381  Economy / Economics / Re: A bubble is when price is not justified on: May 30, 2021, 08:09:13 PM
Well I do believe that people think there bubble is basically when the price keeps going higher and higher and suddenly the price comes down drastically.
Which has happened to the market a lot of times but I do believe that this is not only essential but its also character of a Crypto, which essentially distinguishes it from fiat and other currencies. I do think that this is a term which was coined by people who have their balances only in banks and other Investments.
- For me if the price is low 🔅 you just need to buy and wait for the perfect opportunity to sell.
This is how the bubble works, it's essential for the whole market and it is through this that we see the redistribution of wealth.

What people think a bubble is and what the actual meaning is are different,  people think this way because of misconception of the whole btc price movement,  btc is seen by many as a high quality asset which is the reason why so much value is placed on it,
I certainly don't think btc is a bubble otherwise the price will not be able to recover after it crashes,  that has not been the case, anytime btc crashes it comes back even stronger.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the future of BTC? Will it replace gold? on: May 29, 2021, 02:33:26 AM
Where is the future of BTC? Will it replace gold?

Please use search option to find some answers here in forum, this topic has been extensively discussed in previous topics similar to yours,  you will find different opinions of forum members regarding this topic,

However,  btc and gold are not the same, btc may be more expensive and has a higher price than gold, more people may shift from gold to btc for quick gains,  but gold will always remain gold and can never be replaced.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mixing your Bitcoin might become illegal in the future on: May 29, 2021, 02:28:20 AM
The recent popularity of Bitcoin has brought the attention of governments and central banks worldwide. We've seen certain opposition from countries like India, China, and Russia against the pioneer cryptocurrency. Countries that are friendly towards Bitcoin (like the US and UK), are constantly surveilling its citizens for any suspicious activity. I've seen that some countries have taken action against Bitcoin mixing services with the excuse that they're used for money laundering and terrorist financing. Since most (if not all) of these centralized mixers don't comply with KYC/AML regulations, they're subject to being shut down by the government. Imagine if criminals begin using Bitcoin mixers in mass for money laundering purposes. If the trend continues, mixing Bitcoin may turn out to become illegal.

Do you think there's a possibility this will happen in the future? If not, why? What do you think will happen once mixers (both custodial and non-custodial) are banned by the government? Will this force people to use privacy coins more thoroughly? Or will everything remain the same? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley

I don't think the government are on the wrong with this, since this service helps to ensure anonymity then it is very likely that shady people are using it for such activities to get away with their crimes, even with fiat people who are involve in bad things are using to launder money and other crimes talk less of btc that is anonymous,
Why would someone want to use this service if your btc are genuine? In a way I believe yes, government may soon consider the service illegal.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: May 29, 2021, 02:17:24 AM
The pandemic is not blessing for us but we have seen a huge change of Bitcoin price and broke all the records before. In this time of a year ago with compared to the present time, we can see a huge change and Bitcoin is up almost 1400%. Isn't it huge?

The next short term target is $60000. For now, next target is new ATH.

BITCOIN is for Hodlers
Not for weak hands
(I had read it somewhere, can't remember right now)

I would say btc is for everyone not just hodlers, except for weak hands, if you are short term,  long term, day traders, scalpers, flippers or whatever name is out there to describe it, only those panic sell btc low after buying high (weak hands) should not be in this category,
Everyone has a set goal but that doesn't mean they should not be considered as supporters.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats going on in Binance Smart Chain? on: May 28, 2021, 07:44:04 PM
First it was pancakeswap, venus, bunnyswap, now it is burgerswap and juld. What's going on?I know blockchains are vulnerable and all. But I noticed that the Binnace Smart Chain has been under severe attacks recently. Is it because of low number of validators leading faster transactions or what?

Defi generally are vulnerable because there are lot of similar cases before so i don't think  this is specific to bsc only, however,  it is important that great precaution, if this type of incident if persist can lead to distrust.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A vital question about doge coin on: May 28, 2021, 05:26:15 PM
That's up to the devs to consider, and come to think of it, this is very valid point you raise, now that doge is very popular I think it will be best if the devs can consider re-evaluating the tokenomics and create more utility for dogecoin instead of just being known as meme, it will just the price and make it more valuable.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling Ethereum on: May 27, 2021, 10:07:31 AM
If you're a US citizen didn't coinbase already have a service where they gonna take care of it for you and what you need to do is to fill some form? I mean coinbase literally have a department specialized for that
https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/taxes-reports-and-financial-services/taxes/coinbase-tax-resource-center so maybe you better contact them through that since you know they are a professional in that field.
But i think you're not gonna pay for capital gain taxes before you really make the "capital gain" or the profit is still an unrealized profit but i could be wrong, better ask the professional.

Perhaps the op was not aware of this coinbase already made service to make things like buying and selling crypto in the United States much easier even if you have no knowledge about the tax law,  it is good you share the information here so that others who are not aware will read this to help them understand it more better.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why bake and Cake going low? on: May 27, 2021, 10:00:55 AM
The market is down and every project is affected by the dip, although it seems some project have a faster recovery mode than some, project like sol already regain like 40% of the previous price they trade on before the bear market happen, others haven't recover that much, but that does not mean that bcs Chain already done, they will surely recover again.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: At what point do you stop buying the dip? on: May 26, 2021, 12:43:56 PM
Consider the speculation that btc can still go as high as 70k plus I would say we are still in the dip and still not a bad idea to buy at this price, same applies to eth and rest top alts with reduce price at the moment, but also bare in mind that it could dip again, no one can fully predict the direction the market will go.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: No new millionaires come from stock market in 2020/2021 on: May 26, 2021, 12:39:00 PM
Don't compare stock to crypto, in crypto it is very easy for someone to be a millionaire within few days if you invest in the right project at the right time, but in stock such achievement can never happen because as we all already know stock is highly regarded and unnecessary pump don't usually occur.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is PancakeSwap and how does it work? on: May 25, 2021, 03:35:09 PM
For those who don't know how this dex work, my advice is go download safepal wallet and you will find all the necessary dex in the app, the best way to connect your wallet to uniswap, pancakeswap, sushi, dodo and 1inch swap,  everything under one roof with safepal wallet app.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: May 25, 2021, 03:30:49 PM
Only if you can be sure that the staking reward is good and you have a good number of the coins/tokens to stake to generate good reward,  otherwise I won't recommend staking because at the end of the day, you will not be happy with what you will receive, more like it benefits the project more than the staker imo.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season ending in may ? on: May 25, 2021, 03:27:28 PM
Some people are still very bullish about this year bull run and altcoin season, some still hold a strong believe that btc will go above 70k before year end, if this happens or if it will happen then probably some alts will also do well too, everything depend on btc performance, so let's just hope btc will come back with force.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Run and the end of many of the Meme/Sh*tCoins on: May 24, 2021, 08:08:15 AM
Personally, I think and hope that a longer bear run throughout summer could potentially lead to the end of many projects that were created solely to cash in on the hype of crypto. My analysis is that less than 20% of crypto holders are invested because they believe in the utilization or general functionality of their coin or token. The overall market cap of all of crypto is around 30% of its stated amount on CoinMarketCap, IMO.

If crypto is going to continue to climb the mainstream latter in terms of quality investment tool, stability and actual utilization for the purpose many of these tokens/coins were originally created then we are going to need to purge some of the craziness. I am hoping this bear run will be the beginning of that process.

This is a temporary solution to shitcoins being created in every bull circle, even if the bear succeed to purge out most of the shit meme coins created solely for the defi hype, once there is another bull circle more will be created, any new trend also brings along more shitcoins, so you see the solution to erase or wipe shitcoins is temporary.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoins are backed by Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2021, 07:58:57 AM
So I am a newbie and I always had this question in my mind why all altcoins are backed with BTC because at times like these altcoins are the most affected one there are some really great altcoins out there but due to this correction we can see a massive drop in those coins and I don't think it is fair to other coins that because of only one single coin they also see a massive drop.

I am saying again I am just a newbie who is trying to understand these market.

Thank you

btc is the first crypto to ever and has a huge market cap and widely accepted in the crypto community, every exchange list btc as trading pair against other coins/tokens, any project who want to have a wide reach of users will definitely paired to btc when listing on exchange to have wider market, so in this case, when btc going down most alts are equally down, same when btc is up. the whole market largely depend on btc.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Benefited from AME Token? on: May 24, 2021, 07:52:59 AM
Yes, I see that the team is in no hurry to distribute bounty tokens, we received the first batch for Twitter, but for Facebook and the rest, no.
so they still haven't sent the tokens for the bounty? Well, they're a professional team, I'm pretty sure they'll send it.

however, at this time I am also interested in this project. In fact, I think almost all of its users have benefited, even now because the price is still quite high and is above the initial price. however, I am waiting for this coin to hit the price of $ 0.1

No till now they haven't sent the remaining reward of bounty hunters which they promise, even the bm small rabbit already tired of continuous asking @Gale_india about the hunters reward which he promised to be paid within may, till now no proper response from him, every time you will see some shady projects trying to take advantage of hunters effort, see latest stunt from stc team, very disappointing.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: 🔴 Breaking News - Elon Musk is going to part with all his Bitcoin BTC on: May 23, 2021, 05:26:23 AM
We understand that the crypto market has its ups and downs but the little push by Elon musk will soon blow over and the market returns back to normalcy even if it will take some years as usual but at least I hope Investors learn from this and not quick to react to all such kind of news.
That's what I'm thinking--bitcoin has survived worse news than this, although in this case it's more than news if Musk dumped a ton of bitcoin onto the market all at once.  I just looked at preev and the price is just over $44k, which is quite a drop.  I don't know if this is a case of people following Elon Musk and selling bitcoin or if it was his sale or something else that caused it.  Who knows.  Hopefully it won't take too long for bitcoin to rebound, because I don't think the bull market is over.  Not by a long shot.

As far as Elon Musk's reputation goes, I don't think he damaged it by anything he's done with bitcoin.  It does look like he hadn't thought things through before making statements and his buying and selling, but maybe he's just impulsive.  I don't know much about the guy.

Nah, Elon is the brain behind a successful company like Tesla,  I don't believe he didn't think things through,  he is too intelligent to fall in that category,  what I feel is, Elon loves meme coin and he view the whole crypto space as such, a fun place where little tweets can make a huge impact on the market,  he found a play toy,

Don't be surprised, after all this has gone down he will make another tweet how he misunderstood the whole btc mining thing, and the whole space will go crazy again,  honestly, I want to knock some sense into the head of those followers.
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin difficulty will drop in 8 days. on: May 23, 2021, 05:17:26 AM
Maybe before 8 days price already recover whether difficult drop or not, since this space is highly unpredictable and can take us by surprise it is very likely things will turn around before then, most price pump don't usually have a significant reason, just suddenly the price will reverse and left people wondering what happened.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Current Market Cycle Analysis on: May 23, 2021, 05:08:44 AM
Looking through crypto twitter it seems like their are a lot of useless opinions about/directed at other parties (Musk, maximalists, etc.) and not so much by way of objective analysis of what is actually going on in the market right now.

Any decent analysis out there about what's going on right now, preferably with reference to on chain data?

Nobody can tell what exactly is going on right now, maybe there is inside manipulation Nobody can say, bit what is visible is the Elon tweet which causes a drastic drop of btc and rest of alts, even if it is difficult to point out an exact reason, it doesn't change the fact that the big whales are at play, there is no need to try and find this out because this is part of the space.
400  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding a bear market. on: May 22, 2021, 03:48:03 AM
Bear market is not that bad nor can it be avoided, I see it as a way of cleaning up the space for a healthier market, an opportunity for new investors to buy at a reasonable price, anyone in crypto should always be prepared for this period and also understand it won't last forever, bull and bear both have a time frame.
