381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to maintain profitability in crypto trading on: May 03, 2023, 12:03:47 PM

HERE ARE SOME WAYS TO MAINTAIN PROFITABILITY IN CRYPTO TRADING:
1) Decrease your waste : if you want to maintain constant profits in your trading, you must reduce some special time you spend in some activities that will distract your attention in crypto trading because, crypto trading need constant attention so that you will not miss your profits at the moment.

When trading does not allow you time for other activities that you call special or not special, it means you are not trading rightly. Trading is suppose to give you the time to do other things while you still do your trading, so you have to plan your time. If you are a trader and still leaving the life of an employee of 8am to 5pm kind of engagement, you are just as the same as a white collar job worker. If you keep yourself glued on your computer to monitor your trade consistently after you have made an entry order then you need to learn more easy and proficient way of trading. The solution to what you have said is to adopt the use of stop loss and take profit, you can't be trading without it and you have to know trading is about profit and losses, don't over guide yourself on not losing because you can't stop it if you have entered a wrong trade, the best is to use your stop loss.

I noticed the congestion today and not only today for close to 48 hours but I'm not really worried because I used a lower fee. Well apart from pumping your transaction like have been suggested to you if you are in a rush, I think you can be patient for the congestion to be cleared. If you check the transaction you see how many thousands of transactions waiting to be cleared. One reason that cause such traffic is fees when it is lower.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 02, 2023, 04:38:32 PM
There's a saying among old school traders that goes 'sell in May and go away' as historically May is a bad month for trading stocks and commodities.

I think that was strictly on stock trading and that was because April is the ending of first quarter and companies could open sells of shares but with commodities and cryptocurrency, the story is not the same, it is more of unregulated and open free market to exit or enter at any time.

They take this time to be in the side lines and evaluate what their next move is gonna be for the following month of June and beyond.

The reason that old school traders then would stay back at this point is because they never understood the DCA but now staying by the side line wouldn't help a pragmatic investor and moreover the risk appetite currently is far from what was in old school traders, they had more fear and less greed. Bitcoin season now in 2023 is not same as in 2015/2017, the pump can happen at any time and the pump has been experienced already this year despite speculation of bear before halving.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sentimental analysis explained! on: May 02, 2023, 12:46:25 PM
hence the need for me to explain it today. Perhaps, it could be useful for some people in theory and in practice.

Are you claiming credit for this work? I think you should provide link or source where you got this from.

To make it clearer, Sentimental analysis is the act of sorting for or collecting established signals, data, market biases and commentaries of other traders/experts.

Apart from data gotten from technical and fundamental analysis, you refuse to talk about the emotion of traders that also arise from same data analysed. Greed and fear are majorly what makes sentiment a factor to be considered in trading. It is not enough to trigger sell or buy because they are what are shown in trading channels, what about when market is over sold or over bought, this is why late emotional comers pay the price by losing.

This happens mostly when traders don't believe in themselves. They might want to solely rely on the external signals/data they trust or use them to confirm their own analysis.

This shows is an aggregate of trader's disbelieve and fear that is defined as market sentiment.

Does Sentimental analysis work?

Yes, it does if used rightly, and I'd used it before getting to my present state in trading. All you need is to find the right channels for your information and you will be fine.

No it doesn't. It doesn't work as perfectly as you want it to be believed. Sentiment is another type of penetrating the market for entry purpose just like technical and fundamental analysis
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: April 30, 2023, 07:17:44 PM
I think the benefits of Bitcoin can be felt by people of all ages. While some young people may be more curious and open to exploring new technologies, not all young people may have the same level of interest or curiosity in Bitcoin. It's important to provide guidance and education to all individuals who are interested in exploring the world of Bitcoin, regardless of their age. That's a good direction for those interested in bitcoin.

There is a popular saying that the youth are the future of tomorrow. You can't compare the level of awareness of bitcoin on the youth and the aged, of course the rate of awareness on the youth is far more against the aged in all ramifications including usage, mining etc. Everyone is open to the technology of blockchain and bitcoin but the discuss is that it is the youth that will sustain it. By this the level of adoption in 20 years from now will be higher than what we see now owing because the youth of today has higher chances of being alive in 20years time than today's aged, this means accessibility and use will further increase. Most aged don't know what bitcoin is but in 20 years in the future, most aged will have a clear and better understanding of what it is.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: April 30, 2023, 05:58:56 PM
No argument about this as we know the aged are going to pass away for the new generation where youth belong to. The growing businesses are already having the option of bitcoin payment and the youth are not new to it because of the social media space that have gone viral. The awareness is high on the benefit of bitcoin use like trading, mining or affiliate bitcoin businesses. However the challenge with youth on this is the rush for money through bitcoin because of unemployment and that get them scammed more than they profit in bitcoin.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Maker Action Analyzer on: April 30, 2023, 04:07:58 PM
I think you didn't really use an attractive catchy in your post and that is why it is obvious to every one that you have something fishy up your sleeve. Grin MM usually manipulate the market by either creating fud and cause price change. They either buy or sell unimaginable to attract a position where is not expected.  Therefore, I just won't fall for such gimmick by a newbie .
388  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I think it's time to leave Binance, any alternatives? on: April 29, 2023, 02:04:26 PM

Let's not bury Binance prematurely, because despite all the Fud, the exchange continues its work. If you really consider yourself to be a trader, then you should have registration on at least several other cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Kucoin and Bybit.

Exactly and traders should have learnt their lessons by now with the incident of FTX experience., people should be able to adopt and master the use of other exchange. Also they have to limit the amount of coins they hodl in cex, it is better to move them out to a personal wallet. But binance is very much concentrating on its issue and going on with her business. We don't have to spread fud faster than it is.
389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know it that market is speculative on: April 29, 2023, 12:17:56 PM

Most newbies know this, but what they cannot and they do not want to understand is that they believe this market somehow can go against the rules of common sense and allow someone which knows nothing about this market to make huge profits in a short amount of time, and this not true, the markets reward the skilled and the experienced, and since they do not have any of those two characteristics then it is to be expected they are punished by it and they lose their money instead of making any.

That not withstanding some times the market favours a newbie or any other trader to make huge profit irrespective of bad strategy or not good entry point, this is what brings the beauty of the market as a speculative one. At such time the trader is happy to have made such unimaginable profit but the sad story is the trader with no experience will soon lose that profit to the market at the long run. Have you heard they say the market gives you a welcome profit sometimes especially for a starter  Grin

391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: April 28, 2023, 01:55:07 PM
Some expands to mining, trading and physical business but when you eat you investment at every little price increase or drops you tends to remained statics, holding is a good option no matter the current price. Some people who became big bitcoin investors became it as a result of holdings.

Some stops in the bull rise of price are a good time to start again by selling in profit on what you already have made. Those stops are called correction and you don't know how far deep it can go so if you can spot it then nothing is wrong by taking your profit at that point and wait for DCA. It is not every hodler that can wait for bitcoin 4 years circle for halving because that is actually the time for bull run season.
392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW DO I GROW MY MERIT LEVEL SAME WAY MY ACTIVITY IS GROWING? on: April 28, 2023, 01:07:35 PM
Stop thinking about that and browse the forum for learning. That's the easiest way to get the maximum merit.

This is the best response that will help you because it is better for you to learn by yourself and not to be spoon feed by some response. However you only have 14 activities and that is barely two weeks of being here and why the rush. Take time to read and study the platform before searching for ways to jump at merit. It comes easily sometimes, you can read on this board
393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will April be a red month? on: April 28, 2023, 11:17:16 AM

Price is otherwise re-testing the 50 Day MA at $27.1K, that failed to act as support last month, after the "golden cross" that occurred with the 200 Day MA back in February:

Yes I spotted that out. I think this re-test happened two days ago after price dropped from $30,000 and coming down gradually to $28,000 and bouncing off  $27,178 to retry the $30,000 area. This is definitely a trying time for price in looking for a ground for a trend flow. I think the month of April has fulfilled its plan , hopefully another trend should show up in May for trend spotters to ride.
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: The power of Bitcoin in global world on: April 27, 2023, 03:29:04 PM
Have you ever wonder how lucrative or powerful Bitcoin is in the crypto world.

According to Kemper's formula: A person need a total of 0.06624605 BTC in order to guarantee wealth worth $1 million.

I think his hypothesis is not yet complete for someone to have interest to debate on it. I have no problem if he is speculating 0.06624605 btc to guarantee wealth worth of $1 million but my point is how many years will the hodl that value of bitcoin until it gets to a million dollar. Is the person hodling for eternity? Anyway, we know that he is merely speculating just like anyone can do. Hodling some fractions of bitcoin for a long time is sure to increase no doubt but no guarantee on how much value it can create.
395  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Social vices; unhealthy society. on: April 27, 2023, 03:05:29 PM
Societies that occupied chronic drugs addicts, chain smokers, high way robbers, prostitutions, kidnappers, cultism, bloody leaders, and witchcrafts practices is vulnerable to threats and unhealthy society. Some communities has no peace around their environment because they're people who have decided to create tends atmosphere. You can not move freely because you're sore afraid of another persons posting as threats to their lives.

Any society that do not practice harmony and coherent society tends to destroy lives of its members and when lives is negatively affected it becomes a threats to the society. We should leader to maintain healthy society by been clean to yourself and your community. Let's avoid bad habits and drugs to build possible society for the future.

All the restiveness that you have mentioned can be handled through rule of law, equity and justice. If the legal mechanism of the society is allowed to operate without biase then crime rate will reduce and you can see this in countries that operate real human system that has institutions maintaining law and order. The people are a function of the society, irresponsible leadership happens because notorious element find themselves in the corridor of power and so they can't do things that are right and sane, if they do that it means going against their fellow notorious cohorts. This is unfortunate thing because the few sane people keep suffering against the bad and wicked inhumane policies of bad operators of governance.
396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Staking really great way in crypto wealth on: April 27, 2023, 11:00:56 AM
Staking is surely a way to earn some coins in profit when you finally sell off it but you have to know that the margin of profit you can get while staking your coin is very minimal if you have to trade it. Although trading is difficult and scary  Grin A good decisive trade can give you more than 100% - 200% turn over to your initial value of coin in just a month (30days of staking) and that calculated over 120 days (3 months) but if you stake in a month you can only have less than 12%-16% and more less percentage in staking profit for 60 days or 120 days because in staking the higher the durational time of keeping your coins in hodl on the exchange, the lower your profit or earning staking bonus vice versa. This is what you need to consider in staking. Another thing is the staking earning percentage is not at random for every coin. Example, the percentage you will have for staking differs in different exchanges and also depending on the coins usability and demand. In binance for example, I have noticed the available time for staking differs in different coins, Shiba has longer time for staking up to 120 days with higher percentage in earning but ctsi is more shortened with lower earning percentage.
397  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why coin base take so long to deliver a coin? on: April 26, 2023, 01:49:47 PM

What happens to your account is not normal unless you used an international bank transfer and sent those currencies before the weekend, then it will take 5 to 6 days.

This is possible to be the issue your are facing if you were dealing in fiat and depending on the time you were sending if the operators have gone for weekend or holiday for few days, anything on this could be possible.  If you are dealing on cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency, usually it is suppose to reflect after 1 confirmation. If there is delay it could be low fees charged if you manually set it by yourself but I know in binance fees are automatically set and so you don't have such issues with that. At most you can reach out to customer care service.
398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Know it that market is speculative on: April 26, 2023, 09:03:33 AM
For newbies in trading, you need to understand that the crypto market is a speculative and not stagnant. It moves up and down known as bull and bear respectively. Incase you don't know, now, how trade happens is when one buyer is speculating up another can speculate down and the exchange happens on the trading platform. For example when the price of btc is $28,000, someone is speculating it further to buy to $29,500 and another can speculate it to sell to $26,000. So depending on your chart and analysis, that determines your winning strength if you speculate rightly. Trading is speculative based on your technical analysis, indicators and fundamentals (news).

What do you think?
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role have altcoinsplayed in the entire cryptocurrency industry on: April 25, 2023, 02:54:37 PM

So this have led me to ask this fundamental question of what role have altcoins played in the cryptocurrency industry, Has altcoin played any significant role in increasing the adoption of Bitcoin?

Yes I believe the altcoins have further fortified the increasing rate of the use of bitcoin. The shit coins especially have given adopters of bitcoin more conviction to hodl, buy more and introduce new hodlers into the fold of bitcoin. They say being scammed once, you try to avoid a second occurrence so it is this experience that increase the hodling of bitcoin and halving of bitcoin is a moment that ensures more awareness.

Have alternatives cryptocurrencies help the growth and adoption of cryptocurrency in the global market and how far have the presence of alternatives cryptocurrency help the industry positively?
Or Negatively?

Altcoins are a positive publicity for bitcoin. If bitcoin only existed I don't think the growth will be this strong because market that has no competition is a monopolistic market which means choices will be absent and variety will be absent then the full benefit of the market and utility to users will not be fulfilled. Altcoins play this role of cryptocurrency market competition and making it demonopolistic.
400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner mistakes and how to avoid them on: April 25, 2023, 09:57:33 AM
I don't think I need to add more to the points you made because the topic has been a public notice to trade with stop loss and not to over trade. I want to add something in the area of clearification of my understanding on the points you listed already.

* Over trading-- it's very important for a day trader to limit the number of trade he/she took in a day.

I think over trading is not only about how many trades that a trader enter in a day. I believe when a trader is doing high risk trading then he or she is over trading because at a little change in direction, the account of the trader can wipe off. So having a moderate number of trading and good money management, is right psychology for trading.

* Failure to use stop-loss-- to me it's the most important thing I do while trading, an it's always close to my entry price, I do it that way so that if the trade didn't go as planned, I won't lose more than 10% of my margin.

Keeping your stop loss close to entry price is good like you do because it doesn't eat up much of your balance when goes wrong but at the same time, that will also not give your trade space to "breath" and you will find your trade always logging you out in stop loss at little shift in your entry price. My suggestion is to have a certain measurement of percentage in risk for a trade you are taking.
