381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Linea Voyager Quest Discussion on: July 07, 2023, 10:40:59 AM
Although beneficial for their project to have more interactions because of the gas fees, it seems fair for them to introduce the First Class Linea citizenship to reduce Sybil accounts. I just hope every Layer 1, 2, 3, etc., would do the same due to the Sybil issue.

There are many factors that your wallet could get labeled as Sybil because of having multi-accounts, not doing transactions in other chains, etc.

I started on the Week 5 of their campaign (stupid of me not aware of Linea's campaign in Galxe back then). I finished almost all points from Weeks 5 to 9 (missed one task on Week 7 which I am not eligible to mint that NFT due to not engaging in either the Bridge or NFT week.

I've spent almost 30 Linea ETH just to finish all 425 points of their Week 8 quests, which I find it the most difficult and time consuming of them all.

Much better to have one wallet alone but also very important for it not to be hacked by always double or triple check everything before proceeding.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to the market today? on: July 07, 2023, 03:44:20 AM
i was surprised to see the market today, everything fell in a short time, bitcoin fell around $1000 very fast and looking at coinmarketcap, all coins are red.  a few days ago bitcoin rose slowly, but today was very surprising. What happen today? Roll Eyes

It's just another day of "correction" as you cannot predict when will it be exactly happening.

Looks like the BTC bulls cannot keep up to sustain a certain range which results for the market to go down a bit.

As of today, we are still in the bear market so these mini bull runs are just short term only. We just don't know when will the market go up again. It's unpredictable.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A portion of my clothing store's weekly profit is invested in Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 05:53:16 PM
I have a small cloth shop. Currently everything in my own country is very expensive, so we are facing many problems in our life. The shop I have used to sell well. But now due to the increase in price, there are not as many customers or sales as before. Again. On top of that I have to pay rent for the shop which has become a bit difficult for me. After entering this platform I got to know Bitcoin. Then after browsing many places I realized that I can earn money by investing in Bitcoin. So I want to invest in Bitcoin. So I have my weekly I decided to invest in bitcoin from a profit share. I think I made the right decision. I hope that I can use my bitcoin profit for other purposes. Hope you guys can help me with good advice.

If you are aware and ready to fully acknowledge the risks due to being unpredictable and prone to market volatility, then I guess it's ideal for long-term investment.

It's like you are doing DCA (dollar-cost averaging) with Bitcoin by committing a portion of your clothing store's profit every week. As long you can afford to lose that amount weekly, then you have no problem with it even if the price is going down.

BTC and ETH are good for long-term while the rest of the altcoins are only good for short and mid-term.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: July 06, 2023, 05:43:51 PM
Beside these scam airdrops , there are some airdrops which gave me a lot of money, as I can say about the Maverick that was previously launched and give users some profit, and also Arbitrum Airdrop, and recently Optimism gives its users a massive airdrop. So, scammers are everywhere, we should take care along with doing any airdrop.
these were the best airdrops in recent times and many other projects really wanted to repeat their success but they didn't succeed. Over the past half a year, I can’t remember at least one interesting and profitable drop. So far, one disappointment even in those projects that seemed to generously reward their users.
Yes, ARB and Optimism provide airdrops that make their users happy with what they have tried to carry out the tasks given in each phase, I am also still hunting for airdrops to this day, and indeed there are lots of scam projects, if we are not good at finding potential projects it is very risky.
Moreover, nowadays airdrops need capital to participate in their airdrop events, so you have to be more careful in choosing projects.
BTW, did you take part in the airdrop event offered by the zkSync network developer? lots of people speculated that this event had crazier prizes, because there weren't that many who took part in this event.

Yes we definitely need some capital in terms of gas fees, trading volume, providing liquidity, LP farming, staking, minting NFTs and passports that most of these mainnet platforms are doing that are interacting with LayerZero, zkSync, Polygon zkEVM, Starknet, etc.

I myself have focused on a single wallet but with more activities in different chains. Of course, it's an airdrop wallet and not my main one where I have kept most of my stablecoins and other important assets.

I regretted not knowing about Arbitrum and Optimism earlier (especially Aptos and Blur) which they have made solid profit to the early supporters and users.

Retroactive drops are the thing right now that would potentially be giving us some future rewards.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold the altcoins and invested in Bitcoin" on: July 05, 2023, 07:40:40 PM
Although we are not financial or investment advisors here, investing on Bitcoin for long-term purposes is highly a good choice. No disrespect on altcoins that are designed for short and mid term, but I say that BTC along with ETH are the best ones for the long term.

To me, they are worth in doing the DCA (dollar-cost averaging) whether if it's weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or so depending on how much extra budget you can afford to lose.

Do not go all-in though. Learn how to diversify both the short, mid and long term coins and tokens in your portfolio.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: July 05, 2023, 03:29:17 PM
I would rather keep my BTC rather than investing it into different coins other than ETH if you’re thinking long-term.

Both BTC and ETH are worth to DCA (dollar-cost averaging), as they are the top 2 coins in market capitalization.

Although I am not discouraging you from trying it in other coins and tokens, it’s just that they are only great for short and mid-term.

Just my own opinion.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 04, 2023, 01:41:09 PM
when i was kids, i need to study very hard, to get a lot of score in the test. if i got a zero mark in a math test, i am very scare to go home and show the test paper to my mum.

when i am grown up, i have kids and wife now, i need to work very hard, to get a lot of money in the job. if i got a paycut, or i got fired, i am very scared to go home, i can't sleep well, my head is sweating, the memory of getting zero mark in a test keep haunting me like the nightmare, i need to go out and make a lot of money!!

tell me anything i need to do to make a lot of money. doesn't matter what, i would do anything to get all the money, even if it mean unlawful and unethical!

I understand how you feel that you’re desperate to make more money. I felt the same way like you before.

But the hard reality is that there are no shortcuts to make a lot of money that easy and in a fast turnaround time.

When I was a broke, I took time to develop my skills despite being heavily criticized by my parents for not listening to their advice in being a traditional 9 to 5 employee.

I applied to various side gigs online like selling services on Fiverr or any similar platforms out there as an article writer, and do some paid guest postings in various niche websites as well while learning new skills at the same time.

I learned how to do vlogging on Youtube in which that time I was not confident yet and being shy on the camera. As I have seen the big opportunity, I’ve decided to do it slowly but surely and the rest is history.

Don’t give up. While learning new skills, get as much side gigs as you can. There are a lot out there depending on your area like Craigslist, Freelancer, Upwork, etc.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: July 03, 2023, 10:07:37 PM
I don't have much favorite altcoins these days as I mainly focused on ETH. This is truly designed for long term holdings as more Dapps are using Ethereum than Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, etc.

On top of that, I do have ETH in multi-chains like the zkSync, Polygon zkEVM, Optimism, Arbitrum, etc., for the purpose in doing alpha testnet stuff.

I do have some BNB but only for short and mid-term holding purposes rather than doing long term DCA like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting bitcoin besides the profit making idea. on: July 02, 2023, 01:52:55 PM
One good example is Pouch.ph who are promoting Bitcoin for adoption and as a utility rather than for profit. Because of that, they have made Boracay as the Bitcoin island of the Philippines where almost all of the stores, services, transportation, etc., are accepting Bitcoin as mode of payment but in lightning.

On top of that, they have also expanded to other cities and provinces slowly but surely for some coffee shops, bars, restaurants, etc., to accept Bitcoin aside from other mobile banking apps like GCash, Maya, etc.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: July 02, 2023, 01:49:31 PM
It's true as you said there are lots of bounty campaigns for new coins. But not all of them don't pay, don't pay, most are scams or don't have successful projects, some are paid. I think it comes back to you. Before joining the bounty campaign, you have to be very careful in choosing campaigns and bounty managers who have a good reputation so you don't waste your time.

Even if the managers are having a good reputation that doesn’t mean every project they handled and managed are legit. Escrowed or not, our fate depends on the project’s actions whether they keep continuing to work diligently or just simply going to rug pull after CEX or DEX listing.

I have joined a lot of bounties with some of the reputable bounty managers here and there. Even if they did distribute the tokens, they can be worthless if the project is going to dump their tokens and exit scam. It is way out of our control.

This is just my own opinion based on my years of experience being scammed a lot by projects who failed to meet our expectations.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: July 02, 2023, 09:26:51 AM
I say no to DCA in altcoins other than BTC and ETH.

Most altcoins are only for short and mid term holdings, but they are not capable to be designed for long term like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Although that we are just sharing our own insights and opinions, the final decision is in your hands whether you still want to do altcoin DCA or not.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any airdrop hunters here need some leads on: July 01, 2023, 01:53:10 PM
that's good list but sei is in preparation to launch its own coin. I just hear that if the calculation for airdrop will be based on how many points being collected by its test net participants. The amounts allocated for airdrop is also pretty small at this moment...

These are just assumptions, since no one knows the criteria for airdrop distribution, except for the team that is silent about it. But we may be surprised again if SEI distributes airdrop, as SUI did earlier. And then all the completed tasks in the SEI test network will only be a waste of their own time.

I usually have very low expectations for SEI about having a possible airdrop. But who knows they might surprise us. It’s much better to lower your expectations so that you won’t get disappointed if in case they have announced something that you did not like.

But I am betting and taking chances rather than just sitting there and do nothing at all. But there are other projects under the SEI network that would have a confirmed airdrop event like the SEI Monsters for early users when the mainnet launches.

Take SUI for example. Some early users are expecting an airdrop for them, but it turns out that they are only being whitelisted to buy SUI at a very early price before it hits the market.

We just have to be prepared for unexpected stuff like this and acknowledge the risks in both time and money.
393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not your key not your wallet on: July 01, 2023, 01:46:52 PM
When I receive such emails like this, I must be very careful even if it is from the official account of such platform like the Coinbase. To verify, I usually go to their official site and reach out to their customer service or in their official socials to see if the email is legit or not.

But yes in centralized wallets, we do not have the full custody of the assets that we are holding there. They can freeze or hold your assets there for certain reasons rather than just having the full control of your hard earned money.

Much better you store them in a hardware wallet if you can afford. Non custodial wallets like Metamask and Trust Wallet can do but they are hot wallets in which they’re created online and the hackers can simply find ways to siphon your funds if you are not careful.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: July 01, 2023, 01:38:15 PM
It also applies to testnets. The fees are ridiculously high. Take Linea for example.

When I try to complete a swap, adding or removing liquidity, bridge and other tasks, sending, depositing and withdrawing tokens, etc., the fees in testnet are so expensive. In Linea alone I have spent like around 30 gETH and maybe more to come just to complete their Voyage quests (especially the current DeFi week where I am spending a lot of it and it’ll end on July 4th).

0.5 Linea ETH a day from the faucet isn’t enough so I just need to buy it using my own money under the mainnet ETH. Due to the congestion, the highest gas that I am paying was approximately between 1 to 2 gETH per action. Normal ones are between 0.2 to 0.7 gETH.
395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: July 01, 2023, 01:32:54 PM
I have to agree on this one. Reminds me of someone who said that the best time to enter the market is when things are still quiet or bearish. It is all about planting the seeds during the quiet days before the rain is about to fall on the right time.

It is difficult for us to enter the market is already rallying and about to reach its peak. Same thing goes if we are building our own trading portfolio and other products related to Web3, DeFi and anything related to crypto trading.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.k Approves Cryptocurrency As A Regulated financial Activity. on: July 01, 2023, 01:15:09 PM
A small step in a right direction in which they have opened their minds about regulating cryptocurrencies. Despite the bearish stuff that they are doing in the past like banning Binance by their regulator and other stuff, it seems that they had a possible change of heart by making crypto as a regulated financial activity.

This is good for me so far rather than outright banning it.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting patiently for the next bull run... on: June 29, 2023, 10:53:15 PM
Fingers crossed too as I am just holding on to my Bitcoin. Currently I am not really holding any altcoin. Technically I have ETH but only for the purpose of doing testnets under the ETH mainnet.

We just do not know when would be the next bull run, but I am anticipating it in the next halving period which is May 2024. This is why some institutions are already applying for Bitcoin spot ETF or so in preparation for this massive event.

How time flies!!!
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: June 28, 2023, 07:13:43 PM
The golden age of airdrops is way past behind us. Those easy money days in 2017.

But I am not ruling out just yet because of these big airdrops and retrodrops by being an early adopter of their blockchain.

Take Arbitrum for example. Early adopters are betting on it despite most of the critics saying that there won't be an ARB airdrop.

But they were wrong and got surprised later on when Arbitrum announced a big airdrop to the early adopters who interacted in their blockchain, Dapps etc. Same case with Optimism as well.

Both of them are Layer-2s, so I am betting on other upcoming L2s to have a future airdrop despite not knowing when will it happen.

So yes I am still hunting for alpha airdrops even if it's just "potential", "rumored" or even confirmed.

Right now, the ones I am really looking forward to go big are the Tier 1s like the zkSync, Layer Zero, Polygon zkEVM, Starknet and many others.

Tier 2s and below are okay too, but the chances for having an airdrop are not really that high as the Tier 1s in my opinion.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any airdrop hunters here need some leads on: June 28, 2023, 07:03:47 PM
Despite that these rumored airdrops are not offering any promises or guarantees, I am taking the chance this time. I have missed so many big airdrops like UNI, Arbitrum and Optimism.

I'm bullish in both Layer Zero, zkSync, Polygon zkEVM and Starknet. However, the only downside is if you do not have enough budget every week to interact in their platforms like paying gas fees for bridging, swapping, adding and removing LPs, staking, LP farming, NFT minting, etc.

I am also active in Linea, Base, Sei, Venom, Scroll, Polyhedra, Shardeum, Cashmere, Eigenlayer, Fuel, 5ireChain and others, which they are all under testnet. Already been hunting alpha potential and confirmed airdrops for several weeks now.

I just don't mind how much would I be getting even if it's just small. I'm already happy. Been there done that before with retrodrops like Shapeshift, Dappradar, etc. But hopefully I can experience much bigger. Fingers crossed.

But be sure not to attempt doing multi-accounts or your wallets are at high risk of being tagged as Sybil that would mean blacklisted in current and future airdrops.

that's good list but sei is in preparation to launch its own coin. I just hear that if the calculation for airdrop will be based on how many points being collected by its test net participants. The amounts allocated for airdrop is also pretty small at this moment.

Im thinknig about if sei already ended its testnet through blocked.

They will be having Season 2 as announced last time with more missions than the first one in which I have almost completed them. 16 of 18 missions.
