3761  Economy / Economics / Re: All Fiat-Replacement crypto will fail: what is wrong with this line of thinking? on: April 03, 2020, 08:00:37 AM
Well, a truly decentralized systems ultimately become independent of such authority. What matter is that communities that drive such systems are safe, secured, more efficient, reliable, trustworthy, honest, transparent, happy, very healthy, good people, hardworking, not creating problems for others,

⏬Scientists teaching how to build paper plane vs Children teaching how to make paper plane.

✴ Scientists: L = Cl * A * .5 * r * V^2. Cd = D / (A * .5 * r * V^2) Cd = D / (q * A)Cd = D / (q * A). T2t Vala = Paper Plane! Smiley

✳ Children: get a plane paper, fold it this way, refold, bend, fold again....................... = Paper plane! Smiley

Conclusion: Some scientists unnecessarily complicate simple things. This makes people lose interest.
A real talent full of empathy and innocence will try as much as possible to avoid those complications for the sake of those who wish to copy

Who says we can't build a real plane without complex boring maths.
3763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 02, 2020, 04:57:49 PM
Please stop comparing gambling with trading. Gambling with cryptocurrencies and trading are not the same at all. Gambling is all about luck. If you get luck, you win. If you are unlucky you lose everything. There is nothing you have to "think" about since the outcome of your results are always random. Logic does not work/change your outcome when gambling. But trading does depend on logic. You have to think a lot before you make your next move. The outcomes are not random and you have more control over your investment when compared to gambling.

They are basically thesame thing. Crypto traders are betting on something (price) just as other prediction markets. Sport bettors for example are betting on scores and other things.
Some cryptocurrency trading are very risky, eg Binary option, leverage trading, etc. This type of trading kind of qualify as gambling depending on how much you risk.
3764  Other / Off-topic / Re: How really some things help ours imunities? on: April 02, 2020, 04:26:43 PM
Anger, worries and fear most likely affect the immune system negatively. I usually fall ill when I'm either angry or worried despite eating healthy. I develop a mild illness recently (been long I fell sick) because I let my guard down. Now am back to my former positive/good mood and my body seems to be doing great.
I would have included maturbation or too much sex as immune weakener but "research" in that area says otherwise. The "researches" say it is good for the immune system but I have my doubt
3765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralised is a scam on: April 02, 2020, 10:45:08 AM
Sorry for your loss.
I guess you should have decentralize or properly decentralize your private keys instead of centralizing it(storing on one location). You stored the keys on only one location which is your home, right?  Centralization failed you not Decentralization.
"Decentralize my whole life" should include decentralizing money, private keys etc
3766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does good side of gambling overcomes its negative side? on: April 02, 2020, 09:06:33 AM
At the end of the day, everything boils down to moderation. Gambling could be considered good for as long as it does not go beyond moderation. If a gambler is already hooked onto it to the point of spending time and money more than what is moderate, that would already be bad regardless of whatever positive things gambling could give.

Gambling is opposite of the word Moderation, in my opinion. Taking big risk in casinos doesn't sound like moderation.  This is why I prefer to call it Betting rather than Gambling as soon as I realize the difference.   Unprofitable and regular "high" bettor can be called a gambler. And a first time or short  bettor who bet with amount he/she can't afford to lose is gambler too.
3767  Other / Off-topic / Re: Boosting immunity on: April 02, 2020, 06:21:46 AM
Little bit of "quality/safe" alcoholic drink is probably OK.
Drinking lots of hot/warm water with sour fruits work wonders. It does for me!
Fast if you can. You could try 6am—12pm. Break the fast with very healthy meals

Herbs too work great for me

Don't be afraid, only be cautious. Avoid things that cause fear and panic.

Always be happy insideout.

Etc

Just Give your body the right conditions and sufficient "tools" to properly defeat diseases
3768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: March 31, 2020, 07:13:32 PM

In these cases you can definitely turn a profit if you know the game and the teams inside out.

Exactly! , That's the main and simplest trick in making profit out of betting either ESports or Sportsbetting.
I guess analyzing the game in ESports is a lot more complicated (example Dota2) than sports like basketball, football, and etc. Because you need to look at the team chemistry, the hero picks, possible scenario and outcome.
I don't know what else to consider in analyzing a match in Dota2 since I haven't played the game for 5 years now, but what I really think, is its more challenging to place a bet specially if both teams are very good.

Unfortunately, the biggest risk is not an clean esports. There are many cases of casual fixe matches and unfortunately it is difficult to prove it.

And I don't agree with that argument. I don't really have much to analyse. The choice of heroes is not up to us. I don't know that before the game. So what if we have live? It's just one game. And secondly, during LIVE BET, the odds are drastically understated. You can't practically win there.

That I think is difficult to win over if there are fixed matches. And it is real and happening. Even if you know the game by heart, if the match is fixed, you can't do anything about it. But yes, that's difficult to know and prove because only few people know about this. And you have no way of knowing this.

https://www.wired.co.uk/article/esports-betting-match-fixing

https://www.gamopo.com/esports-match-fixing/

This is more like cryptocurrency/stock/forex trading.       If things are manipulated in a bad way  (way that aims to make trading very difficult for skilled or many traders) intentionally, your analytical skills and hard work would be in vain unless you understand how the manipulations work.
Skillful bettors with sufficient information and/or "talents" could do well in betting. One of my fears with having  sufficient information is that it would be abused if it gets into the wrong hands. It could be used for sophisticated match fixing, manipulation etc
3769  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the government understand? on: March 31, 2020, 04:20:05 PM
The poor should be able to go alone to farms for example, or go with few people (in recommended social distancing/spacing way). It's not a good idea to rely on people (who can turn evil) to keep you safe and well fed.
Don't rely too much on internet just incase they start using it for evil. Use the physical space in the recommended safe way.
If a President or Leader finds a truely safe way to keep people working in physical space, people who don't think it's a good idea should prove him wrong or let others work in his recommended safe way.
3770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Memory lane (best match you gambled on) on: March 31, 2020, 02:49:03 PM
For me, in eSports Dota 2 Championship in The International 2019.
That was really incredible, for the whole tournament, I just keep watching and analyzing every team and me just able to calm my hands to not gamble until the championship. And I made it, I was able to gamble in the championship, my whole balance in my one time deposit I gamble on who will be the champion, and I made it, really well-prepared and unforgettable.

Seems you are good at sport betting? In my opinion, it's not really a gamble if you're watching, analyzing, preparing well for a bet, betting with what you can afford to lose and succeeding. It's really not gambling If you benefit sustainably from good bettings.
3771  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has anyone tried this coronavirus app? on: March 31, 2020, 02:17:58 PM
I suspect that app is just gathering information. It asks for the DOB? What's the relation of that information about the detection of the virus? It can ask for the age but why be specific about the DOB? Does it requires you to enter full name?

I guess they collect the Date of Birth to determine how vulnerable  carriers are. Not the right way to gather sensitive information though. So, before giving out your sensitive information, ask yourself "What if" the information is going to the wrong hands... no checks and balances to prevent them from misusing the information.

Better to handle this in a decentralized manner... Some say "Decentralize everything"... I think I agree, and that should include, storage, market, developers, apps, governance, rule making, etc

3772  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet would become the most expensive commodity in the world. on: March 31, 2020, 01:20:03 PM
Well, this is why it's important to spend your online life doing productive things. Such things will help in taking care of whatever bill (appropriate bill) that is given to you.

And this is a great opportunity for people to start build sites that consume less data/energy.

Better we spend more of our online time on good/safe things that are beneficial to others and us. This can be better handled on well decentralized tech.

Gold won't be the main thing I will consider to survive in a world of choas. I will rely more on things that are abundant I can produce quickly myself. Example natural food, mud, etc
3773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: March 29, 2020, 10:36:08 AM
Gambling is not a disease. It's the addiction. You can gamble if you want, and it's not a sickness. If you get addicted to it, and you cannot control yourself anymore, that's not healthy. It's difficult for an addict to change because he likes doing that certain thing. If we just know how to limit ourselves, we don't have to worry about curing ourselves.

If you want to cure yourself to gambling addiction, find another activity that you can do except for gambling. That's the best way to avoid addiction. Make yourself busy, and you can also ask for help from a psychiatrist.

Enjoying a game could lead players to getting attached to the game and that becomes gambling in my opinion, especially if the players do not gain enough positive things from the game. So people should bet more on things they are good at or bet little on things that doesn't require skills to avoid wasting away in their addictions.
3774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can crypto gambling be provably fair to regulators? on: March 29, 2020, 10:13:48 AM
For a long time I was thinking that [fiat] online casinos are required to run licensed software just to ensure the players that they don't cheat, but then I understood that there's another side to it - casinos are traditionally a good spot for money laundering, so the government needs to be sure that the house doesn't create fake winnings for some players. As you know, the provably fair system guarantees that neither the player nor the house cheat, but when both the player and the house are the same entity, they know the result of the bet before it is made and can alter it.

Do you think it's possible to create a system where a third party can verify that the outcome of the bet wasn't known to any of the parties ahead of the time?

I think things like this already exist, probably for mostly the Crypto-based casinos. Regulator could use the tool/system ("provable fair verifier", I guess) for their own verifications, of they are not doing so already. Such tool could be more reliable than the non-crypto based ones( assuming there is such thing like that outside of crypto).

3775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 29, 2020, 08:40:07 AM
Do not be greedy if you already win and then double your bet or vice versa, still we have to do a good strategy in playing dice bets can be changed a little I think it's not a long problem also in returning from defeat it's important you don't lose all the money because it's risky if you are not lucky.
I won't double the bet when I lose because it's a big risk for me but I will change the bet a bit maybe winning a little is not a problem as long as my funds go back to play the dice and get a profit.

Must control your emotions in playing gambling dice.

Simply put, it's all about luck, right? If that is the case, it means it is not really a strategy... rather the users/players are depending on luck (or probability). If the strategy really works for some here, guess they can prove it to us on fool-proof betting platforms. I guess that will settle the "debate" once and for all
3776  Other / Off-topic / You are responsible too on: March 29, 2020, 05:42:21 AM
Those with the ability to help (esp those with enough resources) but ignore good solutions for whatever reasons (most likely foolish reasons) are also responsible for the death of those with the disease.

Those with the ability to help include the rich, poor, average etc.

I would seriously start praying against this people if they continue in their wicked way.
3777  Other / Off-topic / Features that can be weaponized against "decentralized tech" on: March 29, 2020, 05:02:24 AM
Full Permission
Full Trust
Risky Kyc system
No privacy/anonymity
Etc...

No true decentralized tech should have those^. I would advise people not to use or depend too much on "decentralized tech" with such setup.

Note: by full Permission/Trust I mean decentralized platforms that require trust or permission at the beginning or when you have not broken any rule.
3778  Other / Off-topic / Imagine this... on: March 29, 2020, 04:57:14 AM
We live in an autonomous privacy/anonymity centered decentralized community, and everyone is required to get tested for the disease and share the results in a anonymous manner.    Anonymous decentralized profiles of those with the disease light up in yellow to red, depending on the severity of their symptoms, while the profiles of those without the disease light up in "light green" to "bright green", depending on how healthy they are. Anyone can turn off the color when he/she feels uncomfortable... And everyone could be require to turn on his/her color at thesame time for research sake or for other good reasons. With this, the decentralized community/network  lights up in different colors... until they all turn green (meaning everyone is cured and healthy)

Imagine what we can do with this^, and how beautiful and useful it will be for a decentralized community.

I bet most will be willing to get tested and share their data/results under the safety of such community. And lots of experiments and treatments will be tried on them by people with proven treatments/cure and experienced health workers.

Blockchain aimed  to go anonymous so people would have freedom financially

no, anonymity was never the goal. the main goal was to create a "decentralized" system that nobody can control so that they can not put their hands in your pocket and/or dictate how you use your own money. and that is how it gives you financial freedom.

I don't think a system like Bitcoin can be safe for users without good anonymity and privacy.

It's definitely built for anonymity if satoshi and early developers/contributors discussed or wanted anonymity ( I really doubt they didn't want anonymity).
Anonymity is a natural and common sense right. If you remove it from physical or virtual world, most innocent people could be totally enslaved/destroyed and both worlds will be dangerous place to be.
You could combine users unique identities with anonymity in a very cryptic way, so that when an anonymous user commits a dangerous crime he/she can be identified.
No one has the right to de-anonimize law abiding people without their consent.

Anonymity by Wikipedia:

Quote
Anonymity [a] describes situations where the acting person's name is unknown. Some writers have argued that namelessness, though technically correct, does not capture what is more centrally at stake in contexts of anonymity. The important idea here is that a person be non-identifiable, unreachable, or untrackable. [1] Anonymity is seen as a technique, or a way of realizing, a certain other values, such as privacy , or liberty.

The above is a basic human right as long as the anonymous person remains law abiding. The world is doomed if a technology/technologies to track every single person on the planet is available to evil person/people or intelligent things.

Living natural... Sorrounded by good animals, plants/tree, water, people etc .
This ^ combined with a little bit of modern technologies would be great. I would rely more on technologies that do not affect the environment negatively otherwise I would not build them atall especially if there are no solutions to counter their negative effects.
