381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago mined 50 Bitcoin just moved on: August 26, 2022, 09:10:58 AM
What I find really interesting about this and similar historical Bitcoin which havent
moved is that the owners are and were able to HODL for so long through the various highs
we have seen, notably the recent $69,000 high.

I like also how a move like this generates a lot of speculation, I wonder if the owner is on the
forum looking at this thread?

Who knows what the reason for this move is, it could be any number of reasons.
My only curiosity lies in the time of movement. if he didnt move for 12 years and didnt sell at ATH up till 50k why moving now. Actually there are no assurance he is selling, no indication that he moved the coin himself as well and no reason known to profit more now. Do we have any staking platform for bitcoin at the moment?
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which option will better to take? on: August 24, 2022, 08:22:00 PM
Accepting Bitcoin as legal tender wouldn't harm for the economy even it's on bear market, this because people are use it as a currency and not mainly for store a value. Actually countries that doesn't accept Bitcoin as legal tender would harm the economy since they're not use Bitcoin regularly due to it's not accepted on merchants. But we're talking if there's many people who hold Bitcoin, if it's only small group, then the effect is small.

The best option is don't force the countries to accept Bitcoin as legal tender, but governments shouldn't ban Bitcoin and allow any merchants if they want to accept Bitcoin payment.
It is a difficult topic for bitcoin maximalists for a coin that is volatile with that long bear and unpredictable bull market, it is not advisable. I would advise bitcoin to stay as store of value than legal tender. How will a trader take care of the deep when he need fund from another purchase of good? Government also understand the challenges and try not to encourage citizens to use it especially those that cant handle the ordeal of its volatility.
383  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Unique Wallet address. on: August 24, 2022, 08:13:18 PM
There is a website which can give you randomly generated seed and private keys. I heard that some time people found money on those addresses.
If you generate a private key randomly, it's impossible that it has been generated by someone else before.
So, you can't have a private key which has been generated randomly and its associated address has been already funded.
Thats means once an account had been created its impossible for anyone to find it twice by random?
finding at random may be different from generating a wallet at random, generating should indicate a new. The random may also mean the private keys are randomly arranged. A new wallet cant have coins inside it if generated. There is no way you can defend this post, If you make the website known, we might do research on it to find out how safe and how coins get into the wallet.

The size of the forum storage cant be over-emphasize, massive, I will recommend the forum for anyone into bitcoin history research, is wealth of information from pioneering developers. Such a thread should come up at the anniversary of the forum to remind us of the purpose of the forum, discuss the successes and recommend improvements. Besides the website is simple, not heavy and can be easily work with
386  Other / Meta / Re: How important are you on this forum? on: August 05, 2022, 12:16:44 PM
I dont know what question you posted but It must have been of the administrative purpose of the forum. It is nothing to boast about and I feel this should not be the reason you are here, To make yourself important or get response from forum administrator. I expect the forum to the first recipient of news coming in cryptocurrency. With the development of each state of cycle, the forum should have threads discussing the next building stages, marketing strategy and technical developments.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AfterBurner.Finance | DeFi 3.0 Redesigned | 10,100% APY ~ 1.28% Daily ROI on: August 04, 2022, 07:32:17 PM
Basically, The Anti-Dump Mechanism allows only 1-5% of your balance to daily cash out and prevents sudden crashes from happening. The selling allowance is determined based on the recent buy and sell pressure of the token. Our investors gained 22% in 4 days and if you look at the chart it looks stable and healthy even though this bear market. Rebase rewards come from revenue generated by the protocol's transaction taxes (fees) and other various yield-generating features. We don't hide anything from our investors, everything is written on the whitepaper.
I dont support rebase token and have seen a lot of then gone as quickly as they came. I got many questions, though I dont want my coin dumping but I dont like the ability not to sell when I wish, which afterburner does not support selling as wish. Will this principle be on all type of wallet including the exchange wallet, can I also have my gain on my exchange wallet?
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's to make of the NFT craze in retrospect? on: August 04, 2022, 07:25:36 PM
NFT got its momentum well when the crypto market was bullish that year, many people took advantage of it to make it look redundant, but now the light has dimmed with so many NFTs have lost so much value today, it's hard to even sell them at low prices now. I'm not sure that NFT can still get hype back even though the market will be bullish in the future.

NFT doesn't really have any useful utility besides hype. Like memecoins, many people say it will die after the bear market comes but look how the meme has survived from bear season to bear season, they don't go away and I think the NFT market doesn't either. As long as manipulation remains in the market, trends like memes, NFTs will not go away, there will still be projects hyped to attract new investors.
Meme coin has a kind of tokenomics that get most coins back to the whales after the bull market, they dont have the same circulation like other coin and this makes it very easy to pump and manipulate. I expect those meme coins in the last bull not to thrive as expected except they built other used cases around it, because traders are getting awakening to the type of manipulation. This might give opportunities to a more dis-centralized tokenomics. Another advantage is the number of centralized exchanges trading it. NFTs is in the early days, they will blow
389  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: August 03, 2022, 11:44:16 AM

Well I asked about someone getting banned over image plagiarism as you mentioned that, among other things. As far as i know, no one got banned for that.

That's exactly what I am saying, that forum is more lenient when it comes to image plagiarism even when someone explicitly claims the ownership of the

I found the relax rule on image plagiarism rule considerate. Image plagiarism does not generally have a strict consequences like the word plagiarism in the secular world compare with academics, so I find the relax approach accomodating. If we may care to know, how many images do we find on the forum?. Asides quoting the source, paraphrasing is not allowed in image, we should not stress this except in signature plagiarism.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: Too much talk about gaz food news talk too much on: August 03, 2022, 11:23:12 AM
What do you care what the news talks about? this is what they do, they have an obligation to give information about what is happening around the world. If you don't find it interesting am sure others don't mind.
The EU can find an alternative to get gas but it doesn't stop them from talking and discussing the problem at hand which is Putin and the unending war causing many economic crises. you must think this type of situation can be fixed just by the snap of a finger.
And as for cows and milk, truly I have no word for you because I do not know from where you crawl out that prevent you from seeing the inflation rate happening all over the world, nobody said cows are not producing milk but the demand for it is more than supply and that goes for other food items.
EU thought they can find alternative to get gas but they later realized there is no other way, German will be faced with the heat when winter start soon, the reserve will last less than a month from now. Even US are feeling the heat and being insulted while trying to appease the Rivals. They all didn't prepare for this. The increase in food price is the ripple effect from fuel hike but the low income countries are hit more with more than 100% food inflation rate
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Crypto friendly country? on: August 02, 2022, 08:54:09 PM
No tax: UAE, Monaco, Bermuda, etc you can search about a country that doesn't have any income tax.
Adequate banks: You can look in this site [1] and look if the bank is ban of Bitcoin
Legal tender: Only on El Salvador and Central African Republic currently.

You can't have all those option, you can choose at least 2 of them depends on you want.

Many countries in Africa does not input taxes, maybe because they tried the regulation the wrong way which resulted in closure of many exchanges and foreign exchange operating within the countries engage P2P transaction. Nigeria for example is has high cryptocurrency trade last but got traders not paying tax because of p2p. I never knew Monaco exist as a country asides the Monaco in France. Some of these islands have no regulations for crypto

1. Somethings about the space are better left and not spoken about. I understand the impact of the halving but a huge amount of money pumps the market, you might get the idea of the size of the amount for the pump soon.announcement of Increase in Interest rate of where fund are borrowed affect the dump last year
2. Bitcoin is in 4 year cycle and my 100k expectation is in following next bitoin bull
3. Money flow from bitcoin to altcoins, then back to bitcoin, this determines when the next altseason
393  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptocurrency exchange koinex shut down in india on: August 01, 2022, 09:50:31 PM
why is it that people are still afraid to adopt it, but it is legal in many countries
Can anyone tell?
It is the government who doesn't want the people to properly use Bitcoin. The citizens are willing to use it and India is a nation where Bitcoin and crypto is very popular.
The reason some governments are scared to not allow free usage of cryptocurrencies; they cannot control it.
Warizx is also an India exchange in that was helped by Binance at launching, as at today it produces over $5million daily trade in the bear. Obviously there are chances that the exchange did nothing about the regulation and was ax. Such exchange in that kind of countries will have option of P2P trade to make more money and establish itself but if he decides not to conform with the regulatory bodies, they wont be trusted and might be attacked even by the media.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Be a Failure Even If It Hits $100,000, Says "Black Swan" Author !! on: August 01, 2022, 07:14:48 AM
Whales is playing out sentiments on the peak of the price of the bull market, well might be disappointing that the technical analysis that predicted the 100k failed. I also believe EThereum with its size of market also disappointed especially with the slow process of hardfork, which could giving bit push on bitcoin. The space achieved more than 6 trillion dollars and bitcoin stayed above 30% throughout the market, also unprecedented after altcoins .

You can sleep without worrying about crashes with Afterburner Finance. Thanks to the Anti-Dump Mechanism, Afterburner offers a safe environment against market volatility and crashes, accumulating your investment safely.
Some things are very difficult to believe in this space, so antidump is the new attractive word. If it so, tell how is works better and can stand the bear market? I observed that the token is the listed of price chart but not the top charts, why such choice? are they hiding anything from the public? With the antecedent will taking and Defi, How can any Defi convince traders that they will do better than Ethereum and other Defi orojects  in this market?

397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc not moving but we need every day some moves where the moves? on: July 29, 2022, 08:07:32 PM
Mate I don't even know how many threads you've already created on how bitcoin isn't moving. BTC's literally down 4.4% in 24 hours, and up 4.7% in a week. If you really want more volatility, go trade low-volume shitcoins.
He got few similar thread topics in the forum. He is just an anxious new trader that might have invested when the market is bearish recently. Bearish market can be very long and painful, am scared to tell some traders that the bear market not be over soon. He needs to read by searching the forum, then noticed most of his question had already been answered. He need to hold a good amount of stable coin or fiat in this market to buy from the dip.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 year of accepting crypto payment in my fashion store on: July 29, 2022, 07:59:41 PM
Now that most volatile coins has dumped massively, how do you preserve the value of your coin?
Do you consider stable coin for payment as well?
Cryptocurrency make provision for fast payment everywhere in the world. How have you gotten customers outside Nigeria?
How do also cope customers with previous bad experience with cryptocurrency?
399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefits of been a bitcointalk member on: July 28, 2022, 09:05:24 PM
As regard the market place in the Forum, there are provisions for escrow( a trust middle man that hold funds while you trade, confirm a credible transaction and release fund), Escrow are usually paid and is very cheap service. I dont know of any other forum that can help with other information technology like this Forum, you can find topics on topics like cyber security, ethical hacking etc.  The forum also provide access to a long time of information from pioneering project with preservation of information from anyone except the account holder.
400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bottom in for BTC? on: July 28, 2022, 09:38:26 AM
Whenever I see topics about the bottom both on the forum and the social media, then I expect another dip. It could indicate several buy order are set around this price in most of the exchanges. Then the onchain analysis could tell with number of bitcoin deposited in past few weeks on exchanges. All the space will need a news, not necessarily a very bad new before we see another deep, I dont deny that we are close to the bottom of the market from here, maybe just 2 steps from it.
