Can someone explain why a double bottom is not forming on the 1w charts?
maybe it is...we wont know until it breaks up (if it does) We're looking at a big booty double bottom, not one of those skinny bulimic double bottoms. Maybe something like the below bottom: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.telegraph.co.uk%2Fmultimedia%2Farchive%2F02074%2Fobese_2074995b.jpg&t=663&c=oR6gCWFHuUXugA) This lady's got the thickness. I tend to give AM a hard time due to my experiences with them, but I really do hope they can release a good product this time. I like the idea of AM they just need to fix a few things. I just do not get why they can not get a Marketing guy and some support setup for their products. Most companies struggle with making a product and the others parts are simple. AM has the exact opposite problems..
+1 on that! I chalk it up to a combination of two factors making it a very hard thing to do; Language barrier And social/professional barrier. These are niche tech guys in a start up. They probably don't know how to navigate the business support end of things, even who to ask or where to start. They are probably more worried about leaking info than pitching woo to shareholders. Maybe. Could all be part of the death of the small miner consumer... They are restructuring? You see, they would need to go over many fine details with a pr team that speaks native tounge, then get that translated, also seo and that kind of stuff... Asia and western is all different too. I disagree with the idea AM should still be making products for general consumption. PR and marketing are expensive and require high levels of trust and proven competency. We saw the headaches created in the Prisma venture and it doesn't seem to be necessary anymore. They can avoid shipping, repairs, etc, etc by building the cloud mining and self mining operations and avoid a ton of headaches. They need to carry through on the immersion tanks filled with Gen 4 chips and get as many new chips mining away as fast as possible to generate the highest potential profit out of each chip. Self mine as they offer to sell the hashs through a few a few main channels. You don't need much marketing or PR to sell potentially profitable hash rates. Concentrate fully on where you find success in your business is a good rule of thumb and I'd say so far they are doing much better with cloud mining than marketing and manufacturing products.

tl;dr: Miner’s main output is a secure network, apps will be the main driver of bitcoin’s price, speculators are healthy, and volatility should not be feared. But what about the idiot traders? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) They like to dump ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

So this company is a rip off and not worth going to for mining equipment as just come across their site and seen some attractive prices but this thread gives me a headache so unsure to buy as very mixed vibes. Anyone bought from them on here and awaiting products.
As far as I can tell, the hardware customers have been quite happy. The shareholders? Not so much.

CCM.....
I'm not falling for that one again....
Not getting excited until 500s!
Heh, I'm not getting excited until 5,000s ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Or double digits, lol ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Surpassing the last ATH has always meant going much higher in the past so that's what I would get excited about. 1163 FTW!!! [edit] Of course there is the possibility that this time could be different.

I've been spending a lot (too many hours) of my time trying to keep our mining operation functional. It appears today I lost the battle with another Monarch. The radiator has started leaking, which is pretty much the end. I'm going to play around with it to see if I can seal it myself and get it functioning again. If I can't, the best bet may be to wait for BFL to start accepting RMAs again. On that subject, lightfoot has received our Monarchs for repair and has already gotten one of them functioning (it had a "destroyed" radiator). Looks like you might get the chance to RMA soon. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/12/judge-lifts-federal-control-of-butterfly-labs-but-keeps-a-cautious-eye/I received the replacement Prisma boards from ASICMINER. 1 of the 3 replacements was bad, but I have found someone locally who is returning their good boards for a refund and we are meeting later to make a bad/good swap. I am fairly confident that I will be able to get it working once I have confirmed good boards. That brings us to the question, do we want to keep the Prisma if it is working, or do we want to send it back and get our refund? We'll end up losing about 0.2 BTC if we return it, but may never mine enough to make it worth keeping so I'm open to opinions on the subject. I will update on this when I get it operating correctly. Perhaps at that time a poll will be in order, as there is no end date on returning the Prisma yet. Get the refund and save it for the next wave of products coming out in Q1.

Why would anyone dump just after the MS announcement and right before the money hits the exchanges?
Because the bubble hasn't fully deflated yet? Huh? Check the charts we're bottoming out already. are we bottoming or is the bear bubble about to pop? YES!!!!1 bottoming!!!!!!!!! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpbs.twimg.com%2Fprofile_images%2F482543844404129792%2FuqJUnagj.png&t=663&c=Lk4M2VjN523GGg) YES!!!!BEAR BUBBLE POPPING!!!!!!!!![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftheclothesmakethegirl.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2013%2F07%2Fbear_butt.jpg&t=663&c=SNoD-4R9McUW0A)

bitcoin is dying yada, yada, yada ... go on just come out and say it once, you know you want to. The article is certainly more uninformed spin than substance. For any of us who have been around long enough, we're getting pretty used to it from the media by now. The situation has actually dramatically improved more recently. Well, it quotes bitcoiners for the stalling adoption thing, and gives some new relevant information. Like the fact that most of those new wallets created at blockchain.info are empty. Don't worry, bitcoin is chugging along just fine. Price and then media attention will lead the next big adoption wave at some point. People really need to have a longer term vision and manage their expectations.

Why that focus on ripple in the first place? My post said that because of BTC and Blockchain problems, BTC will probably be replaced by something better in the future. I just mentioned ripple because it's a protocol that tries to do something different. Because I looked through your recent post history for the reasons that bitcoin was flawed you mentioned (since you didn't give a link). Pretty much every post had something pro ripple in it. Then you come here to disparage bitcoin in the wall observer thread to say something else will displace it. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

That "pyramid scheme element" is really just incentive. Without work done to produce the unit and incentive (expectation of greater future value) to participate, why adopt? No coin will adopt to mainstream without incentive and an initial hardcore (fanatical) fan base to keep it strong until critical mass is reached. Ripple shills (meaning the ones who post in the bitcoin wall observer thread, not the ripple wall observer thread) are so excited to pronounce ripple's big (p)/(j)ump in value and at the same time proclaim volatility is a problem. You can't have it both ways. Competition is a good thing for bitcoin and it won't deserve to survive if it can't smash the competition. I'm confident it will ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
