3781  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIFA and UEFA has suspended Russian Football teams. on: March 12, 2022, 03:49:00 PM
the continuation of the last 16 of the Europa League has just finished the first leg, but an interesting event occurred in the RB leipzig match which was supposed to be against Spartak Moscow but the match could not take place because Russia and Spartak Moscow were fined by UEFA so they could not participate in the Europe League event, then it is certain that RB leipzig advances automatically to the next round of course this raises pros and cons considering UEFA took the decision to disqualify Spartak Moscow and Russia in various football events under the auspices of UEFA and FIFA

I think passing over to the next stage by the German club, Leipzig is the natural thing to happen because the Russia has been banned for invasion of Ukraine and so all her clubs will also get affected. It is a form of walk over for the club against the opponents until all the Russian clubs will go out from the competitions they are involved in. This is unfortunate and it is affecting club owners also like Abrahimovic.
3782  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 12, 2022, 12:36:11 PM
This is more like drake being an ambassador for stake. Drake is becoming the face of rap celebrity that loves the gambling part of life. It is a nice combination as the two hobbies are not far different from each other. Now more customers are going to flow into stake because of drake. Stake is trusted and now with drake it is going to get more trust hype.
3783  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: March 12, 2022, 10:25:38 AM

And China will not bomb the residential and industrial areas of Taiwan like the terrorist troops of the Russians.

I think the war is now taking another way and that should be a major concern now. If Russia is going to start bumping of children hospital instead of focusing on the military and government infrastructures, this is bad. The Ukraine president is raising alarm on this for ICC to see evidences of war crimes. Putin and his Army chiefs seem to be in denier but the pictures are there for the atrocities committed in this fight.
3784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't lock your tokens away on: March 12, 2022, 08:51:15 AM
I know we have determined newbies among us this days that have developed a strong holding (HODL) habit in themselves, I have an advice for you as a crypto holder and I hope you listen.

Do not hold your tokens for too long without looking back, I have lost some this way because later they move to main chain running on separate blockchain, imagine if you decide to check the progress of that project only in 2024 and you see that you've missed out on swapping your old tokens to the new coin..
This is why we need to be active on the channels of the tokens we bought since over the years there are constant changes and token swap is mostly happen when the dev decide to update their project. So if you are inactive and miss this on the deadline set by devs then like what you encounter other will also suffer from this since your hodl money will get 0 value for holding to much and missing the updates.

Also don't hodl new tokens dump them and buy agaim we can either repeat this process or totally dump it then move to another better project which can give us huge profit again.

OP is correct and not far from the point. You can't just be active on bounty you participated for two years and above yet tokens not released to you and within the time it was released, they change address or run mainnet or run separate blockchain, asking for KYC and at the end you miss out. I think it is better to sell when you receive because hodling it longer, the team may decide anything funny about the token and if you are not aware, you just hodl a bunch of useless units of token in your wallet. I now see why some hodlers will dump tokens as soon as it was received, only few projects have continued from whitepaper.
3785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Will NFT be the reason for a massive boost in gambling in the near future? on: March 12, 2022, 08:17:55 AM
The point is if NFT will take over fiat and other means of financial exchange in the future and if the answer is no , it means even in gambling sector it won't be possible. I don't see that happening in gambling. Cryptocurrency is just a new discovovery for gambling and casinos are just adding it to payment system, I don't think that with NFT.
3786  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank’s failure on: March 11, 2022, 10:13:51 PM
It's easy to see that Fiat isn't going away any time soon, only those who are into crypto will understand that the world is craving for decentralization but millions of people still find FIAT as a easier way of spending than crypto this is why I believe that crypto still have a long way to go if truly it's going to be a better easier means of making payments in future, all we have to do is keep supporting this technology and hope for the best, since the government will always be in our world centralisation will keep ruling.

Yeah there could be a long way to go for cryptocurrency because of access to control and the government won't sleep over giving up control of currency whether fiat or crypto as that generate power for them. However cryptocurrency is finding ways into the fibres of financial importance and recognition to the world stage, take example with Ukraine that is requesting for donation through cryptocurrency to execute the war with Russia.
3787  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hits USA on: March 11, 2022, 06:59:25 PM
The inflation in US is not a surprise because what is happening in Ukraine has to touch more countries and I believe some countries have higher inflation now than before the war. US has a more data count and collection enough to know what is happening in her economy. If the economy in US is under inflation then more countries in EU should have higher inflation rate now compared to US because there is now unplanned population in EU in countries like Poland, Belarus, Germany etc.
3788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 11, 2022, 10:29:56 AM

Casinos have done their part issuing warning to those who signed up and play, they have strong warnings against those who exceed time and pour a lot of money into their casinos, they even had features to protect their players but unfortunately, players will always find a way to ignore and get past those features, in the end, if they suffer from losses they will blame the casinos when everything is pointing to their own action.

Everybody wants to get a means to put their blames on the next person. Casinos don't really force people to come play with them but people want to make money or double what they have and they fall for it. They don't need to blame anyone if they don't have control of themselves to play and bet with what they can lose. There are warning in every casino or gambling platform about the risk to it and if the gambler is play beyond control then it is the fault of such player.
3789  Economy / Economics / Re: Natural Gas, Electricity, Oil / Gas & Inflation- Nightmare Scenario on: March 11, 2022, 09:36:54 AM
Biden calls the increase in gas prices Putin's increase. This is really terrible, from the sanctions that countries impose on Russia, one can soon conclude that everyone will suffer. And Europe with America, not only Russia. The world is going crazy. But according to Biden, America will increase oil production several times more this year than oil was produced earlier.
Therefore, everyone should be patient, and wait a bit.

This is surely to affect all continent because it looks like a chain of activities. EU is already going to be affected and that was why they very much reconsidered the sanctions against Russia as Russia when pushed further will cut gas supply to Germany to the rest of Europe and that will have effect to others. However, US is not the only country that has promised to increase production. Saudi Arabia has also done that and OPEC has decided that her member countries would increase production to help the world.
3790  Economy / Economics / Re: Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 10, 2022, 09:44:25 PM
But with those returns comes risk. So don't expect investing being risk free. The more risk you take, the higher the chance of becoming rich.

There is a saying that take the risk and be rich. Some people are very scared to invest and take the risk, they want to ask series of questions about risk first before taking the step. It is nice to ask about risk in business but some people won't just asking and being scared. People get scared with cryptocurrency investment alot. They feel it is a scam but more people have made it big with crypto especially during 2017 bull. Investment is certainly one way to get rich if you are not born with a silver spoon in your mouth.
3791  Economy / Economics / Re: Anonymous hacker's group fight against Russia on: March 10, 2022, 05:43:32 PM

Must Russia (Putin) remain adamant in proving to the world its ability and last resort?

Yes, the war is inevitable especially now. You cannot simply stop a war that you just started, especially if countless lives have been already lost and the economy have taken a lot of damage. You must finish what you started, you already have shown the world your capability why stop now?

Why not that war won't be stopped in the middle of the fighting? It can be stopped if an agreement is reached just with the discussion going on to stop the Russian attacking Ukraine. In the fight between the two countries, it need to be stopped because the strength of Russia is more than Ukraine and children are being killed which is the must painful aspect of this fight.
3792  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weakens at US$ 42,145.35 The Impact of Russia's Conflict with Ukraine on: March 10, 2022, 02:54:05 PM
Of course there is always a cycle of profit taking, a pullback is quite normal which is how I see BTC acting rather then particularly negative overall.

It is expected to happen during the time of war yes and more volatility is going to continue because this war isn't looking to stop soon, meaning there is going to be more panic created as the sanctions are announced and regulation news of bitcoin is still heard from different angles, the latest being UAE. But IMO whatever speculation is suppose to favour bitcoin because people are considering it as safe heaven.
3793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 10, 2022, 02:13:32 PM

Whom to blame for this sad incident ?
of course the parents not the game IMO, or should i say not the company behind of that gambling because its the parents consideration to take care their son no matter how busy they are.

It is going to the parents no matter how you look at it. Surely modernization and urbanization has put pressure on the family making parents to stay outside the home for many days and hours compared to how many hours spent at home because they have to work longer hours to provide for the kids. And with the level of sophisticated technology available, it exposes children to many dangerous vices. Gambling is suppose to be restricted for underaged and parents suppose to watch over there children.
3794  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 10, 2022, 12:56:31 PM
On another side amidst all the bidders for the Chelsea club, I don't know how they can successfully do payment for whoever will get the bid because I held Abramovich has been restricted to do business with UK and maybe this sanction of more than 20 Russian high profile personalities extends to EU and US. So do we think payment is going to be made?

Or is bitcoin going to be a preferred choice ?
3795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects? on: March 09, 2022, 04:25:13 PM
It's a play to earn game, website isn't the most attractive but it depends on what the team have to offer anyways, if I were you I'd invest only what I can afford to lose and take profit instantly when price goes up, I don't have the confidence of holding new tokens this days I'm better off holding ETH BNB or BTC.

I equally buy your idea here because new project is not even a guarantee of a better project. There coins as you mentioned that have done well and still growing. So it is better to hodl such coins because they are not going to run with your investment. They have community that are supportive for it growth. Binance has made contract of shares with Forbs magazine, you can see it has a lot of prospect going forward.
3796  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 09, 2022, 03:34:57 PM
Wow is going to be fun to see Donald Trump as the new owner of Chelsea. Trump is a big name likewise the club Chelsea and Trump has the managerial skill to lead more quality players to the club. In comparison, Abramovich is more like a quiet type while Trump isn't, so I think for the few years he will be in control, the club is definitely going to hype but I don't know how the club will be sustained after few years though  Grin

3797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder ? on: March 08, 2022, 01:55:44 PM

This made me go further in the article to find more about Gambling disorder, according to the current education, it's categorized under impulsive disorder, in the US they are actually treated with medicine like : Mood stabilizers, Opioids, antidepressants and antipsychotic pills.

Disorder is what it is. It doesn't come because of gambling I think so. When a person brain malfunctions then it is a disorder and not necessarily because of gambling. There are factors that can expose someone to a disorder. Apart from gen that was inherited, factors like excessive smoking and consumption of hard drugs that are not recommended by physician can cause disorder. So gambling don't cause disorder but you can become an addict.
3798  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia can evade sanction through cryptocurrencies on: March 08, 2022, 10:56:21 AM

... but President Putin's move to use cryptocurrencies is commendable because it will help the development of the crypto market and its adoption today

It won't be commendable because everybody know it is for selfish purpose, purpose for just to run off from the effect of sanction, purpose of just survival and not for the real purpose of freedom of choice and adoption of open source system through blockchain. And purpose of possible denouncing bitcoin when situation is gone back to normal. Bitcoiners and crypto ethusiast are snarter than believing the use of bitcoin for selfish means.
3799  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia can evade sanction through cryptocurrencies on: March 08, 2022, 09:45:41 AM

Stopping the war would be the fastest way to lift those sanctions, but Russia do not look to be considering that now after hinting at a partnership with a Chinese payment system.

I read yesterday that the Russian Army has announced temporal ceasefire to allow for evacuation of civilians after both countries accused themselves of not obeying such agreement earlier. I think that bitcoin adoption or not shouldn't be Putin's priority now but to enter into peaceful dialogue and negotiation to end the war and only that can peace and economic rebuilding will come to Russia but for now EU is not ready to back down on those sanctions and Russian economy will keep going down even if they start trading with China, cost variation will be very wide from trading with follow EU members.
3800  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralized assets might be the saving grace after the war on: March 07, 2022, 09:34:54 PM
I hope it's not too late for Russian citizens that wants to decentralize thier finances. The rouble has already lost above 30%. Most Russians have already lost so much money. Also due to sanctions Russians might find it a little bit difficult to but cryptocurrencies.

The Russian currency experience just showing the difference between fiat and cryptocurrency. Fiat hardly have bull season and does not grow faster with volatility like bitcoin and this shows that fiat doesn't have the kind of volume and volatility bitcoin has. Recovery of fiat is difficult especially this kind of situation with Russia. Fiat isn't a store house of value. The war situation and sanctions is pulling the fiat down.
