they add every day dozens of new coins, how come EBT has already ~50k blocks mined, and still dev insist to release it on openex or pmtocoins where there is almost no trading?
Please understand that coins do not get the choice of what exchanges they are added to and I also see no reason to prevent exchanges from adding the coin, the more eyes on it the better. It will take time to get on larger exchanges, have faith. If anyone knows contacts at any of the exchanges and would like to help us out please feel free to shoot us a PM. Quark has been rock solid while most of the other altcoins fluctuated up & down like the tidal waves.
But some of the coins have also just gone up , like the previous mentioned coin , while quark sat at the same price. I just feel the need to rub it  )) I'm perfectly happy with quark being stable. It's not meant to be a pump and dump, it's meant to be an alternative currency. Some price jump might be nice, but hell BTC was under $1 for nearly 2 years. Now it's being taken seriously. Because a lot of people just want to pump and dump or trade up to BTC...I think the secret is to accumulate wait till it's scarce, then have the media blow it up and start having online markets for goods that accept it. If you're just in to trade up to BTC that's fine, but I hope to see us able to use it for goods/services one day. When will people realize, "coining" a coin after something popular is short term only (Coinye, Cage, Fry, Firefly) and you're just asking for legal action against the crypto community and ultimately devaluing crypto currency as a legitimate store of value in the long run.
This is a pump and dump. No offense to the devs, but you've already stated the inspiration was anime/one piece. Barring any legal action that could kill the coin, if I run a comic shop it might be good for short term promotions, but if I'm a corporate accountant, car dealership, divorce lawyer, I'm not going to wish to be paid in a currency based on what I might consider a teenagers cartoon.
People need to stop making catch phrase coins every week and put serious development into moving the crypto market from a speculative, volatile pump and dump and move it into the direction of a serious, legitimate means of value for conducting business transactions.
Otherwise we'll keep mining new coins, trading up to BTC and then letting them fall by the wayside.

I have a friend who works for another charity, but they see this as a scam and have no interest so no luck there. I had an idea for another coin, where there's a shopping site that sells vegetable seeds for home gardens that accepts only crypto as payment...part of the crypto proceeds go to local food banks, what you grow from what you buy you also donate part of the food, full cycle. Just an idea, no idea how to implement it. |

Unfortunately I wasted days of hash on Metacoin and MinCoin (er...MaxCoin) plus I still feel the need to mine QRK proper. Props to whoever runs it. Already switched to fairquark for cpu mining. I mined and mined and mined this in the beginning. Wound up with 3 coins, broken pools, not response. In less time I've managed to mine 30,000+ fairquarks and there's a market on the way, plus exchanges.
Shame cause I thought this one had more potential.

Very good article for POS. Basically like earning interest on a savings/checking account for leaving funds in there. Any coin I mine that has POS/POW I add a line in my .conf file reservebalance=x (with x being 30% of my balance). I never move more than 30% back and forth between exchanges, simply because I don't trust them. Exchanges are great for trading up, but lets face it, they're un-regulated, un-documented, just a guy on a site. Exchanges have been hacked, downed, same with pools (I lost 230,000 DOGE when doge.cryptopool.it dissappeared). I like my local wallet and multiple backups. So basically 30% of my balance is always available for POS interest after 30 days. Makes for a few extra coins coming in when mining. The drawback to this...since your wallet is open on your PC and it's not encypted or locked you are susceptible to hijacking. I can remote hijack your PC, withdraw from your wallet and send to my wallet. Of course I can also walk up to your house, disable your vehicle alarm and steal your car. Nothing is 100% sure except death. Find the balance between being comfortable earning more coins and keeping your local wallet secure. My BTC LTC and QRK wallets are encrypted, but weaker coins I leave open for POS until I either dump or feel like they're keepers for the long run. |

Established =)))) that made me laugh. Those coins are considered established? With only the dev left holding the flag , or some guy that forget when to dump? Ok true...I wouldn't call them "established"...but they have been around longer, are on major exchanges already, have larger user bases, and are still profitable either via mining or buying low and selling high. I've made more from freaking AMC of all the dead crap coins than any other...hell even their website is just a redirect to amazon now. I still like FRQ. Wish we could get paper wallets, and more importantly either people dumping coins on ebay for it or an online market for goods being sold for FRQ. |

OMG... a half finished coin on the market, dev leaves after a week.
If you don't know how to build a car, don't build one and put it on the market.
If you don't know the first thing about toilets (except maybe how to flush) don't offer plumbing services.
Trying to start a coin when you don't know what you're doing wastes peoples time and hashes, and makes they crypto market look bad in general.

2nd worse...you haven't checked out GaltCoin. Awesome idea, horrible start. Even dev2 had to apologize for dev1. I have an idea I'd like to implement for EBT, a shopping site where you can buy plant/vegetable seeds for ebt, keeping with the whole foodstamp theme. Portions of the sites proceeds get donated to local foodbanks. I was thinking something simple, like just a WP site with a woocommerce plugin. Problem is I'm super lazy and have adult A.D.D. so about 0.000578% of my ideas come to fruition. Still I think it's a great idea. |
