3781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 12, 2022, 11:02:53 PM
At least to the OP, the price of bitcoin has recovered and pushes back to more than $22k. So maybe he doesn't need to panic for the meantime as he is about to break even at this point.

And as what others have suggested, just HODL on your precious BTC. and if you have a chance just buy when the price goes down. You shouldn't stressed yourself because you see your portfolio going down, you should be here fro the long haul instead.
3782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 12, 2022, 10:42:44 PM
So far here is the undercard in this fight:

Robeisy Ramirez (10-1, 6 KO) vs  Jessie Magdaleno (29-1, 18 KO)

And Richard Torrez Jr who is also scheduled to fight, but his opponents is still TBA. Magdaleno used to be a great fighter in is prime, he defeated Nonito Donaire, but for unknown reasons, he stay out of the limelight and even turn down a fight against Emmanuel Navarette.
3783  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: September 12, 2022, 10:27:28 PM

$25k parin ang barrier na dapat ma break sana natin at least for this year.
3784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA's EuroBasket is rigged with a proof on: September 12, 2022, 10:03:21 PM
It's just pure coincidence for me, and I don't think that everyone or at least players of both teams are going to collude with each other to have the same score in the end. Because sooner or later, if FIBA found out, for sure sanctions are going to be imposed on those who get involved. As what we have a saying locally "the ball is round", meaning everything can happen that is totally unexpected.
3785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard of trifecta betting? on: September 12, 2022, 09:46:00 PM
Yes, I'm familiar with the word "trifecta", because I'm a avid fan of horse racing back in the days.

It's more of a challenge for horse bettor as you have to get the winner is successive order, like "win, place or show", meaning, 1st,2nd and third.

There are even what we call "double" bet. When you have to get the winner of a two races, i.e. winner of race 1 and race 2. And to add some fun on it, "double + 1", winner of races 1, 2 and 3.

And then Pentafecta, super 6, and then Winner Take All, So it makes horse racing a exciting game to bet, specially if you get a underdog in those what we call exotic bets.

Much better to get into Lakers than to stay in Blazers without having that much impact from the teammates. That matters, the chemistry.

And I think that wherever Westbrook lands, that team has been longing to have been. Blazers might not want to release their star player but if they've been offered with a good deal, they might take it and won't decline it.

Maybe if Westbrook goes into that team, we may see him back play at what he used to be.

Maybe he will get the normal stats pre Lakers, but he will not be able to carry that team. He will be dominating the ball again because there are no other stars, and he will be the first choice. So, his stats will go up like before, but he will not be able to carry that team to any significant finish because he will have no help. If dame cannot carry the Blazers to the finals, I do not think Westbrook will. His carrying days are over. Most likely, he will just be padding his stats to fish the next contract. That is, if Blazers will take WB, that I doubt will happen. They will stick to Dame most probably.
That's what he need, a team that can help him also to win the game and not only him to carry the whole team.

We can say that there are players that can bring up a team but that's not going to be enough these days when you're against the whole team with bunch of good players and really can contribute a lot per game.

We may see WB go back onto his shape but you're right, that he might have hard time carrying it.

I think there's a good chance he ends up in Utah.  They have a pretty weak team now and are in full rebuild mode.  The Lakers will package 1st round picks with Russell Westbrook to get rid of his contract.  The Jazz could use a ball hog scorer like Russ who can carry a team to a few wins by himself while they rebuilt.  I feel like this is going to happen because it's the only trade that makes sense for both sides.  With training camp starting soon, I suspect we'll have some movement on this front.

Utah still has Clarkson, and others as trade bait for Russell if they want to get him. So most likely they the Lakers will just get 1 draft pick. So most likely WB will still be a Lakers this season, although the Lakers is willing to trade him, if they are not going to be satisfied of what they are getting, specially future draft picks, they would rather play with him and so how it goes.
3787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 12, 2022, 12:23:53 PM
I've seen predictions of the following that Canelo will knock out GGG.

1. Amir Khan
2. Juan Manual Marquez

Their reason is that Canelo is just about in his prime years and GGG is old and 40 years old. And the body punch will be the key for Canelo if he wanted to soften GGG. And then GGG doesn't look good against Murata although he won that fight.

Not sure if we should listen to this former boxers, but they have their own opinion but we already knew those points already.

We should listen to their opinions with a grain of salt hehe. For me, they are right because Canelo is a body puncher that could hurt anybody in his weight division, how much more if it is against a boxer who is 40 years old which in this sport is considered past his prime.

I have read that article also where Amir Khan and Juan Manuel Marquez predict a knockout win by Canelo but have not read where anyone predicting a win by GGG.

The only consolation for this fight is if GGG survives the full 12 rounds and does not get knocked out, that's where I also put my money come September 17, a Canelo win by decision.

And we have another former boxer who has the same opinion as the majority of them - Carl Framption:

Quote
"I would like to see Golovkin win, but I feel this is going to be the most decisive victory for Canelo given where they now find themselves in their careers."

https://www.boxingscene.com/frampton-id-like-golovkin-win-this-decisive-canelo-victory--168999

And as the fight gets closer, we might see former fighters opinion on this fight. But I wouldn't be surprised if they are going for Canelo to win.

Maybe the camp of GGG have seen this reports and will have something to do when the bell rings.

It's unfortunate that this bout is canceled due to the death of his Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth

Quote
Due to the unfortunate passing of Queen Elizabeth, the British boxing board has decided to postpone the fight. The new date looks to be Saturday 15th October 2022.

both parties and the organizer understand the situation, especially the UK as they have to mourn the passing of their Queen, so many are excited and thrilled to see this fight because this is the first time that two women with claims to be the greatest woman boxer of all time are here to fight for it, there are so much thrash talks and disrespect on both camps that I imagine fireworks in the opening bell.

Yes, I have posted it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5370631.msg60905929#msg60905929

Initially they wanted or at least tried for the weigh-in to continue, unfortunately, the BBBoC cancelled every boxing tournament including this fight which have been anticipated because of the bad mouthing and trash talking between this two rivals.
3789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 12, 2022, 11:31:52 AM

Yes, it will be a great match and could be 50/50 fight. I'm seeing a Danny Garcia type fight for Thurman, which he edged when they fought by a Split decision, but it was very close that there are fans who think that Garcia won that fight.

However, that was during Thurman's time, haven't been injured and still undefeated. He did make a comeback against  a ballooned 140 lbs in Barrios and fought at 147 lbs. So Ugas might posed a different challenge if ever this two square in the ring and it could go to distance.

I could say Keith Thurman Enjoyed that fight, and that is the 1st fight that Danny Garcia has lost, but I think if these two would fight again, I think Thurman can chase those times that he is not fighting anymore, a few laps and a few rounds on the punching bag training is the only way for Keith Thurman and he will surely be back on shape in no time, for the Danny Garcia fight Thurman is in control of the fight and was dominating the shots but yeah his shots was not impactful for Garcia, and for him to win against Ugas he needs to keep on moving,

There was talk, but Danny Garcia has move to154 lbs already, and his father says that he can't make 147 lbs. But they have been calling for a rematch because he didn't think his son lost to Thurman. But then again, it seems that Keith is on a hiatus, yes there is the pandemic, but everyone is trying to get back at boxing and Keith seems to be taking a leave of absence again in boxing. So if he is potentially going back, it might be next year and it could be against Ugas and because that is a good fight in my opinion.
3790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 12, 2022, 09:51:44 AM
^^ Yes, that's one of his biggest mistakes, he didn't let his hands go specially in the early rounds. And it's too late, maybe round 7 when he started to chase Devin, but Haney is already in the zone and comfortable, using his length so that George can't go inside. So if Kambosos will start hot like in the Lopez fight and swarm Haney, then he might have a chance to win. Otherwise, another easy fight for Haney, cruising automatic for a 12 round decision again and a place for a Loma fight next year.

3792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 11, 2022, 11:58:37 PM
Westbrook was healthy last season and yet he doesn't play like a real big 3. If Davis will have a great season, I hope Westbrook will not ruined his moment as his inconsistency is really a big problem to the team, especially during crucial times.
The upcoming season will probably be Westbrook's last chance to prove to everyone that he can still dominate the court and perform impressively like an all-star player. So if Westbrook is able to analyze his poor performance from the previous season and draw appropriate conclusions, he could be useful for the Lakers. Although I honestly don't have much faith in that.
I do not think that Westbrook has anything to show for anymore, he lost his super fast moves and he can't drive anymore and his "act like driving but stop and shoot midrange" act is not getting anything important and he is missing them too. Which means that he is going to just get worse and worse and he would be lucky to find a minimum salary next season. His future is just like Carmelo Anthony's future, dude was one of the best scorers of his era and then he wasn't even wanted, same will happen to Westbrook.

But he can still drive to the basket though, but there were times that he will missed a dunk or easy shots inside and that's why he prepared those middle shot bank. Just remember that when he was in Washington, he was still super athletic and even lead them to the playoffs. Something that just really happen to Westbrook when he plays with the Lakers. Carmelo though is not as athletic as Russ though during his prime, he is just pure scoring machine.
3793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 11, 2022, 11:38:20 PM
And this is what GGG's training have to say in this fight:

Quote
“I would like Triple G to be able to display more than one skill,” said Banks to NY Daily News. “He knows he has the punching power. I want the people to see his movement, his offense, his quickness.

https://www.boxingscene.com/banks-wants-golovkin-show-all-his-skills-not-just-power-against-canelo--168990

So are we going to see a different version of GGG in this trilogy fight against Canelo? His trainer wanted more from him, more movement and make the fight in the center of the ring. Against Murata, he shows some movement early on, but he didn't continue it maybe because he can take Murata's power that's why he go and brawl with him. So let's see if GGG can sustain his movement for full 12 rounds without gassing out.
3794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3400 % ++ ROI in a month , trading competition in Indonesia on: September 11, 2022, 11:22:38 PM
Yes, I do agree, the numbers seems to be absurd so I will take everything with a grain of salt here. There are a lot of manipulators around just saying, whales that can move the price if they want to specially in a competition like this. Sort of winning and then have the badge and the bragging rights. But you don't know that they totally make it and be sure that they are going to win through deceit and rigging the results on their favor.
3795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 11, 2022, 11:07:15 PM
A fight against Thurman would be great, and I think Thurman will win and that would make him one of the top contenders to fight the champion. Imagine, if the fight of Spence vs Crawford will not happen, then we can still see Thurman fighting one of them if the promoter will agree.
I'd say it's 50/50

Thurman lose against Pacquiao, but Ugas won. Ugas lose against Porter, but Thurman won.

I think the lose from Spence before will giving Ugas a good lesson because this is the first time he got KO'ed and would make him to improve his chin. However if the fight will happen, it's not surprised if Thurman will be favorite because he have better record.

Yes, it will be a great match and could be 50/50 fight. I'm seeing a Danny Garcia type fight for Thurman, which he edged when they fought by a Split decision, but it was very close that there are fans who think that Garcia won that fight.

3796  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: September 11, 2022, 10:52:25 PM

3797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 11, 2022, 10:37:24 PM
They said that Haney is a boring fight, well, I would say he would not be able to play safe against a technical Loma, because if he has speed, Loma has quickness as well and not only that, he is also very precise in throwing his punches. I'm sure everyone here can't wait to see this fight so we will know the winner, and if it's Loma, there's a chance that they will fight early next year if Haney will beat Kambosos again.

Haney if fitted against another counter-puncher then expect that to be a boring fight but not with a very technical Lomachenco as what you have said. That would be an exciting fight and I have Loma to emerge as the victor because he has the power in both hands. Just look at what he did to Rigo when they meet, the latter has nowhere to hide and as a result, retires on his stool in that fight.

Loma vs Haney is the fight everyone is waiting for but Loma needs to take care first of Ortiz and Haney to defeat Kambosos as well.

Loma steps up if he fight a defensive boxer, like you said in the Rigo fight. He is highly technical that not even Rigo's defensive skills can stop his offensive. He knows now to counter angels that a defensive fighter looks for because of his footwork.

So his goal is to really be un-disputed and the only way is to get the belt from either Haney or Kambosos. But it's likely that Haney will defend his belt against the rematch.
3798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 11, 2022, 01:02:49 PM
-snip
If you think that GGG will win this fight then you have a chance to quadruple your money as the ML odds for this fight had it @4.6 for GGG while @1.16 for Canelo. The bookies think opposite the as they are putting Canelo as the heavy favorite due to age and performance I think. GGG's win against Murata wasn't impressive at least for me while Canelo was putting a typical Canelo show only that Bivol is the better, bigger, and smart fighter that night so he lost but against GGG, no doubt he will win (just my thought).
Attractive odds indeed for GGG, specially for those who wanted a live underdog. And based on the results of the votes, boxing fans wanted GGG to win. I personally haven't bet yet, and I might look for the round range, or maybe going to the distance, we will see.

As for next path that each one will take, for sure, their careers, will continue. But definitely they wanted to end their trilogy and move on.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be the last time that these two fighters will face off against each other.
So, this is the moment when the matter will be finally decided once and for all.

As for triple G, I think that he should actually retire since he is quite old at this point. In addition, I also think that he is still a good fighter, although I do not think that will be the case for the next 3 years or longer. So he should leave the game when he is on top.

In comparison to him, Canelo is quite a young man. His age is 32, and I think that he has at least three more years to go in his career before he retires. In all honesty, this has been a great rivalry, and I would like to see it come to a good end. So whatever the odds I will choose GGG in this fight.

We can only speculate if GGG is going to retire after this fight or not. As I have said, they can go and continue with their career if they wanted to. And even if GGG is 40 years old and even if he losses, if he still feel that he can pull the trigger and beat the best of 160 lbs division then maybe he will go on. But Canelo, still in the prime of his career and maybe chasing another belt in 175 lbs after this fight and be a 5 division Mexican champion.

Hi everyone hope you guys are doing great i just want to ask a quick question in last days Elon musk tweeted about the meme token doge and after that the meme tokens are trending so i found one good project named Hippoinu.io the first web 3.0 aggregator where user can earn rewards in all meme tokens and i think investing in this project is legit and they have a presale on pinksale on 26th june 14:00 UTC i am thinking to take part in the presale but i am scared of losing money so i need suggestions from you guys should i invest in it or not . I also share you website and website link
website: https://hippoinu.io/
whitepaper: https://hippoinu.io/whitepaper-en.pdf
Can't give many references about this token, but what I know is that taking part in tokens that don't have power is riskier.
even though in coinmarketcap there are still many coins that you can use, it looks like you have to look at the opportunities before starting to invest. If risk is your concern in carrying out investments.

By the time the OP open this thread, it seems that it reaches a new all time high.

But guess what, it is now down -94% so I guess we already get the answer to our question. It is simply a pump and dump coin and nothing more. And hopefully those who invested already, either gain profits or at least got their initial investment back. Because after that, the price has really plummeted to the ground and I doubt that it can recover anytime soon.
3800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: September 11, 2022, 09:17:15 AM
Once again we've risen back to a local high, we are just under the 50 day average.   I think we are due to pause here for reinforcements before continuing even if positive.   The dollar index has dropped some but I would not us to only move upwards without halting just yet as we were so negative just days ago.

Yeah. Honestly was expecting it to tempt bears at sub 18k... Especially after losing so much ground over a bung of nothing speech. And then we get this reprieve from dollar weakness. Still feels like we need a lot of hand holding at this stage and continued dollar negatives. Too fragile for a strong move up.

Yeah, but we are still afloat despite that speech and so far we have a beautiful bounce back. So sub $18k will have to wait again, or at least those who are itching to buy with that range.

Definitely, there are a lot of strong hands that are still holding at this point. No need to panic, or sell and then rebuy later. They are smart, just buying when there is a slip up in prices like what we've seen recently.
