381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big picture.. on: June 05, 2015, 06:30:32 PM
There are always FUDsters about but I can't help feeling bullish long term. Yes it may go down and this is very realistic and understandable with the amount of coins going on to the market each day but with the price staying fairly stable it shows btc here to stay.

Keep on buying.

This exactly...every day the price stays stable, that means 3600 more bitcoins were bought than sold. As more halvings occur, this downward pressure will be less and less. I don't anticipate bitcoin going to the moon anytime soon, but there's a lot more to it than just the price.
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin so stable now? on: May 29, 2015, 06:55:56 PM
"Why is bitcoin falling?"
"Why is bitcoin rising?"

And now:

"Why is bitcoin stable?"

And the answer always boils down to the same: supply and demand.

No shit sherlock.

Ok, to be a smart ass, let me rephrase...why is the supply and demand so equal now?

And why are there equal sells and buys right now?

Though there is actually more buying than selling when the price is stable because of the excess 3600 coins produced per day.

383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin so stable now? on: May 29, 2015, 06:24:08 PM
simple, everyone think (finally) that their precious bitcoin are worth more, so this is the right price of bitcoin now, to answer that thread that asked for it not long time ago

the few dump i believe are from miners and some casual dumpers and nothing else, whales are out of the game for now

Right... everyone sees the life being sucked out of bitcoin by superior alternatives, the real value of bitcoin is lower than it has ever been before. It's only been held up by bagholders who want to keep up a show in order to trick people to buy their bags. When a critical mass of bagholders has sold off their coins to the next fool, bitcoin will crash faster and deeper than we have ever seen before in its history.

I expected this crash already way earlier but it seems a big group has decided to coordinate this a little different and extend the period of scamming for some more profit. You can be assured bitcoins total collapse will be all over the news and many many small people with a hand in bitcoin will be hurt and lose all they have.

Get out now before you ruin your financial future!

I knew I could count on you for your usual pessimism  Wink.
384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin so stable now? on: May 29, 2015, 03:42:55 PM
Big hands are getting in, and big hands want a big piece of the pie. How to solve this without generating a ridiculous rally too soon? Keep the price low for a long time, make weak hands shake, and keep storing cheap BTC. We'll have at least 1+ year of a low price while whales stuck up on 21th century gold.

I like it...been buying cheap coins regularly for sometime now. It would be awesome to be able to continue to do so for another year  Grin.
385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone help me understand this... on: May 29, 2015, 01:20:56 PM
Well, they haven't scared me away. I believe in the future of bitcoin have been purchasing it regularly for over a year now.
386  Economy / Speculation / Why is bitcoin so stable now? on: May 29, 2015, 12:55:45 PM
Is it because all of the weak hands have finally been shaken out and people are just waiting to see what happens now? What are your opinions?
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone help me understand this... on: May 27, 2015, 06:28:15 PM
Wait until there really is a big crash. There will be hundreds of new threads created every day by newbie one post accounts. They will all predict the impending death of Bitcoin, but suddenly disappear after it starts going back up in price again.

I've definitely noticed this. One guy that only ever comes around nowadays to be a good samaritan and warn us about big crashes and possible death is kwukduck but I haven't seen him in quite sometime. Guarantee if/when we dip below 230, he'll have a new thread up about a huge crash coming. Smh.  Roll Eyes
388  Economy / Speculation / Someone help me understand this... on: May 27, 2015, 06:09:13 PM
Why is it that every day I log on here, I see at least one new thread about the death of bitcoin, bitcoin crashing, etc? This has been going on for months, and most of these idiots only have 1 post.

Is something paying these douche bags to do this? I don't get it. It's sad if these people really have nothing better to do with their time.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Are People So Pigheaded About Future Bitcoin Price? on: May 19, 2015, 11:56:51 AM
It's really starting to annoy me.

I mean, the price of bitcoin has been falling for at least 15 months. It could continue to go down, there is no guarantee it will go up.

Yet you still get all these idiots going "if it drops I will buy more" ... How much lower you want it to go ffs.

"people are waiting for the price to go even lower so they can buy more coins" ... really?
Also, since 14 Jan we are higher (4 months).

You have to take into account this too.

When BTC bottomed at 50$ after the 266$ high, it hit 65$ and people were posting threads like yours Wink

Not saying it will not go lower than 14 Jan but we have to see the market from many PoVs...

What this guy said...how can you idiots say the price is still falling? It hasn't been falling since January (4 months). If you are so negative about bitcoin why are you on a bitcoin forum?
390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upping the stakes: what if BTC gets to $5000? on: May 15, 2015, 02:31:36 PM
I would leave it as BTC. Chances are if it goes that high it will be widely usable for purchasing things; therefore, no need to cash out. Also, this way you never have to pay capital gains taxes.
391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never again be priced over $300. on: May 07, 2015, 01:40:59 PM
This thread is more bullshit than I can handle. Never over 300 again? Lmao. There is one thing I've noticed about negative people on here: they either lost a lot of money (realized losses), invested more than they could afford, or didn't make a quick buck like they thought they would.

Then again...who cares what the price is if you're investing a little bit every week for the longterm? Price has failed to retest 200 since the 160 bottom in January that was 4 months ago. That fact alone is a good sign. The longer we stay above 200 or anywhere above 160 for that matter just solidifies and reinforces that we are in an upward trend now.

392  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining and bitcoin price on: April 10, 2015, 01:42:27 PM
So to clarify, since until the next halving 3600 coins must be produced per day, then if less people mine, the current miners will have to spend a lot more on electricity because the difficulty will increase?
393  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Mining and bitcoin price on: April 10, 2015, 12:30:55 PM
I have a question, and maybe I'm overlooking something, but I've heard about the potential troubles of miners going out of business when it's no longer profitable to mine because the bitcoin price is too low. And then people say this means trouble for bitcoin. However, with less people mining, wouldn't this help push the bitcoin price up? If less coins are being mined, then less supply would be being created.

Then again I know that supposedly exactly 3600 bitcoins are produced each day. I think I might be missing something. Someone please help me understand.
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: To become a whale... on: March 06, 2015, 08:06:06 PM
...how many bitcoins do you need to possess? Just curious what people's thoughts are.
If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

That is a good one.

On a sidenote 5000-10000 btc makes you definietly a serious player Smiley

From all the answers that's the good one, really?

The thing is it does not answer the question so how is that a good one exactly?

OP never asks how many because he wants to be one,(Just curious what people's thoughts are.) is what was said..

Thank you Bralex! Damn. Some of you people are rude and probably don't even have as many bitcoins as me. In my opinion, I'd say at least 10,000 bitcoins. If I remember right, someone dumped 26,000 bitcoins last fall and it only crashed the market by like $20 bucks.
395  Economy / Speculation / Re: To become a whale... on: March 06, 2015, 06:36:11 PM
I never claimed to be a whale or that I was trying to become one...just wondered what people thought since that term is used so often on here.
396  Economy / Speculation / To become a whale... on: March 06, 2015, 05:16:18 PM
...how many bitcoins do you need to possess? Just curious what people's thoughts are.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: dump is happening on: March 03, 2015, 07:35:38 PM
OP is a troll that is always urging people to dump because the end of BTC is near. Ignore that douche bag.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best exchanges for investing in altcoins on: February 12, 2015, 08:58:55 PM
What are the best exchange(s) that allow you to purchase the biggest variety of alt coins?

I'm looking to invest in alt coins like litecoin, namecoin, etc but don't want to have to register with a ton of different exchanges.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long descent since December 2013... on: February 06, 2015, 09:04:41 PM
... that the future is going to be right.

The future is never wrong.

Haha, thanks for catching my typo.  Smiley
400  Economy / Speculation / Long descent since December 2013... on: February 06, 2015, 08:32:57 PM
...should not be a surprise. After all, Willy the bot and Markus the bot are responsible for that astronomical high of $1,100+. The market just took a while to correct itself after that. Mt Gox crashing was what really accelerated this big descent. The bots and Mt Gox started the descent and panic sellers (and yes, I'm sure other bad media attention) further accelerated it.

I think based on all of the merchants starting to accept bitcoin, the next halving coming, and good news with Coinbase, Wallstreet, Gemini, ETF, regulated exchanges, etc that the future is going to be bright.

Please share your thoughts on this.
