3/3

382  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any more Skill-based services like this? on: December 01, 2015, 10:40:35 AM
Having more skill-based Bitcoin games definitely sounds like an interesting idea, but I guess the developers of such games think that overall the video-game playing demographic doesn't really exist in the Bitcoin world...?

If they continue to improve the game, however, and it becomes seen as a viable option for people to start using, I'm sure we will see more of them pop up in the future.

It's not because of that, the problem with pvp games is that you need to have a really big amount of people in your site to be able to play. There is also the possibility of cheaters, thats why skill games like chess are impossible to implement and other games similar to that are also impossible to make.

Chess is a really easy one to cheat though, games like poker you can cheat but its hard if the game is 1 on 1, the only way then is to have a bot smarter than a human.  Agar seems to be working so far.

I am really into gambling because it's fun to test your luck, but I have been playing that Battlecoin game, which is a game where you bet money and other players bet too and make a pot, then you play a match of Bomberman and winner takes it all. Are there are any other games like this that aren't 100% luck? Also what do you think of 100% luck games (pure gamble) vs skill based games? I just like some variety sometimes from dicing and casino type games.

Poker and chopcoin are both games that you look for.  I see more coming in the very near future.
yes i think you right both these games what he looking for maybe sportsbetting is another choice because need good skill analytics

I'd have to vote chopcoin as the best integration so far as it plays so smooth.  Yeah forgot about sports betting that defo has to count as skill.

385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: November 30, 2015, 04:48:35 PM
Gambling is good if you are that lucky to win most of the time but generally it's wrong when you're more of losing than gaining something from it....

Its way more complex than that, gambling is providing economic growth and entertainment.  Look at all the jobs its creating and how many new games are getting developed.
386  Economy / Gambling / Re: Battlecoin.org - Multiplayer bomberman clone on: November 30, 2015, 04:46:37 PM
It's been a while since I played, loving the new sounds and music, it really adds to the atmosphere and now it feels more like playing an arcade game in a cabinet or at least in my old super Nintendo. It's really cool that in 2015 now we can play games of childhood again and bet internet currency with people from different countries. I would have never guessed this in a million years back then.

They have sounds now? thats awesome, will be trying some games later.  Looking forward to that pool game added :p
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: when your out of btc on: November 30, 2015, 04:42:27 PM
Bitcoins are monopoly money to have fun on the Internet with different kind of decadent activities while your hard-earned money from your salary sits safely in your bank account  Cool

haha i see it is almost exact opposite, bitcoin is the imortant stuff you want to hold onto, fiat is the crappy stuff you currently use but wont last.  I still think its cool to play with small amounts though, great thing about bitcoin is it divides so well.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: when your out of btc on: November 30, 2015, 10:06:49 AM
question for hardcore gamblers Smiley
when you have btc you mostly spend all on gambling and you are addicted how so when you dont have btc you dont miss gambling?
i know that i gamble for fun (i dont care too much of my money so i can afford to lose 10,50,100$) so why when you have btc you go to gamble even tho you know you will most likely lose ?
does this question have any sence to you? if not ill just lock topic im just interested how people when have btc they are addicted and when they dont have gambling addiction is not comming out.?
regards.
-Katerniko1

Next time you have a big win do yourself a favour and take half out and stick it on a wallet to give to a trusted family member but you keep the password.  If bitcoin goes up like crazy and you dont hold any you will be gutted you missed out on that gamble.
389  Economy / Gambling / Re: UFC 194 Prediction: Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo [December 12, 2015] on: November 30, 2015, 09:43:51 AM
McGregor has boxing background and has 4 inch reach advantage. If he keep the distance constantly and keep his fight plan, he could outbox Aldo

Good thing in UFC this might not matter much.  We just saw how pwoerful reach advantage was in boxing with tyson fury vs klitschko, it basically won fury the fight.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoin address you have right now? why you have more than one? on: November 30, 2015, 09:41:15 AM
When whatching some videos about bitcoin i came to know there is lots of address can be made for bitcoin almost unlimited. So creating many addresses doesn't seem to affect bitcoin network.

I have around 3 address 2 of those are cold wallet address and 1 main everyday hot wallet. I have Cold wallet to store in safer place and stop me from spending madly in gamblings.

How much bitcoin address do you have and why you have to create more than one address?

I have about 5-10 ones i might use right now. Over last couple years i probably had around 100 i've used.
391  Economy / Gambling / Re: How I made $80 easily with a $100 investment on: November 29, 2015, 05:31:31 PM
$100 = 0.2840 Bitcoin.

I went on Primedice.com

This is the method that I was using.

Bet: 0.0001
Payout: 3

Every time you lose, increase your bet by x2.

Set the dice to over 66.6 & alternative after every few wins.

Be safe, and remember that there is no 100% way to win.

I lost half of it because I didn't realise that I started with 0.01 & lost after a few.

Thats cool but the math will tell us you need luck to win, if we all try this method some will win and some will lose.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal vs Bitcoin Comparison of online payment methods on: November 29, 2015, 05:30:11 PM

I kinda see it as fiat vs bitcoin because paypal could use bitcoin, there will still be a need to paypal just like people use coinbase currently with bitcoin.

In the future if we can remove fiat things could be different.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 29, 2015, 12:20:23 PM
Tottenham vs Chelsea both teams to score looking rock solid for betting it is like to have easy money, i will give vote up to Tottenham it will win this match.

Chelsea usually do well against tottenham and they are slowly turning thigns around im going for a chelsea win.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 28, 2015, 07:30:57 PM

Vardy just broke the all time EPL scoring record for games in a row with 11.  Pretty insane considering the team he plays for. Cant see this trend lasting.

397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is gaining widespread positive attention and respect on: November 26, 2015, 10:43:54 AM
At that why the price is continuing to stay stable and on modest upward trajectory

Yes I agree and this can be felt in the air lately! People are out of ammunition about the same old arguments that we are ponzi, dark market currency and that we won't last too long.

The ponzi argument has mostly died and now we are fighting other silly things like funding terrorists and drugs.  The internet still faces some small critique its not going to stop soon.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My goal to earn 1,000bitcoins within 3years on: November 26, 2015, 10:25:40 AM
Earning 1000 BTC in only 3 years without doing any job or providing service is completely impossible to acheive also only starting from 2015.

Well it's possible that he has a bunch of luck with gambling but I doubt that.

I wonder how it went with the OP.

I hope he didn't waste it all on gambling. Faucets could take him there but it would take longer then 3 years to get 1000 btc, not worth it in my opinion.

Probably big 1 time wins are the easiest way, like some type of bitcoin lottery which im not sure any have a prize like that.  Would be cool if there was one though.
399  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy and Kraken Targeted with Extreme DDoS Attacks on: November 26, 2015, 10:23:30 AM
Exchange collapse and lax security and trust protocols unfortunately come hand in hand.
As long as exchanges remain centralized in some form and not entirely decentralized sites can run away with a users funds.
Gox, Vircurrex, Bitfunder, Mintpal, Cryptsy the list goes on.

Im happy with kraken, i know who runs the exchange, i know roger ver is an investor.  I know they done an audit.   I dont think its impossible they have a "problem" but its less likely and i only have a small amount in the exchange anyway.

Well maybe not Kraken your right about that but to be fair many people thought Mintpal was fairly trustworthy at the time because of Alex Green who was really Ryan Kennedy.
That said your right it's not fair to point fingers if one exchange is having issues cryptsy while the other one is running smoothly enough kraken and Ver is also running forum.bitcoin.com so having the Bitcoin domain and running a scam with kraken would be strange stuff.

Yeah thats what i figure, kraken aren't also super huge so maybe a scam isn't worth it for the people involved.  I think they have sorted out any ddos issues now lets hope so.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could you share Your first time BTC Experience? on: November 26, 2015, 10:21:34 AM
Heard about it early just the name bitcoin when it first started out but only read about it properly in 2013 and knew right away it was a big deal.
