Since we seem to be discussing the fairness of all this, can you tell us how shipping them out will happen?

I would like to suggest that to be fair, the entire 300 unit batch should ship out at one time, rather than shipping some out ahead of others based on order number, order size, who emailed in advance, or some other criteria.

it's a 1-man 1-day op to ship them all.

So no problems that side.

No stupid lotteries and so on.
3762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do people need to borrow BTC? on: September 23, 2012, 04:09:08 PM
None.

Simple uh?
3763  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: "Avalon" ASIC, announcement & pre-order start. VERY important notice updated on: September 23, 2012, 03:18:42 PM
How does any of what you've said address the problem of this being an oversubscribed lottery, where the wealthy and fortunate get preferential treatment? How will it stop people who already have 50, ordering another 50?

Can you stop? Bitcoin will not solve your problems. Nor will losing (most probably) money on ASIC.

So? What's your point?

World is bad and everything is against me?

If you are interested in having a website that is SQL injection proof and cannot have source code stolen then you might be interested in the technology that I've developed (all back end code is compiled C++, all queries are via an abstraction layer that ensures SQL injection is impossible and all URLs cannot be tampered with due to checksum protection).

The one weakness at this stage with the technology is that Google can't even search your site (all queries are through the main website URL). Smiley

Don't lose your (worthy) time.

We europeans are used to have to get up at strange hours during these kind of events and we never said a word, it happens to you one time and the last 5 pages of the thread are about the time of the release being to bad for you.

You are not kids... Grow.

ngzhang, i'm interested to know if this second branch of preorders will delay you. Will you have to wait a week (till when we send you the proof of wire transfer) for going live with the preorder another time?

Might i suggest to simply say to keep visiting your website, and to release y preorders randomly every x minutes (where x is rand(0, 600), y is rand(0, 5))?

I think it it would take you five minutes to write such a script Wink

I find it offensive to associate (serious) 11/9 theories with the free energy (huge bullshit by definition).

There are 111 left, not 11.

Also I did 2 orders and deleted one, so there are 112 left Cheesy

Ordering Issues

DNS - Due to some unexpected issues, we understand a lot of people are unable to place orders, to quickly address the issue we have removed 100 units from the pre-order website to relaunch as a second wave of pre-orders in case you are currently unable to load the website. The second-wave date will be announced shortly.

Wire Transfers - We are currently overwhelmed with keeping the site operational, once the order have calm down a bit we will begin the process the wire transfers, once you have received the appropriate information for the wire transfer you have 4 days to complete said wire until the order is canceled.

So even if you did not get a chance to order one in the second wave there is still a possibility somebody will not pay up and complete the order.

Maybe cloudflare + huge aws instance next time ok? Cheesy
3769  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: "Avalon" ASIC, announcement & pre-order start. VERY important notice updated on: September 23, 2012, 07:06:01 AM
change your DNS It willl solve the issue!

Not everyone has direct access to their network hardware. I, for instance, don't.

Everyone has direct access to its host file.

I'm in anyway.

Good luck anyone!

How much do you need to collect to begin the production, in case you can say that?

3772  Economy / Economics / Re: Scaling bitcoin to world economy is unrealistic. on: September 16, 2012, 10:24:10 AM
The world financial economy and the world tangible economy are 2 real different things. There is a reason if the USD economy is orders of magnitude bigger than the others. Just saying.

Anyway, I don't see why it couldn't happen in 100 years.

Apple shares grow 1000 times in 10 years.
3773  Other / Off-topic / Re: You meet a woman... on: September 14, 2012, 04:17:07 PM
Keep it as a close friend. Really close, but I wouldn't want anything more from her.

Anyway, I think that she simple wants to enjoy with you making you know first that it's not gonna last. If its that way, simply enjoy. And don't cry later.
3774  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Italy to ban cash transactions over €50 in 2013 on: September 14, 2012, 09:11:16 AM
The law dosent talk about the willing of the buyer, the buyer is forced to use electronic money.
They are simply lowering the limit, that should be 1000 as of now.

3779  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apple, Now trying to Block and Stop: PROTESTORS on: September 06, 2012, 07:47:01 PM
Anyway what's the sense of patenting a way to fuck us all?
Shouldn't that be an open source system? Cheesy
Since when apple systems are open source???
Aside that their kernel is, i was referring to the "lock the user to take photos in determinate places" patent.
