381  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Domination: The year of Bitcoin total dominance? on: August 21, 2017, 05:27:01 PM
Any year Bitcoin goes up by 1,000% is a total dominace year for us. Cheesy

I don't even think we are at the peak. Give it a few more months and we will be over $5,000 for sure!
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO on: August 21, 2017, 05:25:10 PM
There are so many scams, why do people are keeping investing in the ICOs?  Angry
Does this way of raising money to have a future for the startups?

Not all ICO'S are scams,  there are those which are able to get huge some of money to people who invests in them, Investing into ICO is tricky business and it's always 50/50, you win it all or you lose it all.

ICOs are actually legitimate in many cases, as they are companies launching from the Ethereum platform and not some random pump and dump.

With that said, many of them indeed are scams and you need to watch out for that. This is common in the crypto world at this point.
383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: see different coins in the same chart on: August 21, 2017, 05:23:38 PM
Hi There,

Just wondering if you know any tool that would allow me to see different coins in the same chart. For example, I would like to see ETH, BTC, XRP, XEM in the same graph. Do you know any tool?
I understand that https://www.tradingview.com doesn't allow you to see this.
thanks
Evariste.

As afar as I am aware, there isn't one. What type of charts were you trying to pull up though? Based on the link you posted I am assuming you need it for trading, and like I said most of the applications I am aware of only have individual charts for each coin. Hopefully someone else can help you out more.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: next bitcoin fork in Nov? on: August 21, 2017, 05:21:02 PM
Some people are saying Segwit2x is allowing for centralization of Bitcoin. I am not sure how this is or what they mean by it. Anyone care to explain? I know it stands for "Segregated Witness".

386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset? on: August 21, 2017, 03:38:34 AM
The answer depends on the legality of Bitcoin in whatever country you are referring.

In some countries it is not regulated, therefore labelled as an asset.

In countries where it is recognized, it would be considered a foreign or virtual currency.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Theymos's list of altcoins with some technical merit on: August 19, 2017, 02:53:15 PM
How can Bitcoin be 100 and Litecoin which is a clone is 0?
It doesn't take a genius to see how that doesn't make sense.
In fact, Litecoin is BETTER than Bitcoin in many ways, considering Bitcoin continues stealing from Litecoin innovations. (i.e. Segwit, Lightning Network)
Litecoin is basically a testing coin for Bitcoin.
It is almost as though they planned it from the start to be that way.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will 1 DeepOnion be worth? on: August 18, 2017, 12:01:12 AM
Are they keep giving free coins to people? It is good marketing but dangerous. Holders would feel damaged if they bought with money. That would make it never to raise sadly.

They are not giving away free coins, but it is actually a signature campaign and you must post every week in order to get coins.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin atm on: August 17, 2017, 11:59:28 PM
That's a very brilliant idea to have soon if bitcoin atm is implemented worldwide, at least people have an option of their money which bitcoin atm brings your money to viewed as digital currency and converted it to fiat with a cash withdrawal options via atm machine. A big dream is now becoming a reality to most users of bitcoin and now its possible to everyone to learn all about it through that visionary of bitcoin atm.
Yeah right, I agree with the existence of the bitcoin ATM will increasingly facilitate us to every transaction and make it easier for us to keep the money in the form of bitcoin in foreign currency. then we should be happy if bitcoin can be implemented or be true. then we better start now learn all about it through the visionaries first.

Yes, but very few bitcoin atm and it is only limited to other countries.  If that happened that bitcoin atm will be installed worldwide, then for some reason many will know about its existence.  Like what you said it will make easier for us to keep our bitcoin in foreign currency.  Not so soon but time will tell when will that happen.

If Bitcoin ATMs were in every city, even just one then the whoel world would use Bitcoin for sure. There is no question about that it would increase in demand because everyone would know about it, want  it yet there would be no supply and the price would skyrocket. There should be a program that gives cheap ATMs at cost for the sake of growing Bitcoin... imagine how great that would be!
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we have a universal wallet? on: August 17, 2017, 11:54:45 PM
Do we have a universal wallet that we can use to any bitcoin and alcoins?

I wish! Unfortunately, no. If you want to use a bunch of different altcoins and tokens you will need to download the respective wallet clients for each one, which can be a pain but that is how it is.

It would be nice if there was a universal crypto wallet that could hold every coin/token. Oh well.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you could ask 1 Question to Satoshi Nakamoto what would you ask? on: August 17, 2017, 07:11:14 PM
If I could ask one question to Satoshi Nakomoto, I would ask what is your Bitcoin address... because no one knows how much Bitcoins he premined and maybe people are worried to join Bitcoin because they think it will be a pump-and-dump.

Personally, I do not believe so but there are rumous that his wallet contains 1,000,000 Bitcoins which would be worth a trillion dollars if the price of Bitcoin eventually reaches $1,000,000 each. Shocked
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Could Be the Answer to Stopping Climate Change on: August 17, 2017, 07:08:41 PM
When you put it that way it sounds very reasonable and seems like with using blockchain we could save the world and solve all our problems. But in real life that wouldn't be that easy. How to make companies and societies to massive use blockchain technology and how to ensure that it become dominant? Otherwise it wouldn't make much of an impact.

Right. The same could be said for the internet too. The internet has the power to stop climate change, but guess what people do not use it to stop climate change but rather update their Facebook status or post on Bitcointalk. Smiley
393  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Affiliate Programs on: August 17, 2017, 07:07:14 PM
I am in the process of building a few Bitcoin related websites and YouTube videos. As someone who has been doing affiliate marketing for a few years now I really want to dive into the Bitcoin space as a space to earn commissions. The difficulty is finding good Bitcoin related  programs that actually pay out well ( and aren't scams).

What are some of the best Bitcoin  affiliate programs that you know of?

I think faucets are a good system, or Qoinpro. You get free Bitcoin daily with Qoinpro and everyone you signup you get a percentage of their coins as well so you can make a lot of money for free.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market crash on: August 17, 2017, 07:05:31 PM
First, one should not invest all their money, or money you cant lose you cant invest !
Second, you don't have to panic because it will be unstable till 1st August. When this is all resolved and applied, I think the value will start to rise again, and pass the highest btc value reached !
It is right that high risk should not be taken but panic should not be created if there is up down in the price of currency, it is a business and we should have to think being a businessman. The up down in the price of currency is for the time being. Hopefully the price will be increased probably in August.  And we can see the sign of increasing the price of bitcoin as currently the price has started increasing now.

But due to, I think misunderstanding of the idea of investment. Some tend to put almost all of their money to BTC *along with it is faith*. They believe the something good will happen *which is really good, being optimist I guess boost the morale of a person* But, they tend to forget the things if their plan didn't work out.

In investment, Stability of one market is quite impossible to predict. Which is why it's really hard to know when to withdraw. No one knows what could really happen on August 1 on wards.
I think we should not fear August 1st. It won’t affect the value of bitcoins negatively rather would boost the values drastically. I believe we should keep investing in bitcoins. Those who have invested a big amount of capital should stay strong and loyal to their coins. After August, nothing will stop from taking a trip to moon. Good luck bitcoiners.

Tenured investors and those who really understand the market, will never invest their all money into one asset. Its always advisable to invest in multiple assets after conducting the proper research and assessment of the future risk and profit. At the moment, bitcoin is solid steady; there will be little correction but still price will not fall too much.
Don’t doubt me when I say the price won’t go down just a little, because it’s likely to go down to even half of the current price when any correction takes place. Bitcoin is not a Bank, so It is never good to invest a lot, but a little amount that you’re okay with. Not something you can’t afford to lose tomorrow.
This is the reason make me want find other asset for saving my money, I still do not like banks too because the profit I earned from this type saving can't helps me improve my life. Gold or Real Estate always best choice for me.

Realistically, Bitcoin is an amazing investment. Just because it crashes this should be expected obviously the price cannot go up exponentially forever. IT is only common sense.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: next bitcoin fork in Nov? on: August 17, 2017, 07:04:31 PM
No there will be no fork, it is settled

Are you sure about that? Where is your source?

Last I heard they were still discussing a possible fork. At this point given how much the price is increasing it seems like it would not hurt the markets, at least. I guess we shall wait and see.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: August 17, 2017, 07:03:29 PM
If you could go back in time than maybe you could consider 3 or 4 years as becoming "instantly rich", but in reality you need to wait for your return on your investment which could take a long time and not instant.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most amount of bitcoin you ever had? on: August 17, 2017, 06:46:30 PM
I made a mistake on the poll back in 2014 I owned 4 or 5 Bitcoins I think. Can't remember exactly, but then I sold them and don't even own one. :\
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Wallet Adds Ethereum To its Bitcoin Wallet Service on: August 17, 2017, 06:45:03 PM
The biggest bitcoin wallet provider Blockchain, has just added Ethereum  to its wallet services.

The wallet provider for bitcoin heeded to the plea of its users to add Ethereum to its services and now users can now send and receive Ethereum in the blockchain wallet though still in BETA mode.

This news made my day. Smiley

Downloading Ethereum wallet and all of the blocks or Mist wallet/ whatever as well as myetherwallet.com simply were not great options. I think Coinbase supported Ether as well, but my point is I am stoked that blockchain has added support because now it is easy to accept Ethereum instantly.
399  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: August 17, 2017, 06:19:44 PM
DB cleared and server rebooted. It should work now.

PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICING CODE

When I price accounts, they are way too expensive.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: August 17, 2017, 05:40:45 AM
Actually, the FBI most likely does hold the biggest number of Bitcoin. The US gov and all other govs would be unwise to at least get a piece of the pie before it hits $1,000,000... then good luck!
