Bitcoin may be changing the financial system. But the political systems are changing as well.

Look at this guys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate_Party_Germany

Last year they have already moved into four state parlament in germany and will probably move into the parlament in the next elections.

Parties like them are forming in all european states. And there is already one in Canada ( http://www.pirateparty.ca/ ). (Damn US with their two party system.).

Systems are chaning. Not only the finacial system, but on many layers in paralel.

Getting this party to accept bitcoin donation would be awesome though. Pirate Party of New Zealand has already stated they will accept bitcoins. And the founder of swedens pirate party has moved his complete savings into bitcoin.

So maybe bitcoin will not be illigal after all.
3764  Economy / Securities / Re: New IPO [GLBSE] [Bakewell] - Finally, a transparent investment that will grow! on: September 04, 2012, 10:05:41 PM
I really like the open nature of your offering. I like the price.

+1 Me too

As said in an earlier post, you are not the first one to do this... so this is how others have done it:

  • Buy equipment as shares are sold. This is not always ideal, as you have to purchase a little at a time over a long time. But it does produce coins that can be paid as dividends. COGNITIVE, BTC-MINING, and NASTY do exactly this... by buying FPGA singles from BFL with the intent on taking advantage of BFL's ASIC exchange program. You said that you would use GPUs to mine. Why not start with that?
  • Take the proceeds from current sale of shares and invest it in something like NYAN.A or Starfish to get dividends that you can then re-pay to your investors. Once all shares are sold, cash out and buy the equipment. The downside to this is that you would have to clearly explain this process in the GLBSE asset and/or make a motion to invest current funds in this way.

I would devenetly invest in thes project if you would go with one of this options. Especially at the price you are offering. Would prefer option 1 though.

You still seem undecided. Let me increase my offer.

If you join Discordianism, I will not only not give you 0.2 BTC.

On my next weekend I will also do what ever I desire to do.
3766  Economy / Securities / Re: New IPO [GLBSE] [Bakewell] - Finally, a transparent investment that will grow! on: September 04, 2012, 07:38:18 PM
I think too, that waiting until all shares have been sold until you start buying equipment is a bad Idea.

In that case I would be waiting until the majority of the shares has been sold and than try to get in, maybe tring to get some shares below IPO-Price, too, as people would surely get frustrated and sell off.

Best plan would be IMO to put asside 2/3 of the BTC ,or so, for the BFL Rig and immediately invest the remaining 1/3 in GPUs to show at least some dividents.

Once the Rig is paied you can invest 100% in further GPU grow.

I'm _VERY_ high in the pyramid and it's clever to choose one of my links =)

Even thats not true, that reveals point to a 12th level account.

Liar!

A small tip for all who consider joining:

When you enter the pyramining page with a reveal you can view into the sponsor account by clicking on Sponsor in the upper right corner.

You now can click into his sponsor, etc.

Preview your sponsor before joining.

If you dig a little around in this forum you even find reveals pointing to top level accounts.

Kind Regards
3768  Economy / Auctions / Re: selling my religious beliefs on: September 04, 2012, 01:43:24 PM
I bid 0.1 btc.

Should this one true bid prevail, your religion shall be the one true religion, Emacs. St. IGNUcius shall be your prophet[1]. You shall get your scriptures from faith.el and religiously read them once a day. Your homepage shall be http://www.dina.kvl.dk/~abraham/religion/

[1] http://stallman.org/saintignucius.jpg

Oh god, EMACS here too? Crap. I really wonder how many avatars are hiding massive neckbeards.

Anyway, for 0.2 btc I give you a choice: The Church of Eris or the The Church of subGenius. In effect your choices are get weird or get weirder.

I give you 0.2 BTC if you don't join url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discordianism]The Church of Eris[/url.

Because we discordians must stick apart.
3769  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: September 03, 2012, 05:38:43 AM
Yes, but there is no contact information anywhere.

Who is pyramining? Where is it located? Etc.

I can understand that this keeps more cautious users, or users which have been victims to scams, away.
3770  Other / Meta / Re: theymos, please BAN all common IP sockpuppet accounts on: September 02, 2012, 08:27:41 PM
Scamming sock puppets = bad
regular sock puppets = who cares?

I agree with this.  As long as scamming isn't involved, if people want to be anon when they give their opinions so they are not linked to their business or dealings they have on the forum or in the community in general, let them.

All voices should be heard no matter how unpopular those opinions may be.

So you're saying admins should be tasked with determining what is a scam and what isn't?

That's a nice idea.  Maybe they should be in charge of all the coins too so they can return them when you get scammed.
So you're saying admins should be tasked with determining who is a sockpuppet and who isn't?

That's a nice idea. Maybe they should be in charge of all the people too so they can imprison them if they are sockpuppets.

Lets open up a "Sockpuppet internment camp" Subforum. You are restrictes there until you proofe you are not a sockpuppet
3771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you store your wallet.dat? on: September 02, 2012, 06:50:55 PM
Second disk, once a week with my auto backup.

Why? I'm just to lazy to do more and it seems save enough.

Yes, we don't have any humor, when it comes to the cliché that we don't have humor! Grrr.

Hallo Smart,

TangibleCryptography, thanks from me too.

You have helped a lot.

Wouldn't that depend on whether you are just swapping a whole wheel, or taking the tire off of it by hand and sticking a new one on?

Does it surprise you that it takes me under 15 minutes to rotate all 4 tires on my cars?

Do you dub such an act the quickie-four-rim-approach?

What the *** is a quickie-four-rim-approach?
3776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You never backuped your wallet.dat? on: September 01, 2012, 10:32:56 AM
So if I backup my wallet everytime I revived BTC to a new andress I'm good?
3777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Max Keiser's website PirateMyFilm.com now accepts ONLY Bitcoins! on: August 30, 2012, 06:30:20 PM
Really Cool, I didn't know of this. Luckily this popped up in the unread post section.

But the setup of the piratemyfilm hompage is a little confusing (at least for me).

For many projects I still don't get what they want to do with my money.
3778  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Black Pearl Investments - 15% Weekly Interest. Enough booty for everybody! on: August 30, 2012, 01:04:54 PM
Can I set my payouts compounding?

If so I will invest 15.000 BTC and you just send me back 21.000.000 BTC in one year from now.

Hallo Smart,

If there is such high confidence that Pirate will repay everyone in full

Is there?

They are still worth nearly 40% of their intended value. So the average user calculates with a probability of 40% that pirate will pay. I would say that is a high confidence.
