I have seen the Storj coin traded in Poloniex and Bittrex. I assumed there was already working network and a blockchain already running it. My question is about the pricing. Will the protocol always price the fees in US dollars? How will it adjust the fees during the time when there is high volatility in the market?
Yes SJCX is the first token (Counterparty-based) while STORJ is the new token (Ethereum-based). The first is already available on exchanges the second will replace the existing token after the swap. Best to price the storage fees in USD because first that's what customers understand better, second because doesn't matter if coin volatility is high, you'll still pay the same amount in USD. If you mean the transaction fees for sending and receiving the new token, I believe Ethereum is faster and cheaper than Bitcoin right now so it will actually benefit Storj and holders. |

Are the 3 coins going to be the lowest numbers in the series independently on how many are created?
A51, A52, A53... will there be A01, A02, etc, released at a later date? Currently no plans to auction coins from the potential future batches, but if we did, I can guarantee the serials won't be lower than the ones in this auction. Also I'd like to additionally note that there is a possibility of a slight design change in the potential future batches. The backside texts of the coin are not aligned compared to the frontside texts (this can be seen from the hologram pic). This can be fixed according to the mint and in that case it would likely make the first batch even more unique. Thanks for letting us know! I'll see how the auction goes. |
