Looks like the third weeks extension was pretty successful.

Yes, funds raised have almost doubled since the extension.

And its not over yet.

I'm having a hard time not investing more at the last minute  Tongue

Look at the buy vs sell volume ratio on bittrex!

Very impressive. Looks like the only way is up at this point as no one seems to want to sell  Cheesy

The main point into getting in an ICO is to have equal prices with every other investors in order to avoid the dumping at starting price.

Not true. Many ICO / IPOs give private or early investors better rates.

Now market price will be dumped at the very early phase in order to make this easy 20% profit. Which will cause some panic and you might see the price fall even lower then 16k sat.

Not everyone is in it for the quick buck - some of us actually believe in the ideas behind the coin..  Wink

Anyway your logic is not sound. Simply because an investor paid 20% less does not mean they will feel obliged to dump for a quick profit. Why would they not rather be happy they get to hold 20% more than they had originally purchased?

Late investor or not, 20% difference is BS. But what ever if any late investor is dumb enough to get into this, it's his business i guess.

Resorting to petty insults to get your point across? Troll elsewhere please.

Sapience isn't the only AI game in town, jl777 is just about to launch a 'SkyNET' asset, part of the SuperNET I assume.

https://nxtforum.org/nxtventures/reserved-6826/

Interesting timing. jl777 announces the AI asset, quite mysteriously, on the 2nd of December - well after XAI has been announced.

No real substance at all to the asset 'launch' that I can see. Plus the name SkyNET appears to be heavily trademarked.. http://tmsearch.uspto.gov

Kind of feels like jl777 knows a good idea when he sees one...  Wink

Relax guys.

The more funds the project has the better the projects possible outcomes are. For those of you interested in the technology this is good and for those of you interested in simply making a return on your investment this is also good.

Nope. Less buyers = less coins = less sell pressure. Let the people who missed this crowdsale buy this from the market.

Hmmm. More investors = more people with vested interest in the tech. / coin doing well = more chance of success.

People will trade this coin later on the exchanges anyway. Trading on the secondary market will not increase the development fund - which is what is needed for development.

As an investor I invested money in this project for two reasons:

1. I want ROI
2. I want the project to succeed (AI on the blockchain is really mind blowing)

This is the second time the crowdfund is extended at the last minute. I can understand the first extension, but the second one I don't.
It was stated 25 BTC was needed for success / 40 BTC would be ideal. About 50 BTC was raised.

If this extension benefits XAI Sapience AIFX, then good. But since the rules are changed, I agree that the early investors should be rewarded in some way.

20% more coins / or raising the price last week to 24k sat sounds ok. But Dev/Joe must put this info here: http://crowdfund.blockchainsingularity.com/ ASAP!

Clear rules, and follow them please.
Done

Thank you!

I have added Sapience AIFX to https://www.CoinWallet.co

Thought it might be helpful as there have been issues with Mega in the last couple of days. If anyone needs a Sapience wallet address for the ICO you can use one from CoinWallet.co and then transfer the coins to your personal wallet once the Mega issues are resolved and you get a local wallet.

The dev is highly intelligent / capable programmer but he was clearly hoping for way more initially. Hence the 1 Million coins for sale at 40K sats. Due to current market conditions he probably felt like he didn't have a choice to say that a much lower amount would be acceptable as he probably didn't want to let people down. Let's face it there was no promotion and not much investment. When you consider the work needed to build an artificial intelligence living on the blockchain... do you really think it can be done to the level of quality we all want for just 25 to 40 btc?

To be honest I think completing such an ambitious (and exiting) project will take more than 100 BTC or 200 BTC.

I think the dev. has given us a clue to this in the following comment:

There is indeed an opportunity cost for me, but I am making a big bet that towards 4th quarter of next year after we have the public open source XAI platform up, that I'll be able to put some pro-tools/SaaS in front of it and flip it to a VC/PE in the same way we've seen some other projects play out.  But I think its important to put an open source decentralized platform like this out there first, it changes the dynamics + its disruptive.

I am not sure exactly what this first round of funds will be used for. But I think the important thing here is to get a team of interested parties together to get started on the project.

I think if a framework can be put in place by next year and it works a lot of interest from some heavyweight investors would not be hard to get.

Installed on win7 and linux, both clients are showing out of sync but showing 170 blocks. Is this correct?

Yes, it appears that is correct.

Megacoin was almost at $3 on BTC38.com an hour or so ago!!!

17.70 CNY    =    2.90435 USD

Reading through a lot of the old posts and had to post this....

Lets take megacoin back to where it belongs people.

Good times...  Cheesy
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: $XAI Sapience AIFX - Decentralized AI | Brain on Blockchain! *1 DAY LEFT* on: December 03, 2014, 03:05:33 PM
I vote for another round of funding immediately after this one or staggered at a later date.

Three reasons for this.

1: Adequate funding is crucial esp for such an ambitious project to come to life.

2: Getting a community on board at an early stage as opposed to just a few has a positive knock-on-effect in terms of promotion.

3: Discovered this towards end of latest round of ICO and need more time to convert some fiat to btc.

The more we support this project from the start as a community by making people aware of it and therefore increasing working capital (whilst the crowdfund is open) the higher chances it has of success.

I hear what you are saying, but there have been several ICO extensions already.

I assume XAI will be available on Bittrex or equivalent soon enough - so once more people understand the significance of the potential of this project more people can get on board.

Personally, I say we get this show on the road.  Wink

am i right that XAI will start as planned no matter if crowdfunding is successful or not?

I think the minimum is 25 BTC.

Not sure what happens if that is not reached.

Very surprised there are not more people jumping on board this project. Seems to be flying under the radar at the moment.  Shocked

Just want to make sure.  The coins are going to be released after release of Sapience AI which will be in about 3-6 months.  So in short we can expect to receive the coins in 3-6 months?

From the Sapience crowd funding page:

Quote
Sapience AIFX coins will be distributed between 24 to 72 hours after the end of the crowdfunding

400  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Help - I was hacked - 63.73 BTC - Blockchain.info secured by 2FA on: November 28, 2014, 02:55:09 PM
If you have a Keylogger on your computer the only thing that will stop unauthorised withdrawals is SMS 2fa - which I understand blockchain.info offers.

If you only have email 2fa the hacker just needs to wait until you login to your email service and they have the password. Then they wait until you log into your blockchain.info account and they have all they need. They could even delete the email from your email account after authorising the transaction.

Note, a keylogger will also give someone access to your local wallet passphrase too. It happened to someone I know and they lost a couple hundred thousand dollars worth. Keyloggers are very very dangerous.

What I am not sure about is if a malicious user gets your blockchain.info login details and you have SMS 2Fa activated can they still grab the private key. That would totally defy the purpose of SMS 2fa so I assume not but I am not sure.
