any plan to make the 2fa work with google authenticator?

It works for me
hmm couldn't get it to work when I tried. might have to try again. whenever I tried to test it it failed.
Well 2 things:
1) After you scan the qrcode, check the settings in the app match the settings shown on the screen.
The full settings are shown there.

2) If it's android, there's an app I list to check the time on your device.
If your time is more than a few seconds wrong you'll have problems.
A few seconds will mean random failures, more than 29s will mean it will always fail.

The true google authenticator doesnt have settings for each that you can set. its just a constant rolling number that changes. I downloaded that FreeOTP app for andriod and that seemed to work.

wow hes online and only posted 2 small lines shows where his priority is

We detected the problem, fixed it, announced it publicly and right now we're preparing Hashrate Proof to let our users to check how the pool is mining. I don't think we can do more than this. To be honest, discussing *here* is not really constructive.

its not really about what you think its about what everyone else thinks about you. Knowing that this is the largest bitcoin forum as soon as the issue was found you should have been on here doing damage control.

Even a simple post saying something along the lines of that you found a problem and currently looking into the solution. and then another post with the solution what you did the fix it and how you are going to make it right for all those that got screwed by the problem. Im sure there are plenty of BTC sitting in your account to repay everyone for their lost coins during the problem time. Hell even a flat rate of repayment of .05 or so would have been better then the silence you exhibited. Or better yet force the person that did this "unintentional" (we all know it was intentional you dont have to pretend) attack to repay everyone.

it would also have been good if you release what the problem was ie X version of mining software. maybe others are running that same software and because they are smaller it doesnt trip the detection alarms. More communication would be great. Maybe collaborate with the other pool owners so they know what the issue was so that person doesnt just simply hop pools and attack another.

why not create a different worker for each miner?

wouldn't that allow you to see which ones might be having an issue/offline. which would also let your use the auto-diff from the pool instead of using the manual diff.

i like having separate workers for each miner as it lets me see/track the changes in shares/hash rate of each as i fine tune/tweak each miners frequency. Slowly tweaking the frequency up/down to find the optimal hash/stability.
ie one of my s7s only likes stock frequency the other likes more power and still wanting more.

when you have as much traffic as kano does on his servers you have to sometimes reboot them to clear memory issues on the server

as well as code upgrades for his database / proxy settings and everything else ...

almost all the time that a restart happens its for the better of the pool

Like he said most code wont take effect till the server/services is restarted or the application itself is restarted. This prevent unwanted changes from going live instantly that could impact the server.

Sometime a restart is done as well to sync mutiple servers when they are aet up in an always on configuration.

Cant delete just gotta let them expire and go inactive as it only shows active workers for last 7 days.

its my fault. rented 100th for the day. and as soon as my rental started the coins dried up. seems everytime i try to cash in on block friday it fails. no more rentals for me for now.

It would be too late anyways. If you rented 100TH today, it wont' go in effect for almost 2 days anyways.
it started right away. ran for 6 hrs.

That's not how 5nd works. You wouldn't get the full 100TH payment until the 5nd is reached.
never it was. I know how 5nd works. but it would be nice to hit a block while renting the higher hash to subconsciously think it helped. Plus who doesn't the joy of seeing that rented power help the pool crack those blocks faster.

its a bit manual but you could always export the daily block numbers into excel and then add the payment from that block to keep a daily total.

honestly i stopped looking at day to day and go on a bi weekly timeline much easier to reconcile as payments aren't normally sent out the same day they are found.

right from wiki:
"Electronic spamming is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited messages (spam), especially advertising, as well as sending messages repeatedly on the same site."

basically posting useless posts about nothing related to the actual topic.

These are all batch 3-4-5 so.. thats why the price is to high

still not worth paying double for what they go for. hell flea bay is better priced then this and they are usually insanely priced.

I do wonder what the hell an "Almost Block" is?
It's a result of "almost mining", like "Oops, I was almost mining at slush until I did some actual research."

Many things to ponder here, but it's the little things that get me, like if the thread title can't bother to be updated with the pool hash rate in who knows how long, what does that say?  Says a lot to me.

the thread title is there to let you know how much is being used for the withholding attack.

Just need to make sure we do another pool restart in 4hrs.  =)

4hrs?? hell if a restart brings blocks then do a restart every 10 mins...lol

sounds like slush is putting a band-aid on a broken leg.

First the issue of the stealing miner is swept under the rug, now he is adding these "almost blocks" sounds like another way for him to steal more money from his users by calling them almost blocks instead of stolen blocks from the "misconfigured" miner.

BTW where is the reimbursement to all the miners that had coins stolen from them from this supposed "misconfigured" miner.

o ya i know where it went.. right into slush's pocket.

seems like it. maybe he ran into an issue again? maybe another pool restart and block will fix it. Smiley
