The 1.43 carat opal actually starts a little bit later- about 40 minutes after the first two start.  Smiley

Oh, and yes- these will be shipped to the winning bidder via registered mail so you will be able to track at.  As soon as we ship a stone out, we enter the tracking number in eBay so if you go to your account you will be able to see it as the winning bidder.

Hi Fruitsbasket!  They will start in 6 hours and 44 minutes.  All three opals will open at only 19.99USD.  Put in a bid- you might even win for that amount!  Good luck.

I've just listed an extraordinarily rare gemstone on eBay.  Please take a look at this bi-color dravite tourmaline from Kenya's Coast Province:

I have a new stone going up soon but I wanted to give the bitcoiners here a heads-up.  This is smoke-treated Ethiopian Welo opal and it is intended to simulate untreated Australian black opal but cost a whole lot less.  Keep in mind that this is natural opal that was mined from the earth in the Welo mining region of Ethiopia but it was smoke-treated to create a beautiful contrast between the flashes of color and the dark body color.  Here is the sneak-preview of the videos in the listings that will start later today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk9OCA36PB4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHI9pKpL_No

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlK8sFq0ues

These are fairly inexpensive stones and they are all being listed with FREE shipping.

These three opals will list between 8 and 9PM eBay time and you will be able to see them in our store at this link:

Keep an eye on our listings because more and more of them are shipping for FREE.  Our customers have spoken and we have listened!

http://stores.ebay.com/Paragon-Universal-Trade

Today I just listed some really beautiful UNTREATED Ethiopian Welo opals, and very soon you will also see a new curiosity- Ethiopian smoke-treated opals.  If you haven't seen one before- wow, are they gorgeous!  They remind me of some of the most beautiful black opals from Australia, but these are not naturally black.  The body color is the result of smoke treatment.  They represent a good value because natural black opal is very, very expensive.  While these smoke-treated opals are natural opal, the dark body color is the result of treatment.

Let me show you a video of one that will be listed soon:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlK8sFq0ues

Be cautious when you are shopping on eBay!  Not all sellers are up-front with treatment.  If a seller were to market an opal like this as a natural Australian black opal and list it for a very high price, he might persuade someone to buy it.  That's not very nice!  Unfortunately, tricks like this are extremely common in the gemstone trade on eBay.  I discovered this many years ago when I was living in South Korea and teaching English, before I became a gemologist.  And I thought to myself- hmmm, what if a person moved to Thailand and listed stones for sale and just told the truth?  And it actually works.  Smiley  You can make money in this business without lying to people.  You can make money without selling treated stones as "untreated".  I don't own a Rolls Royce yet, so maybe I am doing it all wrong.  But I think Melanie and I will keep doing it this way!

Please keep an eye on our store!  Many new stones are coming, some items are on sale, and more and more of our auctions will offer free shipping.  As always if you win an auction you can pay me directly with bitcoin.  Some people are confused about how this works, but all you have to do is win the auction and let me know via message on this forum that you want to pay with bitcoin.  After payment is received I mark it paid on eBay and ship the stone directly to you.

Here is our store- please bookmark it and check back often:

http://stores.ebay.com/Paragon-Universal-Trade

If you are in the USA you can also pay for any eBay purchases with a personal check.  Of course if you wish you can use Paypal right on the eBay site and pay with a debit card, credit card, or via bank account debit.  The only hard part is figuring out which stone to buy!

We've just opened our new eBay store!  Watch closely over the next few days because more stones are coming and so is a fabulous shipping promotion!

http://stores.ebay.com/Paragon-Universal-Trade

Also there is a spectacular stone that has only a single bid and ends in two hours- please take a look at this amazing UNTREATED chrysoprase!  Unlike most chrysoprase this one is FACETED, not cabochon style.  Very unusual, and very high-quality:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNTREATED-faceted-chrysoprase-from-Australia-47-carats-WITH-VIDEO-/162149061112?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

My auctions are NO RESERVE- if you have the highest bid at the end YOU WIN THE STONE.  I don't have a secret "reserve price" like some eBay gemstone sellers do.  This is a risky proposition but we like it as it makes the auctions more exciting.

Of course as always, if you win on eBay you can pay with bitcoin- no problem at all!  Just send me a message on this forum, or via eBay after the auction and I would be happy to take your bitcoin payment.

I'm crying right now because a very special stone is getting NO love at all from the eBay crowd.  My wife and I spent about two hours going through a large batch of these strawberry quartz faceted stones (about three kilos worth- 15,000 carats) and found one really amazing stone.  Strawberry quartz is quartz that has inclusions of lepidocrocite that cast a red hue over the stone.  It's really beautiful and interesting stuff in my opinion, but usually it has a lot of black inclusions and very few red ones, so the effect is not that interesting.  We found one that has ONLY red inclusions and it's drop-dead gorgeous.  Please take a look and if you are inclined- put in a bid!  We started the auction very low for such high-quality material.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/162152835762?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

There is a video in that auction but I will paste it here as well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFhfNgzq5SA

If you win any of my eBay auctions it's never a problem to pay me with bitcoin.  Some people are under the impression that you MUST use paypal but that's not true at all.  You can win an auction over on eBay, and in my seller's dashboard I can mark it "PAID" and it's none of eBay's business how it got paid- cash in person, a check in the mail, or bitcoin.

There are other cool auctions and more will be listed this week too.  This link always has my current auctions:

If you would like to see my latest newsletter you can go here:

If you would like to be included in future mailings (I use Mailchimp so it's SUPER EASY to un-subscribe), just send me a message on this forum with your e-mail address and I will add you to the list.  I don't send them out crazy-often; sometimes months go by with nothing, and sometimes when I am doing a ton of eBay auctions I might send one out weekly or every-other week.
