So I generated my first mOnion today via PoS!  About 15 minutes afterwards another wee batch of mOnion popped into existence!

It was reduced, two days ago from memory, to provide for a better distribution of the coins in the first airdrop. If you are of the opinion that the DeepOnion Team are not very smart I suggest you drop them a PM and explain to them directly why you find them cognitively deficient. Not sure how'll they'll respond however.

The answer to your concern is quite simple - people shouldn't sell their Onions until they get the price they want for them. Also, anyone can buy some mining power now and get some extra Onion for themselves - the opportunity is there now, today.

Yes, posting regularly will increase your participation level - your participation level in turn determines your membership level. From memory you need 30 posts to become a Junior Member, however the number of posts that will be counted towards your participation level is limited over a certain period to discourage people spamming the boards with nonsense posts. Agreed. And if you don't have a mining rig capable of 2-4GH/s, I can tell you it will currently cost you roughly $50 USD to produce 1400 coins over 2 days (at 2-4GH/s) via nicehash. So those miners are already establishing an approximate market value for DeepOnion coins - coins everyone here on bitcointalk that participate in the airdrop correctly will be getting for free.

Do you understand that you will miss the first airdrop because you are not yet a Junior Member here on bitcointalk? (Unless you can achieve Junior Member level before the 21st).

As far as I understand the DO Team are using a script that checks the character count - in which case there will be no leeway to speak of.

It's a good question @Frank37 and I hope the DO Team find the time to answer it. If it less than expected and/or hoped for I would like to think that we 'early adopters' that are participating will attract extra reward - which I imagine would attract extra participants in the next round.

I expect there are people who will be waiting to see whether the first airdrop (based on participation that is) works out okay before committing themselves to what is after all a very long, and perhaps tedious, distribution of DO.

Others of course will wait for independent review of the DO tech. The TORcoin debacle left a bad taste in many folks mouths - and there remains the risk that the DO Team may in the end prove to be untrustworthy.

That said, I prefer at this stage to be cautiously optimistic and keep as close an eye on proceedings as I can.

I've approached a few people on bitcointalk who seem to have the wherewithal to have a close look at the project and report their findings. It actually would be helpful to have public, independent review of the tech.

Probably because as someone noted seemd to have virustotal changed its mind and indicate that DeepOnion was in fact clear of viruses.

I agree that those who have concerns should ideally be able to express them in the main thread without them being deleted.

My Nicehash orders (first time I've used them) directed at yammp keep going dead.
They are X13 ONION orders and I am pretty sure I have all the settings correct.
I changed my KawaiiPool party password at some stage for these orders - does yammp associate a wallet with a password permanently?

Hello folks, just checking in for the day to see how things are progressing with the coin. It's encouraging to see so many people either interested in mining the coin or mining it already. Unfortunately I can't mine myself at the moment as my GPU's are old and starting to burn out - I can't imagine CPU hashing would be of any use, would it?

There is a thread on the Deeponion.org community forums asking for people to create DeepOnion related images (memes, marketing, etc). If you're handy with PS, Illustrator etcetera it would be great if you could add a few images to that thread when you have time.

I'm with you on the 'everywhere' bit - not entirely sold on the 'dominate' angle though. Perhaps we could just start with the invasion of Poland and take it from there?
