382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is TRON more centralized than Eth? on: November 19, 2022, 01:14:17 PM
Even though TRON has been facing a bearish momentum, a recent report indicates TRON, the total number of accounts increased to 120 Million. According to Coingecko TRON is the 16th largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.

Unfortunately, TRON has been accused of being a highly centralized network as it uses a PoS system. Given that, ETH has also become a centralized network right after the merge. Would you consider it more centralized than TRON? Compared to ETH, would TRON be a better investment?
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will CBDCs will impact Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2022, 10:35:31 AM

Short answer: little to no impact. CBDCs are just another representation of fiat.

Sure, but paper fiat cash is the most anonymous form of value you can find, whereas a CBDC is a representation of fiat paper cash that is fully trackable. So, with heavy regulation in place against cryptos won't this have a negative effect over Bitcoin?
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How will CBDCs will impact Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2022, 10:16:04 AM
CBDCs are coming, and they spell the end of the Private monetary policy as we know it. The list of countries adopting CBDCs is growing at a fast pace:

The Bahamas
Antigua and Barbuda
St. Kitts and Nevis
Monserrat
Dominica
Saint Lucia
St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Grenada
Nigeria

Governments have already understood the sheer potential of the Blockchain to impose Total monetary control.

So, how do you guys think will affect Bitcoin?
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 19, 2022, 09:36:55 AM
I do believe Napoli are welll positioned this year and they may become this year's league winners. Milan is not strong this year, so Napoli seems to have its way open. The team with the best attack in Serie A is Napoli, with 37 goals scored in 15 games.

The top scorer s Victor Osimhen of Napoli, with 9 goals scored in 11 games. So, I guess they are in the road to success.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential scam.. need help please on: November 18, 2022, 09:55:25 PM
So about a week ago someone sent something to my coinbase wallet ethereum address via the polygon network. I got a message saying i had received 10 cookies. I was confused so i went into my wallet. Things immediately felt a little different. There was a different wallet picture in the corner that said wallet one. The app asked me for my code in weird spots. I never put my code in. I could bypass it with the back button. There they were, 10 cookies sitting in my wallet. Not sure what i should do with them, or even what they are. Not even really sure if their malicious or not. Just weird. I guess i could send them back to the sender. Im not really concerned about my funds at this point. Im more concerned that something like this can happen to an address without fault of the owner. You dont have to click a link,  they just show up. Are all ethereum based addresses at risk? Suggestions or any insight into this would be helpful. This exceeds my scope of computer knowledge. Thank you in advance computer ninjas

The network is overrun by spam tokens. I also have lots of them and do not even bother to check what they are. In your case, the "different wallet picture in the corner" asking you for a code could have been a way of getting your code and eventually leading your wallet to be drained. So, sending the token back to its owner could trigger the same reaction.

The best course of action with any unwanted tokens appearing in your wallet is to simply ignore it.

Anyway, here you can find 5 simple tips to identify spam\scam Tokens!
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good days to bitcoin will be back soon. on: November 18, 2022, 06:30:35 PM
Of course that better days for Bitcoin are bound to come. Bear markets come and go and Bitcoin always stays stronger. Now with the centralization wreacking havoc among shitty altcoins, Bitcoin will end up collecting all the perks that will come with it.

While shit coins have their days counted, for Bitcoin, the ride is just beginning.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lottery's defense to not paying a huge winning. on: November 18, 2022, 02:57:53 PM

The question is ?
What do you really think of the lottery company and is there any chance for them to winning the case and not paying the winner?

thing is, if they say the game reports and registering is missing this should be their own responsibility as this is a thing that only the site can manage and that they should be lyable for any mistake and the winnings amount should be paid to the player with no questions asked. If they are trying to get away with it, they are simply trying to scam the player.
389  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk want to buy bitcointalk on: November 18, 2022, 08:56:27 AM
why the hell would Musk want to buy a forum that would bring him no financial gains? Moreover, do you actually think that the guys running the forum would allow it? The forum is driven by people who want to pass along everything that Bitcoin represents, and it is not centralization which would be what would happen in case Elon Musk boought the forum.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 17, 2022, 11:27:39 PM
According to a report conducted by BCA Research, published in The Most Important Of All Unimportant Forecasts 2nd Edition: 2022 FIFA World Cup Argentina has won four of their five World Cup qualifiers, scoring with a success rate of 77% which makes the country's squad one of the favourite teams.

This may be an important clue for someone who is bidding for the Cup winner.

391  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: November 17, 2022, 06:35:28 PM
There were so many users that did not want to give KYC to Grant Thornton therefore their funds will never be returned to them. Having said that they would prefer if those funds were recovered to be distributed between the victims but there are no assurances anything like that will ever happen.

Does anybody know approximately how much of the recovered funds have been taken by Grant Thornton as payments for their services and to cover their expenses while they investigate?

Yes, it seems to me that this will continue for a very long period, users waiting for the return of their crypto assets have nothing left but to go through all the stages step by step and formally until the moment of the agreement, it may take forever, but the reports of the liquidators look beautiful, in five months it will be four years since the hack of the exchange.

It is not just the KYC, they are asking users for old information that they will not be able to access such as the number of X tokens you had at the moment the exchange went down. I hqad about .25 BTC in cryptos overthere and I fear I'll never be seing it again.
392  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: STAKE.COM IS SCAM! STOLE BIG DEPOSIT! BE CAREFUL on: November 17, 2022, 08:18:12 AM
cmon man, Stake is a serious company. If they are asking your for verification and the process is not finishing it means that there is something wrong withthe documents you are providing.

Besides, since you've deposited that kind of amount it is normal for them to request ID as they need to knmow the origins of the funds due to compliance issues.
393  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 16, 2022, 09:53:17 PM
Halloween is now over. Perhaps some of you participated in tournaments from iGaming providers. Black Friday is next on the list.
As it is no longer associated solely with marketing campaigns of offline and online retailers, bookmakers and casinos actively support the November fever too.
They offer players FS from providers and various promo activities  from the platforms themselves.
Question - are you expecting exclusive promo offerings on the Black Friday?

Other than the Halloween and Black Friday, we will have Christmas and New Year's Celebration. This is when we can find the best casino promotions. All the casinos usually try to outrun competitors by offering the best promotions. This means that this is basically the best time to try out a new casino.

You can check out cryptomaniaks to check the best updated promotions
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New technologies are going to replace every existing method✍️ on: November 16, 2022, 09:45:05 PM
Aptos seems to be something that can be trusted and a good bet. I cannot say the same about Solana. Even though the project is older, it has had some messy issues which that seem it is still not completely addressed. This increases the chances of seeing it at a halt once again very soon.

As for Aptos, it looks like they have it all sorted and have presented a good alternative. Unfortunately, I've missed the Aptos Airdrop and had to buy a few, so I'm hopeful it will succeed
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 16, 2022, 06:38:03 PM
Despite all of the drama with FTX:

-Apple pay added USDC support
providing  an easy on-ramp for 500mil+
-Gaming juggernauts like Riot games are building in web 3.
-Billion dollar brands are incoming to the space.

Crypto is here to stay.

Gentleman, adoption is starting to lift off!

Despite several unfortunate news along the years it is fantastic to see that Bitcoin is still conquering. Yes, big companies are starting to get in and more are bound to come.
Latest great news as to do with Shell saying it is developing new mining energy solutions for Bitcoin, which is huge news.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shell, enters Bitcoin mining and sponsors Bitcoin conferences on: November 16, 2022, 06:31:33 PM
this is truly excellent news! 5 years ago this would be unthinkable. It is only proof that Bitcoin is gaining streght and new solutions for mining will start appearing fom the companies that we would never be waiting for.

I hope that after shell other energy companies will follow.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 16, 2022, 02:59:14 PM
This year I'm vouching for Barcelona. Madrid has been had to hand but I do believe that Barcelona will manage the remaining matches better and end up winning the competition.

Of course that Madrid can be surprising as always so, at this points all chances are on the table, but my bet is going for Barcelona this year.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: November 16, 2022, 02:55:23 PM
I am not a fan of martingale system of gambling I had tried it once and ended up with a streak of losses, I am inclined to soccer betting thus I analyzed matches place an accumulated bet usually with small odd to minimize my risk, I had never seen a confirmed gambling strategy that work perfectly, it's up to every individual gamblers to use their own initiative and adopt a strict money management to have an edge over the bookies, gambling is like a fun to me because of the passion I have in soccer bettings which enable me to predict matches aside that type of betting I don't involve or participate any other form of gambling.

I tend to bet on football betting, but I don't rule out the possibility that I play on luck-based types of bets. this depends on the situation, and my mood when I want to bet. not all of them only bet on this type of football bet, it's not uncommon for me to play other games. slots, roulette, blackjack or baccarat. depending on my mood at the time, or while waiting for the football match to start.

talking about the martingale technique, or whatever type of technique and strategy it is, it is basically legal to use this technique.  but in my opinion, one needs experience and not always fold the bet every round. if it is done, then, as you say. consecutive defeats would be inevitable.
so basically the martingale technique doesn't always have to be applied to every round, you can combine it in other ways.
in essence, no technique is truly effective. so the important point is, one must know when to stop and when to start again and the most decisive factor is luck.

Even if you apply good techniques, luck will always be a part of the equation. Thing is, you can turn the equation into a system and isolate the luck factor in one of the equations while trying to bring all the accountable factors on to the first part of the equation. If you do that, you will be able to use a technique coupled with other techniques that will surely be profitable if you know how to use it.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will digital dollar be a threat to bitcoin? on: November 16, 2022, 08:11:59 AM
we all know that once CBDCs come into play the crypto landscape will be hugelly affected. They are already targeting POW blockchains and that is how they will start. They will turn POW blockchains illigal and push most of them to POS. BTC will have to resist or else....
400  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ Football Injuries and Injury Updates! on: November 15, 2022, 10:31:31 PM
Case by case, here is the situation for players who are injured and who are potentially summoned by PORTUGAL.

Pepe: The player suffered a left knee sprain with damage to the internal collateral ligament, in early October. The injury should heal within four to six weeks. At this point, he's done just over a week and a half after the injury. In this way, the end of Pepe's recovery should hit close to the date of the squad announcement.

Nuno Mendes: injured on October 5th, the player had a muscle problem and was out of a few games. In the clinical bulletin, Nuno Mendes continues to treat pain in his left hamstrings. The return date is not clear, as the defender has already missed three games since then

Danilo: Last Sunday, the center/midfielder injured himself. The player is still inde observation.

Diogo Jota:The winger was taken off on a stretcher in the final moments of the game on Sunday. Diogo will be examined in the next few hours to find out the extent and severity of the injury.

Renato Sanches: Of this handful full of doubts, the case of the midfielder must be, for now, the least alarming. The midfielder recovered from an adductor injury in September, returned to action on 1 October against Nice, but only played 15 minutes. Since then he has not played, but he was on the bench against Marseille this Sunday. He's recovered, but he didn't come in and, therefore, the big question is to see how he is doing when he returns to compete.

Hope you guys consider this as useful information
