381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New EU AML ban bitcoin anonymous payment on: March 24, 2024, 06:13:41 PM
BTC tx's are pseudonymous and the only way to carry out anonymous tx's using BTC is if you create CoinJoin tx's or send your coins through a mixer.
Also you must use Tor and not IP address. Also if you do not buy bitcoin on exchanges like as we are paid in signature campaigns on this forum and if you use Tor for access this forum, such transactions are anonymous without mixers or conjoins.

I find it hard to understand how they would implement this law; centralized exchanges already require kyc, so it is either they are going to target privacy solutions, just like the u.s. is doing with BTC mixers. But then again people who use CoinJoin implementations should also use p2p exchanges, so i don't know how the government is going to track such paymemts or tx's.
Even if they track it and not link to any illegal activities, what will they do? They can only go for transactions with big amount of coins, not just small amount of coins. These governments do not even want people to take breath at all, they are getting worse day by day in a way they even prefer to track peoples activities at their home.
382  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What's the best way to create a super/meta/mother/master mnemonic seed? on: March 24, 2024, 06:05:01 PM
[I don't want to cope with keys because (almost) all wallets accept BIP39 seeds currently. But not of all them accept master keys unfortunately. In addition it's more easy to deal with mnemonic seeds than with keys.
When I was having to many seed phrases, I was thinking about this. But the solution I went for at the time was that I created several passphrase from a single seed phrase. Presently I have just one of it which is a seed phrase with 3 strong passphrase which I backup separately in different places that people can not notice.
383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why are mining fees not refunded on: March 24, 2024, 05:50:57 PM
If I am not wrong, when we do RBF or cancellation as OP requested we are not going to replace the transactions, we only create new transaction that means both the transactions will be present in the pool and one with higher fee will be confirmed and the remaining one will be removed by the nodes. Am I wrong here?
The transaction is replaced by the new transaction. That is the reason it is called double spending. If you check the old transaction that is replaced on explorers, it will be invalid.

So you are saying we can make transactions without paying the TX fee? or I am imagining! haha. Well if I am not then this information is new to me, I don't run any full client wallet like it, only using SPVs. hmm, if we can really make tx without paying fees using full clients then how miners and validators are going to make money? I mean this changes the whole thing/POV for me  Wink
The bitcoin transaction fee is in a way that people have to pay as the fee rate determines the amount of coins to be paid. But if you are one of the people that own a mining pool, you can include zero fee transaction as part of the transactions to be mined in a block and if you mine the block the transaction will be confirmed.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: getting past break even on: March 24, 2024, 05:09:23 PM
You should not focus on one indicator. Try to test several different trading indicators and during the testing process you will be able to select 2-3 indicators that you will use simultaneously for trading.
Indicators like MA or BB will be good while another one like Bollinger band can be the second. The third can be fibonacci retracement. I will prefer just two indicators for short term trading because almost all of them will still give similar results. Indicators are good but not perfect at all. If you check the market very well and check indicators, you will see how indicators can fail traders. I prefer to just hold instead.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 24, 2024, 04:58:38 PM
It seems difficult and I think crypto is also not anonymous at the moment so in my opinion there is actually no difference now between crypto casinos and fiat casinos
How about the decentralized casinos? You might not have used one of them to gamble before but you do not need to go for KYC before you gamble on those casinos, but in the futures there is possibility of requesting for KYC. I can still understand you. You mean the centralised casinos. Most people even prefer to go for KYC nowadays and that some fiat casinos are supporting crypto now while some crypto casinos are also supporting fiat which is bridging both together. But crypto is still better because it is not centralised like fiat, this makes foreign casinos to be easily accessible than fiat casinos.
386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you feel when you earn merits in your post or replies. on: March 23, 2024, 11:07:24 AM
To this day I feel nothing but curiosity. As BlackBoss_ says, at the beginning they did provide a positive thrill but once I acquired the rank of Legendary, which is the highest I could reach, and it's clear that I'm not competing to be one of the top merit earners, now earning merits from time to time is part of a routine. What I am curious about when I receive a merit is to see for which post it was given to me.
I do not believe those that will say they do not fell anything as they are earning merit. As I am earning merit, I am happy. I am not happy because I receive merit but I am happy because I am one of the people that is making good posts, learning from people and people learning from me. It makes me feel that I am useful to some people on this forum. Especially if I earn merit from highly established members, it makes me feel good. I also think that it will make people like you feel good but you just do not want to say that.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling until you go totally broke on: March 23, 2024, 10:12:34 AM
Your friend is suffering from a gambling disorder which was why he couldn't control the urge to gamble until he lost everything he had at hand and in the bank. I suspect that your friend was chasing losses which was why he lost all.
This is greed, lack of discipline, irresponsible gambling and an addiction. From what I conclude at with what is written by OP, his friend is suffering from chronic gambling addiction or problem gambling. Did you know where this type of addiction starts? It starts from people that think they are wise to make money from gambling. They will lose but continue to find ways to be winning more than losing as they will think that they can make weekly income from gambling. It is better the OP advise him about it because he is using his future to play. Gambling is meant to be for fun, but some people just want to abuse it and it will have bad effect on their finances.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 22, 2024, 06:32:00 PM
Of course, winning is more fun than lossing obviously, but you don't need to expect of always wins.
Even what the best gambles should think of is that when they are gambling, they are liable to loss more than win and after they finish gambling, the loss may be more. I am of the type that think of losses while gambling but also trying to win because winning makes me feel happy and make the moment good for me,. But if Iose, it can not affect me financially at all. I just like to win but losing will not be a sadness for me either because all the money spent on gambling may be lost to gambling which all gambkers shoukd know.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 22, 2024, 05:07:27 PM
So where's the fun when you lose your money?
Betting is not fun when you lose money what makes betting fun is when you have mastered the act of betting. What makes betting fun is when you are knowledgeable about the game you are betting on. What makes betting fun is when you have your risk management strategies rather than betting blindly and hoping for a magical win. What makes betting fun is not chasing losses. These and several others are what makes betting fun. Of course we may lose money because of house edge and but not because we bet stupidly and lost.
If you master the betting, that does not mean you will not lose if your winnings and losses are calculated but what you said that is just right is that gamblers should have a good betting strategy. It is the bad strategies that some gamblers have that makes gambling not to be fun for them. Just like you said, there is house edges and gamblers are more likely to lose. Anyone that do not have fun while gambling should better stop gambling. Gambling is not a means of looking for money which many gamblers that are just newbies just want but fail.
390  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CHANGENOW BAD EXCHANGE SERVICE !!! on: March 22, 2024, 11:36:55 AM

391  Other / Meta / Re: Is the Merit circulation on a downtrend yet Bitcoin is on an uptrend? on: March 22, 2024, 05:44:06 AM
I think the merit source are not enough anymore. When demand is more than supply scarcity happens. Approving a merit source in some of the active locals that doesn't a single merit source will go a long way in solving this recent scarcity.
I will say this also because o_e_l_e_o and Ratimov are gone and no more posting or sending merit to anyone on this forum again. There will be some merit sources that will also be like them. We can see how Ratimov was generous with merit before he went bad on this forum, the merit he sent to developing members makes merit to flow very often at the time.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Is biggest Enemy of Bitcoin on: March 21, 2024, 04:46:51 PM
Bitcoin has a marketcap of over $1.31 trillion. Ripple has a marketcap of less than $35 billion.
Ripple is centralized as shit but Bitcoin is decentralized
There is ripple reserve that ripple use to scam people but bitcoin has no hidden reserve. All bitcoin sent to your wallet can be withdrawn, unlike ripple with ripple reserve.
If you say ripple is bitcoin competitor, either you are drunk or you do not know what you are saying.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feelings on losing the match and the bet on: March 21, 2024, 01:14:40 PM
Do you feel sad when your favorite team loses a match and the bet (if you had placed a bet on that match)?
If I use just small change to stake, I will not feel sad at all. If I use high amount of money to gamble, I will feel very sad. What that will determine my emotion is how much I used to stake the match.

When your team wins you have happiness. Everything goes wrong including your mood and emotions if the team on which we place the bet loses the match unexpectedly.
It is not about my team it about the team that I placed bet on. If there is no bet, I can not be sad for my team losing. But I noticed that when my country lost in final match of AFCON, I felt bad but I was happy and good from the inside because it is just a football match.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is the best betting site for sports betting ?? on: March 21, 2024, 01:08:49 PM
You can try stake.com. It is the leading Crypto casino with good casino games and sport betting. Just click on the stake ad below my post, and you are there.
Bc.game and Stake.com are good. They are one of the most reputable gambling sites on this forum. I can also advise people to use the two sites. They also have both casinos and sports.

You can also go for Rollbit, there are some good casinos in this forum on ads.
Have you not been seen many scam accusations against Rollbit? There was another one today. I can not that advise people to use Rollbit because of high number of scam accusations.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 20, 2024, 11:05:35 AM
It's definitely not a good idea to take such risk on your team not minding how confident you are in their ability you still have to be cautious and apply caution because if you don't, you are definitely going to loose more than you can afford to loose.

Gambling responsibly is very important and that includes not keeping any bias for your team or another trying to exercise too much confidence because just at the verg of victory you could still loose and then you may be crying because you had expected another out come and not that which you got.
You are wrong. Gambling responsibly does not mean you should not gamble on your team to win. Gambling responsibly is about using the money that you can afford to lose to gamble. If you are gambling and you see a odd that you think can not be won and you gamble with it with just small amount of money and you are thinking that you will lose it but not affecting your emotion, financial life and other things, you are gambling responsibly. If you can not control yourself, gambling with huge amount and also gambling taking your time than necessary is when you do not gamble responsibly.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football teams create a kind of community on: March 20, 2024, 10:59:19 AM
People and family members kill each other for different political opinions. I have heard many cases of people fighting seriously against each other because a guy was supporting the government and his father was supporting the opposition party.
If you think that sport is whole other level, then why bring politics? Politics is very different from sport and we have seen murder case most often in politics and not like that in sport.

The football community is at a whole other level. When I was a kid, we fought at school because some of us thought that Messi and Barca were the best while another thought that Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid were the best. There is tension because people think that their opinion is correct and dislike other people who don't support their opinion. People support people who are like them, they don't like people who are different from them.
Btw I have heard that English fans are very aggressive. Do you remember the movie Eurotrip and Liverpool fans?
What I can say is that you people are not mature at all because not that Messy nor C. Ronaldo will be like your friend and family. I can argue about the two but I can not give up my friendship or social intentions because of them. I value people that are around me that gives me joy than those people that gives me nothing than for me to support them and earn more fortune from their followers.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friends engaging on P2P gambling insights grudges amongst themselves on: March 20, 2024, 10:48:53 AM
10% is fair enough. That should be about $19 from the money he won from his friend. Asking for 30% is quite selfish of the loser but it is fine to see that they resolved at 10%
It is not related to fair at all but the winner is willing to give the loser back 10% which is not bad at all but that makes me not to talk about fair or not. What makes it fair to me is that if there is not cheating and no manipulation. If the winner do not give back any amount of money, it is also fair as long as there is no cheating and manipulation by any if the gambler. If I am the friend, I will not give back the money at all but spend it all. Although the loser may be begging the winner and the winner may just be considerate. The right word is consideration.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 20, 2024, 10:44:56 AM
Another sad story, I guess that's why there's never enough talk about responsible gambling. People, especially young people, need to know how dangerous gambling is if they have no control over it.
This may not be possible to everyone because not everyone are not greedy and able to control the way they are gambling and be gambling in a responsible way. Some people will see gambling as a way to make money and prefer to just have that mentality and using it to gamble. They will think they can make money from gambling and that will drive them to gamble to make money but instead they will be losing and thinking that they will recover back the loss which is just an addiction. This is a sad story but what is more sad about it is that this will not be the last.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 0x.bet Online casino on: March 19, 2024, 06:40:55 PM
No need (KYC)

It's a bullshit term, always check on term & condition. If you can withdraw without (KYC) doesn't meant that casino not asking you KYC. Most common things tactics casino is, to allowed small withdraw without KYC.

Withdraw big fund will ask you some KYC, buying some time and hoping you can't passed those.
Only casinos that we can trust that has no KYC are web3 but which I do not like to use. I prefer to send my coins to a casino and have it in deposit and gamble for fun than to always settle winnings through onchain transactions that web3 casinos are making use of. If a casino is centralized, we should truly not believe that it has no KYC. It is better to read the ToS completely and not to be surprised that what you are saying is true. But that is not only what that can happen, the casino can force anyone at anytime to do identity verification.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming Legal tender on: March 19, 2024, 02:39:21 PM
El Salvador has USD as a legal tender. That makes bitcoin to be a legal tender in the country to be easy as they do not have their own fiat. But another country that makes bitcoin a legal tender is CAR and also an island in Honduras...

I don't know how many times I wrote to you that that country withdrew that law a long time ago and that the only country that has Bitcoin as legal tender is El Salvador. It is a shame that a "Legendary" member is sharing false information
I am not a legendary yet but a hero member

I track you quote to October 2022 and I saw that you corrected me only one time and not many times but which is this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5466649.msg62840032#msg62840032

I did not see it

I did not know that CAR no longer have bitcoin as a legal tender.

Thanks for the correction. But shame on you that you can not correct someone politely
