Although I don't have an m-board here, I've verified as well as I can that the Raspberry Pi will fit either plugged directly into the socket or mounted underneath the board.

With the M board in that orientation, isn't that blocking the air flow? Guess it doesn't matter if its open case, just not the best i guess,
This case will be fully enclosed. The new m-board is smaller, so there would be 38mm of open space above and blow it for air circulation. Otherwise, I could make this 4U.

It is not recommended to use a GPIO extender cable more than a few inches long with an application that uses SPI protocol. Adafruit sells a one foot GPIO extension but warns that it may cause issues and mentions several of their for-sale items that it is not compatible with for that reason.

I'm starting this thread to determine whether there is interest for a 3U (or taller?) case for Bitfury's ASICs. Unlike all my other offerings (e.g. All aluminum open air case for BitFury ASICs), this case will be fully enclosed and rack mountable. These cases are unique in that they are very modular (just like the BitFury), allowing you to grow/shrink your rig as needed. You could even bolt two shallow cases together. And of course, they could be shipped flat-packed or fully assembled. Here's a very rough pass of the component layouts of two variations: one with a 1U PSU and another with a standard ATX PSU. I have the Pi(s) at the very back of the case, but am wondering if they even make a cable long enough to connect them to the m-board(s). Thoughts?

Yes, the case can be easily re-configured in a vertical orientation. Shipping to EU seems to be ranging $55-75 USD.

ASAP (2-3 weeks). Any update on the version that can fit in a standard 19-inch rack? I'd be interested in those.
With the current version 2 of these can stand sideways vertically using 13U or 14U of height, but there will be is a lot of wasted space.
I'm working on it. Do you require it to be fully enclosed, or is this open design ok?

F**king gorgeous work, do you have just that standard shipping rate or would it cost you or I more if you were to ship it to a place Far away from you In reality, would shipping it to Canada cost any more? I dont know where you are shipping from for the sake of testing, would it cost you more to send it to some place thats a contenent away? (IE Mexico to Russia)
In addition to the cost of the case, I collect whatever the actual shipping charge is (USPS/UPS) to your location. Maybe I missed it but do we know the final placement of the Rpi in the final board setup? I know on the prototype it was hanging off 90deg to the M-board. How is it now and have you adjusted for it in your design? Thanks.
I don't know what the final placement is, so to cover all bases... connecting the Pi directly to the board in any orientation should work. Otherwise, I include a mounting plate which you can attach the Pi to and then connect the Pi it to the board with a cable (not included).

Rich - I see your thickness measurements. But I am not very knowledgeable about fans. What size (height, width or fan diameter) do we need to get for three across on each side?
"Normal/standard" 120mm x 25mm.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that the two beams supporting the m-board can be re-positioned so that you can mount three thick 32/38mm thick fans.
