3781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful with Meme Coins on: August 13, 2021, 05:56:11 PM
Everyone agrees that it is quite risky to invest into meme coins, we all know that they are just there because of the hype and as soon as the hype end they will be gone, however people are still doing it for some reason, just riding the wave for now and make money until they end up losing it all. I do not understand why people are still doing this, there are much better ways to make money, but because they could make money a lot quicker with the meme coin hype world, they are still investing.

Many people I know who invested into doge, did not do it because they believed it was a good coin, they knew that it was a horrible coin. Only reason they actually did it was the fact that they actually ended up making profit and did not get out, saw the hype, and said let’s ride this wave for now and that is why they bought doge and hold as long as they can.
3782  Economy / Economics / Re: "Crypto is no longer in the early adoption stage" on: August 13, 2021, 05:31:33 PM
I sort of respectfully disagree with some parts of this. I do think that we are not in the "early" adoption stage, but we are still in the early stages of crypto as a whole. We are only at under 50k for bitcoin, and that is just bitcoin, we are going to definitely see 500k+ for bitcoin, probably by that time 50k+ for ethereum, and maybe 10k+ for bnb as well. These all depends on rankings and if they stay like this of course, but that is what I believe will happen.

It means that we are more than 10x increase away from the "expected" amount for now, by the time that happens I am sure with inflation and all, we will be expecting even more from crypto too. All in all I believe fiat world is something that goes down all the time, and crypto is something that goes up all the time, which means even at the fully expected prices, it will still keep going up because of it.
3783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 13, 2021, 05:00:35 PM
^I agree that Kawhi staying is a great news for Clippers, however they have proven time and time again that they are not the team everyone expected them to be. Sure they are a good team, and surely they are much better than just a few years ago, they really sucked big time for a while there, from the great "lob city" period to Kawhi+pg period it really didn't look great for them, so this is a lot better.

However, let’s be honest here, they are also not the title contenders that we assumed they would be. Even Suns played on the finals last season which nobody saw coming, so I am not saying that Clippers will not. All I am saying is that they were seen as the heavy heavy heavy favourites, like saw as high as 4.45 for winning the league on their first year. I am not saying they are bad, obviously they are a great team, but at least we can now agree that they are not THAT great.
3784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 12, 2021, 08:42:27 PM
The games Bayern had all friendlies, they didn't have any proper games so far and I do not think that they cared about the friendlies as much as we imagine they would, yes it was definitely a proper opponent, Napoli, Ajax these are all good teams but they didn't care about these games at all because they were friendlies and the only reason they do those games are trying to see strategies and see how the team fits them plus gaining some match shape and that’s it.

I believe when the real league starts, they are going to be so much different. Plus, their new manager Julian was the manager of RB Leipzig las year and managed to make that team nearly fight for a title for a while, Bayern then increased the difference very quickly but they were there for a moment, and definitely overachieved compared to expectations, so I do not think that manager will be a problem.
3785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 12, 2021, 08:19:59 PM
I think the only trouble with Irving and Harden is that, Harden played in a team where he was the leader at all times and he had to carry his team for nearly half of his career, even more, so he is tired of carrying a team and he just wants to ease his way into championship but also do not want to make it too obvious, like he can't just take the minimum and go to Lakers, that would be silly.

However Nets really need him, considering the injury problems all season last year, they really need him, which makes him question why the hell did he bother then, he could have kept carrying Houston anyway. About Irving it is a bit different, dude is a weird dude, like earth is flat type of weird dude, believes in it or not even the discussion is weird, so I really doubt he would be easy to handle on a contract negotiation. Let’s see what happens but I really believe that one of the three may not sign for now, may extend next season, but maybe not now.
3786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme/NFT investment really worth the hype they're getting?. on: August 12, 2021, 07:46:38 PM
I think it is not the "hype" this time around, it is the fact that it is something brand new, which means that people want to play those games, and that is definitely something that we should be focusing on, is this called hype? I am pretty sure that it should not be called hype, because in crypto when something is hyped that usually means it is something regarding the price of it, price goes up and then it goes down, but at the early stages the price skyrockets because of the hype.

This is a bit different, it is not "just" about the price, of course it has something to do with it, who would play games to lose money, that would be gambling, but here we have the "gaming" part where people are also having fun, it is way more than just buying something and waiting for weeks to make a profit from it, you buy it then you play with it until it gets bigger (lol) and that is usually very entertaining.
3787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins Have Good Opportunities in the Next Year on: August 12, 2021, 07:14:53 PM
Certainly ethereum, if we are talking about 2022 as next year then 100% definitely guaranteed ethereum will have a great year. 2.0 is getting closer and closer which means that we are going to definitely see a huge uptick in the price of ethereum, and not just some small thing neither, 2.0 is so important that back in December 2020 the price of ALL cryptos went up when the first 32 batches were started to invest, and it was December 3 or something, after that prices kept going up a bit too.

I am not saying that ALL the bull run was because of ethereum, but it had a part in it for a month there, which is why it is quite important for ethereum 2.0 to happen in 2022 and not keep getting postponed like the London fork, otherwise it just postpones the price increase as well. I personally will invest more into ethereum soon, just waiting on some money, and I am sure it will definitely increase a lot.
3788  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of control and rising: why bitcoin has Nigeria’s government in a panic on: August 12, 2021, 06:50:55 PM
I honestly think that crypto will face a lot of trouble from the dictatorial regimes, they are the ones who are losing the most out of these stuff, think about it decentralization in a dictatorship? Of course, it is going to be a big trouble. That is also why China keeps banning bitcoin as well, they just do not like it when others have the power, they need to control the whole nation 100% without a single doubt, if they don't, then the whole domino crumbles all together.

So, Nigeria who is a mismanaged nation that has so many problems that even the greatest person in the world can't fix in under a decade (could help get it better though), it is normal that people would look elsewhere, there is no more "hope" left for them because like I said even the best person can't do it now, and politicians are rarely the best people, we vote for people who we do not hate compared to their opponents we hate, it is valid in every nation for every party. Going away from that and putting your money into crypto is a smart move.
3789  Economy / Speculation / Re: The power of Bitcoin HODLing on: August 12, 2021, 06:01:35 PM
Honestly selling bitcoin is a lot more likely outcome during the same period. Sure 1000 dollars invested could have been 139k, that is a great income, and 1 dollar invested could have been 800k as well, that is great too. However how many people who invested 100 dollars in 2010, that could have owned 80 million dollars, would have still hold it?

I am pretty sure I would have sold as soon as it hit 1k for example, 10x is more than I could even imagine, I actually kind of did that, I owned bitcoin from 150-300 range, and sold it when it reached 3k, because I am an idiot. Where you end up selling could change based on person but it would be very hard to still hold it today. So, what I think the most likely outcome would be people making somewhere between 10x to 100x at most and nothing more, that is the kind of return that people are happy to get out.
3790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stock Market, Fundstrat’s Tom Lee predicts Bitcoin has a shot at $100K on: August 11, 2021, 09:08:16 PM
Obviously there will be people who will say crazy things about bitcoin, the craziest I have seen recently was 12.5 million dollars in less than 3 years, which is insane to think about. However let's be honest, 100k is not that weird, if we have another big bull run, then 2x is not that weird, we are just a tiny bit under 2x for 100k right now.

You do not have to be fundstrat's Tom Lee to know that 100k is the next shot, we were at 64k last time around and next time around we will fight the 100k barrier for sure. Obviously it is going to be a bit different because 100k will be a barrier that psychologically be difficult for people like how 10k was, we had hard time passing that but when we did then everything became a lot easier, I think 100k will be like that, hard time to pass over that, but afterwards it is going to be quite good and easy.
3791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I start trading? on: August 11, 2021, 08:12:01 PM
Learning and studying. Anyone who wants to trade should learn how to trade before they start trading, and in order to learn it you have to study it. There are a billion youtube videos, books and many other things that you can check out, even classes and courses all around the online world.

There is no one right way to trade, so what you have to do is study it on everywhere and eventually you will figure out how to make money, I personally like it the way when it is very safe, there are people who do a lot riskier ways, you can learn scalping, you can learn quick ones, you can learn leverage, you can learn short term, you can learn futures, basically there are a million ways and methods you can trade and you need to study all of them. One thing to keep in mind is that forex trading is similar so studying that does bring in a bit of help.
3792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: – The need for asset-backed stablecoins in uncertain times on: August 11, 2021, 06:58:28 PM
Anyone who imagines the current stablecoins are the future is simply just kidding themselves. Do you even know why people use crypto? I mean we all "invest" into crypto, if I am not making a profit then why am I even bothering buying stablecoin? What am I suppose to do with it, just spend it? I do not think that people would like that idea at all.

We need something that is bringing us a profit, right now there are algo stable coins but at the end of the day all of them worth something until people stop caring about it, there is a good logic behind it and it all makes sense but as soon as people stop buying and start selling then the price keeps crashing and nobody can recover that, even the tiniest thing becomes huge and it becomes worthless. That is the only profitable one so far and it sucks big time and crashes, if someone some day finds a proper way to both have stablecoin AND make a decent return, that could get some attention.
3793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolyNetwork Hacked, $600 million Lost on: August 11, 2021, 06:21:02 PM
At the end of the day anything that people put their money into could be hacked and it will keep being like that for a long time, just because we trust Binance doesn't mean that someone can't steal billions from them neither, this is just game of "let's see how long it will take before it's gone" at this current stage, as long as there are not enough law enforcement on it, then it will keep being like this.

If the hackers of anything, for example this one, gets jailed for a very long time, and punished incredibly harshly, then maybe we will see some changes but even in the fiat world people scam each other all the time. What I think will happen is that people will forget about this in a month tops, only the people who lost money will remember, and eventually this will end up being nothing at all in the future, which I believe we are on the way already on day two.
3794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum @4k on: August 11, 2021, 05:46:44 PM
It is wild to think that just 3 weeks ago we were at 1.7k dollars per ethereum, it kept dropping and dropping until it reached 1.7k, and now we are talking about potential of 4k, because it is at over 3.2k already and that is really awesome. Of course when you think that the peak of ethereum was less than 3 months ago or so, it is really not that shocking to see that crypto drops huge and then increases huge at the same time.

I am quite happy about this though, it is close to peak, closer than most other things. Let's hope that we could actually see it do something proper this time around. If we can reach over 5k, I will be very happy about it. I do not know if it will reach those levels right away, but I am sure it will definitely have a good chance of getting there if we can prevent it from going down. As long as it is over 3k, that means 5k is getting closer and closer each day when it is over 3k.
3795  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency: The Future of Finance in a New World Order? on: August 11, 2021, 03:32:15 PM
Why do people keep thinking that we are possessing a serious threat to financial world? I mean the existing financial world could very well continue without trouble for centuries if the only opponent is crypto.

Obviously there is a situation where super wealthy people are living life where they do not spend 1/10th of their money for anything, which means that we are talking about a world where rich have minimum 100x times more than what they need, most of them even more, and the humans are starving at the same time in the same world.

This can't continue forever and it will eventually change, nobody says bring in communism but at least lets save the people who are starving to death right? That is not too much to ask? You can't just say "let them starve to death" in any reason at all. Same goes for health, nobody should die because they couldn't pay for hospital, those things just do not make ANY sense at all. However none of these will change just because we have crypto, that is totally irrelevant.
3796  Economy / Economics / Re: Where is the value reflected? on: August 11, 2021, 05:52:41 AM
That 415 billion was a talking point over a month ago and I have said the same thing back then and I will say the same thing now, it is the "maximum" amount that can be reached, doesn't mean it will be reached, not even 10% of that will be reached. That is only if everyone who can invest into this will end up invest into it and not like people were lining up to buy bitcoin in billions before this, so they will not do it after this neither.

All we may get is few billion at best, and that should be something we should be happy about but that's about it, nothing more. I personally really like the current situation, let's not grow huge and get ahead of ourselves, maybe we do not have to have that much investor coming in, because if they do then the price will skyrocket but that is all the money we could make, after that there won't ever be same chance again.
3797  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 10, 2021, 07:41:18 PM
Let people do whatever they want to do, it has been an insane past 1.5 years, with pandemic and an increase in crypto that is surreal, we should not really judge anyone doing anything. Sure it looks like there is an overbuying going on right now and the price is having a bit hard time keep going up, but look at altcoins they are doing fine for example.

I am not really worried about doing anything excessive, I feel like we should be doing quite fine for now and I am not worried about anything in the future just because some people bought a bit more than they should. I understand that we are not really seeing those 60k+ just yet, but the path for that goes through from these prices and standing here as long as we can, who could say that we can't really see those prices or can't say here? Sure we may go down, that is always an option, but we may go up as well.
3798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and BNB on: August 10, 2021, 07:11:22 PM
If we are going to just talk about transactions, ethereum is a decentralized place, which miners helped so far and it will continue to be like that for a while longer, however when it comes down to negatives of this is the fact gas fee reached as much as 40+ dollars at some point, if you let people decide on it, there will be greedy people who want more and there will be rich who will pay more and everyone who is poor will end up getting screwed.

This is the only reason why ethereum got lesser and lesser attention while BNB grew bigger and bigger, those people ended up screwing themselves over by getting gas fee higher and scaring off everyone else. BNB on the other hand is centralized and the gas fee could actually be dropped to zero, all it takes is Binance saying they are willing to cover the costs, which they won't but at least knowing that they have that power, it is good for transactions.
3799  Economy / Economics / Re: When debt is an asset on: August 10, 2021, 06:55:12 PM
This is exactly what me and my friend considered recently. We considered a few crypto operations there, mainly 2 things ; crypto mining and crypto ATM as well in few places, along with a few non-crypto stuff as well, such as Laundromats and vending machines, if you own the land yourself (like a few Laundromats) then you can put in bitcoin ATM machines and vending machines (and maybe even some coin pusher like arcade stuff) in front or inside of your business as well, and one warehouse for the mining operations.

We calculated we wanted 5 places total, 1 warehouse, 4 Laundromats, two in Toronto, one in Montreal and one in Ottawa, the Ottawa one looked like the least profitable business among them all.

We both have cars, and we both own our own houses, so if we sold 2 cars and 2 houses, we could afford to buy half of these right away, and the other half would be 20 year loan, everything ready and confirmed for us as well, bank was willing to give us the loan. Only thing that kept us from doing this was: fear. Debt is not an easy task, if you fail to pay it, you lose what you have on top of what you already sold. It is really not easy stuff. One bad year and you are done, own zero, nothing.
3800  Economy / Economics / Re: Trying to find a news aggregator on: August 10, 2021, 06:14:50 PM
I like these topics because I keep giving the same example : https://cryptopanic.com
You literally do not need anything else, no other newspaper, no aggregator, nothing, you just need this and you will end up learning EVERYTHING going on in the crypto world, it will certainly give you every news without missing anything.

Even the twitter feed is great enough that you will not need the news side of it, but it also has god knows how many news all coming in there. On top of that there is a comment section available so everyone talks about that certain news you see there, and you will see what people think about it. It is a marvelous place, you do not need anywhere else.
