381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: December 04, 2020, 04:10:16 AM
I know, many people will be interested in investing in bitcoin when the price is very bullish, then there will be FOMO as well.
Because when bullish in price, many people benefit from it. Even from that, bitcoin will now reach for ATH.
Look at the price today it’s $19,374, almost $20K. But if you are going to buy at the price of bitcoin today, it is expensive; I think.
But I don’t know if he’s going to correct it, maybe that’s appropriate if you buy it.

As long as you can buy it, that is fine.

We don't know if the price keep on increasing, will it continue after it reach the ATH? Will it stay there? Will it fall? When will it fall if it does? Time passes by and if you can buy Bitcoin, you can. There is nothing wrong buying at this price since we are not certain when will it fall but if you invested earlier, that would be better.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: does it really make sense trading on Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2020, 03:24:27 AM
It is actually convenient trading bitcoin especially when you focus on a single exchange, buy low then sell high, taking profits at every strides. It is easy because you get to study, monitor and check price alerts only for btc pairs. With consistency, you can take profits well

That still depends.

Does that person have that time to be able to check price charts and exchange so that he can take advantage of the changes that are happening? Does he know that it is a falling point or an increasing point so he can decide whether he will invest or ge will sell it? It is hard and if that person didn't know that, he will regret it.
383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I study to learn how to trade? on: December 03, 2020, 09:59:14 AM
if you want to learn about how to trade, you can watch it on youtube,
many youtube channels provide education about it, or maybe you can see some price predictions in trading view.
please do any way that suits for you.

I think you should also try other sources.

Youtube might be one of the most popular sources of tutorials and tips about trading but you should also find other sources where you could compare strategies and analysis. Here in the forum, there are a lot of knowledge and skills you could pick up, a lot of nice trader and investor here that share their experience that could help us.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: December 03, 2020, 08:39:06 AM
I think that gambling is an entertainment for me if I don't play with too much money. Because I don't make a living from it and I don't want it too. I just play sometimes for fun and see if I can make some profit.

Its good for you if you play for fun else you need to have lot of money so that even if you happen to lose you are still better and can manage your life easily. Problem arises when you just play for money and in process lose as not easy to always win it and then you just keep playing in anticipation of recover. This is a vicious cycle and just keeps on continue and this is a sign if you cannot control or start to stay away form it that you are now hooked upon t and getting addicted which is another dangerous thing.

That is harder than you thought.

If you can't even control yourself from stopping your activities in gambling, how can you even say that you are addicted, right? That is the problem with addiction, yourself can't tell whether you are addicted or not, all you know is you are having fun and that is what matters. That is why without other people's help, it would be so hard. All of us started with entertainment, some of us got lost in addiction.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: December 03, 2020, 08:22:59 AM
I think I can do most of what the OP said but I think what I find difficult is the second one the one with the stop chasing losses usually I write down my losses and try to recover it but I think the OP is right we should not chase our losses.

One of the most popular mistakes we've done in the past.

You already lost when you think of chasing for your losses, you should immediately stop if that became your goal. Our goal is to have fun, to be entertained while we risk our money into these games. I think we can also call that greedy since we are thinking we could take it all back and just take back the time lost with wins.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 03, 2020, 05:53:57 AM
What are the chances of a gambler predicting that hash number?
6.25% = 1 choice out of 16 characters as explained by milewilda.

The 0% house edge can be considered as a "bait" to lure in players but the casino will still win in the end since the game difficulty is much higher compared to other casinos with house edge. While it looks legit, other players may still view this as deceitful.

More reason a lot of people are actually not playing here.

It may be much higher than the Lottery but still, not that easy. Another thing is that despite people betting on marble, yes marbles, I think they won't be that inclined to ber on this since it is about the Blockchain. For them it is boring and I agree that it has a few customers. Maybe other games with the same house edge?
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do we see the price of bitcoin after 3 decades on: December 03, 2020, 04:41:24 AM
That is a long year in this market.

We can't even predict what will exactly happen after 1 or 2 years, let alone 3 decades. I hope that Bitcoin will be having that adoption it deserves in that year especially that Paypal started to accept it. That 3 decades might be the years where Bitcoin is prominent in online transactions and where alternatives would be emerging.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa is getting more interested in Crypto on: December 03, 2020, 03:39:42 AM
We are expecting this to happen.

Paypal is one of the most popular payment method in the world right now, obviously most of the places, stores or merchant that are using Paypal would consider Bitcoin and maybe other cryptocurrencies too. Paypal is the start of the adoption that we are waiting for, its been a long run.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2020, 01:45:50 AM
IMO, the biggest threat to bitcoin is the community itself, especially the one who are not well-educated about bitcoin. By mentioning community, I mean all the people who involved on this field, directly and indirectly.
When a missleading information about bitcoin shared by this kind of people, it could be repeated massively, and become a truth/fact. Just like how 2 bankers that I saw in separete times thinks bitcoin is a kind of MLM  Grin.
Imagine this “well-educated” people on financial sector can make their customers/clients believe in their words about bitcoin easily.

But that could be turned around immediately, right?

This community knows what is Bitcoin and what is not. There are a lot of threads they can read here in the forum and I think they trust the words of the people here rather than the words of other people talking about Bitcoin being a scam or a Ponzi scheme.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2020, 12:22:00 PM
All I see is whales and the government.

With a lot of people using Bitcoin, I think if the government would limit their use of Bitcoin they would be having a hard time selling and buying them. Despite being decentralized, lesser users mean lower demand means lower price. In terms of price, I think hackers and scammers could also be a threat to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Non-Standard Casino Games on: December 02, 2020, 06:15:00 AM
How about sportsbetting?

I know that it is not that interesting to some gamblers but if you watch some sports, it is good to bet on this and it is not that boring even if you are betting for long since not all things happened or end up with the same results and it might not go as you've planned but for me, it is not boring or annoying for me since I know that it is just how the game goes.

What are the chances of a gambler predicting that hash number?

Another thing is that really enjoyable for those users? That kind of game that would make the customer go back. While other games have a higher house edge their games are more exciting and thrilling that despite the fact that these online casinos have 0% house edge, they would just pick higher house edge with entertaining games and players.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bangladesh going to accept Cryptocurrency??? on: December 02, 2020, 02:18:31 AM
India accepted Bitcoin, why not Bangladesh, right?

They are being strict when it comes to Bitcoin but they should set it all down and think about it. I don't see their reason for prohibiting it there as it might be a source of income for some people. Though we may say things here, it will all end up in their hands either to continue on prohibiting Bitcoin or accept it, hope they chose the latter.
394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is your unforgettable experience in trading? on: December 01, 2020, 11:48:02 AM
There are a lot of memorable experiences but there is one I can't forget.

It is not directly trading but my Mom heard that I am investing and trading Bitcoin. That is the time that news reported that cryptocurrencies are being used as a scam by some people and they thought I will be scammed if I continue. Right now I send them some of my fiats which I got from selling my Bitcoin because I want to make them feel that they are wrong. They already told their sorry and I do understand their part since they still don't have that knowledge about cryptocurrencies still, I can't forget that since that is a proof of my profits I am getting from trading and also investing.
395  Economy / Speculation / Re: TO THE MOON! on: December 01, 2020, 09:35:52 AM
The price is really amazing.

It fell back and I thought it would just stay at $16K or $17K but it didn't, it is now at $19.4K and it might still go strong going for a new ATH this year. We should talk advantage of these movements so we won't have any regrets in the upcoming months. We've been waiting for this price for so long, never thought that it would be reached in this year where a lot of things happened.
396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: December 01, 2020, 08:51:20 AM
People who buy bitcoin are the ones who move and manipulate the price of bitcoin, but whales are sometimes the reason when bitcoin is making a huge movement to its price because they are the ones who hold the large number of bitcoins. It is why when the price is high they start to sell their bitcoins, and if when the price is low they start to buy bitcoins.

We all know this but to be honest, all of the dumps that happened in the past were either because of hackers hacking exchanges and these hackers and scammers dumping it to mixers.

We can't call them whales because all of those cryptocurrencies were just stolen or scammed. Some of the upward movement is because of some group or an individual buying Bitcoin. I don't know if there is an actual person or an individual that actually sold or manipulated the price but we know that it is a possibility, we just don't know if that actually happened.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life, gambling and trials. on: November 22, 2020, 11:32:55 AM
So, what do you guys do with the gambling money you get when you win the bet.

Nothing fancy, to be honest.

I do gamble but I don't want to waste that much money on it so whenever I win I just kept that money in the online casino that I am in so I could use that if I fancy myself some bets. I am not expecting much from my bets since there are times where I am overwhelmed by some win streaks and I end up regretting some decisions I made despite the small amount I am wagering.
I think what you lack is managing your expectations where in you are experiencing a greed when you play gambling that leads you to make bad decision; resulting you to lose some of your gains. Whenever I do some gambling, I always have a limit or I can say daily targets for example, today I will play slots and my daily target is to win $100, If I win that money later then I will immediately stop playing and withdraw it even though I still have momentum. I just following my plan for me to manage my expectations and also manage my greed. I place a limit to myself because there are times that becoming too greedy wherein I returning back all of my profits in the casino.

I think we are just the same.

That "times" happens to me but not that much the reason I say, "there are times". Like you where you have that times that you are becoming too greedy, that is what I meant. In my opinion, I am not lacking anything since based on what you've said, you also have that times which means I am not the only one, right?

399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 22, 2020, 08:42:48 AM
We regularly attempted to recuperate we lose cash when starting the new rounds and afterward we take loads of wrong decisions which lead us to a frenzy and we lost again.

It is really hard for other gamblers.

They can't control themselves. The time that you find a good time to stop but still continue to do your bets is the start of your wrong decisions. Instead of grabbing that win, you give more chances for the house to win back that money hence giving you losses that might trigger continuous losses until you are out of founds. A lot of regrets happen after that.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used instead of paper money on: November 22, 2020, 08:00:12 AM
We never know what might happen but still, I don't think that Bitcoin will be replacing fiats.

With the fiats still used despite the transmission of the virus, this pandemic proves that digital currencies can help lessen this kind of problem in the next few years. New diseases will emerge and online transactions would be of big help. Still, fiat will overcome as there are a lot of mobile wallets for fiat. I think in terms of investment, that would be the place where people would prefer Bitcoin instead of paper money.
