Just found a website that I figured I'd share with everyone.
http://www.browserminer.com
You just let it run and it will mine a small amount of BTC from your web browser.

Please let me know what you think!

Thanks

Firstly, welcome too the site Smiley Feel free to ask me anything you want. Check out my site in my signature if you are new too bitcoin Smiley

Hmmmmm http://www.browserminer.com/ is a direct copy of http://www.bitcoinplus.com/

Bitcoin Plus has a "scammy" reputation due too the very low payout, you would need to receive many payouts to even be able to afford the withdrawal fees. Just be wise buddy Smiley

I voted other. I think "unused" bitcoins at the moment should be invested into BTC related businesses and ideas to help boost the integrity, security and understanding of the currency! If I get lucky anytime soon I am going to set up some kind of grant or investment site to help BTC users who have innovative ideas. I personally have had many ideas that I think would/could benefit the community and currency but the only problem is the funding. Smiley

I think you should swap xx sold | yy bought under the barometer to bought | sold. Or maybe it's just me, but I associate top with left and green/top is the first thing you see and because we read from left to right, shouldn't green be the first thing to read, too? Smiley

I think we could get the stars of the music world on board if they figured out that they can be paid directly...their entire industry could be changed for the better using Bitcoin.

The artists could actually get paid for their art, instead of getting shafted repeatedly at every level of production and distribution.

Essentially every artist could be an indie artist....with the benefit of possibly getting rich from their work.

Right now the music industry is in a very screwed up top heavy organization, with contracts designed to contain new artists so that they can never hope to make real money. This has produced "one hit wonder" after "one hit wonder" and the producers are the ones getting rich as a result. They do not want bands to be successful beyond the one hit wonder, as it means in the next contract they will have more leverage to get paid.

Their fans should be the ones deciding the success of our favorite bands....not the fat cat producers.

Bitcoin is the solution to this problem.

My idea was to use something like phonegap, so you could use the same codebase for website and mobile app.

Ah! Thank you for that tip, I will keep it in mind buddy Tongue

How much are you paying for this?

Maybe it would be worth to do it as a mobile app for android?

I would consider doing that too but I think that the online game sites would be a very good way to get us some more exposure to "the next generation"..... afterall....they are the ones who will be using crypto in the future Smiley Any Ideas how much it would cost to make a mobile app roughly dude? Smiley

Thank you for the input man!

Basically I am considering a tycoon style game about BTC mining. The game will be aimed at people who are not actively using Bitcoin at the moment. I want to make a simple beta for the game and put it on a few websites like Miniclip and Addictive games to gauge interest and see if it would be worth going all the way and making a more substantial game.

The concept - You would start off in your parents house on a shitty old laptop or PC and start mining coins. As you save up the coins there will be various things too buy (not sure what yet, maybe upgraded computer parts, new house, multiple commuters). As you get enough coins you will buy a GPU and mine with that. Then ASICS. You will move out of your parents house when you can afford too etc Tongue

Thats only a very basic idea at the moment! What do you guys think and ANY help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated and would help so much! A graphic designer has contacted me about the art work so we will see how that goes Smiley

Feel free to ask me any questions Smiley We can do this BTC community haha! Tongue

I am hoping to make a online game about BTC but aimed at NON-bitcoin users to try and get more interest from the younger generation. Baring in mind I am a 19 yo student, I recived a basic quote for the game at around £5000 which I cannot afford haha. In the near future (if i can get a fair quote for the game) I may need a loan to help fund the making of the game.
