They are not a licensed bank and they have never mentioned that they are a licensed bank.

They are in fact a licensed small payment institution registered with Czech National Bank.

394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Devcoin Girl on: May 29, 2013, 04:26:53 PM
To each his own...but for what its worth, these videos are kinda lame mate. I suppose in the spirit of free creation that DVC is trying to promote I should accept them at face value. Unfortunately I don't think they really relate to DVC in a positive light, just my opinion though.

Devcoin didn't make this happen.
She made the first video randomly 3 weeks ago, then I sent her a message and we started talking about Devcoin (like the church of development and stuff) and now she made another one.

And why was it ok when the title of the thread (a thread someone else made) was "Devcoin $10+ Boobs" (people literally posted saying they were buying coins because of it). But I made one called "Devcoin girl" with 1 extra video and suddenly it's a problem.

You sure they didn't just hire someone off fiver.
395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Liberty Reserve shutdown is a boost for Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2013, 02:34:27 PM
They were linked to child porn among others, I guess this will be something totally unacceptable to the public.
Well HSBC and others was done for similar if not the same things but yet do their customers give a shit.

...if they are guilty of something bad enough, maybe it is good that they are stopped?
They are guilty of NOT being Obedient Snitches.
A grave sin in the eyes of the Government and some commenters on this thread...
Exactly

399  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Liberty Reserve the popular digital currency got shut down by the authorities on: May 26, 2013, 07:41:25 PM
It will be fun to watch as Bitcoin businesses began scrambling to distance themselves from U.S. citizens. The current examples like SatoshiDice are only the beginning. I don't think it will be long before many businesses realize that it's just not worth it to pick on the biggest bully in the schoolyard.

Unfortunate but true, many offshore banks, payment processors, e-currencies are now refusing to serve US customers.
It won't be long before US citizens are financially locked out of doing business with non US based financial companies.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] Full Create Your Own Cryptocoin Guide on: May 26, 2013, 04:36:10 PM
Post here if you are interested in a guide to creating your own cryptocurrency. No programming, git, etc experience needed. Probably won't be free.

will it include a guide on how to compile it for windows? this seems the bit that most get stuck at.

Indeed.
