decentralized anon market

you can put whatever you want to put on there.

Ya I just downloaded the wallet and it's syncing right now so I'm excited to check out this marketplace Smiley Do people use PGP keys to give addresses and such out for when ordering something off someone? I hope so because that would be the way to make sure that people listing "Not so Legal" products the security that they would like when dealing with people on there Smiley

There is an encrypted messaging system,  so you can communicate between buyer & seller.
And for transactions there is an escrow locking system - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032166.msg11397494#msg11397494

I have provided brief overview / summary on how to use SlingRoad:

Right now the market is empty, but categories will dynamically appear based on the listings. When a seller accepts a buy request, they create a multisig address and fund it with a security deposit equal to the item price. The buyer escrow locks and also funds it with the item price, then the seller can request payment and the buyer can pay, which creates a transaction that spends the multisig funds to the seller.

Development update and SlingRoad release:

We are pleased to announce that SlingRoad is now built and has been fully integrated into the updated wallet, which can be found here:

Windows – https://mega.co.nz/#!tQEGmYiQ!_r1gPW7Sk_coM6KS2Cf-cfUmWouej3Tp7Lx4yhpJlQQ
Linux – https://mega.co.nz/#!RBMSGRYC!_cuJ-hg18y3YUUmPG3w7mOB7q4vRxnGbYbpf5kxEd4k

As I mentioned before, this is all new code and to silence the critics, this is not a clone of Bitmarket’s marketplace. A clone of their marketplace would not be possible currently for Windows, as it only compatible for OSx for the time being. I reviewed their code and for inspiration and insight for the flow systems. We are very excited to deliver the first true decentralized market, and we will continue to develop new features for the marketplace, and invite the community to give their suggestions and feedback so we can continue to adapt and improve the technology. As long as the Sling community continues to show support for the project, I believe that we can develop this into something truly innovative and unique, and provide services and features that are both useful, and user friendly.

There are a number of developments for Sling that I have in mind to implement, and take the project a step further, but I also want the community’s thoughts, and wishes for what they would like to see implemented into the project. We believe that working with the community, and keeping an active line of communication will be the most effective way of guaranteeing we develop something unique and generally useful.

As a treat I have to post this .gif for some self-satisfaction, as it feels appropriate given the circumstances today! We will post an updated roadmap for what we will be releasing next SOON!!!

Not much on it yet, and there is some improvements to be made.. but it is operational.

Is it a TOR site or can you access it on the normal web?

Its in-wallet !

there's your "volume"  Roll Eyes

That does make sense,  as I've stated before; alts need to have more actual use value.

All we really need is one coin that combines and does better than what btc became initially famous with, there's a ton of money in "medicines" Wink

It does seem like some buying has returned,  and nice volume back to the alts.

ummm, what??  all alts volume sucks ass right now,

Are you blind?  in the top 7 coins listed on bittrex there's over 600 btc volume

How do you see that?  To me it only hurts customers...
Well I know that to withdraw BTC from my OkCoin account after I changed the withdrawl password they needed to speak with me on the phone to verify that I was the one whom had changed the password and even though it was a little bit of a pain in the ass it made me feel more secure about storing some of my BTC on their site! You need to understand that with Crypto they are trying to weed out the scammers and the thieves and by starting to require Identification they are doing so!! I mean it definitely will hurt customers that are trying to dodge out on tax claims and what not on their taxes but if we truly want Crypto to become mainstream and the majority of the world to adopt this way of living as a new standard for paying for items or what not you need to make the people feel secure on using the system.  I dunno that's just my opinion! I mean maybe Identification should only be necessary if you are trying to say remove 10 BTC or more from an account then that's understandable in my opinion because if you had 10 BTC lying in a Poloniex account and someone hacked your account and was able to remove it by just sending it to their address you would be pretty pissed off I bet right?

The thing is, we don't really need centralized exchanges.  As I described above,  escrow lock, software and technology can be authoritarians.  You can't cheat the way a decentralized program will handle things re. escrow locking.

Like I continuously try to explain to my parents and family on why Bitcoin and Altcoins will be the wave of the future and how people are paying for items in the future and all they think is that "It's a SCAM, It's a SCAM!!"

They also think its a scam because people have been brainwashed for centuries into thinking they can only do things a certain way (ie. use only gov't issued currency)

They've lost ability to think for themselves and no ability to place value in a system that doesn't need corrupt officials guiding them.

I just thought of something interesting,  in the light of poloniex and other exchanges starting to require ID's

- people could start putting up listings for btc on Slingroad,  and just trade back and forth without having to provide any ID !!

The seller would just have to send the btc outside of the Sling client to a btc address provided from the buyer.

When did places like poloniex start needing I.D to trade there?

They just announced that in order to withdraw a certain amount you have to identify yourself,  to comply with aml laws and such.
You can see the notice on the site.
Plus with their new margin trading, I guess you need ID for that also.

Hmmm well I guess in some reasoning that is a good thing for Crypto because it will make it harder for people to rob other people of their coins if they have them stashed on one of those sites Smiley

How do you see that?  To me it only hurts customers...

Hmm, that's strange I got much more with masternodes.
Maybe because I have more than one

Thank you for your work! When we have several times more nodes then there will be more people willing to test i2p i think
i msg'd icm to see if he could host an i2p node for us. or we could crowdfund a known one on a vps or something. like everything just need to know it works for the people who do want it, and dont want to fuss around looking for a solution that may/may not exist.
i will leave i2p wallet online for few hours for testing purposes. please add node to your crave.conf and reply here if you get connection. if testing is positive i will try to get i2p wallet on my vps running 24/7, still its pretty challenging for me because i am linux noob  Tongue

Code:
addnode=Ts0Z4tgWFyZ7Q1oiUQxdj~CT5iazrC3PoyzQA7NALVUITZqbIXxJD~BWRMdNYvE5TVQ11loYSR9owHV7lk6MJgJxOEoUpxTKn4xZyBKDbJ5OYwG3FWK2aEdSr-lvPGkJJdBlQkFVnxjFpRzlvzNDfkC1M8Fnp7CW8~EQ4WZYhdhk9rpfFfv8LfyHFAYDQ9hqRqMmlJLRZmGNXYLu5IY9HHe5mAc9PzhEUHsubEElK9yvlZzMoVcCeVK4E5qmwSdK9MFAb82kBrY~GiaHQcnvImnzPAu276cwzSYXcCZ9a5IU0ijKg5YQ7BsuNrezc16JGmVsLbYHoE10w6ic96J321EvYqGMKJ3Uxupyw3yhdcM00egPGZsaXi9JCCO7gC99EXDE-uTiyIEAG3DzW5oXtfvo3~1GBbBPLpeigEKHYELsYf7UCXl-mxyoiu59mPqJ7eF3gdxzJkAxOH-IwcS8UBjgubMjTeh6RmiZ2zTQuAQ38bJZGD2H9uGL4AjkDmykAAAAjVShRPv8MdvtrG4y7cEnpLZr9PIJgsr47dXOLRAFYw22imKVjEHa4SGMnwDVbMUdazFaOLshy9o9e-ZrHeVcem06wCJho~Nv2QmiO5XF23ngJ3QItTSt8415XrF0dKlQNM6yHJWP3W5hibuwRVaJHwK75gihmX05TZiomHDrkN0obb5aU2oA84cgxlZsJ0cPkKSR1DvA8UldYroXg5llQ6TCpA6ntkQ2FoLa0CnGYnF7hmgPti3drbvsUlAtBISIGK-k3Tkj3KrImlcLqgqjuwUD14UsS09Qb-c09bfsaNt1EH0FsuUeG~eFZY3Z0X7O82fTnR9tX3kqA23iZKAsHSzEAuN~Q-BUxAYA0wImwugw50mg

Hey, thanks for putting that node up,  I'll try to test mine later tonight if I can get around to it
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CRAVE 1st POS Masternodes | Dark Assets | I2P | Market =Embrace The Dark= on: May 18, 2015, 03:59:32 PM
so i tried out i2p. pretty easy to setup. download the software, click to run. it'll open a browser window with a welcome page and config options etc. you tell it to start service for a sam bridge. if you want to browse websites you have to tell your browser to route traffic through the i2p "router."

anoncoin has a website right on the i2p welcome page nice placement.

anyways after i2p router was running I opened craveqt told it to run i2p only i could see it had made an address for itself, and i restarted it.

since then nothing. I heard the sling guys were having trouble without i2p addnodes but havent heard any more about this. so i fired up slingqt the same.
without addnodes and 12 hours being open i can see a few tunnels having opened to the 2 clients but no active connections have been made nor any blockdata moved back and forth.

so is anyone using i2p or did you guys just ask for it for shits n giggles.

or maybe i need some other config in crave.conf..?

i dont really care about i2p but id like to be able to coach people if they need help and want to be able to know that people trying it in the future wont come onto a dead end fancy tech with no use case.

i2p is working,  and also for Sling there is an addnode you can use to get that working too..
I put it in the i2p guide link in my signature.  At the bottom of the guide you'll see the addnode (for Sling though)

For those wanting a video,  I learned a lot of the same concepts which can be applied here - from this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94O2NcOJyg0

That should help understand some of the process better, and including setting up multiple masternodes & updating daemons.

Silly question but i need to know.
Do i need VPS (i would use windows VPS) to run masternode? or can i run on my home computer?
Can someone clarified this?

You can run one on your home computer, but keep in mind you'll have to leave it running.
Unless you normally shut your computer off or something-- then obviously the node will go down.

Thanks for the answer
If node go down, will remain my SLINGs?

Yes there is the address where you sent the 7331 sling,  it stays there.
The node just will not be generating any incoming coins, if down.

So, When i want to shutdown my node, how can i withdraw my SLINGs and transfer to my wallet address?

You just send it from the masternode wallet / daemon,  before shutting it down.
