381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 10, 2017, 04:24:37 PM
Has anyone done comparison of hash rates between the different brands of Vega 56s (or 64s)?

I have a Gigabyte 56 and have a Sapphire and PowerColor on the way.  I'm hoping there is little to no difference but I will find out.

I love the fact that I don't have to do BIOS flashing with the Vegas, that is such a hassle with the RX cards.

Found our first block in 12 hours with only 500H/s!

Looks like this should be a lucky pool.

0% fees for the month.

Luck is luck.  It could be 3 days to find the next block.

NEON wallet has issues with showing zero balance.  I don't think it's a Nano S issue.

i know so much happening with xmr... but what about equihash? i'm sure some of you would want to mine btg during release?

miner // settings ? anyone been able to optimisme yet...? Claymore best so far?

I don't expect any AMD cards to do very well with Equihash.  But if for some reason Bitcoin Gold is very profitable I will certainly try.

/ simple question \

6x Vega 64 how much daily profit in real life !  Grin

HuhHuh??
I don't trust whattomine & nicehash .

Why don't you trust them?  I trust them, the proof is in the BTC I receive every week from NiceHash.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO lost on Neon CoZ wallet/ Got them back on: November 10, 2017, 02:49:58 PM
I installed Neon 0.0.7 a few days ago and transferred 2 NEO into it.  I'm using Ledger Nano S integration.  Today I fired up Neon and it shows 0 balance.  What is going on?  neotracker.io shows my balance of 2 NEO.  And yes I am running on Mainnet and have refreshed.

This is really unacceptable and inexcusable.  From Googling it appears people have had this issue on and off through several releases.  One post mentioned something about a Coz transaction cache server?  Is this wallet depending on some external custom (non-blockchain explorer) server to get data?
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Anyone else having long long confirmation times with payments from Nice Hash? on: November 10, 2017, 02:22:50 PM
NiceHash is doing it again, payment sent 9 hours ago, zero confirmations and low priority.  I notice that the mempool size has doubled today, that's not helping.

Meanwhile Bitcoin is down 9% while waiting.  Thanks NiceHash!

Has anyone successfully received GAS for staking their NEO on the Ledger s?

Yep I tried it right after setting up the Nano for NEO.  Works great.  Wish I had bought more NEO @ $26.

Is there any web site that graphs block times and stats like that?

Hi,

I got rx VEGA 56 8gb POWER Color with micron RAM, bought this card mostly for testing and haven't managed to do any good results.

I've managed to hit 35mhs / 160-175watt on ether while i only got at 750hs on monero and 350 on zec both at around 200 watt.

I have not found bios mod for this type of card.

What is the best coin to mine with this card and what should my settings be to use it's full potential?

Card running on:
win7 latest update
Crimson relive 17.10.2
Afterburner 4.4.0 19 beta
atikmdag-patcher YES

Well first of all you have to use the blockchain driver.

Anyone think if this will result to a substantial gain for NEOs value?
I am procrastinating on getting some NEOs as I am trying to jumpstart my crypto portfolio before diving in to the top 10.

With the ban still on China, is this going to be lifted soon?

I don't think it will have much effect on the price.

I still expect NEO to skyrocket sometime in the future though I could easily be wrong.

394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Nano S and Free Gas on: November 08, 2017, 05:41:02 AM
NEON wallet 0.0.7 has support for NEO on Nano S.  There is a claim gas button in the wallet app.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Winter is coming: what's the coldest ambient temp. you've run your rigs? on: November 08, 2017, 05:08:21 AM
I am currently running my rigs in an unheated space.   I'm hoping that even if outside temps get down to below freezing there won't be any issues with the rigs seeing as how they put out enough heat to keep the surrounding area well above freezing.  I may build an enclosure if necessary.

So what's the lowest ambient temps you've run rigs?
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GOLD - A well thought Scam? on: November 08, 2017, 04:46:23 AM
I just hope it's profitable to mine.  It would be nice for AMD to have some competition from Nvidia.

I'm running a Vega 56 with stock BIOS.   Using Cast I have achieved a steady 1956 H/s for more than 24 hours sometimes.  Other times it will drop to 1700ish and will require a restart of the miner and sometimes reapplying the OverdriveNTool settings.  I am thinking of putting in an auto restart every hour or two and see how that goes.

Another pointless coin.  Sorry but it is.

Have fun.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For High-Confidential Transactions 🔏 on: November 08, 2017, 01:09:35 AM
Here's a thought for sumokoin pool operators, increase minimum payout threshold to 1 or 2 sumo. I see some pools will payout in amounts less than 1 sumo, this causes block chain bloat. Maybe when net hashrate is much higher it will make sense for smaller payouts, but for now it is just generating a large number of small tx, which will cause large database size.

I agree. SOAT pool pays out .1 SUMO, that's ridiculous, that's like a couple minutes of mining time for me.  I don't know how often they pay out but I don't need need 10 payouts a day.  Twice a day is more than enough.  It would be best if it were configurable but the pool software just doesn't support that.

with tuned vega  you can use any good 800w psu for 3 vegas... even 750w ...  just need 4 pci cables and a splitter ... each card will draw approx 150w but  some will come from the pci express slot some from the pci express power plugs

Yeah I was wondering if an 8 pin splitter would be safe.
