381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any way to pay for AWS using Bitcoin? on: January 17, 2024, 11:26:24 AM
There is actually a way, but it is indirectly, Amazon has it's own gift card which you can use to shop on the platform, and this gift card is available online in various stores that accept Bitcoin and other crypto coins as means of payment, for example Bitrefill, use the gift card to load up your balance and use that on AWS.

There is also AWS credits, I don't know if anyone have heard or use this one before, for those who don't know, it's a promotional coupons offered by Amazon, these credits can be applied to cover costs of eligible AWS services. I sure do know that this could be very helpful for those who are interested in the AWS services.

I heard that this could make you have access to the service as a life time offer, using AWS credits instead, what I couldn't find is how to purchase AWS credits, I think this will benefit you more OP, if you are good at doing research you can find answers.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 17, 2024, 10:16:10 AM
Know Your limit and stand on it, you don't have to gamble every single day, choose some days out of the week and pick a particular amount of money for gambling every week.

When you win some money, there is no point to continue gambling, some will say it's better to continue if you are on winning stake, that's their ways, I can't say it's bad, but it's gambling anyway, what do I know?

I will rather stop gambling the moment I win some money and go away, until my next gambling day has arrived, it just makes sense to handle gambling using this strategy, get a job if you are jobless, it will make you become a responsible gambler, not having a source of income makes you a reckless gambler, you don't want to be dependant on gambling.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if authorities launch a tax for owning bitcoin? on: January 17, 2024, 09:19:42 AM
Come to my country, nobody even care if you own Bitcoin or not, you won't pay any taxes even on realized gains, it's all yours, the government don't give a heck about how much you made from crypto, it's not even a thing here, that's why when they ban crypto it is just away from the banks, everyone still buy and keep their coins offline using peer to peer method.

I don't like the government, growing up I have hated politicians the most, the sufferness of my people is never for once solved by these people, they only know how to take advantage of the poor, I am not even talking about jobs, the biggest issue is security, now I will work hard and make my money, only to share some part with the government? It will make me extremely angry.

With everything that's happening in the country now, if in future I have to pay taxes on crypto I would rather travel out and start paying taxes in other country, where the government are truly capable.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 17, 2024, 07:54:11 AM
Isn't it smarter to bet on small odds?

At first, no one knows the outcome of the game, and it mean you can lose your money, secondly, the chances of winning the game is better than betting on higher odds, like I always say, casinos are not stupid.

Like you've said OP, it's always gamblers choices when gambling, how you plan to gamble will determine your result in the end, it's pointles to be greedy with odds, it will only make things more harder for you.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 16, 2024, 12:36:02 PM
I have some past with referral and bonuses and I don't want to do it ever again, you will be stressed out and later find out that it's not even worth it, some casinos won't want to pay after you win with bonuses and some have tough requirements when people use your referral link.

I still prefer deposit bonuses but all together they are not that straight forward, you need people that are into gambling and when they use your link they must take actions, do some gambling with goof amount of money for you to get good rewards.

I think this is best for those who are streaming on YouTube and others, they already have good followers and also they are shilling those casinos with good videos, people will easily use their referral links and deposit some money for real, way better than someone who have no channel.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: January 16, 2024, 09:26:24 AM
Ridiculous, as hard as gambling is, you will still have to pay taxes on that? If you are in a country where you must pay taxes when gambling its better to do something else, it can never be me.

Not everyone gets lucky in gambling and imagine all the try over and over and yet you keep losing money, but when you luckily get some juice you must pay taxes off that win? That's so ridiculous,  where are the tax collectors when you keep trying and trying and losing?

It's really a crazy world we living, gambling taxes should be on the casino or online platform's neck, not on the players that are going to obviously enrich the casinos and the gamblers may never get lucky, casinos always wins, there is no huge risks here with them, so they should be the one paying huge sum for taxes not the players.
387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Patience is power on: January 16, 2024, 08:36:31 AM
Still, advice you to keep learning about trading, you don't have to use a lot of money in trading, that's the mistake that most beginners do, they always want to make big money, gradual learning makes you a pro faster than someone who have money on their mind.

Now that you are buying these assets and holding for long term, which of cos will reduce your stress and risks, it's also a good time to give your all to learning, trading isn't that bad if you are good at it, and I believe that you need a professional trader to learn from, there are tools that will improve your skills, but you need to do your own research to know more.

Keep your recovery seed safe, you don't want to end up losing everything to scammers when the real bull market is very close, imagine all the stress of DCAing every week and ending up losing everything to scammers, knowledge is power, never stop seeking.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 16, 2024, 07:58:14 AM
If without gambling you are incomplete, you have already become a big problem for yourself, it will be hard for someone like you to ever beat gambling addiction, even with the help of therapy it won't work, you are simply addicted.

Beleiving that gambling is a do or die means you have lost yourself already, and only your God can make you escape from the grip of gambling, this is all so wrong, as a gambler you need to watch yourself, the way you reason with gambling, it's very important, gambling is like manipulation itself, it twists the mind easily.

There are so many foolish people in gambling today, in my household, the only thing we so take serious is believing in our hands, this is the only thing you have that won't deceive you, work your ass off, work hard and mix some smartest with it, you will eventually achieve your goals, but there is nothing to work really hard about in gambling, there is no work or anything to do that really worth you making money.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 15, 2024, 10:12:59 AM
Sounds like his addiction to drugs lead him into gambling? People do this type of mistakes but I don't blame the drug and the gambling, the blame is on him for making a poor decision.

Also gambling works in mystery ways at time, maybe he is like someone I know that gets more lucky placing bets on sports in a local casino than doing it online, this person have more losses when gambling online than actually vsisting a casino nearby, I told him to follow the path that works for him and he did.

I think people should be self aware, there are many things we can't explain in this world and they matters, sometimes, things that don't make sense are the answers to everything, many will say there is no different in online and offline gambling, but which one works better for you? Where are you most lucky? I think this is the best things to look out for.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 15, 2024, 09:15:27 AM
That's true, I have seen a guy who used his school fee to gamble, he claimed that he was trying to help his father since his father is so broke that he can't pay for his school fees, funny thing is he use the last amount in his fathers bank account to gamble and lost everything, the home was filled with so many tears that day, I can't forget.

At first I was so mad, I felt like beating him up for putting his father in such position, but later he felt that this guy is full I'm of regrets too, till this day he have grown so much hate for gambling, people don't actually know what gambling is, they instead try to give a try in a stupid way.

It's not even about having the bankroll only, your expectation in gambling will finish you if you are not careful, what you have in your head is what will control your ways with gambling, one minute you decide to only use $50 in gambling and another minute you start feeling like a magician and you will increase the bankroll yourself.
391  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 15, 2024, 08:27:42 AM
It's easier said than done Grin

I always give such related advice too but what about those who win some games as a beginner? They will find it hard to quit when the lose money.

I am able to walk away when I win some money in gambling because I am scared of gambling from the start, my father who is no more hated gambling because it has destroyed people he knew, including inside the family too.

So I am very careful with gambling, if I had no experience about gambling, if no one ever warned me, maybe I would have made many stupid mistakes? For what gambling is, you need to walk away when you win, you need to walk away when you lose all your money and gamble another day, if you keep going on that same day you will lose everything.
392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful and don’t promote a scam campaign on: January 15, 2024, 07:42:24 AM
There are certain path I like taking to avoid all these, like following a reputable bounty manager, you won't have any problem with scam projects, if the project suddenly turn scam it will be announced by the BM and they will quit promoting the project.

Haven't you noticed that scam projects are the one managing their campaigns themselves? For example 1xbit and co, the Bitcointalk account has the same name as their casino project, they can't find a bounty manager to give the job because all Bounty managers will reject the offer since they know it's a scam project.

All you have to do is use your head and think, if a project as nothing to hide it will be easier for them to hire the professional for managing the campaign, follow the best bounty manager on the forum and you have nothing to worry about, because they don't promote scams even if the money the plan to be paid is higher.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 14, 2024, 11:04:26 AM
The best advice I can share right now is do gambling for fun, don't get in a position where you will think too much about what you could have won, I see many people going into gambling with the mind of winning a lot, most gamblers think this way, but it's really wrong, because gambling is out of everyone reach, you can't always win.

Instead, it's better to think more about how much you will like to lose when trying your luck, and also focus more on the games, if you are not enjoying the games you should probably avoid gambling, because you are doing it for the money only and you will get your feelings ruined.

Try getting a job first, use some percentage from the money to risk on gambling, and keep living your life, as time goes by you will have your good days and bad days in gambling, it is normal, do not run after the money you have lost, it will only make you become greedy, once it's gone its gone, that's why you need a fixed amount for gambling only.
394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto scams flourish most during bull runs. on: January 14, 2024, 10:04:31 AM
With the SEC's approval of Bitcoin spot ETF and with the next Bitcoin halving around the corner, we will most likely witness a bull run that has already begun.
According to research, crypto scams flourish during bull runs.

It's good to invest but do it wisely and with the right knowledge. Make sure to carry out your own research before buying any coins.
Scam exists anytime in any market but it's true that in a bull market, new projects will be created with their smart contracts to scam investors.

You can use a combination of Coinmarketcap and Wayback Machine to check how many cryptocurrencies exist with each year.

2017 https://web.archive.org/web/20171231045102/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 1514 cryptocurrencies
2018  https://web.archive.org/web/20181231023300/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 2094 cryptocurrencies
2019 https://web.archive.org/web/20191231050641/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 4986 cryptocurrencies
2020 https://web.archive.org/web/20201231174111/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 8153 cryptocurrencies
2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20211231022251/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 16224 cryptocurrencies
2022 https://web.archive.org/web/20221231010102/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 22156 cryptocurrencies
2023 https://web.archive.org/web/20231231005016/https://coinmarketcap.com/ with 2M+ cryptocurrencies

Find old cryptocurrencies, Proof of Work if you want safety. If you are greed, want to find hidden gems, you must know that many of them are hidden scams too.
True hidden gems don't stay hidden for so long, if you got one and still stay hidden after several months it's probably a crappy hidden gem, when SEI was released, everyone thought it's another crappy one, but now it's looking tough like solana all over again in 2020.

You said proof of work is safe? Are you sure about that? Because there are many crappy PoW coins out there too, this was the same mindset that I had in 2018 when I started mining proof of work coins, only like 2 survived out of eight others, they mostly failed and some ends up losing value, now they are all abandoned projects.

You really have to be careful with all altcoins, just because Kaspa did amazingly well, many new Kaspa wannabe have been created by scam developers, there is one that share name with Kaspa with few extra words tweaking, kaspion? Or something, they are all trying to grab attention.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 14, 2024, 09:10:52 AM
I have some certain rules that I always follow when I feel like gambling, I have my profession, so gambling is just a side thing for me, I can go weeks or months without gambling.

I don't make a certain amount every month because it all depends on sales, I am a fashion designer by default and have store where I sell wears designers, my income varies, some times I earn $450 and some times even more, for gambling I always make sure that I make enough money to be able to put aside money for gambling.

My target every week is the max of $40 for gambling, and I use this amount on slots game, this is all I can afford to lose, I gamble twice in a week, so I use $20 in Tuesday's and $20 on Thursdays, these are my one lucky days, if you believe in horoscope and astrology though.

Some days are just always by bad days, and it's been proven to be so many times already, this was when I started gambling as a beginner, I don't know how this will help but that's that, it's not a must for me to gamble every week, if sales are not too good for that week I am not gambling, because I also invest some money into BTC every month or two weeks at times, this investment part is more important to me than gambling.
396  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 14, 2024, 07:50:32 AM
It's a good thing to see, but don't let this into your head, this person is different from you, it's their luck time, your names are different, things won't work the same way for both of you, so don't even think it's time you should make some adjustments.

When your own luck will come around, some gamblers who are close to you will also feel missed out, keep risking what you can afford to lose, if you become reckless for any reason you will lose it all and you will hate yourself for it, the biggest amount I have made with the smallest money is $2000+ and it have never happen again, but I am good with it, this is free money, I never worked for it in any way and gambling has nothing to do with you working to get paid.

Learning how to manage your money on gambling is better than learning about how to win from any casino by all means necessary, avoid shooting yourself in your foot.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Intersection of Bitcoin and Gaming Industries on: January 13, 2024, 09:12:48 AM
Why Bitcoin though? I don't think they will match well, going is better off on a separate chain built specifically for gaming only, like Beam and others, many people still don't believe that gaming will be great in future but it will, because are expecting Playstation and Microsoft to start using blockchain first before they will believe that gaming will do well with crypto but some companies are already in now, they will make their games available for Playstation and Xbox gamers soon.

Games like Bigtime, Shrapnel, BloodLoop, and so on have proven that AAA games are coming to the blockchain and it will do better than what people expected, many people wont see it coming, but with Bitcoin? This has nothing to do here, Blockchains projects like Avalanche, Solana and Beam are good places for gamers to build.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: January 13, 2024, 08:44:55 AM
It depends on how much you have to risk, but I personally like betting on a single match than more because your chances of coming out with a positive result will be higher, the more games you place bet on, the more you are expose to the chances of loses.

You will always be so close to winning millions when you bet on 5 or 7 games at once, and that's all there is, only very few people got really lucky with multiple matches and all prediction come like they predict, but you don't have to deal with this if you choose a match or two max.

The reason why people choose many matches at once is greed, they want to make all the money in a day, this greed is what locked many peoples luck away from them.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What ugly incident or occurrence have you ever experienced in gambling? on: January 13, 2024, 07:08:22 AM
That's too bad, he would have been so happy at first, but only to realize that he can't cash out, this is going to mendle with his head for a long time, such thing haven't happened to me, and I won't like seeing such thing happen.

Another thing is I am someone who use small amount always, even if I win big and I am unable to cash out I won't be that sad, but I could stop using such casino, it means that the platform is not reliable.

This thing happened to me years back when I was new to futures trading, I don't know how to use stop loss then and I relied on myself to stop the take and take profit, my phone malfunctioned and I had to restart, on doing so the trade already took me out and lost all my money, that was when I decided to learn how to use stop loss in trading, but I have never experience such in gambling.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 13, 2024, 06:32:42 AM
It takes a long time for gamblers to realize this, everyone always have their minds on the winning side only, it could have been harder for me to realize too but I already knew what gambling was all about, so I focused only on how much I am willing to lose over time and that's why I always enjoy my gambling session, few times I always get lucky, when I was not even expecting the luck to unfold on that day.

This is better and safer than having your mind on when you will win, you won't enjoy your game and your will be left with the guilt of mind for losing over and over, to become a good gambler you need to face the reality of gambling, that's by embracing loses over and over.

To make your losing not accountable for, you need to go your lowest, risk only what you can afford to lose, because you will have more losses visiting you than luck, just accept things and enjoy your games, the little the money, the more gambling activities you will be able to engage in, and you will have some winning days.
