Странно что посол Propy делает в Нигерии. Как я понял, это полностью украинский проект с украинской командой. Какой смысл обучать местных селян особенностям децентрализованного рынка недвижимости, они явно не похожи на потенциальных инвесторов. Славянская Команда Humaniq тоже делает периодические туры в Африку, с буклетами и брошурами, i have a bad feeling about this.

I`m a little bit confused,  what Propy`s ambassador is doing in Nigeria. Propy is completely Ukrainian project as i understand, with Ukrainian team. What the point to teach local villagers about luxury real estate market? The same situation with humaniq team, they are also post soviet team, and trying to solve problems in Africa. That's a little weird for me, these local people don`t look like paying clients.

Crypto Future belongs to altcoins, that can give it`s holders passive income, like populous. The whitepaper contains one of the smartest accounting model i`ve ever seen. Today was seen the highest market cup for Populous $1,165,474,955 USD, it is  in TOP20 on CoinMarketCap site.  A bit of an unexpected price pump, it is because of Beta Launch, PXT Airdrop? Way to go, PPT, way to go.
384  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-11] Bitcoin Will be Legal, Mining to See Regulation: Russia’s Deputy Fi on: December 11, 2017, 10:10:43 AM
Russia’s deputy finance minister Alexei Moiseev has reportedly stressed that buying bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be legal in the country.

The Russian government will not outlaw nor punish buying or selling cryptocurrencies, Moiseev revealed according to RT. However, the official underlined a stricter stance toward mining, suggesting a mandatory registration of cryptocurrency miners who would be limited to ‘legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.’ For others, cryptocurrency mining could be criminalized.

The official reportedly stated:
Quote
The penalties will be different, mostly administrative, but if someone created the cryptocurrency for the purpose of settlements, then there will be a criminal punishment.

Operators who mine cryptocurrencies for the creation of a financial pyramid or for the purposes of avoiding tax will also see criminal penalties, Moiseev added.

Notably, Moiseev has stressed that the buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies would be legal in Russia. While there are no rules or laws toward bitcoin trading or mining in Russia presently, a mandate from Russian president Vladimir Putin has pushed for the development of a regulatory framework for initial coin offerings (ICOs) and cryptocurrency mining in Russia. In a mid-October meeting between Putin and major Russian financial regulators, the Russian leader reportedly signed off on officially regulating both the mining and supply of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

“[W]e agreed that the state should control the process of cryptocurrency emission and its circulation. The state should take control over it,” Russian finance minister Anton Siluanov said at the time. “I won’t speak about specific parameters now but in general we agreed that the state should take a lead in this process and to regulate it on the legislative level.”

Regulators are also drawing plans to impose limits on cryptocurrency purchases. An early draft bill calls for a maximum limit of 100,00 rubles (approx. $1,750) per individual. A ceiling of 600,000 rubles ($10,370) is also under consideration.

Further, Siluanov confirmed that the bill to regulate cryptocurrencies in Russia “will be ready” before the end of 2018.

385  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-11] Dave Chapman: Bitcoin $100,000 And ETFs Are Probable on: December 11, 2017, 09:42:05 AM
Dave Chapman, managing director at Octagon Strategy, was interviewed by CNBC’s Squawk Box after the futures market had opened regarding Bitcoin. His comments included a six-figure price point by the end of 2018, and more interesting use cases forthcoming.

The digital asset trader made it clear that the recent run up in values only indicates the potential for more in the future, with mainstream adoption just beginning to come online. Crossing over $100,000 would be a massive psychological barrier, but Chapman believes it's possible. He said:

Quote
“In terms of looking forward, I would say that throughout the continuation into 2018, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a six-figure headline.”

Don’t miss the big picture

However, Chapman also indicated that the most interesting aspects of Bitcoin were not its price, but its many use cases as the market continues to mature. Because of the inclusivist nature of Bitcoin, the bigger picture about access to financial applications should predominate thinking. He said:

Quote
“The price to me is probably the most uninteresting component of Bitcoin. I’m more excited about the applications…about what this means to people who don’t have access to financial inclusion. And I think that if we focus on the price, we’re losing track of the big picture.”

Finally, Chapman concluded the interview with a chuckle, saying that he would ‘happily’ go on the record to bet that a Bitcoin ETF was in the near future, as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the futures markets.

387  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-09] First Bitcoin Dispute Due for Trial in Singapore on: December 09, 2017, 09:38:29 AM
The first legal trial involving bitcoin is due to take place in Singapore at the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC).

In May, electronic market maker B2C2 is reported to have sued bitcoin exchange operator Quoine over the issue of trades that were allegedly wrongfully reversed, The Strait Times writes. Earlier this week, a summary judgement was heard by SICC International judge Simon Thorley with B2C2 seeking to recover 3,084.78582325 bitcoins from Quoine. The electronic market marker alleges that the bitcoin exchange operator’s breach of trust ‘deprived it of the opportunity to sell the proceeds on the date of their highest intermediate value.’

However, Thorley declined to grant summary judgement, directing the case for trial. This will determine whether B2C2 can either recover the bitcoins requested or the value of the coins taking into account any increase since the trade order took place.

On the 19th April, B2C2 is reported to have placed orders on Quoine’s exchange to sell ethereum for bitcoin at a price of 10 bitcoin for one ethereum. This resulted in B2C2 paying 309.2518 ethereum for 3,092.517116 bitcoins. The digital currency was then credited to B2C2 the same day. Yet, Quoine has been accused of reversing the proceeds the following day. The exchange is reported to have said to B2C2 that it was allowed to do so due to the fact that the trades were ‘mostly trades with huge mark-up over fair global market price.’ Apparently, Quoine are claiming that the average market price that day was only about 0.03929075 bitcoin for one ethereum.

B2C2 are arguing that the digital currency exchange operator ‘acted fraudulently’ because the agreement stated that an order was ‘irreversible’ once completed. According to Quoine, B2C2 is ‘being opportunistic and seeking to profit from a technical glitch.’ B2C2 is seeking equitable compensation ‘based on the highest intermediate value of the proceeds in U.S. dollars between the date of the breach and the date of the judgment.’

At the time of the trade proceeds, the total amount of bitcoin against the U.S. dollar was valued at $3.78 million. Since then, though, the digital currency has seen its price sky rocket in recent months due to increased investor interest and favourable market events on Wall Street. As a result, the cryptocurrency’s wild ride saw its value increasing to an impressive $17,203 in the early hours of Friday. Based on this figure, the trade proceeds would have swelled to over $53 million.

Something crazy going with ethereum blockchain and etherdelta right now. I just sent withdrawal transaction within etherdelta account, with a help of ethgasstation.info calculations. I should be paid 0.5$ but, but it costs me 1.5$.

It scares me to do operations on etherdelta, it is 1.5$ fee now, for few coins transfer, what may happen if it would be more substantial sum.

ethgasstation.info handles with very approximate data.
390  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-08] Ron Paul’s Survey: Over 50% Favor Bitcoin as Long Term Investment on: December 08, 2017, 10:40:54 AM
Former Texas Representative Ron Paul has conducted an online survey on December 6, 2017, which showed that majority of the respondents would choose a cash ‘gift’ in the form of the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin if they could not get hold of it for 10 years. Only 2% of the respondents opted to receive the gift in US dollars.

Results of the survey

As of press time, 55,900 people have participated in the survey. Of the total polled, 53% claimed that they would opt to accept the money as Bitcoin, while 37% would take it as gold, and just 2% want it in dollars.

Eight percent of the respondents, meanwhile, claimed that they want to receive the money in a 10-year US Treasury bond.

In his response to Paul, entrepreneur Rodolfo Novak tweeted that he also favors Bitcoin as gold is no fun anymore:

“Bitcoin. Gold is no fun anymore.”

Growing support for Bitcoin

The results of the survey showed that there are a growing number of people who are beginning to appreciate the number one cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

Paul, meanwhile, has become an ardent endorser of Bitcoin. In fact, he has advised consumers to invest their money in Bitcoin-based retirement investments, and told legislators to refrain from introducing heavy-handed virtual currency regulations.

His son, Rand Paul, is also famous for accepting Bitcoin donations for his political campaigns.

391  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-08] The Bulgarian Government Is Sitting on $3 Billion in Bitcoin on: December 08, 2017, 08:31:30 AM
A crackdown on organized crime by Bulgarian law enforcement in May resulted in the seizure of more than 200,000 bitcoins – an amount worth more than $3 billion at today's prices.

According to a press release dated May 19 from the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC), a regional organization comprised of 12 member states including Bulgaria, a total of 213,519 bitcoins were seized that month. Twenty-three Bulgarian nationals were arrested during the operation, and officials said at the time that the arrests and subsequent asset seizures followed an investigation into an alleged customs fraud scam.

As of press time, the amount seized is worth approximately $3.3 billion, at a price of roughly $15,524, according to CoinDesk's Bitcoin Price Index (BPI).

Authorities commented at the time:

"The offenders choose the bitcoin way of investing/saving the money, because it is rather difficult to be tracked and followed."

They further alleged that those involved developed a virus which was used to hack into Bulgarian Customs computers, allowing the perpetrators to skip paying fees when transporting goods into the country. The virus was uploaded to government machines by bribed agents, according to the release.

In all, the alleged perpetrators avoided paying some 10 million leva (Bulgaria's national currency), worth roughly $6 million.

What remains unclear at this time is what the Bulgarian government is doing with the seized bitcoins.

According to a report from Bivol.bg from Nov. 28, the Bulgarian government declined to release further details, citing an ongoing criminal investigation.

Notable in the May 19 release is a notation that, at the time it was published, a single bitcoin was worth $2,354. The release stated that the total amount seized was worth $500 million – less than one-sixth of its current value today.

Any status update of etherium network for now? Since yesterday I cant even send my tokens on etherdelta and today I send some tokens on hitbtc and when I check the txt status it says unable to locate transaction hash, I just increased the gas and still the same.

Maybe better not to send any transactions right now, till Etherium team solve "cat" problem. I had the same problems on etherdelta yesterday, no ttx approval, unable to locate hash, increasing gas not solve the problem. How it is possible that such respectable blockchain network was put on his back by simple game?

394  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-07] Bitcoin Price Breaks $15,000, Hits Quarter Trillion Market Cap on: December 07, 2017, 11:41:25 AM
Bitcoin price exploded to a new record high on Thursday to climb above $15,000 for the first time in history.

Bitcoin’s remarkable gains continue with few signs of fatigue as the world’s first cryptocurrency broke new ground to soar past a dizzying $15,000 per coin on prominent US-based exchange Coinbase.

On the back of strong trading session through the early hours of Thursday (UTC), bitcoin rose to a new all-time high of $15,245 (Coinbase). In major markets like that of Korea, bitcoin price surged to a USD equivalent of $17,000. The extreme premiums underline the unprecedented demand and appetite for the decentralized currency that is resoundingly seen as a store of value for investors, beyond its utility as a currency.

At press time, trading data on CoinmarketCap (which factors-in global trading markets with price premiums) shows price reaching above $15,300, a gain of over 18.5% on the day. With today’s bull run, bitcoin’s market cap is now above $250 billion – over a quarter of a trillion dollars.

If bitcoin were dropped into the M1 index (the Liquid or narrow money metric), it would rank at #18 on the global list, above the likes of Australia and Russia.

Since the turn of the year, bitcoin is now up 1400%.

395  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-07] Alan Greenspan Likens 'Irrational' Bitcoin to Civil War Currency on: December 07, 2017, 11:32:44 AM
The former chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan, has joined the many financial luminaries to recently criticize bitcoin's value.

Speaking to CNBC, Greenspan compared bitcoin to that of an early American form of money called "Continental currency" that came into use in 1775 and had become worthless by 1782. The paper-based legal tender was used at the time of the American Revolution and was not backed by a commodity such as gold.

Noting that bitcoin will likely suffer similar fate, Greenspan said that a "significant share" of  Continental currency was still used to create "real goods and services," even though it had no ultimate worth.

He continued:

Quote
"Bitcoin is really a fascinating example of how human beings create value, and is not always rational ... It is not a rational currency in that case."

Greenspan's comments come as the value of a bitcoin is soaring beyond most expectations, having gained thousands of dollars in value in the last two days. At press time, a bitcoin is worth over $15,000, according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index.

The meteoric gains have prompted many figures in the financial industry to speak out, calling the bitcoin market a bubble. JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon even went so far as to call the largest cryptocurrency by total market value a "fraud."

396  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-06] $13,200: Bitcoin Price Defies All Expectations… Again on: December 06, 2017, 01:48:41 PM
The Bitcoin price is continuing on its unparalleled trajectory higher as Wednesday’s new all-time highs reach $13,200.

According to average exchange data from Coinmarketcap, Bitcoin was trading just under $13,000 at press time, having corrected after breaking the barrier for the first time.

A new record has become an almost daily occurrence for Bitcoin over the past week, with prices exploding 50 percent from $9,000 just days ago.

Cointelegraph reported yesterday as prices passed $12,000 that the imminent onset of regulated futures trading was a major driving factor for incoming investment.

As prices continue to grow, however, many are now beginning to ask when the historic bull run will slow - or reverse.

Tweeting his forecast Tuesday, Max Keiser, the commentator famous for his Bitcoin and Dash advocacy, said he imagined $15,000 would the limit at which markets would take stock.

397  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-06] Cryptocurrency Market Cap Now Higher Than JPMorgan Chase on: December 06, 2017, 01:24:39 PM
The total market cap for cryptocurrency went over $370 billon today, surpassing the market cap of JPMorgan Chase. Perhaps Jamie Dimon might have to eat some crow for Christmas.

It may be time for Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, to get ready to start eating some humble pie. As everyone who’s interested in cryptocurrency knows, Dimon has really loathed Bitcoin, taking every opportunity he can to bash it. His constant bellyaching about Bitcoin has made him an object of ridicule in the crypto world. Well, the worm has finally turned as the total cryptocurrency market cap is now higher than that of JP Morgan Chase.

WHO’S LAUGHING NOW?

CNBC is reporting that, as of 6:50am London time, the total market value of all the various cryptocurrencies reached an all-time high of over $370 billion. The numbers are glorious to see, which you can view at Coinmarketcap. By comparison, the total market cap for JPMorgan is $366.8 billion.

Back at an Institute of International Finance conference last October, Jamie Dimon had this to say about Bitcoin:

I could care less what bitcoin trades for, how it trades, why it trades, who trades it. If you’re stupid enough to buy it, you’ll pay the price for it one day. I’ve also told people that it can trade at $100,000 before it trades to zero. Tulip bulbs traded for $75,000 or something like that.

ok, it seems litecoin and OMG looks the most profitable ones. I`m not surprised if it is a true picture, after post on reddit or medium, where time traveller fairly accurate predicted bitcoin at a cost of 10 000$ by the end of 2017. The most sad thing if all bad things will happen, institutions will fall, bitcoiner`s elite will rule the world instead of bankers... Blockchain technology and decentralization should help people, but not to disrupt the fiber of society.
