381  Economy / Speculation / Re: WPCS NASDAQ STOCK + BITCOIN! on: December 27, 2013, 06:37:32 PM
It's more hyped than anything for this company.  I just don't see how they'll succeed on a large scale at this moment.  Each exchange has its idiosyncrasy (MtGox can't withdraw fiat, good luck with BTCChina with all these deposit issue plus China's currency control), they'll constantly be out of reserve or have their money trapped.  Other than regulatory challenge, another issue bitcoin exchange faces is security, DDOS / hacking, by doing what they are trying to do, the risk of getting hacked increases dramatically as they ought to have funds / BTC at the exchanges, and any of one of their linked exchanges getting hacked will open them up to huge losses.

383  Economy / Securities / Re: Virtex VTX trading disabled on: December 24, 2013, 03:33:44 PM
I do use Virtex and liked it, but I am quite concerned as financials were never released, and sounds like they are looking for new capital which will only dilute the thing further.  Current valuation is about 1x trading revenue.
384  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC China Endgame?? on: December 21, 2013, 05:32:34 PM
I'm quite surprised the gap between Chinese BTC prices and BTC prices elsewhere is rather low.  People must be finding a way of bypassing the capital control.
385  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: December 19, 2013, 05:24:03 PM
Lending offers and credit request somehow are not matching.......
386  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CoinLenders Lawsuit on: December 17, 2013, 05:17:19 AM
I don't think that's relevant, there are legitimate losses and defaults, but most believe that the whole CL thing is just a scam.

388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 13, 2013, 04:13:49 AM
It seriously doesn't look good for my btc short position now, looks like I'm going to get busted there heavily. Only some big dump could save me.

I should know better when I saw those big ask walls on Stamp and Bitfinex at 840-850 being eaten in no time. Big mistake.

Tomorrow's Friday, you may get your Friday dump.

That's why I went short in first place but it keeps getting further from me so far. Shorted it too fucking early. I've made 3.5k$ shorting btc yesterday but I'm like 4.5-5k in losing position today.

Short more! "average up"!  Cheesy

392  Economy / Speculation / Re: It looks like $700 is the new $150 on: December 08, 2013, 08:08:52 PM
This is going to be tested very soon...  Wink

Do you see the buy orders waiting to be filled ? Good luck  Wink

https://www.cavirtex.com/news

Perhaps more buy orders on the way?

Starting to look like December could be a very exciting month.

cavirtex has so much constraint about money flow.  it won't drive a thing, only Canadians interested in arbing will use it.

Following balance

I refused his settlement proposal as I would get only 10% back and consider I deposit those coin post hack, I find that unacceptable.  Does accepting coins post hack be classified as a fraud or not.
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see Bitcoin in 5 years? on: November 27, 2013, 10:29:08 PM
why using scrypt is inferior?

So you are saying that LTC now being 30 USD is a pure bubble because it doesn't even come close to the miner/developer/user network built around it right?

Of course it is!

I don't know of a single thing I would buy with Litecoins at this point in time whereas I do spend Bitcoins on real things quite a bit.

Litecoin is a crypto-currency speculative bubble based on the speculative bubble in another crypto-currency.

Litecoin is the mother of all bubbles!

(yes, I am profiting from it.......so far anyways)

Ok, but if you look at the long term, why won't merchants start accepting it like they started accepting bitcoins?
Why don't you think ltc is a great buying opportunity for the long term?
I don't say you are wrong just trying to understand.

Because BTC is already there. Its like saying why don't websites suddenly switch all their HTTPS to port 70. It would be weird and random. Especially considering it uses scrypt making it inferior.
395  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: November 27, 2013, 08:36:04 PM
this sounds so much like mtgox.

No it doesn't... mtgox has bank troubles, BTC can be transferred anytime.

I'm referring to the aspect that they can't even talk about what's going on.
396  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: 见证历史性一刻,比特币突破1000美元。快来留名。 on: November 27, 2013, 04:10:23 PM
$400000 USD!

21000000 BTC 將等於所有黃金!
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tired of 1000$ on: November 27, 2013, 03:11:29 PM
I want $400k.

399  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: 预测本轮底部 on: November 21, 2013, 05:04:09 AM

Grin

這可便宜了香港和奧門人

500 USD 守得很硬

內容是負面還是正面?

是不是官方打遏的先兆?
