haven't yet recieved a bit?
Payout just sent (5 minutes ago)
64958606246a2e64a1722385a97cd99b4d7ac5a647f83c5d23f72cb37496de4e
and confirmed already (4 minutes later)

... was asleep when it came due ... and then this morning woke up and ... we found a block 2 minutes later ... 42% Smiley
While doing the payout I wrote yet another check to the payout processing - this time checking bitcoind itself - so delayed me some hours working on that.

Can I asked what the check for payout processing means? Just never heard that before and wondered what it meant.

Thanks

How is this not illegal. I mean buying a bank account under some one elses name. Sounds pretty illegal to me.

Looks similar, not sure what the top number represents but it's 270 uF and 16 V

Depending on where you live you could also get an equivalent from digikey. Here is one from Panasonic:

Awesome info. I think those are both the same. I took that information and ordered one amazon. Should be here on the 3rd. Thanks for the help.
384  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Electric current running through heat sink on: November 01, 2015, 10:51:40 PM
I just touched one of the heat sinks on my antminer S3 and i have electric current running through it and it won't mine. I have almost tried everything

So just going back to the original question... How do you know there is "current running through it"? Are you saying that you got an electric shock when you touched it?

If so then this must be a fault with the PSU rather than the Miner?

Not having a spring on one of the screws will not be the problem.

Rich

I was thinking the same thing at first, but a fault on the PSU wouldn't cause the voltage to go to the heat sink.It would have to be a fault on the board it self. The psu would be providing the power only unless one of the wires coming from the psu to the 6 pin molex connector was cut and touching the heat sink or the out side of the case.
385  Bitcoin / Hardware / Looking for a 802 SEPC 270 16 Capacitor on: November 01, 2015, 08:26:28 PM
I posted this in the market place but thought I also might try here as well. I am looking for a capacitor for my bitcrane ultrahoist board. I bought it used a couple of weeks ago and it came broken off. I borrow one from another board for testing but still need to replace the broken one. Any one have a board or a capacitor laying around? Or know where I can get one? Here is a picture.  Thanks!

shows you will be earning roundabout 0.00008606 BTC per month

mining at home is not so profitable anymore...

Mining at home is very profitable, just with ASIC, if you don't have exorbitant electricity price compared to the world, Bitcoin is *very* profitable, with the Bitcoin being at a high price. Even though its been going down, now.

You are correct mining at home is always profitable with the correct hardware and free electricity. Like me..Smiley but even if you dont have free it can still be profitable with again the correct equipment. I wish I could get some more equipment. Only running 3 currently trying to fix to bitcrane cards i just bought.

I got the miner from bitcoinware and hasn't work since day one. I noticed one of the screws holding the heat sink didn't have a spring behind it.

I don't know is that would be enough to cause the voltage ride through the heat sink. Take the screw out and turn it on and test for voltage on the heat sink. If it is gone go to your local radio shack and get a spring. ( Dont know why a spring would cause such a problem. If the screw is not the problem and you have some thermal paste pull that card look it over before taking it apart looking for anything that doesn't look right. Or post some pictures. If everything looks good take the heat sink off and look under the hood and see if there is anything missing broken out of place. If there fix it or post pictures. Maybe we can help. If not clean old thermal paste and apply new. Clean off heat sink and put it back together. Carfuly not smearing the paste every where. Out the card back in making sure everything is where it should be and test again. Let me know how it goes.

It sounds like you have a ground fault some where. This means something that some that has electricity is touching the heat sink when you turn it on. could be a bolt for the heat sink or a bad chip or something. Did you measure the voltage might help to lead you to the fault. Did this just start happening or did you get the miner from some one else and it was there from the beginning. Look at your fan wires and see if they are cut any where or anything else that might be touching the heat sink. More information would be nice and maybe a picture of the boards.

I have a bad capacitor on my miner. Any one got a 802 sepc 270 16 laying around? I found some online under the model number 16SEPC270M but I dont see the 802 anywhere in the specs so I do not know if I am getting the right one. So figured I would ask around here.

Thanks,

Best news I've heard all day!  Grin

Better coming in at  290.423% than at 372.958% like the last one. We are at the half way mark compared to last month.  Would sure like to hit couple more before tonight but with our luck at 56.62%  I do not foresee that happening. This was the worst month out of the last 4. Was really hoping to make enough for another s3 but maybe next month.:/
392  Bitcoin / Mining support / General P2P Node questions on: October 30, 2015, 11:42:23 PM
Could some one explain the difference from P2P node mining and stratum  pool mining? If there a difference?

Does my Latency matter where I mine? Lets say my current pool gives me a ping of 100ms but a node closer to me gives me a ping of 25 ms should I which to node mining? Does it even really matter?

If my pool is having a hard time finding a block what should I do in general. Wait it out or switch to another pool? How long should you wait before switching to another pool?

I only ask because I just don't know these answers and would really like to learn more than just buy hardware and point it here. I have only been mining for a couple of months really but still know very little of the back end of bitcoin mining. Which I want to change. So flame me if you must. But if some one would be willing to take me under their wing per say and teach me that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance for help.

DANG IT !!   Angry   What has happened to our luck?    Huh   Hey...you new miners, have you been sacrificing your chickens?    Shocked   Let's go...we need to hit some blocks!

LOL...just the ravings of an ol' fart. Enjoy Halloween everyone.    Grin

      Cool

I hear that. I think I made more off my signature campaign  than I did off mining. Makes me want to cry, but at least my signature campaign brought some btc in this week. I had Chicken Alfredo tonight so lets hope that will do something for our luck!

I have 3 s3s and a 1300w evga psu, 4 if you can find a controller.

Not trying to take over the thread but I sent you a PM Sobe. Good Luck on your purchase though.

398  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Antminer S1 on: October 22, 2015, 09:30:19 AM
These things can be had for free these days.

When I bought a miner locally, a seller wanted to give it to me for free and I even refused having free electricity.

Why would you refused if you have free electricity. Hook a bunch up and run them untill they get you enough for a s3 or s5. I wish some one would give me a bunch of s1 for free LOL I have free power.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long did it take you to make 1 BTC? on: October 20, 2015, 11:37:41 PM
It has taken me all most about 150 days to earn a full bitcoin. I really wish I would have learn about bitcoin sooner. I would be so further down the rabbit hole. Do I still have it no. Only because everything I have earned I have put back into earning more.

I started out with faucets and signature camps, and bought my first s1. and with that I  mined and fauceted till I was able get my first s3. Which now has turned into 3 s3's 1 s1 and soon to be a Bitcrane 110T. I still faucet and even made out playing in some HYIP's but so far I am up to about .05 per day as long as my pool hits a block.

So not to bad only starting out with faucets and not spending a penny of my own money, I gotta say.
400  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice Down? on: October 20, 2015, 12:13:07 AM
Yeah had not been able to open the website ,throws an error "Service not found".I heard they had some major offer like double the dices ? Maybe due to the traffic server could have crashed really not sure though .Its been a day and I'am still not able to use the service .Has it started working for anyone else ?

It is working just fine over here. Logged in and played a couple of rounds. lost my faucet but speed seems ok with very little lagg. Have you tried a different browser?

You could also just use the Primedice thread instead of creating  new one. Here is the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=208986.0
