381  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin holders will have to pay their tax? on: November 21, 2018, 06:28:59 PM
Not a very good news if that happens. As of this posting the market for bitcoin have gone very low and we don't know it it could ever go up again like the last time it did peak on its all time high. If taxes will be imposed what else could the investors get in return if a drop like this could occur? It is really a big matter to look and consider as of this point in time.
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you HODL because you believe the price will go up? Or are you lost too much? on: November 20, 2018, 08:21:13 PM
Well I did lose around 75% of my money while holding it. It was kind of hard to accept because there too much uncertainty with the current status of cryptocurrency. The recent drop causes a lot of mix reactions and FUD. I am still hoping though dor the price to go up.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell your BitcoinABC or hold on to it? on: November 19, 2018, 11:10:50 PM
Every coin becomes useless for any purpose if we don't see how it is utilized by their consumers. Holding it wouldn't be good or may not be of importance if it isn't really been moving with actual usage like if the volume goes up because many are just holding it waiting for the price to move up. These will result in sudden dumping. How are we going to earn if all of us are doing just the same? So I think it is just better not to hold any coin and do more trading instead.
384  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money and bitcoins do you need to influence the price? on: November 19, 2018, 02:10:17 PM
This would be very big I guess, only whales can probably do this in an instant. One good example of dumping that change the value was that of MT. Gox where the value was quite big to really create a change in price and cause a stir among investors that results in further more dumping of coins. I think collectively if people would have choosen the same option of holding or dumping the coin then it is also quite possible but this couldn't happen so easily.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: November 19, 2018, 08:28:32 AM
I would agree on the authors comments. It is true that it won't get us nowhere if we will all be holding coins and doing nothing for it. If all of the investors holds it for the purpose of waiting for the right time to moon, certainly if this idea is absolutely true to all, then many will be murmuring loses since those who have been holding at the bottom will sell their coins and gain from those who have made the price of coins look good or higher. This is the reason why there is a lot of dumping when people understands that this is happening in the market right now due to less actual usage of the coin.
386  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic function of Bitcoin on: November 19, 2018, 02:27:16 AM
There are so many ways bitcoin can be used aside from its main purpose of using it as a payment system. It can be used as a means to transfer money and or use it as if a real currency to buy food and other supplies. Yet even with all these functions bitcoin was unable to go up in value and started to move down. This is simply because the rise in value was almost artificial due to a sudden rise among investors holding the coin without a real purpose. Due to an unfavorable market people started dropping their interest as they are driven by too many FUDs and failure of bitcoin price to move up.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: November 18, 2018, 11:55:02 PM
Cryptocurrency is still not so stable and still depends on fiat and losing fiat would mean disaster to the system. Should cryptocurrency totally replace fiat then it could happen that regulation would now be possible. Anonymity would probably be affected which I think is not really going to happen for now. So that I would say and think that harmonization would be the only be the best thing to do.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: Is President Trump good or bad for the economy? on: November 18, 2018, 06:01:27 PM
I believe trump is doing his best with the intelligent people behind him analyzing the economy. I do always consider such decision involving complexity, like that of a country's economy is not a decision of one man alone but that of the many professionals involved in the process of protecting the country from an economic problem or loss.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: November 18, 2018, 03:38:08 PM
The socio-economic problems are caused by so many factors from from simple social status to complicated political situations that have caused a lot of change or influence to the currenct situations all over the world. I believe that cryptocurrency may have improve some lives but not all. The world is so big and cryptocurrency haven't conquered as much so that for now it wouldn't be generally correct but selectively true.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters are not beggars on: November 18, 2018, 10:17:46 AM
The bounty hunters have the right to ask or claim what they are promised of. Most are abused by fake or a poorly managed project that in the end gives very little to nothing at all. Of course we cannot force them to pay if they failed but atleast their should be justice. I have joined many times and was paid too little that seems not justified at all since it cost me a lot of time, resources like electiricity and other related expenses. They should as well look at the balance between their responsibilities towards us and their success.
391  Economy / Economics / Re: Money laundering tools on: November 17, 2018, 11:28:27 AM
That depends on you. If you see it as a money laundering tool then it is your opinion. If that is how useful it is to you then may it is indeed. Will bitcoin serve another purpose beyond your plain reasoning of it? Well certainly it can be used in many ways without thinking about how it can just be used as a money laundering tool. Consider a knife in the kitchen that is used to cut vegetables, it is really harmless yet if you do use it for crime then it can be a tool for that. You can create utilities if your really wanted to but if your thinking limits you to that idea then it is as you said.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Opens Doors for Cryptocurrency on: November 17, 2018, 03:38:09 AM
The opening of the doors to cryptocurrency is a good action but applying  higher tax rates may not be so beneficial to the investors and maybe to products where the coins are used because it will certainly add to their prices or values. There must be better opportunities for investments to allow more investors to come in and the use of cryptocurrency will be best appreciated by businessmen and clients. This scenario might just be able to solve the bearish market that we have.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your destiny is in your hands on: November 17, 2018, 02:36:17 AM
Definitely it is in your hands that your fortune is to build upon. Sometimes it is luck that will give you the opportunity of getting rich but more often than not it is your great analysis and plans that will bring you where ever you want to be in the future. Cryptocurrency is unpredictable so keep your strong will and determination to accomplish something otherwise it will be the opposite. Remember strategies and skills matters most.
394  Economy / Economics / Re: Speculation on BTC on: November 16, 2018, 11:33:49 PM
Nice words to give people a relief and this will certainly help boost the confidence of the people in investing on bitcoin. It will help other people as well to be more confident with their money. Yet the reality is as always just the same. Words are still words and you will never get to see any assurance correct until you will see it for yourself.
395  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: November 16, 2018, 05:37:09 PM
Cryptocurrency like bitcoin can easily be transferred or passed on to anybody anonymously and given this idea and in connection, it could be that any amount of money can be sent anywhere and be replaced anywhere through exchanges. This makes money more mobile and if it happens that your bitcoin gets hacked any amount transferred can be considered a loss to the economy and therefore could create economic problems especially if transfer is allowed easily, that is why any! government is really trying to limit or even ban it.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seling or holding your altcoin ? on: November 15, 2018, 01:56:13 PM
I have made a decision after I lost around half of the money I had invested on my altcoin. In this unfavorable market today it seems almost hope is gone. But I am not giving yet I am ready whatever happens and I will just wait for maybe five years to see if something is really going to go up again. Sad but cryptocurrency is really unpredictable and it was not a good experience to lose but I did learn my lesson.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can cryptocurrency succeed? on: November 15, 2018, 01:11:14 AM
Cryptocurrency is considered a success already. Considering that the system had been used to do payments and other transactions and that there are already consumers of their respective services or products, we can already say it has succeeded already. We do know that there are problems encounterred by cryptocurrency but it did not go as much as to disable it or throw the entire system into its own destruction. It indeed survive for so many years since then and still it keeps popping up like mushrooms.
398  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks must adopt new technologies to survive an ongoing “extinction phase” on: November 14, 2018, 05:51:46 PM
This could be true and I may agree on this but to say it as absolute is a big no for me. Banks had been there since the old times and with the advent of computers and online transactions it has speed up the process yet transactions that are manual still occur on any bank on any given time, so I believe that changes are necessary but the old ways could still remain.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Target Market of Bitcoin on: November 14, 2018, 01:35:37 PM
It is of course us, the consumers of products. Bitcoin was developed as a payments system so that using bitcoin as a means to purchase a product you sell online could be just one of these examples of using bitcoin. There are other things you can do with bitcoin. Since it is a form of a digital currency or money you can use it with the exchanges to transfer money from one location to another.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was made by CIA or NSA on: November 14, 2018, 08:33:44 AM
How useful would it be to use bitcoin for surveillance or spying? Well I just think this is just a misinformation or misleading thoughts that could have gone wild. If I am the CIA or NSA I would rather choose a different method of looking through other countries movements. Not this because the whole network is very much complicated to trace transactions and the anonymity is part of bitcoin which means we can never really know who really is the person doing the transaction. And granting if it would be so easy to get the information, what will they get out of bitcoin transactions and how will they manage to look at every individuals account? If this is the method then it isn't worth I'd rather use my satellites better than spying over the cryptocurrency market.
