Regarding the Name Change

Bellacoin.com is under control of @TwoTurtes, an ex-developer on this project. Since he still uses the Bellacoin.com domain for emails, he is unwilling to pass the domain over to us or use it for the Belacoin project. That is entirely acceptable and understandable. We decided we could get around this by purchasing either Bella-coin.com or changing the name to Belacoin.

Moreover, our main project that will utilize the Belacoin blockchain goes by the name Belacam. After researching the market, we anticipate the potential to acquire 20,000-100,000 users, bringing a massive influx of users to the Belacoin project. To help these users transition between Belacam and Belacoin, our analyst team agreed that a name change from Bellacoin to Belacoin would be in the best interest of everyone.

We recognize that a name change isn't wholly desirable to everyone, but in the end, it will decrease the barriers to entry for new investors, meaning this name change should help increase the price of Belacoin. This is a positive thing for current investors in Belacoin.

We have been in contact with both @Twoturtles (the original developer, now working on the Neos project and no longer affiliated with Bellacoin) and @androidcryptogames, the talented game developer who has built the Bellachess game that this community knows and loves. It has come to our analysts’ attention that Bellacoin lacks both a lead developer and a supportive team.


After speaking to both parties mentioned above and receiving their consent, the Ambia Fund has decided to temporarily take over the role of managing Bellacoin. As quickly as possible, will be looking to source a lead developer and team members who can fill part-time supportive roles and retake the project back from us. Let it be known that this is very good news for Bellacoin. Yesterday, it had no management team. Today, it does.


We will also be assembling a Board of Advisors—experienced and trusted members of the cryptocurrency community who will provide advice and insight for the incoming lead developer and supporting team members. We will require that the lead developer assume his or her role without anonymity. 


Below are our highest-priority updates that we will be working on:

• Changing the name from Bellacoin to Belacoin
• Designing a new logo
• Providing a new informative website
• Updating the code behind the project
• Updating the wallets
• Sourcing a new lead developer
• Sourcing a support crew

We are moving to implement these changes as quickly as possible. A new logo is already in the works, and we will serve as the lead management for the coin until a permanent lead developer can be found within the next 7 days.


We recognize that these updates need to be quickly implemented so that Bellacoin is sustainable under new leadership, allowing us to focus on our Belacam project. While we will maintain a partner on the Board of Advisors, we will be passing off the full responsibilities of management as soon as a lead developer is nominated by us and approved by the community. No lead developer will be entrusted with the role unless the Bellacoin community as a whole—the supporters beyond the Ambia Fund—support and trust the nominee with the future of Bellacoin.


Some Context about our Project
Attracted by Bellacoin's quick block time and blockchain stability, we have decided to use it as the cryptocurrency that will fuel our social-media startup project: Belacam. Since the use of Bellacoin is integral to Belacam, it is imperative that Bellacoin is first built up to a stable level and respected as a cryptocurrency in the community. That is, in order for our project to succeed, Bellacoin must succeed first. We are here to make it succeed.


We will be releasing full information on Belacam within the next few days. This will include an overview of the idea, competitor analysis, a market segmentation, financial projections, and updates on what has so far been accomplished.

To suit our project, Bellacoin must first be in top condition. We likely will be updating the wallets or building new ones to handle increased adoption of Bellacoin that comes as a side benefit to our marketing.

This Saturday, one of the Ambia Fund partners is traveling to meet with two of the programmers for our project. We believe that they will be able to finalize the public project deck as well as lay down an internal roadmap for the rest of our work with Bellacoin.

In the past few days, we have solidified our plans to work with Bellacoin. The Ambia Fund, with the help of @androidcryptogames and a team of programmers and designers that we have sourced, will be spending the next few weeks working on a major project that runs with the help of the Bellacoin blockchain and requires Bellacoins as the fuel for the user experience.

Our Project

The Ambia Fund will be providing funds to cover the cost of acquiring these programmers and developers. We will also provide funding for the marketing of this project and cover the costs of research, development, and any other necessary expenditures along the way. Essentially, we are providing a blank check for this project. Our hopes for a successful exit include being acquired by a larger company in the same market, in which the project, its tech, and assets are purchased in the acquisition.

In the coming days, we will release more information about the project. It brings a new purpose to Bellacoin, unrelated to chess as it has been in the past. Bellachess, playable online and on android devices, will still continue as a separate project. To better explain this scenario, consider Ethereum. Ether is the basis of both the TinyPay and Firstblood.io startups, and Ethereum is not solely defined by one or the other.

Bellacoin Updates
To make Bellacoin more attractive and accessible for our users, we will first be redesigning a few segments of the coin itself. We will be providing Bellacoin with a new website and a new logo. We have partnered with Cryptodesigners.org—a new organization that provides free design work to cryptocurrency coins and startups. In exchange, their team gains real-life work experience that can help them seek jobs and the networking opportunities that come with working intimately with a cryptocurrency project. They have pledged two designers to this mission. We expect a logo redesign to be releasing soon, and the website for Bellacoin should come shortly after that.

Before our project can be finished, the wallets to Bellacoin will have to be updated as well. Therefore, we will play a role in ensuring that the Bellacoin wallets are dependable and professional.

We have contacted @androidcryptogames via private message with an overview of our initial proposal. He responded with extreme enthusiasm for a partnership, and we are working on discussing the finer details. In the mean time, we are rolling forward with some analysis and research on our side. The DDOS attacks on Bitcointalk have made communication response time slow between the developer and us.

We wouldn't say the partnership is official yet, but we are moving forward on our end as if it is. This will allow us to be fully ready once we want to publicly announce our partnership and plans for the future of Bella.

We are researching potential markets and routes for expansion for the Bella project. Our analysts feel that targeting Chess games, while a great start that initially helped gain Bella traction, will be too narrow a niche to reach high-return status.

Possible projects for expansion include the following:

• Bellacam: An Instagram-like social media that runs on Bellacoin—similar to mixing Instagram with Steem
• Bellaradio: Uniting cryptocurrencies with the world of mainstream radio

Once we have decided on a route for expansion and have coordinated more with the main developer, we will release a due-diligence deck outlining the project to potential investors and begin contracting out segments of the operation to designers and programmers around the world.

@androidcryptogames, we have responded to your message and would love to further discuss funding for BELA and sourcing other resources that may be of use to the team. We will be handling the design updates, promo website development, and sourcing other team members for positions within the Bela project.

It appears that Pinkcoin has been somewhat abandoned by the original developers, is that correct? May we please have some presentation of the current leadership on the project? This transparency will help community members identify holes in the project, and those same members should be invited to fill them.

There is power in a community that believes in a coin—there is power in 1 man who believes in a coin. Even if a project does not have the human capital necessary to solve the problems it currently faces, these resources can be acquired as time passes and the project develops in other areas.

A rising tide lifts all ships.
When the community starts fixing problems within Pink that it can with its current set of skills, the other issues will be easier to fix. More supporters will join the project, with each one bringing his or her own set of unique skills to offer. Eventually, it's likely that Pink will find someone to reset the wallet, fix the blockchain, and reimplement anonymous transactions.

Asking for updates doesn't necessarily indicate anything negative about the project. It's all too possible that those asking are simply new to the project; therefore, it's quite possible that many people asking for updates, especially in close time conjunction, would indicate growing interest for the coin.

It does, however, also demonstrate a room for improvement in the field of the communication. Using one social media site might not be enough, so utilizing a social-media manager may be a valuable solution. Doing so seems like an easy fix that can add a significant amount of value to the project.

What would a stake entail? What would the revenue model be for paying out dividends to stakeholders, and how would this be regulated? There is a future for Bellacoin if some organization can come to the project, and purchasing a stake may not be necessary.

Marketing looks solid. The fact that your team has releases every few days keeps investors on their toes, and it keeps the hype about 1CR relevant. I would recommend to space out your releases though. You don't want to run out of new things to provide a hungry crowd.

Tobler, we are highly interested in Geocoin's potential. We have actively watched it on Poloniex for sometime and have been curious about its future in the Geocaching field (or whatever other direction it may be headed). We eagerly await news regarding the app and would love to hear about the formative phases of the coin.
