3781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: December 12, 2017, 07:23:59 PM
I see that several people get their trust level downgraded to negative if they criticize BTC.

What's up with that?  Is this supposed to be an echo chamber?

Yes. Theymos declared this statement of guiding principle some months ago.

I have bought some BCC at 1k4$. Do you think BCC will hit to 2k4$?? or it will be backed to 300$ in the future??  Huh

The best way to answer that question is to research Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

I was not denigrating Satoshi's stature or position. I was pointing out how irrelevant was tekmobile's observation that your docs were written by amateurs.

Meanwhile, cost on Bitcoin Cash? Less than two pennies. Plus its being discussed on national financial news. Litecoin? Not so much.

I question whether I should quote the diagram for your little Bcash pump scheme... I fixed the spelling for you above.

Quote. Do not quote. I care not.

Incidentally, you are confused. Bcash has not yet launched.

Quote
You are engaging in Bcash pumping in a bitcoin thread...

orly? What was it that I was replying to? Perhaps Litecoin pumping? Let us set the wayback machine and check:

Food for thought: you are going to see vendors start switching from taking bitcoin to litecoin.

The average fee today for a bitcoin transaction was $21. For litecoin 27 cents. Vendors are getting stuck bitcoin transactions and are no longer willing to deal with it.

Quote
You think that is a relevant topic?

Absolutely.

Quote
Of course, you don't really believe in bcash

Now you are starting in again with your sanctimonious holier-than-thou delusions-of-omniscience statements about what I believe. Fuckin idiot - you have no idea why I do what I do. So just stop.

Quote
because otherwise you would sell all of your bitcoin and invest in bcash

Oh but I have. I hold much more Bitcoin Cash than Bitcoin Segwit. But that is really irrelevant. Do you hold any stocks? Bonds? T-Bills? Dollars? If you are so sure that Bitcoin Segwit is the be-all and end-all, why do you own anything but? Not that I find this a valid line of reasoning; I am just turning your words around on you.

Quote
and participate in the bcash discussions

I regularly participate in Bitcoin Cash discussions. What makes you think that I do not?

Quote
and promote your stupid-ass little sabotage coin

'sabotage coin'? Dipping deep into your bag of epithets, eh? Nothing could be further from the truth. When Bitcoin Segwit falls flat on its face, this 'sabotage coin', as you so glibly put it, will be what saves the crypto community from its self-induced darwination.

Quote
..... but instead, you won't sell your bitcoin

You are nothing but a pissant, you know that?

Quote
and you just want to complain about bitcoin,

No. I want to alert about the weaknesses of Bitcoin Segwit.

Quote
spam the bitcoin network,

I have never spammed the Bitcoin network - whatever the hell that means.

Quote
and then make up shit that your little sabotage coin is better

Along some axes -- i.e., the price and throughput of transaction capability as measured today -- it is objectively better. Your favored Litecoin, while providing lower price and higher throughput transaction capability than Bitcoin Segwit, is orders of magnitude from that of Bitcoin Cash.

Quote
or to try to suggest that it is the real bitcoin

When the accumulated proof of work of Bitcoin Cash exceeds that of Bitcoin Segwit, it will indeed become the real bitcoin. Your favored Litecoin, OTOH, does not trace back to the genesis block, which is but one reason it can never become the real Bitcoin.

Quote
and that is why you refuse to call it by its less ambiguous name.

How could referring to it by its recognized name be more ambiguous that your referring to it by the exact name of another coin altogether? Logic much?

Quote
Maybe it is hope, hope, hope, and maybe you will get lucky?    But I think even the public at large understands that bcash is not going to become the new bitcoin, and that could be part of the reason that some money is flowing into litecoin because no one (except for a few nutjob zealots or some confused folks) wants to put any of their money into sabotage coin, right?

Now you are pumping Litecoin? In a Bitcoin WO thread? Tell me it ain't so!
3784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 12, 2017, 08:38:28 AM
Litecoin isn't a fork. .

Careful. The term 'fork' is an overloaded one in the cryptocurrency space. While Litecoin is not a chain fork from Bitcoin, it is a code fork from Bitcoin.

Just keeping it real. Carry on.

Wood is more scarce than gold and silver is space...

There's a space pill for that now. Tongue

zing!

Food for thought: you are going to see vendors start switching from taking bitcoin to litecoin.

Said no vendor ever.

Nice Alan Greenspan propaganda with old silent films clips from MSNBCBS:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yN8wQ5c7uk

"You cannot tell me that you can create, out of nothing, something which has a medium of exchange value".
Says the world's second largest FRN counterfeiter - what a hypocritical old fossil.

Yeah - he doesn't understand Bitcoin. I don't know if it is the same interview, but he recently stated that he was worried about what the effect of 'the controllers' deciding to print unlimited more BTC would do to the market.

OTOH, he was once a pretty sage observer. Before he was with the FED, he pointed out how gold prevented governments from debasing the currency and thereby stealing the wealth of the populace. I always wondered how he got from there to where he ended up.

Check BitCore(BTX) ! It’s the future!
World record- check what is it about!?

This is the Byteball thread. Go peddle your shitcoin elsewhere.

BTW, if you are still crowing about your supposed 'world record' sized 3MB block, you should just shut the F up. Bitcoin Cash mined a 7.995 MB block within the first few days of its existence.

Now how about them GBYTEs?

edit: jeeze. I guess I was in a bad mood when I posted that. Sorry for the aggression.

Baby steps into user & shop adoption - but very enlightening !

Smiley

And how is this any different to the bitcoin card I have already

Perhaps it does not cost $15 in miner's fees every time you use it.

LN Node operators cannot confiscate funds it's a timelocked contract enforced by the main chain LN is designed to be trustless meaning you do not need to trust the node operators it is not in their interest to try and cheat you and if they do try then you can close the channel with all funds yours and theirs

Your channel counterpart's ability to steal your funds is limited only to your ability to create an on chain transaction before the channel timeout. Even if you do detect their stealing transaction in time, you need to get your claim mined into a block in time. With transaction backlog skyrocketing, how successful do you think that will be?
3793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: December 10, 2017, 08:55:44 PM
This is the future shame BCH can't do it

In the controlled conditions of a lab, any coin can do this.

Get to me when there is a solution working in the wild.

It's been tested on mainnet successfully routing through various hops using all the different implementations of lightning with public beta for everyone to use being released soon

Umm hmm, ummm hmm -
How is that decentralized, permissionless, anonymous path discovery algorithm coming?

Roger Ver bought the bitcoin.com domain because he believes that Bitcoin Cash is going to be rebranded to Bitcoin

Sorry, but that is just plain ridiculous. Ver has owned the bitcoin.com domain name for way longer than Bitcoin Cash had even been conceptualized.

Where do you come up with this drek?
3796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: December 10, 2017, 04:33:25 AM

Central banks around the world are aware that the international monetary system is moving away from the US dollar and that the role of cryptocurrencies will become much greater in the future. However, sudden shocks could bring the global economy into free fall.

Therefore, central banks will have no choice but to accumulate crypto reserves. Goldcoin (GLD) is ideally suited for use as a reserve currency by central banks because it's built on the original Nakamoto protocol and has been fully hardened by our 51% defense system.

Goldcoin (GLD) could potentially become the new reserve currency of the world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_reserve

I guess this is a good time to ask my still unanswered trivia question.  Does anyone here know what SDR is?  lol

the correct answer will win some BCH from me.  I reserve the right to send any amount I wish based upon quality of the answer..

I already answered you back when you asked that question a couple weeks ago. It was within a couple posts of your asking. You never even acknowledged that I posted.  You want me to dig it up for you?
3797  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: December 09, 2017, 07:28:40 AM
Armstrong is going to add Bitcoin to his Socrates project (his supercomputer looking at financial cycles):

Doesn't really understand it yet though. From your article: "Bitcoin should swap everything to shares...".

So these so called "uncorrelated assets" that are supposed to both move in the same direction
idonotthinkthatwordmeanswhatyouthinkitmeans.png

That was a dumb comment.

No, your assertion was ignorant. Pick up a dictionary. Look up the word 'uncorrelated'.

Uncorrelated assets do not move in the same direction. There is no correlation to the direction of the moves of uncorrelated assets. Sure, they can move in the same direction, except for when the move in the opposite direction. Which would be about half the time.
