381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How the btc can be removed after user sent out already on: April 12, 2019, 08:49:04 PM
The only logical reason as to what happened is that the bitcoin sent to you by the other person has not reached is maximum blocks confirmation or there is traffic.
Sometimes the duration for it to Hit your wallet you should be rest assured that once a bitcoin is on your wallet it can't be taking out again by the sender
382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you want to help the forum? on: April 12, 2019, 08:18:38 PM
Helping the forum is the duty of everyone because it would be beneficial to all.
But helping the forum doesn't have to go with posts alone you cab help the forum by frowning on merit abuse, promoting scam project or inciting one, bastardising other member.
Being greedy also in terms of only wanting to gain from the forum without actually appreciating the forum or willing to help it
383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Security for Beginners on: April 12, 2019, 07:48:11 PM
You need to think before you block all advertising. Content producers rely on advertising revenue to reward them for their creations. If everybody blocked advertising, then it would be the end of much of the free Internet. You would have to pay to access content. This is already starting to happen, and the demonetising of many YouTube accounts is causing them to move to other platforms. This is not quite the same as ad blocking, but it has the same effect.
Well written.  Other than blocking adverts increasing the amount of fees to access the internet it also deprive the user of some informations or trends that he/she needed. Rather than blocking ads you can skip or ignore them if you not interested in them at that moment
384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block all suspicious email address on: April 12, 2019, 07:18:02 PM

There is sense in your contribution it's still all in the same line that is keeping your email safe. Well there is no harm in apply all the means necessary effectively.
And also one can keep a particular email for a specific purposes and try to have a small dairy as to what, where and time you sent your email address out
385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making cryptocurrency part of the basic level of education curriculum on: April 12, 2019, 06:47:22 PM
Thanks everyone for you contribution but the aim is not to impose it on my students but to make it a optional subject that I would handle myself. I would reach there parent or benefactors and try to rub minds with them and if the answer is yes then we could softly introduce it to them. For starters there alphabetic letter recitation would be made up of top crypto coin matching the letters.
386  Other / Beginners & Help / Block all suspicious email address on: April 12, 2019, 06:13:07 PM
We give out our email address most often either to register for one thing or the other or to partake in bounty airdrops, etc we really don't have full control of who or what has access to that information.

Not to long ago I got an email from an unknown email address sending me a link to verify my account am sure of not creating even the user name of the account is one which I don't remember imputing.

The verify you account and start earn airdrops would surly have entice me if I where to be a newbie with zero or minimal knowledge but that was not the case.
I quickly did the needful by first blocking the sender address and deleting the message

It's essential to always be careful with what you click or verify on your email no matter how genuine or enticing it looks ones you did not apply or register for it delete and block the sender
387  Other / Meta / Re: Red trust bullies on: April 11, 2019, 09:20:20 PM
With such a weird irrelevant name doesn't speak to good of you. Most people found wanting as to the issue of getting red tagged prefer to nag about how unfair the system is. But to understand this clearly they are numerous users here who sticks to the rules and abide by it and has no reason to get tagged or complain about it.
Why don't you try to see where you went wrong and weigh it without any being bias probably you would get the clearer picture
388  Other / Meta / Re: Solutions to send merits to good posts in Ignore Boards if don't unignore it on: April 11, 2019, 06:42:58 PM
Well the forum has giving every user the opinion is either you ignore the board or you un-ignore the board I think that's very much fair.
If you can find a good post from a board you ignored this just goes to show you that you where to quick to conclude and hit the ignore button.
I am not a fan of ignoring a board no matter what is going on that board. It really doesn't help users that still put in there effort there. Rather than. Ignoring a board you can just limit the amount of time you enter there.
389  Other / Beginners & Help / Making cryptocurrency part of the basic level of education curriculum on: April 11, 2019, 06:11:58 PM
From the part of the country am from basic and lower level of education are called primary and secondary school. This are the building time and foundation level of any student and is knowledge the get from here they can use to build there next level of education.

I know by now some higher level institution has already started lecturing about cryptocurrency.
But as a teacher by profession am passionate about passing any knowledge I earn to someone else.

Cryptocurrency seems to be something of the future so I would be wise to inculcate it into our young ones(leaders of tomorrow) now so it would not look strange to them.

I don't run the biggest school in my area in fact it's on a low budget. But am trying to find the simplest ways to put out cryptocurrency Knowledge to this kids.

I have laid my hands on some books
*blockchain revolution, the internet of money, cryptoasset, digital gold, and age of cryptocurrency  this books has been very helpful and being here on the forum has giving me a direction.

The system of education in my country is not top notch so this would not be easy to set up but am willing to go the mile.
I  am very open to opinion, advices and newbies would benefit from the advices.

390  Other / Meta / Re: Where to post giveaway thread? on: April 11, 2019, 07:01:16 AM

Do you mind explaining what venapi is this would for better understanding.
And one thing is for sure it's not a bounty

394  Other / Beginners & Help / Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move on: April 07, 2019, 06:00:27 PM
Well I would not have made this post not until this week I have a cryptocurrency community on social media(telegram) we doing my own bit to enlighten and empower those I can.
We tell them about cryptocurrency wallet and how they go about it well I made it clear to them never to screenshot there private keys but rather write it down and put it away in a place safe.

But it's has occurred more times where private keys where written, sent and saved on some of my students emails...

Well this has huge consequences. I would want to reach out to the noobs never improvise instructions are instructions when creating a wallet you are told to write your private keys down(not on email or on your device).
Your email can not key your private key safe it's still could be hacked and the information collected.

It's basic instructions and rules when over looked causes damages.
395  Other / Meta / Re: Asking The Mods Here For Help. Member moitures Constantly Spamming (Please Ban) on: April 05, 2019, 09:30:21 PM
From this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5122954.msg50248798#msg50248798 from you above post the OP reputation was questioned on a comment and he has some real deal of negative tags.
But I would not say he is wrong by posting sales advert on the section he did it.
Well the manner in which it was carried out is quite unbecoming of a genuine person.
You could also take your plea here

396  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's smerit(sendable merit) not kmerit(keepable merit) on: April 05, 2019, 09:05:41 PM
We already have a similar post like this done before yours.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5126778.0
Well go to know it's been discussed before but the menace is still there and it important we discus about it. Smerit should not be completely lock away in a safe. There are well deserving post that could benefit from it and get encourage to strive hard with there subsequent posts
397  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society is knowledgeable but not wise. on: April 04, 2019, 09:00:40 PM
Well just like the human being has a higher tendency to do what we are not to.
Well it only takes a strong and determined will to do the right thing. Most times the right thing are boring, uncool etc
Using your example.. Fast driving kill but people still engage in it.....  Well people get aroused or feel it's fun to accelerate fast.
Drinking alcohol is bad.... But people enjoys the intoxication...

All this are a thing of the mind. It's what you feed you mind it's gives you back in return. If an individual can take time to work on his/her mind developing to try to do what's right even if the urge to go the other way is there.
Still put in effort join a group that has same vision. Appreciate nature and the superficial being.
And am sure you would be a step closer to be knowledgeable and wise as well
398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's smerit(sendable merit) not kmerit(keepable merit) on: April 04, 2019, 09:06:11 AM

Well nice to understand better how the maths of smerit during the airdropped merit era was calculated.
But the point still remains many people has negative intention about merit(selling it e.t.c) so they decided to accumulate it.

I don't see the feasible explanation about saying that it hard to see a meritable post in the forum(my own thoughts though) If you scout around you sure would see.
Some try to give merit to people they are familiar with or give it to people they know they might get it back in return. But not to stress this any further I would conclude that merit awarding should be seen as a selfless act and only that way can you be able to give out merit to someone you don't know for the benefit of forum
399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do this if you don't to be dragged to different telegram ICOs on: April 04, 2019, 06:25:56 AM
Truth be told it would be rear or impossible for a genuine project to add you up with out your consent. Telegram is a hub for scammers they are daily scouting for prospective victim.
Even if you set your privacy to prevent being added into any group your defence doesn't stop there even in a genuine group you can still be defrauded by members.
Always be security conscious and do the needful without hesitation... Block and report spam

400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's smerit(sendable merit) not kmerit(keepable merit) on: April 03, 2019, 09:40:39 PM

Also Forum users have right to keep their sMerits. There are no point to do that, but you simply can't force users to spend their sMerits.
And it's not only problem of low ranked members. There are thousands of higher ranked members who haven't even spent any of their airdropped sMerits, despite that more than a year passed since release of Merit system. And then people are complaining that's difficult to get erit, merit sources aren't giving out enough merits and etc.
As a high ranked member, I also blame myself for not giving out enough sMerits. Sometimes I just too lazy to do that, I know, it's bad. Now I have more than enough sMerits available, I should spend it more actively...
Correct me if am wrong I don't think smerit where attached to air dropped merit

Well if you where giving it's only right to give it out.  And am not forcing anyone(even if I where it would still not make some to do so)  am just raising awareness some members don't do it deliberately but have not really been drawn to this attention.
Well I hope the message is passed and not twisted. Spending smerit is making the purpose to which it was created working. And the ecosystem of the forum would benefit immensely.

PS. Avoid abusing merit
