3781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SSD external hard disk corrupted contain 70 BTC~! on: February 11, 2021, 12:50:17 PM

ssd showing both on windows and linux 24 kb only
for windows showing unkown disk in disk mangment and sandforce 2000x

So you managed to bring power to your hardware and it is even detected in system?

IIRC, hard drives showing unknown disk means all those partitions in the disk now moved to unallocated space so it is possible to recover all the data in it with recovery softwares for sure. But I never done it personally so wait for others opinion to find what are the further steps need to be taken to get those funds back, hopefully. Smiley
3782  Other / Meta / Re: Some german guys keep sending merits to each other for sig campaigns on: February 11, 2021, 10:07:38 AM
@OP, you also a good poster but lot others along with you, the merit system isn't perfect but it is the best solution we have to avoid the spammers from rankup. And you know not every good posts deserves are getting merits because they were buried under the spam posts of others so just keep yourself posting the good things which can be helpful for the community.

And you shouldn't accuse anyone without enough evidence or else it will get backfire so try to solve the personal issues ASAP in smooth way.

Older merrits are not displayed for me anymore, since it only shows 120 days.

You can use, https://bpip.org/ and https://ninjastic.space/ to find all the merited posts of anyone under their profile.
3783  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recovering BTC from an old Coinbase multisig Vault on: February 11, 2021, 06:39:46 AM
Does anyone know if the old multisig vaults used a 12 or 24 word seed? Also, was wondering what would be the best way to go about checking the seeds, along with various password combinations for a BTC balance?

Any pointers, tips or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
The vault which I used in the past doesn't have any recovery seeds, just emails are enough to approve the withdrawals so I am not sure that it was 12 or 24 words seed but coinbase doesn't have any of those credentials stored so you are responsible for passwords and recovery seeds which were used at the time of creating multi sig vault.

It means you lost the BTC even if you had! Sad

The tool is not working anymore? I can only see the error page and also the same result I got when I clicked the tool link from their official blog.
3784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction invalid on: February 10, 2021, 06:43:02 PM
Fee Bumping, where you can find how to bump your fee on different bitcoin wallets.

Read the guide carefully and follow all the steps, its a bit complicated comparing other wallets but you are left with no other choices now.
3785  Other / Meta / Re: Registering with Tor is hell on: February 10, 2021, 05:05:12 PM
Try to create a new account using clean vpn and then you will not have a problem with logging in.
Logging in using Tor IP node will increase your chance to be banned because most of that IP accounts were previously banned.
if you have small evil points you will pay some Sats to be able to log in. After paying the fees, you need to log out and log in again.
AFAIK evil points from TOR is going to be a lot higher and the BTC we are going to pay also changes accordinly with the value so if OP don't want to pay evil fee then just create new account from a public network then use TOR to login.

Accounts may not be banned based on the IP, it will be only banned when the user reported with valid evidence like blockchain connection with previously banned accounts.
3786  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase Pay, Binance Pay, ... XXXXXpay on: February 10, 2021, 02:19:54 PM
Some news talked about Binance intention to create a Binance Pay (beta)

Quote
Binance Pay is a contactless, borderless and secure cryptocurrency payment technology designed by Binance. Binance Pay (beta) allows you to pay and get paid in crypto from your friends and family worldwide.

Will such services succeed, and cryptocurrencies will be my reserve for these platforms?
Something like Google Pay? But cryptos are already digital and we can transfer between wallets then why we need an app to transfer Bitcoin?

If they have such app then it is going to be custodial and something like internal transfer between coinbase accounts.
3787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Wallet is empty after my windows session is reset on: February 10, 2021, 07:28:50 AM
i will use probably PayPal where the cryptocurrency is directly saved into the account or a hardware secure wallet if it offers  recover warranty in case of damages or password lost or....

Have a great day and stay safe ....

Paypal is not an actual crypto wallet because you can't send or withdraw bitcoins from there, you can just pay or convert them into fiat, which I will never recommend it as wallet.

And hardware wallets warranty doesn't cover your hacks, you are the only person who knows the recovery seed and encryption passwords, so it is your responsibility to keep it safer.
3788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Binance account, I’m in US, can’t get into old account to transfer or withdraw on: February 10, 2021, 05:25:55 AM
You tried to access binance after 2 years?

Binance started to block US customers even after year they announced that they will no longer serve US residents and they also mentioned that yo should transfer any of your assets within 90 days, which means people who crossed that time limit cannot withdraw anything.

Still you can ask for the support team to help recovering the funds and I believe you have less than 1% of chance to get those funds back.

Binance has started blocking U.S. users from accessing its platform, The Block has learned.

An email obtained by The Block directed a user to withdraw their funds within 90 days if they were based in the U.S.

The move comes more than a year after Binance first announced that it would stop serving U.S. residents from September 2019.
3789  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: txfee.org neat bitcoin fees estimator and tx checker on: February 09, 2021, 02:53:34 PM
Is the issue fixed now?
Clear browsing data (including cached images and files).
Yes it is working fine now in my end.

I have added option to change cryptocurrency on top-right corner.  Suggestions are required which cryptocurrency  to be added on the list.

Cool feature but its better to add more cryptos in the popular list, my suggestions will be DOGE (which is one of the hot trending crypto) and LTC (most people will be switching to this in near future due to high fee required on other cryptos).

I don't think we need to delete the post which about the issues we are talking, I will edit the post into resolved.
3790  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cash out fees on: February 09, 2021, 01:08:08 PM
Ok, please bear with me.

This is one of the main reasons I haven't used bitcoin (crypto currencies). It's practically impossible to get a straight answer on what it might cost to cash out.

First of all, if you want to make trades with cheap fee then you should avoid coinbase because it is having high fee structure and especially for fiat to Crypto and vice versa conversion. Better way to avoid fee is to trade via peer to peer platform which is suitable for few hundreds of dollars to purchase.

Mistakes makes the person complete.
3791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let me know please!! on: February 09, 2021, 11:32:17 AM
If we assume this newbie account is the only one you have then you can't make money with that in bitcointalk, or if you already one then start making posts which can grab merits or else you can't be able to join any signature campaigns.

There are lot of freelancing jobs available in the internet which doesn't need investment but it needs real skills than just writing some two liners and get paid for it. The easiest one can be translation job which just need English and your knowledge grammar so you can translate what your client wants and get paid decent money like $30 for few hours of work.
3792  Other / Meta / Re: Why my posts are deleted on: February 09, 2021, 09:48:02 AM
just a forum?  lol I think Bitcointalk is an cave that full of diamonds (knowledge and future pictures) whereas my real life is full of dirty clothes and socks.
We are supposed to gather knowledge to make our real life better so we shouldn't be stuck with the virtual online forum forever, even though it is dirty that is the reality. Its time for you to go to Laundry. Grin
3793  Other / Meta / Re: Why my posts are deleted on: February 09, 2021, 07:05:13 AM
My posts were deleted by the webmaster.
I admit my past mistake and I apologize to all my friends.
But is it worth giving me a negative score for no reason?
I have spent my whole life on this site, please do not take this chance from me again

Posts are getting deleted by moderators!

Accepting your mistake doesn't make it as right thing, if people who gave you the trust score can revise it back but its their own choice and you can't demand anything.

This is just a forum so don't spend your whole life here when there are lot of amazing things you can experience in your real life. Tongue
3794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambling black market thrives in Britain on: February 07, 2021, 04:10:46 PM
People likely to gamble on the unregulated casinos or black market to avoid tax on their rewards because some countries has huge tax rates and almost 40% from the total rewards helps the black market to flourish. In UK gambling is completely regal if I am not wrong so the real reason is the high tax rates, so government need to make some changes in their gambling act 2005 to stop the black money or else it is going to get more bigger.
3795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet hacked - Funds lost on: February 07, 2021, 02:21:41 PM
The wallet comes from 2019, i never transfered any funds from it, so i never typed the password ever! It just contained one adress!

Therefore i never ever exposed my private keys!
OP you are not active for a while but if you ever comes online, I would like to know that you find out what is the reason behind the hack?

First of all I suggest you to check that address got balance or not using any bitcoin explorer, if exists then it is due to sync problem with nodes, if not then you need to find out which caused the password of your encrypted wallet dat file to be exposed.
3796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India makes ownership of Bitcoin criminal offense - How to respond? on: February 07, 2021, 12:35:24 PM
News websites are exaggregating the actual content in my opinion, this is just the old bill and it has been in the pending status and no information about it for this year as well but there were lot of debates going on the internet media that it will be banned and CBDC will be launched for India, blah blah...
3797  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria is now the No.2 bitcoin market on this fast-growing global marketplace on: February 07, 2021, 07:20:33 AM
law enforcement will deactivate their bitcoin wallets.
Bitcoin wallets can't be accessed by anyone, so users have to give the private keys if the government want to seize those funds.

But hey this is not the ban from Nigerian government, just banks don't want their customer to involve in any crypto related activities but still they can simply use a stable coin pair for crypto trading and keep making profits, the only difficulty will be converting those profits into fiat. But due to this ban people will be started to use decentralied peer to peer like Localcryptos.
3798  Economy / Economics / Re: The billionaires who own bitcoins on: February 06, 2021, 06:02:44 PM

3800  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why i get negative trust? Where is my fault? on: February 06, 2021, 02:04:30 PM
Its totally inappropriate trust rating, OP you need to be banned instead of getting tagged. Tongue (*if you committed plagiarism)

But you should ask the person who left the negative rating about what is the source to prove you actually committed plagiarism and since its in the language which I can't understand will not be able to do any help/
