3761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN NEWS TODAY on: April 14, 2017, 06:26:17 AM
Many countries like China, Japan
and India are now accepting bitcoin
and because of this, it will be a big help
in the progress of bitcoin.

These two countries are what holding the value of bitcoin to not experience a meltdown. Bitcoin dumps are still occurring and it is Indonesia and Japans demand for bitcoin that is holding the price to go up. We can expect another increase the price of bitcoin if finally Russia will legalize and adopt bitcoin in their area. Possibly if that happens we can expect an increase going up to 2k $ this year.
3762  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: April 14, 2017, 06:22:54 AM
why so many people store their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time, whether the benefits will they get?

Come share your thoughts

because by saving bitcoin for a long time is one of the greatest investment because the bitcoin price is pumping every so they can multiply their bitcoin by that saving it for a long time. So that is the benefit a huge earning.
By saving your bitcoin you don’t multiply the amount of bitcoin you have, what you are doing is augmenting the amount of fiat you have if you decide to sell and obviously if you sell and then wait for the price to get lower then you can get more bitcoin that way but that is trading not saving.

You are wrong the fact that you are keeping hold of your bitcoin for an intended purpose later on is what it makes savings. It is savings since you are setting aside some bitcoins but it is also trading since bitcoin is prone to volatility and you have the tendency to sell your bitcoin when it is at a higher value. Bitcoin is unique and here we cannot separate savings and trading.

almost 70k unconfirms in the mempool.

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Today's congestion brought to you by 1-meg Greg and all the Blockstream superfriends.  Go team!

The slow confirmation that you are speaking of and you are connecting to 1 meg Greg as the cause along with its friends in the blockstream. I do not understand it and I havent grasp how did they cause the lag in the blockchain. But anyway possibly it is one expression of their dissatisfaction to the current situation that bitcoin has now and they wanted that their voice be heard.
3764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ELI5 UASF and explain what if ... on: April 14, 2017, 06:16:06 AM
i keep hearing this UASF thing these days so what is it

will it need the 95% of nodes (Users) to signal it? or is it different?

and what if these users don't reach majority who are activating it. what then?

UASF is not talking about nodes nor it will talk about the miners. Rather UASF is a movement from miners to the users like the individual users, merchants, Exchanges, wallet providers and etc. This time around it will be the users who will dictate what kind of soft fork they need and thus this will mean that the miners will be forced but to follow the requirement or request of UASF otherwise their bitcoin will not be acepted and will be deemd worthless.
3765  Other / Off-topic / Re: Smartphones are vital to bitcoin growth on: April 13, 2017, 02:38:12 PM
Yes, there are chanses that mobile payment will still develope because people always wear smartphone everywhere and it's more easy to pay with it. For example we can take foldapp. You need to download that app on your mobile and you can pay for starbucks coffee or etc things instantly which is very useful, especially for bitcoin users.

Smartphones are really vital to bitcoin growth since many people across the globe could not live without carrying their smartphones with them. Using smartphones we can enjoy apps that will allow the user to access bitcoin to send and receive bitcoins from any of the local shops in his/her area. The moment bitcoin will be accepted by almost all countries it is the smartphones that will carry most of the bitcoin transactions.
3766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: April 13, 2017, 02:34:14 PM
I used to store bitcoins for creating my own bitcoin related website, but then suddenly my financial conditions got worse and I used all my bitcoins to repay my debts and now I am starting to collect bitcoins again to fulfill my dream.

Well that is the beauty that Bitcoins gave you.  To be able to repay debts with selling your Bitcoins.  I am sure you sell it at higher price the first time you accumulate it.  Anyway, it is always not late to collect and accumulate Bitcoin once again.  This time try to get another stream of income so you won't have to sell all your Bitcoins to meet your needs, and make the maximum profit out of it.

Yeah bitcoin has helped him in his tough times and it also helping me in my tough times as if I am in need of money then I sell my coins and no doubt its very painful to spend them as it takes great efforts to earn them.

yes, sometimes when we need money, bitcoin emerged as a last resort, of course, bitcoin gives us an advantage,..what would you do if at that time you did not use bitcoin, ??maybe you will be difficult to resolve your problem.  it's proof that Bitcoin help us, so I think bitcoin is a promising investment, when one day we need money we can sell all of the coins, as you say, it is very difficult to find bitcoin and you will find it so difficult to sell, but it is a function of  bitcoin trading, now maybe I'm just hunting bitcoin for fun, but I also prepare investment for me to use in the future.
bitcoin so important because you have to see that bitcoin is very useful and will certainly continue to evolve in the future later on, so I think you should start to save the future

We never know about future of the bitcoin, which makes I still doubt is bitcoin has not used formally as payment. The best way is that we benefit from the price movement of bitcoin, if high prices better soon to sell.

With regards to that I am no longer save bitcoin for future purposes but sell bitcoin in exchange for our local fiat currency so I can save it for future use. The reason that I did not anymore hold my hard earned bitcoins was no longer due to need but also for security. During the last price meltdown a realization came to me that I should enjoy the value of bitcoin now so I will not regret if bitcoin will be useless in the future.
3767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Set to Legalize Bitcoin by 2018, Track Every Transaction on: April 13, 2017, 02:27:20 PM
Only a year ago Russia’s Finance Ministry was threatening jail time to anyone using digital currencies.

In a major U-turn, it’s now edging closer to their acceptance as a legitimate financial instrument to open a new line of attack on money laundering.

The authorities hope to recognize bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in 2018 as they seek to enforce rules against illegal transfers, Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev said in an interview. The central bank is developing a joint position together with the government on digital currencies, according to its press service.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-04-10/russia-caves-in-on-bitcoin-to-open-new-front-on-money-laundering

I'm not sure If I should be happy or sad since they are planning to Legalize bitcoin but in the same time, tracking transactions. I'm not entirely sure on how they plan to do it though and how It could be possible unless they are planning to run their own exchanges. I believe that Russians will need TumbleBit whenever this will happen.

I cannot believe this news. Russia was so strict with bitcoins before and in the end I will see an article telling me that Russia has a changed of heart. Well this is a very good news to the bitcoin community who are expecting a major price increase when the Russia will finally adopt bitcoin usage in their country. Even if they will set up restrictions, regulations on bitcoin it is not a bad news but more importantly is that Russia will accept bitcoin and we can really see bitcoins jumping to 2k$ in value this year.
3768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Wants Jihan Wu's Head on a Platter? on: April 13, 2017, 02:21:48 PM

I know I do. It looks like it is now confirmed that he has been covertly using AsicBoost and not passing on the profits to the miners. If Segwit goes through, it could bankrupt him, and render his mining equipment useless. He has a similar plan for LiteCoin since he controls a high percentage of the mining for LTC.

What do you guys think of Jihan Wu?

Before making any harsh moves it is better to get his statement first and do some investigations confirming that he is really using the asicboost and not giving the shares of the miners. And if we was found guilty then let us not cut his head so that he can die but let us place him in the jail so he can suffer in agony and despair for cheating the miners and the bitcoin community.
3769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver causes another dump on: April 13, 2017, 02:14:56 PM
Roger Ver has once declared to dump his 40 thousand bitcoin on the market. And it that was true then he is the reason why bitcoin has experienced a temporary meltdown. But that dump was not even a threat to the bitcoin community but as an opportunity to buy more cheaper bitcoins. Given that fact Roger Vers dump was caught by the bitcoin supporters and caused a sudden recovery or value to bitcoins.
3770  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Daily Mail the wife will pay trump $3 million on: April 13, 2017, 02:11:12 PM
British newspaper the Daily Mail has agreed to pay damages and costs the US first lady Melania trump for an article about her modeling career, where it was reported that she once worked for an escort service. The article was published during the election campaign of the President of the United States, after the publication refused his material. Melania trump filed a lawsuit against the newspaper in London's High court in February this year and assessed the damage to her article, $ 150 million.
However, according to Reuters, which cites an anonymous source, it is only about $ 3 million.

How foolish is that newspaper company for trying to publish a news that is related to the running candidate for presidency since it entails very high risk the moment the president will win the election. But probably the guts of that company was coming from someone outside the company who is willing to pay more than 3 million dollars just to destroy trump and his wife so they can win the election.
3771  Economy / Economics / Re: One Reason not to be "All Inn" on any Single Investment for Long on: April 13, 2017, 02:05:46 PM
Well experienced traders know this stuff and there is no need to lecture them about this. But your topic is quite useful to the newbies who are very excited and emotional about trading and investing. Diversification is a good principle in trading since it will lessen your risk but also lesser  income. But for some risk takers diversification is not necessary since even before they placed their capital on such item they already are ready to take the risk and willing to earn big.
3772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If YOU were Satoshi, what would you do now? on: April 13, 2017, 01:59:34 PM
Satoshi would be dead the next second he made himself public. Do you really think it's a good idea to not be anonymous when your creation disturbs the status quo? you must remain anonymous. You are also a moving target worth billions, you don't want any fame in satoshi's position.

That is exactly the point why Satoshi Nakamoto stays hidden up to this point of time. First reason maybe is security so that no one will disturb him or threat him because he has tons of bitcoins in his storage. Second probably is that he doesnt need to expose himself but rather he is busy spending his earning in bitcoin everyday and started to establish businesses around the world.
3773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the result is that you already have from income bitcoin? on: April 13, 2017, 01:49:47 PM
If you start from zero there is a long way until you can buy something luxuous like a decent computer, smartphone, things like this... On short term starting from zero you need to be very lucky to achieve that in a legit way. After you start saving money you can grow it by investing and earning small interest over your money on the internet.

I think the best to do is to invest and grow your money instead of buying stuff. If you buy stuff it's nice, but all that money will be gone... Grow your money first, after you have a good income, start buying hobby items like those you listed.

I actually started with zero. I have no bitcoins to begin with and so I started out with faucets and I am earning centavos per month until all of my research had bore fruit and now I am earning from signature campaign from working as a staff on a site and and I am also doing trading. I started with zero but today I am earning 100 to 400$ monthly. So with effort and determination and coupled with luck we can achieve what we really dream.
3774  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IN THE KREMLIN MEETING OF PUTIN AND TILLERSON on: April 13, 2017, 01:43:57 PM
At the moment there are no statements about what was discussed on the 2-hour meeting, Putin and Tillerson. Among the main issues of discussion were mentioned - Syria, Ukraine, North Korea and bilateral issues. Now Tillerson is sent to the reception house of the foreign Ministry at a press conference. What do you think agreed?

I believed that they tackled the recent issue on the Americas launching of 5 tomahawk missiles against one of the bases of Syria. And probably they will also check if the issue about the production of a chemical weapon is really true and is just a bogus. Russia wants to stay away from war if possible and that is why they will consider any tactics to settle the problems without any resorting to conflict.
3775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now. on: April 13, 2017, 01:40:54 PM
I used to buy a coffee from time to time with bitcoin.
But I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now, because the fee is so high, if I keep 0.0001 fee like before, it would take days for the transaction to get confirmed, I've got a transaction which took 11 days to get the 1st confirmation last month.
It's not cost-effective any more to buy (I mean both online and buying face to face) thing via bitcoin. And this is why I quit buy coffee with bitcoin.

Well that is true given the current miner fees today it is likely that we will stick to fiat currency in buying anything such as coffee from local shops and merchants due to a very high fees which will make your purchase more costly. This is one of the problem that the community is facing right now and we hope that when a code is accepted in mining the fees should also go down.
3776  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: April 13, 2017, 01:37:42 PM
Of course. Bitcoin will be much more convenient for corruption, because nobody is regulated and all greedy people will use it.
How are you going to hide your income? If you keep bitcoins on your account, you will not see it, but what prevents you to open an anonymous account in dollars or euros? You get caught only when your expenses will exceed income. What's bitcoin?

When you use bitcoin it is much easier for corrupt people to do some corruption but not on big amounts but rather on average amounts only to avoid the eyes of the Central Banks. When using bitcoins you can just make a false description when sending then nobody will suspect you and it is much easier to carry it than checks or actual money.
3777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is a potential market? on: April 13, 2017, 01:28:36 PM
Russia is going to recognize bitcoin,so is it a potential and big market? How can I know more about Russia's market?
Well, I can tell you as a person, who lives not far from Russia and has a lot of friends there, that Russia is quite far from adopting bitcoins. Just considering that it is a big country with approximately population numbers 147 millions there are people that know about bitcoin and even started using it a couple of years ago. But MOSTLY Russians are not familiar with BTC. I guess it now depends on government. And if the government accepts bitcoins, for sure it will become popular, commonly used and, I think, will influence bitcoin price Smiley

Like Japan, they accept bitcoin and recognize bitcoin as a paymnt method,so now Japan is the biggest market,if Russia was following Japan,I think it's good to the economic and have influence in bitcoin price like you said.

By the way,can you tell me how to get in touch with Russians who are interested in bitcoin?Because I am really interested in bitcoin.Thank you.

We cannot tell what will be the movement of Russia towards bitcoin. Bitcoin is still considered lucky since it was banned before in Russia but later on the banning was released and using bitcoin was not considered a crime anymore. But the problem still remains that Russia is still suspicious and watchful over bitcoins and thus it is hard for Russia to follow the footsteps of Japan today.
3778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No matter how much we love BTC, confirmations take way too long! on: April 11, 2017, 12:55:53 PM
I will always love Bitcoin regardless of transaction times. We will all learn that Bitcoin is not an everyday currency but is prefect for saving.

This the fact that we need to accept, due to its demand and adaptability of the new users ,having lots of transactions . Delays were all present. But surely the transaction will took place,it can be send as soon as it can. We just need to hope for new developments improving the transaction time of bitcoin. Other than its failure in delivering what we want on time, everything else about bitcoin were all working smooth and fine.

There are already solutions being made to that issue but there are just conditions before we can use bitcoins in local shops. First is that the owner of the shop and the client must use one site that host web wallets, for example they will both use blockchain.info wallets then the transfer will be done just in seconds. Another thing we can use the local exchangers app in a certain area so that the transaction will be instant and there is nothing to wait.
3779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If YOU were Satoshi, what would you do now? on: April 11, 2017, 12:41:33 PM
If im Satoshi i would go off the crypto for good enjoy on some island and drink all the way, watch news and reports about it but never ever get involved in this  long time now.

I am in line with your thoughts since if I am Satoshi Nakamoto I will be selling my bitcoin once in a while and will build a house, buy huge hectares of lands, build new business and create another altcoin which is much better than bitcoin. And with the earnings that I have from selling millions of bitcoin I will use it to pump my coins and open up local shops and malls that accepts my new altcoin.
3780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Possible To Use Only Bitcoin In Japan? on: April 11, 2017, 08:26:50 AM

Due to the official adoption of Bitcoin in Japan as a means of payment, the thousands merchants will accept the virtual currency this year. But what the actual facts are?  Whether you can easily pay for goods and services in Japan using Bitcoin?  This helped us to understand BitKan officials. BitKan marketing director Ruby Chen conducted a three-day experiment, which showed how in reality it was possible to use Bitcoin...

Read more here https://bit.news/eng/is-it-possible-to-use-only-bitcoin-in-japan/

Bitcoin is still in the experiment process in Japan and we cannot expect it to go full blast within a week. It will take a long time for everyone to adjust and adapt to the new technology in payment. But it will not take a very long way for Japan since they are very well identified with technology and they are very technical in terms of computer, smartphones and applications. The most important thing is that they have started to move with bitcoin and it is only the beginning.
