3781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic trading strategy for newbie to make a profit on: November 21, 2021, 07:33:35 PM
The strategy is always mentioned here the basic thing is to buy low and sell high there's nothing more and always be basic trading if you want to make a profit.
But there are people who don't understand or don't know how to apply it and they don't know when to buy or sell.

For that, you will need to learn about FA and TA to know when is the right to buy and sell your crypto.  There is a guide that I know will help you from Basic to Advanced trading and I have already shared it here many times. Here's the link below

All tools are there free and paid. After you learn from TA and FA make sure to test your skills first with a trading simulator to check if your strategy works. You can find all free trading simulator on the same link above.

3782  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon Log : BOOTBY[0x0.11000000] What does it mean? on: November 21, 2021, 05:13:58 PM
So it's a pro version?
Ver[1166Pro-81-21072802_4ec6bb0_211fc46]

This one shows abnormal ECHU[131073 0 0] the first board seems not detecting properly

and this one

Code:
PVT_T0[-273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273 -273]

Shows abnormal negative temps for all chips and POWS[0] power supply seems normal but HASHS[1 0 0] it shows that the first hashboard is bad.

So your first hashboard is failing but I would like to suggest you check the first hashboard first replacing the cable or switching them to another hashboard connected to the same unit.
If the logs show the same logs again then your first hashboard needs to be replaced.
3783  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How do I recover ssh server from bitmain S11 miner? on: November 21, 2021, 04:20:10 PM
If you flashed it with the latest bitmain s11 firmware then your miner is SSH disabled if you read the description of the firmware from Bitmain you should see SSH closed for this unit.

Anyway, about your problem why not share with us the kernel logs and let us analyze them for you if what is the issue of your unit.

If you want to enable the SSH again there is a way to open it again just flash it through an SD card the firmware is already from Bitmain but if you don't know where then use the link below.

3784  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing after replacing fan. Fault light solid on. on: November 20, 2021, 06:52:37 PM
Look at this FAN PWM: 0
There is no fan signal it means the fan you replaced is defective. Do you have another fan to replace?

If you don't have you can try to check the wire

black = ground
red = input voltage
Yellow =  Signal Speed
Blue = Signal PWM

The blue wire must be your FAN PWM check the wire if it has a connection from the fan to the control board. Or maybe you plug it incorrectly?
3785  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1246 Stopped Hashin on: November 20, 2021, 06:37:18 PM
Thanks for the reply, just to confirm, if the fans are working,, it still could be a PSU issue?

Fans are running fine
Code:
Fan1[4815] Fan2[4791] Fan3[4818] Fan4[4799]

It's a common issue if you see - on PVT and look at Vo[1] PS[16 1201 4 2 0 1324 53]  the first item is 16 it means the control board detected power failure or short circuit.
Another thing that I noticed is there is an extra item on that part which is the 53 it should only be 6 items on that part according to log description from Canaan.

I suggest you contact Canaan support and request for the new firmware to test if it's just a firmware issue.
Also, try to replug all cables from the power supply to the control board. Then test it again.
3786  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I got error after rebooting my Mac on: November 19, 2021, 11:59:37 PM
hi. thanks for ur reply. i compared it with ordinary successful open log. error started from that. also error message said to reindex as ur suggestion. will i redownload the whole blockchain if i reindex...??

I think if your wallet is set to pruned mode and you use -reindex it will only download the latest blockchain and delete old blockchain you recently downloaded.

I don't know what would be the outcome after you use the command above but better add prune=(N) at bitcoin.conf file so that it won't download the whole blockchain.
3787  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I got error after rebooting my Mac on: November 19, 2021, 11:33:14 PM
Can you post the whole debug.log here and don't forget to put it inside the "insert code tag" with icon #.

I think the reason why you get this error it's because you have corrupted blockchains.
I'd like to suggest is to try manually reindexing the wallet through the terminal.

Use this command below

Code:
/Applications/Bitcoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Bitcoin-Qt -reindex

Let see if it will work.
3788  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Does anyone have expereince with the Cheetah F3 on: November 18, 2021, 11:28:24 PM
What do you plan why you are looking for these miners?
Do you have this miner and looking for a way to flash it?

This miner is not common and only a few people have this miner. Why not try to go on cheetah-miner.com it seems that is their official website.
Or if you are looking for the firmware to flash this miner they have a firmware here https://www.cheetah-miner.com/Pc/#/download
3789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dealing with a broker and wants his commission before I see the ROI on: November 18, 2021, 11:06:32 PM
The broker you talking about is a company? Or just a person?

How did you know that he is SEC and FINRA active?

I never had any experience dealing with a Broker but it seems suspicious to me if he asks for a 15% commission before they send your ROI because he can just able to deduct the commission in your ROI.
3790  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ hashboard error 64 of 65 chips error on: November 18, 2021, 04:58:37 PM
I replaced al the 5 chips of the last voltage domain already but nothing helps.

How many times did you replace those chips?

Would you mind to tell us the exact model of the chip or the chip type? Maybe the ASIC chip you are trying to put on the s17+ hashboard has a compatibility issue?
3791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't buy your greed on: November 18, 2021, 04:42:49 PM
I remember someone that blame me before he was invested a big amount in BTC and built a miner when the price reach the highest ATH last 2017 I think.

But the price keeps crashing after the new ATH, I thought that the price would increase more at that time but I'm wrong. That is why they blame me because they never earn a profit even just reach the return of investment and end up selling the miner and BTC at low prices.

So right now I never tell anyone or sometimes I tell but I always tell them to invest only that you can afford to lose.
3792  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 1047 not working after shipping on: November 17, 2021, 11:57:50 PM
"Power switch on. Nothing. No fans, no lights, nothing. "

Latest message from him.  Anyone know where to get a power supply?

If you know the exact model of the PSU you can try to search it on ZeusBTC use the link below and type the PSU model or just PSU.

I tried to search on Amazon and aliexpress I saw only a few of them but no trust ratings yet. So I think this would be hard if you are looking for a PSU for this unit.
Try to ask him for a PSU unit model and try to search on Google if you can find a site that sells it post it here and we will check if you can trust that site or not. Beware there are lots of phishing sites or scam sites that sell any mining-related products.
3793  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Are they really stealing people's BTC? on: November 17, 2021, 11:36:49 PM
There are lots of news before about blockchain but we don't know how these people protect their own wallet on blockchain.
I have an account there and open it with my backup from blockchain.info to .com but my Bitcoin is there.

So, what I think is those people who lose Bitcoin on that wallet are being phished or it could be some hacker stole their Bitcoin because Bitcoins, before is not yet known by any Antivirus or maybe those who lost bitcoin have infected PC that it could possibly the reason why their Bitcoins are stolen.

Right now, I never use them again because that wallet is online and there is no guaranteed safe there are many things that could happen if your wallet is always online and hackers can do anything they want to brute force your blockchain wallet.

If you don't have Bitcoins before on Blockchain why bother? You can just switch to other wallets like ledger or trezor or Electrum.
But if you have Bitcoins before and now it's gone then why not try to report them to SEC if you have evidence that you can report?
3794  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ hashboard error 64 of 65 chips error on: November 17, 2021, 11:02:15 PM
What tools currently you are using to detect those faulty chips?

Have you tried to flash it first to known working hex file? If not try it first.

There is a guide on zeusBTC that might be able to help you check this link below.

3795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trading channel no targets no waiting instant results on: November 17, 2021, 10:46:06 PM
Actually, I never trust anyone giving only a telegram group link and most of the scammers use that app.
So there is no guaranteed that your signal will work because most of any telegram groups are giving you false signals they just make a signal for their own benefits.

Sample like you tell them to make take a position today at this unknown coin might be shitcoin or anything coins that you can easily to manipulate.
You will tell them to buy at $1 as a sample but you already bought a large amount of that unknown coin after you give a signal those who follow you will buy that may help that coin to increase in value. After that, you have the opportunity to sell yours to make a profit before you tell or give a signal to your followers.

That's an easy manipulation, right?
And most of what I see they also use telegram to gather many people as you like for spamming or use them to sell the telegram group after you reach enough members in your group. This is very common which is why there are lots of people being scammed by following any untrusted group and people on telegram. Those scammers can able to run and no one care actually if you have been scammed because no one could track them.
3796  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 1047 not working after shipping on: November 17, 2021, 05:08:20 PM
The only thing that I notice are abnormal signals no hashboard and no fan on the logs on that image in your first post.

And Yeah it could be a PSU issue but would you try to tell him to reset the miner to factory default.

I got a guide from their documentation about this miner below

Quote from: canaan.io
When powering up (before the indicator light flashes ), press and hold the FUNC
key for five to ten seconds. The system will automatically clear the saved
configuration, including: network, mine pool, password and other information. After
the configuration is cleared, the indicator blinks white frequently, indicating that the
configuration is successful. After releasing the FUNC button, press the RESET button
to restart, or disconnect the power supply to re-power, the system will work with the
default factory configuration.

Then tell him to test it again.

If it does not solve the issue try to tell him to flash it again with the latest firmware and reconnect all fans hope this one will work.
3797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: November 17, 2021, 04:44:47 PM
But I have a question Binance p2p does have Neteller in their payment modes?

They have but the problem is you can't sell neteller funds instead you will receive the payment through Neteller if you sold crypto on Binance p2p.
Look at the image below as my screenshot found it there on p2p payment settings.

That's the only option that I saw on their app but if you change your local FIAT to USD you have the option to find the Neteller sellers but the problem is the current rate is pretty high it's around $67k.

What I think is if he doesn't want to exchange the Neteller funds at that rate his best option is to buy USDT instead of bitcoin.
Look:

The best thing is it's zero fee.
3798  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: "bringup chains failed" error in kernel log on: November 17, 2021, 04:13:03 PM
thanks man , i disconnected board No 4 , it is working but after 5 minutes only board 2 is working ,do you think somthing wrong in  control board i!! , it is new and has worked only 1 week,

I suggest try them all and test them one by one.

Post the kernel logs here and let us analyze them again for you.

We don't know actually what cause this issue but if you have an extra miner with the same model unit it would be easy to troubleshoot the issue.

What I think is the PSU is failing or not giving enough power to run all hashboard properly but it could be also the control board.
Can you check the miner physically if there is some button like IPreport button or reset button? I just want you to try to reset the control board by holding those buttons for 15 seconds and check the miner if it reset the miner to the factory settings and then tests it again.

Have you also tried to contact poolin and maybe it's just a firmware issue and poolin might send you a firmware that could fix this issue?
3799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tax app errors I found in Cryptotrader.tax on: November 16, 2021, 11:54:10 PM
Why not use other tools or switch to other trackers instead for calculating your taxes?

I heard someone before with false tax calculations on that app. So maybe switching to other tools like cointracker might be able to help you.

Also, I suggest you check this thread "[Tutorial] Crypto taxes for beginners" for another options and guides to calculate your taxes.
3800  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: "bringup chains failed" error in kernel log on: November 16, 2021, 11:42:44 PM
Never heard about this miner before it seems that this miner has 4 hashboard and according to the logs there is a problem in the 4th hashbord that keeps showing that error.

Can you try to disconnect the 4th hashbord and try to run the miner without it?
Or try the remove the first hashboard. Let see if it will mine properly without that error.

If not, check the kernel logs again if there are changes on the logs.
