if you really worked hard on this plz don't launch until your ready to come back with something serious

Now all is well, the blocks are confirmed. mining closed?
Yes. Even though the network seems to be working now, we can't allow one or two people to own such a big share of microCoins. There are other modifications that need to be done as well. add pos

did he say its scrypt and sha256 at the same time?

I think 2014 will be the year where all these crap altcoins will start fading away, and the strongest ones are left. It's all a matter of survival of the strongest
I also think this is the year when new ideas start improving crypto

The only problem now is tht the early adopters/miners are sort of like the old robber barrons of the industrial revolution. They get richer and richer and take most of the available resources before the common folk gets a chance. EX: ASICS... just take a look at the alpha-tech order book 1 person bought 20 units of the 25mh/s miner. I tried to buy one last night ...Credit Card declined lol

We are currently experiencing the evolution of crypto. with each new crap coin tht comes out we learn what works and doesn't. Bitcoin is the alpha but it is not the omega. Your not to late

12 trillion coins?
12mil block size?
Why so many?
Better use for currency so we don't have to go to the 8th decimal place I like it

there's nothing wrong with a lil premine just as long as you use it to develop the coin. A lot ppl here think they should get rich off of your hard work well I say F them in the but... Miners think they are entitled to get first dibs on a coin when they do absolutely nothing

I noticed all the sha256 coins are much slower than scrypt alts. Is there a reason why no sha256 alts attempt atleast 1 minute block speeds?

I read tht amd's future gpu's might go up to 2mh/s. is this true?

just payed 5btc yes im in

I can't really figure out why nobody likes talking about NVC. It seems half the time NVC is ever brought up in btc-e trollbox it's someone calling it a scam. No one can even explain what the scam is, but surely it's a scam. everyone says it is. I bought into PPC and NVC mostly on their technical merits. The former seems to be working out nicely, the latter, not so much. It doesn't help NVC that it's been cloned to hell by 394823 different shitcoins too ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) A lot of ppl love the thech part of NVC over BTC and LTC. People lost faith in it after the scandal and the Russians were presumed to keep the price artificially high. Nova was actually priced higher the LTC for a long while, but why not invest into a NVC clone tht wasn't pre-mined? I myself don't have a problem with premine if the devs are working hard on the coin. Why should miners get rich off of the devs hard work and devs get nothing in return. As long as they don't dump its all good, and idk anyone who would dump a coin tht they put their sweat and heart into

Here you wait up to 3 Month for good GPU. 5 Mh/s = 7 R9 280x 7 R9 280x = 1750 Watt The Alpha Miner need 100 Watt. (Scam is always possible ...... ) The Rig with 7 GPU can you not realize because I don`t know motherboard with 7 PCi/e slots. For 6 GPU yes (today arrived ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ) I can compare both maybe in 6 Month. Let see whats going on. I thought about this to but cant find gpu's anywhere so tht concept goes out of the door, and now online shops are imposing one gpu/customer limits

I'm not sure if this was asked before. By the time they deliver the units, wouldn't the difficulty rate be at a point which would render the 5mhs or 25mhs you're getting useless?
The asics will not provide and exponential hash rate increase like we've seen with sha-256. In fact GPU's will be able to compete as far as hashing power goes, but the Asic will win on less energy consumption so the electric bill wont be so astronomical.

|
|
Why my hash rate down? before this, my hash rate stable at 4.7 Mh/s
scrypt-jane is designed to make gpu mining less efficient over a period of time and it becomes more cpu friendly

try not using "." in the rpcname and point your miner to the rpcport
can you show me how my .bat would look? example I don't understand I have a question im trying to solo mine this coin. Is the black cmd box suppose to show my hash rate like it does when Im mining on a pool or do the coins just pop up in my wallet when I solve a block?
Yes it shows your hashrate Ps: look at the prices! rising good For some reason when I'm trying to solo mine it doesn't work. This is what I did First I went to user>appdata>Roaming>velocitycoin. Here I created a "velocitcoin.conf" that looked like this rpcuser=Mrv rpcpassword=xxxx rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 daemon=1 server=1 listen=1 gen=0 port=21333 rpcport=21334 addnode=77.247.181.162 addnode=91.77.102.87 addnode=91.154.202.96 addnode=78.205.83.28 addnode=87.219.35.151 addnode=121.221.31.187 2nd I created a "vec.bat" looked like this velocitycoinminer -o 127.0.0.1:21334 -u Mrv -p xxxx--scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1387769316 -I 17 When I launch the vec.bat it doesn't hash am I missing something iv read countless guides and tuts but cant figure this out changed above, this should do Bro thanks the rpcport for some reason made it work. I don't get it why does tht work and the recommened port for solo on the OP doesnt
