381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: February 10, 2024, 07:16:32 PM
Qatar becomes the first team in 2 decades to win back to back Asian cups, which come either side of hosting the world cup in '22. Fair to say it has been a very productive couple of years for the nation in footballing terms.

They were impressive throughout the tournament and played some very good football leading up to the final. Congratulations to the team.

Vinicius and Bellingham were cooking and watching these two players perform in the first half was very enjoyable thanks to the goals they scored.
Vinicius has performed brilliantly in the first 45 minutes. He is performing so well, week in and week out I really wonder how Mbappe wants to fit into this squad if they eventually get him by the summer. Neither of the players are not in their best position at the no. 9 position, and Vini is not so different in quality to Mbappe.

If this Real Madrid side get an all out striker, they would be impossible to play.

All square at Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle.
Nottingham Forest play some good football on their wn day, if not for how unpredictable their performance. Good game to watch

A disappointing weekend of football, City and Liverpool won. I was hoping Everton would steal away with 1 point.

Are you using the latest version of electrum?
Did you go on to initiate the transaction and try to bump it?

RBF is by default now and allows you bump the fee after signing the transaction.

Don't worry, I'm a big bottler, but here's a clue: I'm going to choose majority pick. Nigeria win is the safest bet for the final. And so's DRC. Ready to follow me boys?
Something tells me that you already have some insider gossip but are leading us down the most obvious direction so you gain lots of points on the rest of us, or at least those still in a running for a reward slot.

This were two lousy leaders in their primes who achieved nothing exceptional in their careers, particularly Garragher, who won nothing with Liverpool and was one of the shitty players I watched, yet whenever he speaks, you would think he won everything during his playing days. Sky sports pundits are a bunch of bitter English players that had a terrible career.
They crave the attention from social media. Carragher had a field day on his X account during that period, retweeting every thing in relation to their comments on the studio.

Gary Neville had a decent career at Manchester United, much better than Carragher had at Liverpool.

Miguel Gutierrez is currently a Girona player and there is a possibility that next summer he will be part of the Real Madrid squad. Miguel Gutierrez's performance was very good and Ancelotti expressed his praise for the Spanish left wing-back. It is reported that Real Madrid only needs to pay 8 million euros to bring Miguel Gutierrez back to Real Madrid and I think that is a low fee for this talented 22 year old player.
This is the reason smaller clubs with lower budgets cannot consistently survive at the top level no mater how good their scouting and recruiting process is.

We saw it with the Monaco and Ajax side that made it very far in the champions league at different times, but then saw their club picked apart just a season after, stifling any plans to sustain the performance for the next seasons.

388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do coaches get sacked over poor performance of players? on: February 09, 2024, 07:49:34 PM
I have followed various sporting activities and I noticed something that hardly make complete sense to me and that is the rationale behind firing a coach when the players do perform poorly.
Players are managed by the coach. He/she has the authority to bench any player who is not performing up to standard. The club would even back a coach who ostracizes a player from the club entirely and would do their best to get the players the club needs, if the manager cannot produce results with the players at his disposal then they should step away from the job.

Is it even possible that players will intentionally lose matches because they want their coach out at the expense of their own careers? If this is true, why will the club management reprimand the coach and not the players?
If the coach has lost the dressing room that is an even more reason to relieve him from his job. The club can obviously not sack a squad of over 20 players.

:I know some people will argue that the coach is the leader of the team and should be responsible for building the unity and love the team need to play in high morale, but in a case the players happen to have hated the coach and have decided to lose matches as punishment for their coach, is it right to fire the coach?
Each reaction had an action that prompted it.

...and the last thing the Super Eagles want is to feel superior going into the game, because that also could mean losing sight of their game plan.
You definitely do not want to underrate your opponents before a final, but you would not want to overate them either. I have watched good teams not play up to their normal standards because they are overthinking the fact that it is a final and they need to be very careful.

Smiley I'm still hoping to see him stay in Napoli one more season, but I have a strong feeling in July he moves across to England, we'll see of course, but winning AFCON will definitely put his price tag up even higher Wink
Arsenal will welcome him with open arms.

It is just a reflection of what the world has become. At the moment influencer become a full time job we were doomed. They would be stupid to not capitalize on former glory and cash in a few bucks.
The CBS pundits do an amazing job and I am sure they get a good take home salary, but I do not think I have heard them talking to attract attention to themselves at the extent of players or coaches. Just great energy all around the studio.

A stark contrast to what Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are doing at Sky sports.

I guess he played. Watched the highlights and saw just one strike from him near the end I think it was from very far beyond penalty box, keeper saved, fumbled but nobody was close enough to take it on, but comfortable in the end.
He also won the penalty and was a workaholic upfront, putting pressure on the defenders when they held possession.

I think his number of goals does not describe his performance throughout the tournament. He has been one of Nigeria's best players so far. I am really looking forward to what club he plays for at the end of the seson.

There have been tons of crypto projects on real estate. This is not a unique idea and there is really no obvious demand for the blockchain technology in real estate neither does it solve any problem.

I  Made a little twist in my idea, what If each token you hold Will give you right to live on property 1 day or maybe Week.
...
Why would I use this and not just regular fiat? And how does this bring demand to the coin?

Hell no, with how the Ivorians always fail to put up a convincing performance whenever they play, I really don't see them winning here unless they push their luck to force a penalty shootout which makes it 50-50 for everyone and I don't think it will get here as this will be concluded inside 90 minutes!!!
In a final. Lots of things goes out the window and it is all down to who wants it more on the night.

A few bad calls here and there, but overall we can say it's above average especially that they had an extra pair of eyes from VAR to ensure the made the right calls.
Well above average for me, more within the range of excellent performance from the officials. Everyone now has an extra pair of eyes, but some refs still find a way to mess up against all odds, especially in the EPL.

It is possible, do not forget Bitcoin is open source and so the code can be change to increase the 21 million capped but I doubt if this will ever be done.
Open source does not mean it allows the source code to be changed. Both closed and open source softwares can have their codes changed by developers with access, the difference is that you can see thus changes in an open source network, can review the code and suggest changes that can be made. With closed source you are not aware what goes on at the back end.

There needs to be a consensus agreement for bitcoin's supply cap to be increased or a fork.

And they passed the group with 2 points and -4 goal difference  Grin And sacked a coach after that 4:0 beating in the last game if my memory serves me right, too lazy too double check.
You are right. It would be one of the great success stories if they can go on to win the cup, against the team that beat them in the group stages for added effect. Even if they do not win, they have done an amazing redeeming job and restored the faith of the fans on them.

Another day to commend the officiating of the AFCON tournament, it has been a 5 star performance from start to finish.

Noticed every ex-players now have podcast and YouTube channels where they criticize players for views and likes. Only few are going into management, the rest are just sitting in front of TV and giving advice. Lol
Some went into management and were not successful, so they rather sit with their mics and criticize managers and players alike. There are only very few pundits which I enjoy listening to regularly these days. The rest are desperately in search of headlines.

I didn't watch the game, but how did Liverpool get outplayed in one of the most important games of the season after smashing my club a few days ago?
Cause they went up against one of the best teams in the league that can beat any team in England on their day, Liverpool also had an off day. As for the Liverpool-Chelsea clash, the opposite happened, Chelsea had another off day and Liverpool were very sharp and playing at Anfield.

The English media must eat, right?
Pundits these days seem to want so much of the attention the players get and would do anything to get it.

399  Economy / Economics / Re: COPA fights for Bitcoins true image against Craig Wright on: February 06, 2024, 05:59:18 AM
I've been seeing this issue with Craig Wright for a long time and I still don't know what they mean that he's fighting to become the owner of bitcoin but how does he exactly become one anyway?
He wants to own the copyright to the whitepaper and get developer privileges on the network. Being recognized as Satoshi, even though he clearly is not, gives him status and he can then publicly recognize BSV as the real Bitcoin even though it is a shitcoin.

He is playing a silly game but is so deep into it now that he just has to keep playing.
Op, there is already a thread on this[1]

It would be the best for everyone involved to see South Africa vs DR Congo in the final. It's the matchup I'm hoping to see Smiley
I am sure there are a couple of members here who would have something to say about that. Nigeria is the most populous nation on the continent and Côte d'Ivoire are the hosts, the wind would be in their sales.

The pool is mostly an exercise now for the rest of us. Got to have some more luck in future pools.
