give them some hope to do something even in their home they fail you. Typically M'Gladbach  I didn't watch Dortmund game but it seems that Hoffenheim was controlling it the most and now with Haaland injury, they might be in trouble when facing Leverkusen in 2 weeks. |

Sevilla are losing in the first half 2 0 against celta vigo it was not expected since they need th three points in order to stay close to real madrid now they need a miracle if they want to win this game the last time they scored 3 goals was in the 10th round.

Proud of Manchester United in today's game, they played an excellent game. Good to see martial in the game , it would have look some how if West Ham had won the game. Great performance from Manchester United.
The game almost end goalless until Rashford scored in the additional time. Playing good without scoring is a thing and getting 3 points in every game is another thing which is important. Anyway, ManU advanced to the 4th spot with 1 lacking game so it could get away further from WHU and closer to Chelsea. Well Spurs and Arsenal have many lacking games too BTW. |

I also didn't expect Gambia to beat Tunisia, moreover Tunisia is filled with some famous football stars who play in big leagues. According to the results of their match statistics, Tunisia dominated 70% of the game, unfortunately even though they continued to attack, their shots on goal (Tunisia) were not more than 25% of their shots. They lack concentration and the ability to score penalties. Tunisia and Algeria were expected to play finals but the latter was kicked from the group stage and Tunisia has to be lucky to win vs Nigeria. In that match, I would say Tunisian could get a draw at best but their failure in penalties make me wonder how could they pass Nigeria? They won't imo. |

I am very curious what will be the result of the match between verona and bologna.
Salernitana winning vs Verona made me very sceptical about them in today's game, although Bologna isn't a hard team to win vs.. The Milan - Juventus game is going to be really important for both sides.
Juve needs to win to stay as close as possible to the CL zone while Milan has to win or else Inter will run away from them. I think Juve or a draw is possible. Not sure Milan can do it at this point. |

I see very easy games for the 1/8 finals for most of the favorites,well except the Ivory Coast vs Egypt game which I cannot predict who will move further in the tournament,personally I like both teams and I would love them to pass both but this is not possible.All other strong teams should pass very easily their games and I don't think there will be room for surprises as the teams will be 100% committed to play the best football in order to advance as far as possible in the tournament so there is money to be made on these games.
I placed a multi-bet on Nigeria,, Senegal, Morocco and Cameroon at 4.5 which I find a good one. I hate risking coins on some random African games with questionable games running there but decided to try it at the end with those 4. Hopefully they will not disappoint.. |

Barcelona team managed to equalize at the last minute against bilbao to make it 2 2 it was surprising considering that they only had two goal attempts and they managed to score two goals now they will play extra time if they manage to win today it will be thanks to ter stegen.
We have two games today in Copa Del Rey and the result of both matches has to be determined after extra time! Real Madrid win with 2 goals scored after being late with 1 goal. M'Gladbach is doing a weird job over there. The coach should tell them every match that they will play vs Bayern and not the other club  and yeah changing coach might be a solution in some cases.. It seems like Lille continue to do a good job. After stealing a point from Marseille in that really tough game, they are 3-0 ahead against Lorient also. There is not much time left for the end and they are close to getting a comfortable win. By this win, they are likely to rise to the eight place in the standings by getting past Montpellier. Because Montpellier are playing with ten players against Troyes now and they are 1-0 behind in their home game. Lille really give hope to me as they are continuing to climb. I would like to see the last champion finishing the season at a decent place.
So far Lille is doing fine but what happened to them in the beginning of the season until rounds ago will make them vulnerable. I mean they aren't that far from Strasbourg, it is a matter of 1 game, but picking a CL spot will be harder since teams there aren't losing that much. Obviously the first place isn't available this season for anyone except PSG. |

I'm not so sure about the overtime since I've seen some games where the referee allows a few more minutes beyond what's allowed for extra time before blowing the whistle. I think they have a time keeper that relays how many seconds were used up during celebrations and "injury". Yeah they have a timer to estimate the extra time but referees are free to not respect it and end the game whenever they want. I remember a game in some competition in Qatar this year involving that country BTW where 18 minutes were add to the game! In AFCON few days ago, the game lasted less than 90 minutes. It is a joke and players don't know exactly when the game will finish which will make them taking it easily waiting for the referee to stop it but it might take longer time. Anyway, my 2 cents and that doesn't justify not playing seriously until the last whistle. Leicester players have to blame themselves for what happened. |

Final score 1-1 Sevilla failed to get 3 points even though Sevilla controlled the match with 68% ball possession it's just that Valencia's defense was solid today
Sharing points does not change the ranking of both teams but Sevilla failed to keep the points gap even though if Sevilla win the difference in points is 2 which means the competition for the title is still open.
The competition is still ahead regarding the non big gap between Sevilla and Real Madrid but 5 points difference will make RM players less stressed while Sevilla ones on pressure to try to catch them. Valencia will play next vs ATM, they have quite hard games from Real Madrid to Sevilla then ATM in 2 weeks period! |

And it is nice to see them scoring many goals too ....how is it possible that the leicester defense allowed something like that? this is insane and unacceptable.
Lapses during the game do happen since they probably thought there's no way their opponent could score in the last couple of minutes. I don't remember the manager who said it before but it only takes a second or two to score and we've seen many last minute goals happen on many occasion. Referees in EPL have to get some training from Mr Sikazwe to avoid such awkward finish  A bit serious that was quite disturbing to see the team not concentrated in the last minutes of the game.. So far we can tell that the first team in group A, C and D might have a good chance to play finals comparing to Egypt, Senegal and the others.
