No lie, this was operating at nearly 800GH  Shocked

ya can get nearly 1th/s with the proper cooling Wink
382  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: A beginners quest... on: July 17, 2014, 11:04:29 PM
well since ya missed the gpu boat on btc...you still could hop on the gpu boat for X11...no idea what profits would be on there, but it would get you started somewhere...

you sure you want 5kw heater in your basement? really gets the whole house nice n toasty in the summer unless you find a way to vent the heat...then in winter it is nice having a toasty house w/o running a furnace hehe...I've sweated dearly for every bitcent i've mined...until recently...i paid bout 130 bucks n bought some plywood n huge ass fan to get said heat out of the basement Wink and trust me, think family will be happy with the noise generated? if ya did get a SP30...even in basement...i'm pretty sure the noise would come thur the vents and tempers would flair hehe...I know i've pissed off my wife a few times with my loud fans...

well good luck to ya, ya can always just start small and just keep reinvesting what ya mine into new hardware...thou that will probably be slow n time consuming

Haha yes this worries me a bit too tbh, the idea of summertime and massive heaters in the basement running 24/7 Cheesy But these heaters produce money as a biproduct so I guess it will be just like working in a realy hot gold mine (maybe near a volcanoe? haha)
Luckily I have a AC unit upstairs so when it gets realy bad ill just go to my bedroom and turn on the AC for a bit until I am no longer in danger of death from overheating hahaha...
I dont know about the noise yet because the basement is pretty massive and has huge steel and concrete structure (think bombshelter)... I just think I will need some soundproofing for the doors and it should be alright...

The X11 is actually a realy good idea, thank you for that! I will give it a try overnight and see what my GPU (Nvidia unfortunately) can pull out... who knows? Maybe iŽll be able to get my first ever cryptocoin?! Smiley
Is there any specific X11 altcoin you can recommend?

nope, I haven't tryed X11 yet...sold off all my gpus...now wishing i hadn't done that..oh well they paid for themselves and then some Wink

389  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Approximately 13Th for Sale (US only) on: July 17, 2014, 01:06:41 AM
If anyone is interested on going in on these PM me with how many you would want. I would like at least 3 for myself, maybe more depending on the price. If there is enough interest I'd be wiling to buy them and then split up. I can also host them for a fair price as I have cheap energy now that our solar is all hooked up.

i'd take a box off ya if ya did Smiley depending on price n hosting fee Wink
390  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 5 less than 90 day old Antminer S1's on: July 17, 2014, 12:42:41 AM
I know almost nothing about forums, so please excuse me if this is in wrong place or something.
I've 5 near new Antminer S1's, got them from Amazon in end of may. They have an added 97cfm fan on the rear and have set in front of a window a/c unit always. They are currently overclocked, and run fine. would like to sell them for .25 BTC ea. Or would consider any reasonable offer.  If your in the continental U.S. I live in the middle of the Country and will ship to wherever ,in original shipping boxes  for free. Will reset units to original specs before shipping. And the extra fans come w/ them.
Would post pics if I knew how. I assume you'd have to pm me if interested.

willing to escrow? remember to always escrow people Wink
391  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] KNC Jupiter ~700GH Ships from Canada; Warranty ends November on: July 17, 2014, 12:40:35 AM

392  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: July 16, 2014, 11:22:26 PM
I see no outages or anything out of the ordinary on this side.  Also, a pool wide issue is generally easily noticed in the pool hash rate graph... which shows no issues in the recent history, either.

so when you said awhile back, the reason for my dc's from pool was cause of being ddos'd, would that show up on pool hashrate as well? or does it only happen to a few ppl here and there for some reason?
393  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: July 16, 2014, 08:51:21 PM
Is anyone else having connectivity issues or is a problem in my DC?

no problem here...sometimes my hosted miners drop connection for a few mintues but come back...my home miners are rock steady on here thou...hosted in china...thank god for backup pools Wink

and wow our 90 day luck has gone upto 100.35%...we're beating guild at something Wink hehe course theirs is 4 month avg...mine only goes 90days so idk what our 4month would be...
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 16, 2014, 02:16:18 AM
Apologies if this has been asked before, which option in your opinion is better?

Hash while you are waiting,
Neptune or
Titan ?

Thanks ....

if it were me i'd pick neptune...least then you'll hopefully get it in august or sometime around there...with titan who knows when knc will ship it...member they have to mine on it first to get as much money as they can before giving it too you Wink upto you really but imho the neppy is the safest bet...don't even think about hwyw
395  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 10x Gridseed miners + pi + all cables and usb hub on: July 16, 2014, 01:55:47 AM

397  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 94.5 mhs A2 terminator for sale - $5950 free shipping within the USA on: July 16, 2014, 01:49:13 AM
I got your PM.
What escrow services do you offer?

Please post them here, don't send them through PM.

Thanks.

Now i get why you talked about a pm that I have not sent.

Yeah you're right.  I actually didn't notice it the first time.

Just about bit on that one... damn....

he must have offered a super sweet deal lol

There are some chinese guys who pretend they are every single miner seller on the forum trying to scam people.  they will clone your user name, skype id etc.  too hard to stop these scammers

amen to that...one guy got raped by a virus from one of those scammers Sad but he did run the program w/o AV and had a password file list "on" his computer...so feel bad about his lost as you want Wink

and it won't stop either...why stop trying to scam ppl when its so easy to make 1000's of dollars doing nothing but sitting at a computer Sad oh well...i hope karma gets every last one of them!!
398  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS My pre-orders (sick of waiting and wasting time) on: July 16, 2014, 01:43:54 AM

399  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [For Sale] Scrypt A2 Terminator - 86mhs - $5750 on: July 16, 2014, 01:39:20 AM
Not hurting anyone...  If you feel it is so low why don't you post a better price you'd pay. This is how markets are made.

Did not say you were. Was more of a compliment on your bargain shopping abilities, because you win some once in a while.

i just got almost 80mh/s for 5.06 btc Grin do i get a compliment on my bargain shopping? hehe Wink ya you win some once in a while...but the long road to get there doesn't help Tongue
