3761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Bitcoin related business on: April 02, 2014, 03:26:03 PM
I'm interested in people starting a new business what is related to Bitcoin.
Some people may find it not done to promote your company/website(shop) yourself on a forum.
But you can do it in this thread Cheesy

Do you have a friend who is starting a Bitcoin related business/website, or you start one yourself tell us what your starting and selling.

I am interested in what you sell: Watches,Toys,T-shirts,Bitcoin ATM's,Physical Bitcoins(Altcoin) or even Alpaca socks.

Looking forward to see some great creations.

Greets DIPT

check my sig!

This would be funny if it wouldn't be so sad... what's up with you posting again, TF? (or whoever controls this account now...)
3762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is becoming obsolete. on: March 31, 2014, 05:53:07 PM
Sure, Bitcoin might become obsolete one day. But to be honest, I think the alt coin to accomplish this has yet to be created.

The direct Bitcoin / Litecoin forks bring only neglible innovation to the table and are more of an experimental playground right now (as much as I love DOGE).

The so called 2nd gen of alt coins, or IPO coins if you will, I'm still highly skeptical of. They all sound good in theory, and I have a lot of respect for what these devs are trying to accomplish, but there's still a long way to go until one can make any estimates about these protocols feasibilities. I'm afraid most of these projects will suffer from trying to solve too many problems at once. But we'll see. I'm looking forward to see what the future brings.
3763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain scripting contest on: March 28, 2014, 09:59:46 AM
Fun idea, I just threw a few mBTC into the pot for the next round. I hope you keep this up, I must admit I wasn't fully aware of how Blockchain scripting works until now. Looking forward to see the next stage.

Dear AM Fund unit holders on Havelock,

We do understand your concern and we take the trust given to us by the shareholders of ASICMINER very seriously.

After March 1st, Havelock Investments will handle the Importing and Exporting of shares in and out of Havelock instead of TAT. Nothing in terms of fees will change.
Instructions on how to import and export your shares will be available on our AM Fund page on Havelock Investments.

In the event that Havelock can no longer stay in business for whatever reason, shareholders will send us a dedicated Bitcoin address from their email address tied to their account on Havelock.

A list of the shareholders' Bitcoin address and the number of units they hold will be sent directly to friedcat with a request to transfer the shares to direct shares.

Feel free to contact us with any questions and concerns,

Havelock Investments

Would it be an option to hold a public shareholder list like Bitfunder used to? (with a public BTC address tied to each account)

I've never heard of even one legit claim that using a secure password, and 2fa someone was cleaned out like this.

I would say for him to look a little closer to home...if he has no keylogger, remote desktop trojan etc. than start looking at anyone who may have had physical access to his pc....girlfriend, best friend, dog...who knows.

(couldn't resist, i'll show myself out)
3766  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: February 17, 2014, 06:33:12 PM
very much appreciated.
3767  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 14, 2014, 09:32:42 AM
Why would a rogue havelock employee sell his shares instead of just the bitcoins from one of the guys with a buy order?

To make it look like a hack? I don't think they did, just pointing out the possibility. However...

2FA key was written down on paper as "backup".

...i guess we might have a scenario where the attacker got ahold of your 2FA key while you were writing it down / your macbook requested it from havelock, assuming it was on the same machine.
3768  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 14, 2014, 09:15:50 AM
That's pretty scary. Not sure what other attack vectors there might be except for some Havelock employee gone rogue or a security breach at their servers. Maybe your email account is compromised and they used it for some social engineering shenanigans (which would also be hard with you noticing).
3769  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 14, 2014, 08:50:35 AM
Just a warning - I've just had my havelock account hacked and all my AM1 shares stolen, and money withdrawn from account.

I had both 2FA enabled, and login from my own country, Thailand. The thief managed to bypass both of those somehow.

I'm devastated right now - I have asked havelock if they can do anything about it ....

That is why price has gone down at havelock - someone sold my 150 shares and then withdrawn the bitcoins.

All withdrawn to: 18jURpZJjcpdp8Utdf9tePVY4VGK84DmUy

Did you have an activated API key? Been on any shady crypto related sites while being logged in at Havelock? This sounds like a rather serious issue, not sure how likely it is that both your login device and 2FA device were compromised.
3770  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: February 13, 2014, 01:53:28 PM
BTCquick is not accepting US customers? WTF?

Quote
@btcQuick I went to the website today and it says that you are no longer selling to US customers.  What's up with that?

https://twitter.com/sami1222/status/432984944818671616

It called regulation, FinCEN, Money Transmitter Licensing.

So, what are your plans for BTCquick? Are you going to do anything about this? Or are you giving up on the US market mid- to long-term?

3772  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: February 12, 2014, 08:14:16 PM
I spoke to him on Skype earlier. Things are progressing but my guess is it'll be a fair while yet unfortunately. As has been said before, some things are out of his hands and they impact the time period involved. Don't ask me how long or if it will work out because I don't know. As long as I feel there is progress then I'll wait.

He should post a progress bar then. What's the current estimate on progress, 2%?

6%
3773  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: February 10, 2014, 05:41:46 PM
Number of Bitcoin banks that collapsed, leaving depositors bawwing:  Each and every one.  All of them.

How many Bitcoin banks have there been? Or are you reffering to Coinlenders / Inputs.io?
3774  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] ASICs group buy by pidobir on: January 28, 2014, 01:10:18 PM
Do you think this could become problematic for individual mining operations (such as ours), or will the little guy get left alone?
While I do not see any problems for miners.

ok, thanks for the info!

3777  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLenders, Inputs.io, Tradefortress (HACK) on: January 24, 2014, 01:43:14 PM
Forgive and forget. Everyone moved on.

Of course one should move on, but I see no reason to forgive and forget.
3778  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BTCINVEST - Low risk investment fund | Market cap: 2000+ BTC on: January 14, 2014, 09:21:16 AM
I also vote for liquidation. Thank you for your efforts!
3779  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 03, 2014, 01:42:32 PM
Over 0.40 now. I don't get it. Worse dividends ever, no hope of anything better for weeks. Stock jumps up 50%.

Panic buyers. People that have been waiting on the sidelines believe that the bottom has been found and are now buying in fearing that right now is as cheap as it gets.
3780  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [The Wasp] Logo Design Contest !!!! Ends on Dec. 31 on: December 21, 2013, 11:56:22 PM
This was NEARLY what I was going to do! A Wasp headshot on a computer chip, except mind wasn't in a hex shape package
Great minds think alike  Wink

Hehe Grin

Well I'm glad it's recognizable as a computer chip, I wasn't sure whether it would make sense to anyone else.
