There were some issues with deposits, but work has been done (and servers moved several times) to address this, so please go have some fun and let us know if there are any issues.

Also, we have a fantastic Bitcoin lottery running at www.BitcoinPrizeDraw.com, so if you would like to enter please check out the website and our BCT thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857407

price is so low,the premined coin takes 500 days to mine, why we mine this coin??
Well spotted.  You are right, the pre-mine was intentionally huge.
But also, have you noticed that 25% of the pre-mine has already been used & distributed, and every day more and more is given away to promote the coin and increase adoption.
And also, in those 4 short months since launch so much work has been done to improve sites & services?
Just read the ANN, it is a veritable feast of services, options, sites, wallets, resources etc etc
And yes, the price is very low at the moment, and I think, in 2 weeks or so when we hit the max block reward the coin can really start to gain traction and slowly head towards my target price of around $0.005-$0.01.
So, the question is why AREN'T you mining and buying this coin Wink

I'm idling #MonetaryUnit on freenode if anyone wants in. Maybe we can throw in a tipbot or something.
Thanks for that.
Do you want me to look into getting a tipbot set up?

Hopefully issues have been resolved.
Please test the sites to death, and give us a shout if you have any issues Smiley
www.MUEcasino.com
We have Dice, Roulette & BlackJack.

I never thought I would be much of a fan of the dice game, but I love the autobetting robot option, and the many variables you can tweak.
Have a go and have some fun Smiley
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MUE] MonetaryUnit Android wallet app now available for download on: December 01, 2014, 09:07:54 PM
This is receiving really great reviews.
Using the Android wallet app also makes it super easy to scan the QR codes that are used on deposits for our games sites on www.MUEcasino.com

Basically, if everyone would have calculated, every person here knows that they will currently be holding just 40% of the BTC1.

If you are thinking how, then below is the calculation:

When you give 4k MUE, it costs you nearly BTC0.002 based on 1 MUE = 50 sats on some exchanges.

So, 200 x 4000 (MUE) x 0.0000005 (BTC-MUE) = BTC0.4

But, if this is actually gonna work, then the things going on here are marvelous and I'm in if I'm assured that they are going to pay the winnings for sure.
Yep, or also known as "This is costing me money to run"!!

For sustainability I would love if in the coming months this will be able to pay for itself.  It doesn't need to make anyone any money, but to be an ongoing fun project, it has to pay for itself.
Hopefully, over time, it will, and I am willing to foot that bill initially, in the hope we can really get this to take off.

I have a couple of people looking at automating a lot of the process, whilst still keeping the integrity of the publicly auditable results on Random.org and still having them completing the truly random draws, so the results are undisputable against the ledger of entrants.

We will post the entrants list soon, probably once we hit the 50 tickets mark or so.

Assuming the minimum entrants as per the OP are met, we WILL pay the winnings.
As I said in the previous post, it is simply not worth losing all investment in this coin for 1 BTC..simply not worth it.
I am totally committed to all aspects of the MUE project, and I guarantee the winnings will be paid.

How do we know that you won't run off with the money?
It's really not worth killing the coin for 1btc is it?

Why not answer the question correctly?
I have.

In fact, I don't think there is a better answer.
I can expand on it, but in a nutshell, that is the only answer people need to know, and anyone with any concerns, should take a moment to have a think about it.

1) We have no incentive to keep the MUE and the BTC.  We have plenty of MUE in the pre-mine wallet for a start.
2) If we did keep the MUE & the BTC, this will be another scam coin, the MUE will have no value, so we couldn't sell it anyway.
3) For 1 BTC we will have killed a coin that I have personally invested at least $10,000 in, & hundreds of hours of work.

So, if anyone asks themselves "How do we know they won't run off with that 1 BTC & the MUE", the answer really is
"well, why would they"?

If anyone has any concerns about the_prof, again, not an issue.  Even if he did scam us
1) I would send an e-mail of me frowning VERY sternly at him!
2) I am the guarantor for this draw.  No one will get scammed, I am the insurance fund, so you know where to come if anything goes wrong.

I hope that makes sense, if any of it doesn't, take a moment to think on it, then fire me some questions, not a problem.

Our interim wallet updates are now available, updated links in the OP.
Includes updated logo, check pointing and updated nodes to address the syncing issues people were experiencing.

I reviewed the changes made and I can confirm it's all safe.

Changes include:

1. Logo
2. More seed nodes
3. Tweaked the max outbound connection default value
4. Added checkpoints
5. On startup, always set window size to a sane default, rather than restore the last window size (probably to ensure a better UI experience)

Thanks earlz, having a trusted 3rd party approve the code is a great benefit to both the coin developers and the community.
Thanks for providing this service once again.

Hey bud.......just curious if the send limitation was addressed in this update?
Hey Jim, no we didn't.
This change is a mandatory change, so everything that relies on a wallet would have to be updated; explorers, exchanges, faucets, games etc etc
I'm still "on the fence" about this, and I am collating a list of potential changes that could all be combined that all require a mandatory update of the wallet, so should we do this, we can get loads of mandatory changes compiled into just the one wallet update.
Mandatory changes are a potential risk/hassle, so the fewer the better!

Loads of new nodes were added to this wallet update, did your slow syncing resolve itself?
I had one node for a few minutes, but within 5 minutes had about 27 connections.
