3761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people keep playing unlicensed, illegal slot machines? on: September 24, 2020, 03:01:31 PM
For the guy who wins a lot, it could be that he knows something we don't or something that they know how to rig back as well. Imagine playing in an illegal place and you still manage to win money with just that. Either you are a lucky SOB or you are part of it and making it look that it's profitable. These types of events would be the invitation to people who are greedy and want to win on their own as well.

Personally, I think it has always been illegal even if it's legal in the place. Imagine playing out on the street with some playing cards and you would immediately be considered gambling even if you don't have money involved. I guess that's just the society we live in.

Gambling is going to mobile because it's the platform that everyone has, it's probably the reason and make greedy people even more greedy.
3762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: September 24, 2020, 08:47:42 AM
For all the members who posted here that believes it's going to go higher, what do you think of Jed McCaleb? He sold some of his coins continuously from 2014 up to now. It's quite weird to believe in a currency in which the owners or founders of it doesn't hold it altogether. With the Ripple company selling $32.55 million worth of XRP in Q2 of 2020 [1], it's a sign that they probably need the money. It's hard to support a coin that even owners don't hold.

..... What's the exact risk with such automated bot?
The bot breaks down and will not execute trades that it has been instructed to do. crwth didn't mention that maybe because gunbot is reputable.

The bot breaks down how? What do you mean? Do you think it stops by itself? It has been tested continuously, and if there are bugs to report, it's relatively easy, and it will be fixed right away, and you could easily update it. If there are configuration errors, you could always reinstall it. Besides, there's an automatic backup for your configuration on your setup. I didn't think to mention it because I didn't experience it with this setup.

Bots go down all the time. It doesnt even have to be the bots fault. Exchange websockets have gone done before, or even intermittent. How did you keep your bot trading when that happened?
I didn't say that the exchanges websockets and API access don't go down. Of course the bot cannot continue to process orders if the connection to the exchange is down but it still cycles, meaning it could connect again once the connections are up again. No need to do anything on it.

The word that he used is "breaks" down, indicating that the bot is broken. That's why I'm asking "how"

Good luck to you. I keep telling people also that trading bots are not guaranteed profit, all that trading bots are is scripts that execute what the trader tells it to,,, automatically. If the bot can do it well and fast, it is a good bot. Profit does not say what the bot does. So has gunbot executed well on Binance Futures?
There shouldn't be a guarantee in any bot because it makes false promises. It's all about the timing of the trades and making sure that you have the optimal settings. For the execution of trades of Gunbot, it's doing its job.

Have never used any automated tool for trading purpose. I always have considered such automared tool as risky. How do it really work? What's the exact risk with such automated bot?
It seems your ROI is very promisable this time although you couldn't make profit last time. Inresting.
It could be an ideal asset, especially if you trade a lot. I don't know how it could make yourself risky because it depends on what you instruct with it. There are many trading strategies that you could input on it, and depending on the market you are entering, spot market, futures, margins, etc., it varies that risk. It's always based on what you set on it, not the bot itself. So if you get rekt, it's your fault as well.
3766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Derevyanchenko on Sept 26 on: September 24, 2020, 01:46:33 AM
I believe that the motivation of the brothers could overcome their fights with both of each other's strengths. I read an article that they are making both of the power of each other to motivate. Charlo also invested in a gym during the pandemic, so he is focused on himself and bring the best that he has.  I'm all-in for Charlo in this one even though Derevyanchenko has a great background with the World Championships winning bronze within his belt.
3767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some thoughts on cryptocurrency loans on: September 23, 2020, 09:28:41 AM
If you recheck the article, the main focus of it is to show that cryptocurrency rates are better compared to fiat loans. In the section of the article Crypto Loans Lead the Way, you could see a table in which he compared different loans.
  • dYdX
  • Compound
  • DeFi Crypto Loan (Aave)
  • Regular 12-month Deposit

The DeFi apps based on Eth gave the best returns in terms of the $1000 invested in each. It's better to profit from those types of things and get the passive income that we deserve. There are a lot of borrowers that you could profit as well.
3768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UniDapp - scam project! on: September 23, 2020, 05:24:21 AM
I think they are just flowing with the hype that Uniswap has done. With all the news regarding it

Uniswap payday, ETH transactions hit record high, EU backs stablecoins: Hodler’s Digest, Sept. 14–20
Uniswap Users Say Uniting Can Strengthen UNI
Uniswap Price Forecast: UNI ready for a bullish assault, once $5.7 is cleared

Maybe these scammers have victimized some people already linking to those articles and then letting people "invest" in the so-called UniDapp.
3769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $1000 on: September 23, 2020, 02:42:20 AM
Last time you did it, it didn't turn out well for gunbot itself, you are a known reseller so we all know you are doing this to make money obviously but also to sell bots as well when people ask you where they can get it but are you sure this is the way?
Why didn't it turn out well for Gunbot? The strategy itself didn't work with the market, so adjustments have been made and a different method. Sure this is the way of what? Selling? I'm not in the Services section and this is not the thread to sell. It's for discussion, that's it. If someone is interested then good for him, I will help him understand what he can do with Gunbot but that's just a bonus. The purpose of this thread is to share results, it it doesn't turn out good, fine. But if it did, it's better but no one is forcing anyone to do here.

Also we should see the market maker price as well, as far as I know there are different stuff in gunbot, like gunbot regular and arbitrage bot and now this market maker, we all need to know the prices of these. Plus we should know about the gunthy token given out to these people as well, to see the bottom.
This is not a marketplace board and this topic is not for selling. That's why there are no prices. If you are interested, you could PM me. You could check it on the site as well. https://gunbot.ph

Long story short, bot is good because it is doing what you tell it to do but if you are an idiot who doesn't know how trading works, you are going to use bot the wrong way and lose money, if you are smart and know how to trade, you are going to use the bot and make a big profit, it all depends on the user of the bot.
It is good that you know that. It all boils down to the user and the market situation.
3770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When we think that crypto is being used by criminals to move tons of money on: September 22, 2020, 03:04:43 PM
I hope people understand that scams and fraudulent activities are everywhere. Bitcoin conveniently has this facade of "anonymous" feature that is "conveniently" works for criminal activities. I think that's why crypto is almost always being associated with that by the people who don't know anything about it.

Fiat is used in much larger fraudulent schemes, and it is stolen much more often, why don't you write about it?
There are many corrupt people who do whatever it takes to get more money. And you know that Fiat has been used way longer (because of its existence) compared to crypto, right?
3771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bloody market on: September 22, 2020, 03:49:08 AM
~snip
But buy only with your money that you can afford to lose because in this market, we have no assurance if we can get profits or even get back our initial funds. Though it is good time to buy for example btc or eth, because the chance of increasing their value in the next coming months is high. However, for other tokens especially DeFi, we can't really be sure of their future, if there's really future in most of them.
You know, I always say that. "What you can afford to lose" but what happens is I still input money hoping to get a profit. It hurts to lose money, but that's a risk you should take, or else you won't gain anything. We are getting eaten by these whales because it's easy for them. That's the sad part because they can; all we small fries get drowned and just lose all the invested money. For DeFi, it's just another term for these fundings so that the strongest DeFi will survive, the legit ones.

I'm all for the increase in the value in the next coming months but why do you think it would rise?
3772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bloody market on: September 22, 2020, 03:03:13 AM
It could be part of that as thousands of people probably received airdropped and sold at market price causing the dump on different markets. We couldn't really verify if it is because of that but all of the markets again are getting red and it could be worse. One thing we could do is buy more if you have the money for it, it's basically in a discounted rate for that. I hope the market rises soon.
3773  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow Options ? on: September 21, 2020, 09:44:35 AM
That list is too outdated, last update was 2016 and some of them isn't active anymore.

Sorry for that, it's the one on my watchlist that is related to escrows. I actually thankful to see this thread because I now have an updated escrow thread in my watchlist. Lol
3774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Payment reduced due to the increase gas fee on: September 21, 2020, 09:31:50 AM
Though there are project that requested for gas fees to receive reward, could it be is necessary for us to send it and receive our rewards?

It's possible that they are having a hard time for that but developing a project should have considered those fees already when distributing tokens for the bounties, etc. I don't know about that but sending them money just for the fees is quite odd. Maybe they should've just gotten the fee from the rewards that you are going to receive, that would be better

I want to know if there's nothing they can do reduce the gas fee?
The gas is basically the cost on the amount of work. Maybe just pay for a lower fee but it would be validated longer.

3776  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Donation for the development of the cryptoindustry on: September 21, 2020, 05:37:39 AM
From your story, honestly it sounds like you're saying "hey, I want to launch new project, I promise it's for a good cause but I need money, please give me some and I promise I won't scam you".

Typical of a scammers I'd say.
Maybe you could add, "We have done it, the perfect money machine. We need to take your money first without showing you actual results first."

@OP - You won't get entertained for this without actually putting in the numbers and show actual results for your project. Most of the time, if the developer/owner is devoted to the project, they would pour in their money for it and see it bloom. Since you have said you figured out how to make perfect money, then do it.
3777  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken is launching a crypto bank! on: September 21, 2020, 05:32:05 AM
With the current history of us humans, it seems inevitable that there would be no governing authority. I believe they are just both protecting their company and protecting the users/members of the bank to be able to participate in stock offerings with cryptocurrencies. It's not yet the end of this for sure. I think there would be more to follow with regards to Kraken launching.

I guess it's something as long as it supports the cryptocurrency world. It's just up to the users whether or not they would like to put their holdings into Kraken and let them play with it.
3778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $1000 on: September 21, 2020, 02:39:02 AM
I have updated the OP. The market has stalled and it seems that the positions that I have right now is not ideal. But still, there's stop-loss in place when a certain amount of capital is reached. Hopefully, it pumps in the coming days. When Resistance 2 breaks, I believe we will be in bullish form again. Hoping to get out of this position soon.

3779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A few questions about a possible DeFI project. on: September 20, 2020, 03:48:44 PM
Instead of DeFi we could also simply create a fund like Andra Capital to invest in the sector. I like the idea of tapping the wisdom of the crowd in making the investments - particularly if we get a lot of participants from the sector.
I'm not sure if this is the Andra Capital that you are talking about but it seems it's not that active anymore. Their most recent post was 6 months ago. It has nothing to do with you, though, but you could do something like this. Anyways, I'm pretty sure that you could convince the members here that if your project is excellent, there would be funding for you.

P.S. Andra Capital is still a coin though, Silicon Valley Coin. Technically an entity with new names attached to it. Just like what pooya87 said.
3780  Other / Archival / Re: Bakkt - New ATH in bitcoin futures on: September 20, 2020, 10:51:22 AM
It seems that Bakkt is gaining some traction, and investors are putting in the money to increase in value in the future. It's Bakkt as the one accepted by Samsung, right?

Anyways, if you check their twitter account, you would see that they are definitely increasing in activity. Last July they hit 11,706 BTC in volume. So it definitely means activity is increasing for them. Even in Binance, they reached $2.8 Billion in volume in futures contracts. This might be something worth participating on.
