3781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Doge-backed Token on: June 01, 2021, 11:01:39 PM
Lol, a meme backed coin? Just shows the state of the current market here, there are a lot of 'scammers' trying to ride the hype of Doge and will create a fork, a copy cat and now "genuine doge-backed token".

Be careful guys, this is another trap for newbies, I will advice to stay away from this kind of projects, once the hype is gone, your money will be lost as well.
3782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taproot lock-in FOMO is coming(?) on: June 01, 2021, 10:35:23 PM
i have a good feeling that the timing is also perfect because the accumulation after this panic sell is going to be over by that time and the FOMO can start.
2 weeks from now we could be sitting at $70k.

Because of taproot lock-in only? No way!
We're already above the 90% levels and everyone who gives a damn about the technicalities knows it will happen, the masses don't even know what taproot is, for them Kim K. wearing a BTC necklace will be more bullish.
I agree here, not everyone in this community knows about Taproot, so I doubt that there will be FOMO in the next coming weeks. Majority of the members seldom visited Development & Technical Discussion boards.

FOMO usually comes from big news and unlike altcoins, wherein a simply tweet from devs or at least a supposedly new version or iteration is coming, will really push the price of that coin to the next level, I doubt that it will have the same impact in bitcoin about Taproot or any similar releases in the future.
3783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 01, 2021, 12:10:27 PM
^^ Tough luck, I have Philly winning and -7.5 and I thought that they cover it.

Anyhow, we don't know how serious the extend of the injury is, bad you can see that it was really a bad fall on Joel part. And Wizards take advantage of it in the paint. Lopez with his sky hook and then they just drive inside the paint. So the series is extended, but it will go back to Philly's home court.

They did managed to take that advantage and make sure that they'll going to win this one at home,

Playing inside and attacking the basket is how Wizard snatched this win and avoid the sweep, though the next game will be at Philly
and knowing how big this team playing at home, might possible to end this one at home in front of their home crowd. Ben Simon didn't
produce that much to cover Embiid unlike from their previous games where he take care when Embiid is not around.
With or without Embiid they may win this game. I was also with Philly at -6.5 and worst I put it in a parlay with the Jazz -5.5. Win 1, Lost 1 = Lost all.  Grin
It's actually a good match without Embiid, almost like equal in offensive attacks. It's just that Wizards got them better with the crowd on their side.
Daniel Gafford is the one that caught my eye. He is getting better at the defensive end with 5 big blocks for the game.
He's future will be bright if he keeps it up. Center with speed and good footwork like him is hard to find.
Yes, they are always equal, but I don't think they can covered the spread, best they can to do is force a OT but they have missing free throws and then the dagger three by Hachimura. Harris try to be the go to guy, but he missed a close shot while Simmons free throws.

And then one thing that go for Wizards is of course the home court advantage. They are familiar with the court so they are on a high percentage shooting night even at three. And then Gafford manning the paint with 5 blocks if I'm not mistaken.
3784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 01, 2021, 10:56:54 AM
Just catching up with the Osaka news too. Pretty disheartening to read about, though to be honest, I always thought media were a lot nicer to tennis people than other sports.
Probably it's just that this kind of news is getting out, I remember other sport personalities having the same mental problem, Kevin Love for basketball and then Ryan Garcia in boxing, which he has to cancel his upcoming fight because of the issues.

Perhaps we will hear this in the future though, at least Osaka come up clean with her reasoning and hope that she can recover and be back in the tour in the next slams.
3785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Congressman Warren Davidson on the subject of green energy and Tesla on: May 31, 2021, 11:45:14 PM
As far as bitcoin's energy consumption, this image says it all:

And again, it's obvious that Elon Musk has agenda behind attacking bitcoin mining. And it's about time that we really educate ourselves with this FUD all over crypto and mainstream media. They can twist everything, but at the end of the day, still up to us to digest what has been said. There's no better weapon against this negativity but knowledge.
3786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The CURRENT attack on BSC Defi projects on: May 31, 2021, 11:12:47 PM
it looks like the incessant attacks on Defi projects has moved into BSC projects. it started with pancake when their DNS server was attacked. then venus attacked followed which was unsuccessful. pancakebunny, Juld, bearn and Earnfi has been recently attacked. the flux in defi projects keeps exposing the weakness of these project. it is getting obvious that some of the developers are copy-cats.
Well that's the nature of some projects, some of them are open source so it's possible that other devs are copying and forking it.

My suspects is that. these guys might move into Matic when they are done with BSC projects. centralized exchanges was hit first. then decentralized platforms on ethereum suffered huge loss of funds. Now it is BSC. WHO knows their next move.
Possible, projects move from ETH to BSC and with the recent spate of attacks might be moving to a mainnet that is more secure and feel that they developed without the threat of attacks. But then again, these cyber criminals are one step ahead of the game, so who knows. Maybe later they will find some loopholes and exploit it again and again.
3787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 31, 2021, 08:00:05 PM
So I believe they learn from that and they'll do better this time, I also hope that Brooks will stay out of foul trouble.

Therefore my pick is Memphis ML and +5. GL!
It's a big trouble when that happens. His role in Grizzlies is the toughest of all defending superstars like Mitchell or Bogdanovic.
Valanciunas also should take care about fouling Gobert a lot of times. They don't have a back-up big man as good as him while Jazz still have Favors if Gobert is in foul trouble.
I'll just take the safe road for now.
Jazz -5.5 and 76ers -6.5 in a parlay.

yeah right, Favors gives a big breathing for Gobert and the Jazz he can help it out with the role that he's needed for, no longer a star caliber player but he's there when Jazz needs to rest Gobert.

Memphis needs to find the advantages of Brooks and Morant they'll need to keep them going and play smartly, they need to work the aggressiveness in the right way.

Look how Mitchell and Conley take their advantages, they'll simply attacks and answer every Memphis runs.

Not bad for your parlay @ 3.10 Good luck!
The problem with Brooks is that he is a tough defender so not only do he need to score more, but he also has to cover a lot of perimeter and that's what makes him tired in the 4th quarter. Just like what happened in the last game, they come back strong and take 1 point lead, but after that they hare exhausted

While Mitchell and Conley can have a breather and still be fresh in the last 5 minutes to push the Jazz. Morant needs to come up big, he needs to score 40 points or more if they wanted to win against Utah.
3788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 31, 2021, 07:07:29 PM
Though, Nets still the favorite here as they've got much deeper squad, with the power trio which now we've seen what they are capable with, The firepower of KD, Kyrie and Harden plus all the role players to comes up playing what they've got, it's a good series to watch out for sure.

I disagree though, Nets doesn't have a deeper squad, they only got the big 3 and after that there's no one to score, they only have Joe Harris (3 point specialist) and then and old Blake.

And as we can see on the Bucks last win, Giannis doesn't need to score heavily and can be a play maker, game 1 was Middleton's hitting the winner, and then Jrue Holiday and Lopez to help them out. Forbes and Portis also come out big in their series against the Heat. While Nets heavily rely on their big 3. When Boston stole a game against them, Irving was the missing piece scoring less than 20 points. So if one of the big 3 has an off-night, most likely they are not going to win.
3789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Donaire vs Oubaali - May 29 on: May 31, 2021, 06:41:34 PM
^^ Ok, so Donaire indeed won this fight and show greatness again by coming in with a huge knockout of Oubaali and as I have said, it will create a ripple in this division as there are great champions and opportunities for him. Inoue will be one and then Casimero. But I would rather see Nonito to fight Inoue for a rematch, and not fight another Filipino in the table. Congrats who ride on Nonito for a knock out or even a win.
3790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 29, 2021, 10:51:52 AM
Tatum carrying the Celtics on his shoulder, and then Marcus Smart playing good defense on Kyrie and then scoring 23 points himself. Boston now that the momentum. Harden (41) and Durant (39) also putting big numbers, but aside form the big 3, no one from Nets scored double digits.
TD Garden fans were heard. Somehow we are now feeling the crowd impact.
Chants and boo are for Kyrie and he scored only 2 points in the first half if I remember correctly.
But that doesn't stop Harden and Durant that made the game longer and more heart trembling.

Do you guys think Tatum can keep this up? What if an off night comes? Who will be there to step up and score for the team?
Kemba had been inconsistent like this is his first rodeo in the playoffs. Smart is not really a scorer.
Their last ace will be Fournier and they must look for a way to build him in a short span of time.
I bet Coach Nash and Asst. Coach Mike D'Antoni is already preparing their defensive strategy for Tatum.
I think the booing really affected Kyrie's game here, he seems to be very aggressive, even fouling Smart shooting 3, and then he has good looks but missing shots.

Obviously, Tatum continue to score even with Durant guarding him, Thompson and Smart also contributed that's why they were able to offset Harden and Durant. So time for Nash to go back to the drawing board and will have to look on how to nuetralized Tatu next game. Forget about Kemba, he is not performing well even before the playoffs, looks like he is on a slump.
3791  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD-slingers saying 20K this weekend... on: May 29, 2021, 10:23:24 AM
So another massive sell off going to happen this weekend? memorial day massacre? Nah, I'm not buying it. On the contrary, investors are resting on weekends so I don't expect any movement at all. If there is, then it won't go as far as hitting $20k.

Another bullshit take from mainstream media again, what do you expect, just started to be annoyed by them and spewing FUD whenever they can. This is 2017 all over again, when the state of crypto media is at worst. Just pushing their narrative with baseless news and then some.
3792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about Litecoin? on: May 28, 2021, 08:52:39 PM
It's because there's no one to shill Litecoin, that's why the price is tanking.

So it's a so-so performance, no update on the devs, while other altcoins are busy updating and releasing new version. So obviously, investors are not sold on Litecoin right now, they would rather put their money on something that will make it grow, like ADA, Doge and others. So it just followed the altcoin bull run and can't maintain it price.
3793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 28, 2021, 09:18:39 AM
^^ I checked my favorite sportbookies and it's still qualifiers though.

We would like to see Nadal vs Djokovic in the semis, and Rafa even admitted that no one is unbeatable in this tournament not even himself. Yes, he is still the favorite, but we do hope so see another name to challenge them. So this is going to be an interesting French Open as a lot of good clay players are all here, including Tsitsipas, Thiem, Rublev and others.
3794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 28, 2021, 08:29:40 AM
Boy how wrong I was with my Suns pick yesterday. I still hope CP3 will be healed for game 5 in Phoenix so they can have a chance to turn it around.
Don't get me wrong, but that shoulder injury might be serious that we thought. Maybe the team are just doing everything they can so that CP3 can play, but he ain't 100% for sure.

Nice win for Denver on the road getting back the home court advantage. They seem to have found to way to deal without Murray.
Even after Murray was injured, they went on a winning percentage, so it just shows that Jokic can carry the team in his shoulder. 35/11/5 MVP numbers in playoffs.

Bucks just can't be matched by the Heat. Game 4 will have the same outcome. Same with Nets - Boston
Could be over for the Heat, if Boston doesn't salvage a win in game 3, might be the same, 4-0 in first round for Bucks and Nets.
3795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 28, 2021, 05:51:56 AM
Yes, Lakers put on a show on the third quarter and blow away the game wide open.

AD and James are in the rhythm right now, Lebron just doing his thing, getting players involved in the first half and then takes over. So again it's their big 3, AD and Dennis, while Kuzma still struggles even at their own homecourt, but at least score 8 points. Drummond as well contributed with his big 11 boards to equal Ayton's rebounds.
3796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Game over to Bitcoin Time to sell all on: May 27, 2021, 12:37:31 PM
Wait, the market isn't yet to dump badly. It is too early, the price still hanging at $47k-$48k, I'm waiting for the price to reach $40k before I could say that we are done with the bullish season and a perfect time to fill our bag again. I'm sure a lot of people will be happy if that be going to happen, sounds like they are preparing their money for this moment. Could be crazy but I hope people could still sleep amid this declining scheme. We don't need to be excited as it soon to come.
Although it still go down to ~30k, the price seems to be recovering slowly at $40k now and that is the big resistance. So its not game over for bitcoin, and even if there's a lot of FUD around the price is somewhat on the $38k range. So I would say that there are still investors that are willing to take chances and buy at this dip and still positive that we can even break 6 digits at the end the year.

Correction though is bound to happen, at least we got it at $64k and not when the price is going to $100k because for sure many are going to be shock and there could be a loss in confidence in the market. Kudos to those who have the strong hands to hold on it when the price crashes above 50% already, while sorry for those weak hands, who immediately panic and sold-off their bitcoin to institutions at a cheap price.
3797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize whether this is a good project from ANN on: May 27, 2021, 11:48:18 AM
1. The founding team is non-anonymous
All projects can be like this and still exit scam in the end. So it's really hard to see how the project will turn out to be, even non-anonymous or at least devs exposing themselves is not a sure fire criteria. There are a lot of projects in the past that run off with investors money even if they have been identified. They just simply slip out of the radar, and hide. and they know that investors can't go after them.
3798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 27, 2021, 11:05:23 AM
Charles Barkley on the Westbrook Popcorn incident:
Quote
"What NBA rule I would change? I think we should be able to go up in the stands and beat the hell of one person per game."
He's one of the bad boys, no questions. Grin Whoever did it was just disrespectful. WB already hurt himself and who the hell is in the proper mind to throw popcorn on someone who is feeling devastated already. Ban him from all the basketball court of NBA. Now that he deserves and not WB being thrown with popcorns.

Fans just came back and they can enjoy themselves but not that much to the extent of cursing and throwing something to the players.

Right, I also said that this is disrespectful to Westbrook. As fans there should be boundaries as well, who will forgot the "Malice in the Palace", this could turn out to be the next one, if not for those security that try to keep WB at bay and not give him the chance to chase that fans who did this to him.

Of course, we owe it to the fans, but I don't think they have every right to throw popcorn not just to Russ but to any basketball player.
3799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Donaire vs Oubaali - May 29 on: May 27, 2021, 10:14:09 AM
^^ Indeed, Donaire's left hook was the best in this division during his prime and even if he lost to Inoue, we can still see that money left hook that he possesses even if critics are discounting him against the Inoue that time.

Might bet early on Donaire because of that huge odds, unless he really grows old overnight, he can still go make an upset and create another ripple in this division. Inoue and Casimero could be in the horizon for him if he win and take the championship belt from Nordine  Oubaali.
That’s the strength of Donaire that makes him more worth it as an opponent, unfortunately we didn’t see some of his anticipated matches. Anyway, this match could be a big deal for Donaire as he is trying to gain back some titles and this could be the way for him to match good boxers soon, Oubaali has a clean record but I don’t see so much strength on this guy compare to Donaire, this will be an epic match though I hope its not too late to place some bet.
Correct, this is a comeback fight for him, and time is not on his side, so definitely this is a big deal and even though he is the underdog, we as fans knows that he still got it. Nordine is a tough opponent no doubt about it, he has the belt and he deserves to be a champion. But Donaire has also been in a lot of battles that this match could be a candidate of fight of the year if Nordine fights mano a mano. Not too late to put a bet, Donaire @3.x is very juicy odds.
3800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 27, 2021, 09:43:33 AM

MSG's crowd throwing boos and chants "F*CK Trae Young" when the game is already decided. Trashtalks are commons and no doubt, we are entertained by it. And the best part of this is, "fans are now back!" but I think it's too much if they throw that line to a young Trae who is just giving his all.
I have nothing wrong with the chants of the crowd in MSG but what is disgusting is there is a person there who just spitted Trae Young. Luckily it didn't hit him but it hit the person below the one who spitted.
Aside from that, who saw what did the 76er fan did to Westbrook?? He is going to their locker room because of the injury he got when there is a fan that threw popcorn to him. I have nothing to say but a complete disrespect. These are just 2 of the many more things that might happen in the future and I hope that the NBA management will take actions into this.

Now the Knicks tied the series 1-1 against the Hawks. The Hawks got a double digit lead going to the halftime but the Knicks fight back in the 2nd half. 5 players in double digits and I just want to commend how DRose is playing right now. Vintage DRose Cheesy.
Wizards and 76ers. It was all 76ers from the start to the finish. Its just sad to see Westbrook getting an injury.
Utah and Grizzlies. Utah managed to tied the series 1-1. Its good to see Mitchell playing again because he is frustrated that he didn't play on Game 1. Looks like Morant has the guts to end Gobert's career in his dunk attempt but he forgot that Gobert is a DPOY candidate Cheesy. Huge block coming from Gobert.
It's a battle of spurts, But in the end, Knicks prevail, and it was because of DRose, you can see his experience in this game, and then Knicks hitting their 3's in the fourth quarter was the key. Although Randle has a bad first half that allow the Hawks to take the lead, he bounce back in the 2nd and started to hit his shots.

Here is the video of the fan throwing popcorn at Westbrook, this is disrespectful in my opinion.
