The clasico from today is not the clasico from back then. But I think that there was also a special atmosphere in this particular game that made it the most followed club game in the world. When Manchester City and Liverpool play against each other, those are top teams, but it is not the same. Wondering if we get to see something similar in club football. As for the Clasico, I think that it can't be denied the Ronaldo - Messi rivalry was at least 30% of it. It was different, it was on another level. Having these two guys compete in a Clasico? A dream that will probably never come true again. One thing that I admire in Ancelotti is his ability to manage the players to play different wings even when some key players are on injury, it does not bother him at all. This is what makes a coach great because he does not depend solely on one or two players to win matches, in which if those players are not fit, it will be impossible for them to win matches. I think most stars have gone from Barcelona which are not replaced as they should have with other good players while Real Madrid has changed their superstars with great other players which are giving to Real that edge not only in La Liga where they have already won it several weeks ago but also they were capable to beat Manchester City in the Champions League which is no small feat nowadays,they are in the final of the Champions also with huge percentage of chances to win that trophy too.As for the El Classico it is not the same when between the two teams there is a huge difference in players quality,of course it would not be as beautiful as it was when both teams had their glorious times. We all know that when it comes to money, Real Madrid has money than Barcelona and that gives them the opportunity to buy any player of their choice no matter how much that player worth. This is what have always put the club in a good position to remain the number one in Laliga Nad in European competitions, because they always have the players to do the job. Barcelona on the other hand is the only club that can be a rival to Real Madrid but it is quite sad that Barcelona due to poor management went short of funds and just have to manage the players that they have on ground to see if they can be able to meet up with the leagues, but unfortunately they had it tough with big clubs like Real Madrid who is their rival and they took that advantage to win Barcelona home and away in their El Classico match. Something needs to be done before next season by Xavi to avoid such a season without any trophy. |
