381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what causes the price of altcoin down? on: March 13, 2018, 08:20:50 AM
The only reason is what happening to bitcoin. Whenever bitcoin price falls, altcoins prices fall too and altcoins price fall is usually bigger than bitcoin.

Bitcoin has linked itself to movement of other altcoins because many exchanges available worldwide don’t provide fiat exchange pair for altcoins, and rather provide bitcoin as exchange pair for altcoins, therefore when bitcoins falls, altcoin falls. Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin. Though altcoins drop more in comparison to bitcoin when the market drops, it also rises faster than bitcoin when market recovers. Therefore altcoins are for making quick profits whereas bitcoin is suitable for long term trading.

Crypto Market Is Down But How Can You Win Still?
Crypto market is down for now, but it wont be down forever. It’s a win because we have a chance to invest more amount and buys coins at pretty low price and we aren’t in loss unless we sell the coins we hold at a low price. So two key features of winning even when the market is down are holding of existing coins and buying new coins in all dips. This will always keep you in significant profit once the market recovers.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waiting 2 days for ethereum transfer! on: March 13, 2018, 07:05:10 AM
Someone sent me some ethereum 2 days ago!I know they sent it: checked Etherscan
Has not shown up!
As far as I am concerned ethereum is a joke.
Opinions please!
Tell him to cancel that transaction and resend again with higher gwei.
To cancel a transaction send 0ETH to self address with medium to high gas fee and wait for it to get confirmed.
Thanks for that information mate. I didn’t know that a sent transaction can also be cancelled and there is such a process. I thought that ethereum or bitcoin once sent cannot be cancelled and remain stuck in between until they are received by a person at a particular address. Although I knew that sending with high gas confirms the transaction quickly. But if that’s the case, it can be said that blockchain transactions are reversible and this might also be risky. But again it helps many people to process their stuck transaction.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Coin - would you invest? on: March 13, 2018, 06:23:15 AM
Cardano (ADA) is a promising coin with a project that seems to have a bright future. Nowadays its price is very low to give opportunity for buying and holding.
I agree but the Market Cap is already high for ADA at the price $0.2-0.21 per ADA.
At $2-$3 per ADA, the MC would exceed 50 billions.
ADA has been introduced to this world only a few time ago and that most of the people still dot know about it but one thing is for sure that the way it has started, this coin will surely surprise the investors of the crypto currency as it is going to have a huge increase in the market value and that too in a short period of time. This coin is very much capable of going up and that its demand will increase too.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Agrees with Me? on: March 13, 2018, 05:21:49 AM
So I started noticing a pattern.
Everytime the market goes to the moon, the down trend lasts for a several weeks. Meaning, only when Bitcoin it's going to be at it's highest, the altcoins are going to be at the lowest point.
Then, the money from Bitcoin will start going to the Altcoins, making them going up even more.

Have you noticed the same thing?
That's right, I agree with you, I'm a bit concerned, bitcoin does affect altcoin, and I think it's fair because bitcoin is the first coin worthy of an example of success, and it's also good for traders, they can do it. double benefit
Technically speaking, there is no such comparison in between bitcoin and altcoin and that neither of the coin hardly effect the market of other coin. It is because of the fact that both the coins have their separate domain and that the investors who invest in either of the coins invest based on their own personal interest. The ones who want to do day trading will never opt for bitcoin and those who want to do holding will never opt altcoins.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: March 13, 2018, 04:48:50 AM
For me, all user of altcoin gives its value because if there is no user there no demand, definitely its has no value that time.

So the main factor that gives value in one coins demand of all user.

Acceptance in any community makes more valuable of any alternative coin, people patronizing and used it in proper transaction makes altcoin more credible plus the good impact of advertising that can invite more investors.
The increasingly interest of the people for investing of their money into different sort of altcoins is something which is adding more and more value to them as it is really helping the altcoins to have a greater demand in the international market as a result of which the market value of the altcoins is also increasing at a very speedy rate. You can also invest in altcoins if you are looking for some coins for investing your money.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do I have to learn in trading? on: March 12, 2018, 11:25:20 AM
You need to study everything market wise, including ideas and concepts. Learn to analyze the basic and look the price charts. For additional learning you need to attend some seminars conducted by a profesional traders it can provide valuable insight into a overall market and specific investment strategies
Trading is something which demands you to study for a very significant period of time and that it is true that you have to spend more of your time in learning new things and the things which you are unaware of than doing the trade practically. If you will be having enough of the knowledge regarding the things, only then you can become a better trader with an ability of making good money.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Vs Bitcoin on: March 12, 2018, 10:36:38 AM
Any person may oversee that the circulating supply of the bitcoin is less than the circulating supply of the Ethereum coins it is quite logical that the lesser number of coins, the larger price value of that coin since bitcoin has around sixteen million coins compared to that Ethereum which is nearly ninety million bitcoin will thrive.
In the world of crypto currency, both bitcoin and ETH are doing exceptionally well and that they can really help you in having some good amount of earnings too but it is your interest which can help you in deciding any of the coins amongst these two. If you are a day trader and you are looking some coin for that purpose, then you should go for ETH. Otherwise, bitcoin is the best thing to have for long term investment of money.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple excellent company, but time to sell my XRP? on: March 12, 2018, 08:52:26 AM
Hi All

Got into crypto a while back, and having read up on Ripple, and not having as much knowledge as I should, bought a fair bit of XRP thinking good company = price hike on the XRP. Held on to it, seen a bit of a rise, but really regret not selling on the pre-hype pump linked to the Coinbase saga in Dec. I have held on to the it, believing similar is likely to happen again when it is finally added to Coinbase, but XRP no longer has the appeal it did.

However has the opportunity gone, and the likely x10 increase gone? Part of me thinks the opportunity is still there, part of me thinks, I could be reinvesting this in more worthwhile crypto projects.

Thoughts please, Hodl still?
Yes, Ripple has a very strong team, but this coin is different from other cryptocurrencies. There are ambiguous thoughts about it. On the one hand, banks are interested in this coin to facilitate transactions and they invest money in it, but on the other hand banks do not like strong price caps of cryptocurrencies for that they criticize bitcoin. Perhaps with an increase in demand for Ripple, banks will begin to push the price up and it will cost x10 or more, but there may be another scenario where banks will artificially hold prices at a level that they consider profitable for themselves. And in the aftermath of today's news that Ripple has emerged as the leader among the top ten of the Coinmarketcap rating. So, over the past day, the Cryptocurrency has grown by more than 16%. Analysts believe that such growth is due to the successful testing of cross-border payments based on Ripple technology by the South Korean bank Woori Bank. Let me remind you that in February Ripple introduced a new consensus algorithm to ensure further decentralization of the network.
That’s true. Many investors and people in the world just hesitate to invest in ripple XRP because they think that it is highly centralized and controlled by the banks. But I don’t see this as a disadvantage, rather its an advantage that ripple has such healthy partnerships with strong firms. Moreover ripple has been taking slow steps towards decentralizing its network slowly. I am sure this coin will be of huge utility in the future and will have huge demand. As the partnerships for XRP grow, more the demand grows and so does the price.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current Strategy Investing or Holding. on: March 12, 2018, 08:14:59 AM
Market is down at present and i think invest as much as you can as after correction phase prices would surely surge and high profit is expected on return.Holding currently is another good planning to earn a considerable return as per your planning. If you sell your investment due to low prices you would not be able to receive much profit. To me currently both Investing and holding strategy are inevitable...
Never sell the crypto you have during the dip, keep holding it until the market rises and you have profit. Also if you have money besides the one invested, keep on buying more coins in dips part by part in each dip. Buying in dips will give you more profit and make your portfolio strong. Holding are buying are the two things one must do during dips and dumps to make a good and significant amount of profit.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins brought you massive losses? on: March 12, 2018, 06:10:36 AM
I always bought coins at cheapest price, i was still in some profit when bitcoin has hit $7000, so no losses so far. There is a key, never buy a coin whos growing rapidity and at high price.
True. He bought the coins when the market was at its peak and in quite much hype which made the prices of crypto currencies swell. Always buy during the corrections and not when cryptos are rising rapidly cause many time you miss the train in such situation. And always buy in parts when there are dips. Keep buying small amount of cryptos in every dip and keep selling some amounts in every pump. By doing so, you shall never face lose.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Monero on: March 12, 2018, 05:36:18 AM
I think altcoins, will be appreciated more in the nearest future, than bitcoin. At bitcoin now big problems with liquidity and the big commissions.
Even now, many people in the world that have knowledge about crypto currencies and blockchain technology appreciate altcoins more than bitcoin. Many altcoins have more advanced technology than bitcoin will every have. Bitcoin now has scalability issues and transaction speed and fees issue. Till these are not solved, I don’t see bitcoin going much far from here. The liquidity of bitcoin has also been compromised with time. If bitcoin is to prevail, It will have to develop its technology.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano the new NEO? on: March 12, 2018, 05:02:55 AM
Hi,

I think Cardano will be a lot bigger.
What do you think?

The new NEO?
Edit: I mean NEO because the price will increase a lot Smiley
Yes, I think that ada will be quite big in the near future in terms of coin market cap and we will see a 5X to 10X growth in cardano easily this year. Cardano is a technology platform on which the crypto currency ADA operates on. The platform makes use of smart contracts and is highly decentralized and secure. The transactions are speedy and with less fees. ADA is a highly scalable crypto currency. Cardano not only aims to operate smart contracts, but also side chains, meta data and multiple-party computation.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5000$ for one Coin on: March 10, 2018, 10:03:07 AM
Dear Members

I am planning to invest 5000$ for a coin. Do not tell put your all money in to one coin. because i have already put some money in that theory also.
please suggest me coins, under 1$ recommended.

Please mention one coin

I can offert you to buy "DigiByte" very perspective crypto,he is already have x10 and now go down again,so in closer future he is again will have x10, check it
So many coins have potential but the OP will end up confused based on whatever he is told here. For someone who wants to invest that amount of money, then he should really be ready to make his investment worth it by taking his time to do his own research rather than feeding on what others are saying. However, for the benefit of helping out, NEM, TRX, BCN and COSS should be a starting point, but please do your own research still.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you screen ICO projects, what do you look at? on: March 10, 2018, 08:49:28 AM
Agree. It is really hard to find reliable ICO review sites. And if you would like to get some insider view, you probably need to pay for it. I recommend cryptobrifing.com to you. It seems to be a legit site to provide high quality reviews.
Pretty hard bro! Pretty hard!! I would rather do my own proper digging on any project by investing the team, checking all that I need to know if there is a product or not before even considering going through any other information. The rating website are after the monetary aspect and as long as that is in play, they care less about the investors and the community at large and they are only good when they are new, just wait for them once they become a household name in the community.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RED EVERY WHERE. on: March 10, 2018, 07:51:55 AM
That's normal market forces especially crypto which is very volatile.
My portfolio ath, lost around 60% already, but overall I'm still up by 200%.
Yes, the crypto market is quite volatile and is highly affected by the news, media or government. Just the news about binance been hacked made quite much panic sell and the crypto moved southwards sharply. People have lost quite much of money cause of panic selling and such dips, but quite many people also have made profit by buying in the correction. Dips and rises shows that the market is alive and there is volume.
397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Monitoring of new coins on: March 10, 2018, 07:21:55 AM
I was looking through recent news about different tokens and found new info about Credits. This token got listed on Idex and Tidex exchanges and it shows quite good volume growth. " 30,83% on IDEX, almost 5% on Tidex in previous 24h". Nice, nice..
It always does. I have not really seen any coin that is listed on a major exchange without seeing it have some pretty substantial growth within a short while. It may not be sustained for long, but at least, for someone who is looking for some quick gains, I believe that should mean something after holding the coin in other exchanges before it gets tradeable since you already know about it firsthand.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: new holder of panic on: March 10, 2018, 06:50:45 AM
earlier this year I tried to hold some coins and tokens but saw the market and the exchange getting downhill, what is the best move to sell it or hold it?

This is a common thing in all markets up and down are very common thing in crypto world so investors should definitely be patient with your investments it will be very helpful and valuable in your future.
Yes, there are ups and downs in every market whether its digital or not. Even stock markets and gold prices see ups and downs. Pumps and dumps are part of trading and investing. For a market to stay healthy are grow and also for the trading volume to rise, pumps and dumps are necessary. People sell high and reinvest in the dips once the market has fallen. Crashing of a market for some period of time attracts new investors which results in rising of market again larger than it was previously reaching all new time highs.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you research if the coin is a good investment? on: March 10, 2018, 06:19:21 AM
How do you do your own research if the coin is a good investment?

For me, I always look on the purpose of the project, the team behind it, what exchanges is it available on etc. And one of the important thing for me is the total supply of the coin.
I also research if the coin is Proof of Work (POW), Proof of Stake (POS), Pre-mined or other.
Before buying a coin, one must read its whitepaper and see for what use the coin is being created for, does it have any real world applications, which team is working behind it, are they being transparent, how many partnerships they have been able to make so far, on what platform the coin is being created, what are the key features of the coin, what are they doing to promote their coin and gain people interest, what is the supply of the coin and many other key features. Reading its white paper will provide quite much info and you can judge whether it seems legit or scam.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, Ripple or Litecoin? on: March 10, 2018, 05:46:22 AM
What is the best choice regarding investing in these coins? Lately I have sold my Ethereum and now I am waiting for the right moment to buy them again, but shall I also buy Ripple and Litecoin?
From this list I would choose the litecoin, since its capitalization is the smallest, and therefore has the greatest potential for growth.
Capitalization doesn’t determine the potential of any crypto currency. It determines the price of crypto currency. Capitalization increases only if the crypto has some good technology beneath it and hard working team on it. Litecoin though is a great coin, its value cannot be determined cause it has low market capitalization. The technology beneath litecoin is still in the development phase whereas ethereum and XRP are far better in terms of technology. Ethereum has smart contracts and that provides it with higher security and privacy features.
